Jim and his wife Meme have lived in South Kingstown, RI for the past 20 years. His daughter Sarah currently lives in Philadelphia, PA. He was raised in Bozrah, CT, a rural community in the eastern portion of the State. His father was a trash man, and his mother was the secretary of their church, a bookkeeper, and a member of the local school board. His sister Pamela is an elementary school principal in Massachusetts.
Currently, he is part of a corporation of Centreville Bank, sits on the investment committee of the $23 million South Kingstown School Trust, and is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the International City/County Management Association.
