Episode description

Our plastic pollution is everywhere. It’s in our oceans, in our soil, in our food, and in our bodies. Plastic production is also contributing to the climate crisis, and with production on track to increase, the industry’s climate footprint is set to expand as well. Steven Feit, senior attorney with the Center for International Environmental Law’s Climate and Energy Program joins Terra Verde host and Earth Island Journal Managing Editor Zoe Loftus-Farren to discuss how the plastics boom started, Big Plastics’ role in the climate crisis, and how we might start to tackle this complicated issue.
