The senior class of twenty twenty four here at Bartlesville High School was comprised of Nola Arvill match our time for us, Thank you for joining us and celebrating the twenty twenty four graduating class at Bartsow High School. It has been a very long four years, to say the least, but we did it, and I am so proud
of you all. When mister Hart told me I was supposed to reflect on the past, I thought about moving to Bartlesville the spring before my freshman year during a pandemic. I thought about the football team making a playoff run by junior year. I thought about me, Grant Clark, and Morgan ross Miller leading the student section. I thought about joining stuco and expanding it to the
biggest student council in school history. I thought about raising over eleven thousand dollars for Mad Week, and most importantly, I thought about that fire that those kids started in the freshman bathroom that got us out of class. Shout out to those guys. Thank you guys. Reflecting on the past, maybe reflect on some mireles that occurred during my time here, but one miracle outshines all the rest. With ease, Aid and Pugh is graduating. Round of applause
for Aid and Pugh. Please, I would like to give a very special thanks to TikTok for making all my classes one hundred times more enjoyable. It single handedly carry me through the dark age also known as junior year. For the sake of all faculty at Barnesow High School, and so that Michael Harp doesn't drop kick me after I walk off the stage. Please do not watch TikTok and class. To end things off, I would like to give the younger classes a bit of advice. First of all, I encourage all of
you to join Student Council at NHS. These are both excellent ways to get involved with not only the school, but with the community as well as a bonus, they look great when applying to collegescond turn in all of your assignments late. You may be asking, how is that helpful whatsoever? It isn't, but I'm graduating. The last thing I'll leave you with is a quote from a man who I look up to daily, Conan O'Brien, who said, please do not be cynical. A simple quote, yet one with great
meaning. Always, and I mean always, look at the best of people. Being rude, judgmental, or jealous will not help you in high school or life in general. Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight, and congratulations to the class of twenty twenty four. I love you all. Thank you. Hellas baby Batchel there will be president of the Class of twenty twenty
four. Providing his remarks said high school graduation Heuret Bargosville High School. Now taking her place at the lectern is Lord Lee, who is the president at the BHS student body, Good evening, Esteem's faculty, honored guests, proud parents, bored's siblings, and of course the wonderful class of twenty twenty four. I'm Lauren Lee, and I've had the pleasure to serve as Barswell High
School's student body present. Before I start, I would like to thank all the teachers, mentors, educators, parents and loved ones who have poured all their time and dedication into guiding us to this momentous occasion. We truly will not be here today without you today, Marx and Milestone, not just for us, but for everyone and everything that's made an impact on you during your time here. So to the midnight study sessions, spontaneous hangouts, and to
the friends who became family. All of these has shaped us into the Brooin graduates we are today. A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of going to Atlanta and got to hear from Karla Harris, a senior clinic advisor at Morgan Stanley and appointed by Barack Obama as the chair of the National Women's Business Council. During her compelling speech, she said, a bell is not
a bell until you ring it. What does that mean exactly? It means seize the opportunities that lie ahead of you, and if they aren't right in front of you, that's okay. Take a step and ring the bell yourself. Create the opportunities that you wish for, Be proactive in the life you want to live, and soon enough, you find yourself being corrective and making
your dreams aspirations and goals turn into a tangible reality. During my four years at Barsville High School, I've seen classmates apply Harris's advice through auditioning for the annual school play, doing signs there for the last and final year, practice hours worth the music, advocate for the changes they want to see in the world, and take on leadership roles in various clubs and organizations. As we enter the beginning years of adulthood, we can find ourselves faced with the multitude
of choices. Am I pursuing the right career? Is this what I want to do with my life? What if I fail? As we march forward, it's helpful to understand where we've been, so we know what we want to pursue. The big events in our lives often lead to choices about who we are but who we want to become. Sometimes these choices are conscious,
other times they're subconscious. Regardless of whether these choices occur, most of us are familiar with this notion and are well acquainted with phrases like these things have made me who I am today. So I invite you to explore some of these moments in your life. What has perpetually inspired you to continue the path you want to pursue. What have been some obstacles you've had to overcome. If there's anything I've learned from my time here at Barsville High School is that
we have learned to embrace the unknown. We have learned to embrace change. It may have not been easy all the time, but we did it. Freshman year we survived the pandemic. Sophomore year we survived their erratic growth spurts. Junior year was the beginning of figuring out where we wanted life to take us. And senior year, well, that was the time to make everything
happen. Began embracing all life had coming at us, and as through the culmination of hard work, determination, and little sprinkle of hope that has led us to this propitious day. But during this chaotic time, remember to savor what life has to offer. In fact, there's a saying yesterday's history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today's a gift. It's why it's called the
present. As we gather here on this auspicious day, we are presented with the gift of this moment, a moment filled with reflection, anticipation, and celebration. So it is with great excitement that I wish you the class A twenty twenty four, a prosperous future ahead. Engratulations brands, And I was darn Lee, the president of the BHS student body with her presidential address.
Now coming to this the sit stage, mother, we have a bit of a tradition where we're going to take a class selface, so gets your hair all nice and then we'll be out of here. Of course, he is student leadership taking the class selfie. That's something that they have done since I can remember, starting back with a person by the name of Brent Cunningham, if I'm not mistaken, who made that a tradition at Barlosaw High School graduation
now Genua to perform some special music. We do have Katie Hatfield from the class of twenty twenty four. She would be performing a Million Dreams from the Greatest Human by Pink. Superintendent McCauley, mister Bilker, members of the Board of Education, parents, guest, and honored graduates of the class of twenty twenty four. As principal at Bartlesville High School, it is my pleasure to
present the graduating class of twenty twenty four. This class has distinguished herself with a National Merit finalist, two Academic All Stators, and has been awarded over two million dollars in scholarships and numerous other awards. I want to recognize the members of the National Honor Society. You will notice they are wearing white stoles. Congratulations NHS members for your service and academic performance with the National Honor Society.
Members. Please stand and be recognized. Thank you. You may be seated. I also want to recognize students who have completed at least one honors course of study. These students are wearing gold tassels, while all students wearing a gold tassel. Please stand and be recognized. Thank you. You may be seated. It is my honor to recognize the contributions and dedication of the Bartlesville Public School District teachers and staff. Bartlesville teachers from kindergarten through high school
have had the pleasure of working with these graduates. Several of these teachers and staff are joining us this evening. All of our teachers and staff are dedicated to the success of our students, and we thank them for their service. With all Bartlesville teachers and staff past and present, please stand and be recognized. Then you may be seated. Congratulations and graduates. As you stand here on the threshold of a new adventure, I am reminded of a quote by
Nelson Mandela. Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to learning have equipped you with a powerful weapon. Now go out into the world and atleash your potential. A night change and make a positive impact. Embrace challenges, believe in yourselves, and let your education be the catalyst for a bright future.
An example of this is when you entered our building in the fall of twenty twenty, there was a lot of uncertainty, and look where you're at today. I know for a fact there is not a challenge you cannot overcome. Remember you have the power to change the world, and never forget where you
come from. I have examined the records of this class and by the authority visit in me by the Board of Education Bartlesville Independent School District number thirty, I certified the members of the twenty twenty four Bartlesville High School graduating class meet the requirements for graduation as set forth by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and
the Bartlesville Board of Education. I am proud to recommend the members of the Bartlesviell High School class of twenty twenty four be awarded their high school diplomas. Mister Scott Bilger, president of the Board of Education, authorizes the graduate graduation of the day class and will issue the diplomas well. The class of twenty twenty four, please come forward, just a little changing program. There.

We would like to thank you our friends and families for attending our celebration. Also, thank you to our teachers who have helped us out along the way. Before we leave and go into the world, we have one last piece of wisdom to share. There have been a lot of things said this evening and over the past few years about the future, about what life will be like and how
we should live it. We have been handed a pile of strategies for happiness and success. We all have expectations, and we all have expectations, anxieties, hopes and fears, points of pride and insecurities. However, remember that we can't let our fears limit who we are. I won't say don't be afraid of anything, because it is a very scary place out there, and some fear is to be expected. As Michelle Obama once said, don't be afraid, be focused, be determined, be hopeful, be empowered. Life
is about change. We have to be ready to change and grow with it. Go forth and conquer. And those were closing remarks from kid Winter. Remember of the class of twenty twenty four.
