Dr. Doty is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University.  He is Director and Founder of  the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, CCARE. His iconic status  as a cutting edge entity in the world of medicine and social evolution is rooted in what he experienced growing

up in poverty,dealing with social inequity. James describes how his life changed for the better when a mentor offered to teach him  “something that could change his life”.

Dr.Doty has worked with innovators and agents of change around the world, including the Dalai Lama.
