Episode description

California’s own Richard Pombo (R-11th District) has proved to be the country’s most environmentally hostile member of Congress. Chairman of the House Resources Committee, Pombo’s proposals to weaken the Endangered Species Act, sell off parts of our National Parks, and open the Artic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling have provoked outcries from the environmental community. Terre Verde will be in conversation with local environmentalists who have been monitoring and opposing Pombo’s anti-environmental agenda.
