Episode description

We’ve all seen the T-shirts, the articles and the splash on the Internet. “Does it Gets Better?” is the new buzz. Spurred after a dramatic upsurge in youth LGBTQI suicides, Dan Savage, a well-known gay advice columnist, launched this group to offer positive messages and hope to LGBTQI young adults. Does this campaign reach the double minority of disabled queer youth? How much harassment and bullying do they face? We present two perspectives this Friday. A young adult and an older adult bridge the gap and discuss their experiences. Leah Gardner and Adrienne Lauby host. The post Pushing Limits – June 17, 2011 appeared first on KPFA.
