Sorry if I'm heaving breathing, maybe breathing heavy. I didn't have time to stop walking and I'm scared. Good afternoon everyone, Thank you for all coming tonight. My name is Alissa car Okay, Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed faculty, distinguished guests, and my fellow graduates. Today we stand on the edge of a new beginning, ready to embark on the next chapter of our lives. As I reflect upon the transformative journey we have undertaken, one expression
resonates deeply within me. Cross the bridge when you come to it. Throughout our years of education, we have encountered countless bridges, both literal and metaphorical. These bridges have symbolized the transitions we have made, the challenges we have faced, and the growth we have experienced. They have been the channels that have connected us to new opportunities, pushing us to step outside our comfort zones
and discover our new potential, our true potential. Cross the bridge when you come to reminds us to embrace the present moment and fully immerse ourselves in the journey. It signifies the importance of living in the present, rather than being consumed by worry or anxiety about what lies ahead, and encourage us to be adaptable, to face challenges head on, and to trust in our abilities to overcome any obstacles that may arise. Just as a bridge spans a gap connecting
two points, we have traversed a divide between adolescents and adulthood. We have crossed a bridge and knowledge, getting valuable insights and skills that will guide us along our future adventures. But as we stand here today, ready to cross yet another bridge, let us not forget the profound lessons we have learned. As we step onto the bridge of our future. It is natural to feel
a mixture of excitement and apprehension. The path may seem uncertain and the challenges may test our resolve, but we must remember that each bridge we encounter offers an opportunity for growth, learning, and self discovery. It is through the crossing of these bridges that we truly come to understand ourselves in the world around us. Cross the bridge when you come to it. Encourage us to believe in our abilities and embrace the unknown. The journey ahead may not always be
smooth, and there may be moments when we question our path. But as we face these challenges, let us remember the resilience that lies within us. Let us draw the strength from the knowledge that we have already conquered countless bridges in the past, and we are more than capable of conquering the ones that
lie ahead. To my fellow graduates, I extend my heartfelt congratulations. We have reached this momentous milestone through hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of our families, friends, and educators, to whom we owe the utmost gratitude for helping us cross these bridges. As we prepare to cross this bridge into the next phase of our lives, let us carry the spear of resilience, curiosity, and determination within us. In conclusion, cross the bridge when
you come to. It serves as a reminder to embrace the journey, to remain present, and to have faith in ourselves. Let us treasure the memories we have made, the friendships we have forged, and the lessons we have learned with each step we take. Let us cross these bridges with courage, grace, and the said fast belief in our ability to shape our destinies. Congratulations Class of twenty twenty four, and may our futures be as bright as smiles on our faces today. Thank you, and now it is my honor
to introduce our Valedictorian, Emily Walling. Good Evening, everyone. I will try to keep this short, as I know many of us are eager to start the rest of our lives. We all gather here tonight to celebrate the hard work and determination of each of these students has and will put into their education. With that, I thank you all for coming. First, I would like to thank everyone that has gotten me to the point I am at.
This includes family, community members, and friends. Some that I would like to recognize Mickey, Susan and Bailey Walling, Ashley Robinson, the Mayfield family, Jace Goodwin, Alexis and Jason Howell Shelley and Joe Schulenberger, Johnny and John Kelly, Paige and Aaron Stone, Steve and Paula Elan, and many more. These people recognize have helped me tremendously over the years, whether it be a question, an opinion, a helping hand, or simply someone
to talk to. I would not be here today without the support and love of these people, and for that I would like to thank all of you. The past four years of high school have been full of ups and downs. Some of my best experiences throughout high school have been in FFA with Jace Goodwin. Without mister Goodwin, I would not have had the opportunities I do now. I've grown to love speaking in a public setting, livestock judging,
cattle, grating, and showing livestock other times. Being in four Ages past year being club president of the PHUT before AH, I've never felt more part of an organization than I have a four AH, and I'm so thankful I was able to make the transition to them. With four Age, I have had many opportunities open to me that I never knew were possible. Something that I've learned throughout the years is that people will always try to bring you down,
but you can't let them. You always need to do what is right for you in the path you want to take. Sometimes those decisions can be hard, and decisions you make will have consequences. I have made a few of these decisions, and I would not change any of them, as I think they have brought me down a better path, and some I wish I
had done sooner. Some of my challenging decisions I have made of my parents, I want to have a special thank you to my mom and dad for always pushing me to do my best, no matter if it was in a classroom, a field, in most recent serving. Something else I would like to add, because I was not aware I could give you my dad a flower at baccaret. But I hope your own part and the speech is good
enough. I want to thank you for your own for all the repair lessons you've given me over the years, for the truck, lawnmower in tractor. Now, when I think about it, I think it was just free help or the lack of fingerprints you now have or don't have from helping me halt to break calves. And to follow up my last point that for the last four birthdays and Christmas presents you've gotten gloves and Pence fliers. I also want to get a big thank you to you for helping me stumble my way through
my first ag mechanics project. With you by my side, I would not be here and have the opportunities I have today without the sacrifices you and Mom have made to me. I love you both so much. I want to finally thank Doctor Bryant for formally Miss be for always listening to me. I amble on about stuff some she might not agree with, but always has a listening ear for, and for helping me with whatever I may have come to her with this time. I want to have a thank you to Big Mom,
who always has an open door for all my problems. Finally, Miss Jaylin for always reaching out if I need something or asking me if I was okay because my aginuity wasn't done. For that, I want to thank you for always checking up on me. I would also like to give a big shout out to all the extremely determined and tough people in Barnstall. The unthinkable has happened over the past two weeks in the small town that so many people and many of us are graduating tonight call home. I want to think.
I want to thank the people that are always ready to help with whatever you need, or the amazing staff and administration such as doctor Bryant for all that they have put into the community. But none of this could be possible without having an amazing marriage such as Johnny Kelly, who truly has gone above and
beyond multiple times for the small little town Pere. Good to Paul, we are barn zol strong all right, And nothing mean rambling on because there's still probably a lot to get through, but I just want to say one final thing, do not let other people influence the path of your life. Make it your own, make it bright, and make it yours. Thank you. And now I would like to ask Elissa Clark to come back to the
stage. She's going to read the name of her seniors, and at this time, seniors please stand up. Emily Vaughan, Walling, Evan Essence Adams, Justin, Wayne Baker, Kylie Dawn Bayles, Abigail Grace Corrothers, Mason j. Parker, Christopher Cale, Cornett, oh Ladon Fisher, Sidney, Kaylene Gallagher, Trinity May Glasgow, Havon, Nicholas Handy, Timothy, Alan Henson, Ruby, Chloe and Hill, Jackson, Case Howell, Blake, Lee Jones, Samantha Renee, Kelly, Elizabeth, Grace Lake, Damian Millon,
Liddell Waylon, Ray McGill, Angelina, Eileen Monharras, Jonathan Glenn Peace, Shayley k Roach, Seith Cramer, Silen Burger, Emma Grace Smith, Cooper, Taysten, Sophie Hoo, He's got his phone, Us, Ronald Cole, Levi Weber, Bryden, Dwayne Williams, He's got his Eric, Damien Wilson, Annabelle, Eva Yates, Elissa Faith Clark, Thank you m Graduate community season. Everybody's celebrating. We are celebrating the one hundred third immensement
exercises of Barnslaw Public Schools. Many students have gone on to distinguish themselves in a variety event endeavors after graduating from Arnsdaw High School. We have a tradition of great alumni who continue to support the school in community. I want to encourage you to be proud of where you're from, be proud of your roots, and continue to make them better through your continued support of our community. I just have a few final words, not many, because I know you're
excited. Alyssa talked about resilience, and Emily did too, even though she maybe not didn't use the same warning. Resiliency is something that you may not always think about as a trait that you have, but I would like you to consider that resiliency is knowing that you can do hard things. You're going to be faced with things. I wish that I could tell you that the best, the best is yet to come, and it is. But I also want you to know that the easiest part of your life is over.
So adulting is not always as fun as what your parents may make. It seem like there's a whole lot that goes with adulting. And you had someone most of us telling you, don't forget to do your homework, bring your laundry in, let me watch that for you, dinner's ready, or what would you like to eat. They're taking care of you, and they've been taking care of you, and they're not just going to kick you out and
say go figure it out. But the easy part is over. So when you are faced with obstacles or challenges in your life, I want you to know a couple of things. One I want you to know that you're not alone. You have your family, you have your peers, and some of the problems or obstacles that you face, everyone else is facing those two. So don't feel like you're alone in anything. The second thing is that sometimes you have to do the hard things to grow and to become who you were
meant to be. If you stay in what's comfortable, if you stay in what you know, then you never will grow to become more. So, I I want to encourage you to step out do the hard things and know that you can. I want you to know that we at Barnstall High School Barnstall Public Schools are very very proud at reaching every one of you. Seniors.
Please stand by virtue of the authority invested upon me as Barnstall Superintendent of those schools, the Barnstaw Board of Education and the State Department of Education. I attest that these seniors have a satisfactory, satisfactorily completed, or will complete the educational requirements prescribed by the State of Oklahoma, and I can confirm their graduation. Please move your tassel from the right to the left to signify the
completion of these requirements. Seniors, we're going to ask you to come forward into this area right here. Is that right? Yes, So, Emily, if you'll lead everyone into the front right here. The seniors haven't been able to do everything that seniors usually get to do because of our untimely into the school year. We have wanted to and worked very hard to provide them with as many of those rituals or rites of passage that are included in graduating.
So they're going to gather here in the front for their hat toss, and then once we dismissed them, we would appreciate it if everyone would please remain seated until the graduates have exited the building and you can meet your graduate on the north side of the Community Center for pictures and hucks. What dude,
