[SPEAKER_02]: Hey everybody and welcome back to your favorite GI Joe podcast show. [SPEAKER_02]: Part three, Resilute. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm Resilute that we had a good time watching it. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not actually, but I am race to cadence. [SPEAKER_01]: I think Chan hated every second of it. [SPEAKER_03]: Will, I mean, we'll talk about it once I tell you all my name and I do have a lot to say or do I?
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like [SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be a lot of just me griping about the same things over and over. [SPEAKER_01]: I shocked. [SPEAKER_01]: This has never been that before. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, all the years I've known you, you've never once griped. [SPEAKER_03]: I was in a good mood. [SPEAKER_03]: I was, I was feeling my oats today. [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, you know what? [SPEAKER_03]: Things are okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: I had a giant apple earlier and had some ice cream sandwiches. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, like this is, this is going to work out. [SPEAKER_03]: And then I watch this and here we are. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm Robert Clark Chan. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Gina Epilito. [SPEAKER_03]: I was really trying to figure out, like, how long can I string this out? [SPEAKER_03]: And then I was like, you know what this bit? [SPEAKER_03]: Is it really very funny? [SPEAKER_03]: So I feel like I need to bail on it.
[SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: That means you've got to double and triple down. [SPEAKER_02]: You've got to tell it becomes funny, Chan. [SPEAKER_03]: I seriously considered it, but I was like, you know what? [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to disrespect my apple like that. [SPEAKER_02]: I realized that having a big apple was the key to happiness. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, he immediately followed up with ice cream sandwiches.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, not immediately, but close enough that, like you questioned my nutritional choices, sure. [SPEAKER_02]: No, look, I'll say right now, somebody at work today at the office brought a big box of twinkies in and left them on the kitchen counter. [SPEAKER_02]: So for the first time that I can remember in a long time, I ate a twinkie today. [SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: And I will say, maybe that's why the world feels upside down to me. [SPEAKER_03]: That's a trap.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a trap. [SPEAKER_03]: So brings in a big box of twinkies and leaves it there. [SPEAKER_03]: That's like it. [SPEAKER_03]: That's like a mouse who's just like shows up and like, Oh, cheese. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, what could be wrong with cheese?
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm [SPEAKER_02]: And I just said to myself, that's a big Twinkie.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I take my Twinkie into the office where one of my bosses is in there and I sit down and I say, I have a Twinkie and he looks right at me. [SPEAKER_02]: And he says, that's a big Twinkie. [SPEAKER_02]: And I really felt like a big, a big, big, beautiful moment happened right there. [SPEAKER_03]: You felt seen by your wife. [SPEAKER_01]: And someone walked to my office. [SPEAKER_03]: Like dudes in your office.
[SPEAKER_01]: If someone walked into my office and apropos, nothing said, I have a Twinkie. [SPEAKER_01]: I would assume that they were a little, a little, maybe a little challenged in some ways. [SPEAKER_02]: See my, my first question. [SPEAKER_02]: In the case of Ray, I would be correct. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, wait a minute. [SPEAKER_02]: We know what every day is a challenge as far as I'm concerned. [SPEAKER_02]: One that must be overcome. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: GI Joe resolute everybody. [SPEAKER_02]: Part three, the last part. [SPEAKER_02]: The last twenty or so minutes of GI Joe Resilute. [SPEAKER_03]: It's done. [SPEAKER_03]: Now we're, we can move on to other things in our lives. [SPEAKER_02]: Until we talk about it, Robert Clark. [SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna get it. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna, I'm gonna start, no, next is the live action movie, the first.
[SPEAKER_02]: But let me ask you, Jita, you've been on board with this basically since moment one. [SPEAKER_02]: Has anything changed in the finale? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm assuming you're retaining the same position based on nothing really that different happened here, but I would love to hear from you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't, I don't see anything wrong with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I do think like I wouldn't want this to be the, the, the end of GI Joe because I think it would end on kind of a bummer note. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm fine with it being smushed in in the middle of all these kids shows. [SPEAKER_01]: I think like it's like kids show, kids show, people getting shot in the face live action movie, kids show, kids show, kids show. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm cool with it. [SPEAKER_02]: He's got a mix of it in there somewhere.
[SPEAKER_02]: But you got to get a you got to get a palette cleanser when it's done. [SPEAKER_01]: When this is done or when. [SPEAKER_02]: Life is done. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, for all I know life ended like years ago, and I'm just having a Jacob's ladder scenario. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's either Jacob's ladder or we're in the matrix in those little pods being having our life drained by robots. [SPEAKER_02]: one of those.
[SPEAKER_02]: What I mean, what's the difference then living in capitalism in twenty twenty five. [SPEAKER_03]: That's I mean, you get better stakes in the matrix. [SPEAKER_03]: That's true. [SPEAKER_03]: That's very cool. [SPEAKER_03]: Somebody left their phone on like a goddamn professional. [SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't my phone. [SPEAKER_01]: That was I just closed all of my rings today because I worked out like a motherfucker. [SPEAKER_03]: You have a podcasting ring.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, no, it says I hit all three of my goals and close all three of my rings, which was exercise move and stand. [SPEAKER_03]: Which one of those is sitting down and talking in front of my room? [SPEAKER_03]: Is that's when it went off? [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, apparently my accent posture thinks it thinks I'm standing right now. [SPEAKER_01]: See, I was actually with you. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I was leaning forward.
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought you were talking about your doorbell and I'm like, since when do doorbells come with achievements? [SPEAKER_01]: No, my, my Apple watch has. [SPEAKER_02]: That's like the day. [SPEAKER_01]: It has fitness rings on it. [SPEAKER_01]: And since I worked out this morning, it means I hit my, hit my goals. [SPEAKER_01]: My stay alive goals. [SPEAKER_03]: I hit my goals. [SPEAKER_03]: My ice cream sandwich goals. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my goal is to eat a Twinkie today.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I will tell you right now, mission accomplished. [SPEAKER_04]: Was it a big tweaky? [SPEAKER_02]: It was a big tweaky. [SPEAKER_01]: I ate a lot of blackberries. [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of, a lot of, I got a big thing. [SPEAKER_01]: A blackberries from Costco. [SPEAKER_02]: Like a, like a, with the stylus pen. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's what I was. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I, I've assumed they're pretty big, but you can get them at Costco to be fair that was low hanging.
[SPEAKER_03]: Fruit. [SPEAKER_02]: Perfect. [SPEAKER_02]: So let's see here, this episode of G.I.J., I don't know if I'm going to assume that Chan will first up no hold on, because I just had a notion for a horror film that is a Jacob's latter scenario, but they're podcasting.
[SPEAKER_04]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: Where the weirder and weirder things happen on this podcast and you find out the entirety of the movie is one podcast and it's it's shown in smart view where you keep going back and forth, but it's very easy to shoot movie, but then weirder and weirder things happen and then it turns out that the hosts were dead the whole time. [SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, I would be okay with it if I was dead the same time. [SPEAKER_02]: I got Gina board.
[SPEAKER_02]: Gina, uh, tell you what, you write it and then we'll split it, fifty, fifty. [SPEAKER_01]: If you can get sold, it's a deal. [SPEAKER_02]: Damn it. [SPEAKER_02]: You put the hard part back on me again. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not fair. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: She just added enough of those requests. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, great idea. [SPEAKER_03]: Why don't you write it for me and we'll split it. [SPEAKER_03]: I think she has a response. [SPEAKER_03]: That's solid.
[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty good. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, to be fair, why don't you do the part that involves craft and talent? [SPEAKER_02]: And I'll just shout things. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, here's a thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Unless it's sold, I'm not doing shit anymore. [SPEAKER_03]: It really does help to have a loud white guy in the room to sell you. [SPEAKER_02]: I've said before, I will accompany both of you on any pitches that you have to do because let's face it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I bring the gravitas and the white is you just you walk in and I say we're here to pitch a show and then you say I have a tween key. [SPEAKER_02]: And literally, they're eating out of my hand from that moment forward. [SPEAKER_03]: Honestly. [SPEAKER_02]: I can work a room of white people, Gina. [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like a solid, sixty to seventy percent of them would, of those executives would absolutely respond. [SPEAKER_03]: That's a big Twinkie.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a big Twinkie. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll be honest. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the executive class says. [SPEAKER_02]: That's true. [SPEAKER_03]: How they do it in the C-suite. [SPEAKER_02]: That's it. [SPEAKER_02]: Dan, what, well, we'll get to it. [SPEAKER_02]: But do I assume that your opinions on this episode have not changed based on part three? [SPEAKER_03]: I look, here's the thing. [SPEAKER_03]: We're using a new system here.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're running the recording instead of me, which means like, I'm so much better. [SPEAKER_03]: I even bother to set up any audio drops or whatever. [SPEAKER_03]: You said that like, oh, you can, you know, us. [SPEAKER_03]: You could clip the audio yourself and send it to me and I'll just drop it in. [SPEAKER_03]: No one's taking me up on that offer yet. [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, surprising. [SPEAKER_03]: I want you to do all the work.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then, when it was my idea, let's put it fifty-fifty. [SPEAKER_03]: Fifty-fifty. [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to do it. [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, oh, you know what? [SPEAKER_03]: I'll just do that this time when I find something that, you know, like, oh, this sounds kind of interesting. [SPEAKER_03]: I'll just clip that. [SPEAKER_03]: couldn't find a single god damn thing that I wanted to clip.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I was like, oh, okay, well, I guess that makes my job easier because this is garbage. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what, when I'm saying right now, keep that clip in energy for next week. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you couldn't find anything to clip, that means that it wasn't bad enough to clip. [SPEAKER_03]: But there was more nothing. [SPEAKER_03]: No, because all of it was was gunfire.
[SPEAKER_03]: Ninety percent of the audio in this last twenty minutes is just people jumping around and I guess are supposed to be propelled by the velocity of the storytelling. [SPEAKER_03]: But wait, come on. [SPEAKER_03]: Cobra commander kills a guy in this. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, apparently kills a lot of people and they just sat there and took it. [SPEAKER_03]: We'll get to that. [SPEAKER_02]: I've only killed one person in the rest of them like move the body for him.
[SPEAKER_03]: Did you see the command center when Duke came in? [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, well, that's what he killed. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he killed all. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_03]: He opened the door all of those people. [SPEAKER_03]: All of the blood was all over the place. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I know. [SPEAKER_03]: Which means that the first time a cook commander like kills guy of the sword. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: They weren't expecting it. [SPEAKER_03]: The other twelve people in there.
[SPEAKER_03]: They weren't expecting it either. [SPEAKER_03]: You would think after three or four like huh, I wonder why people are screaming and falling over dead right next week. [SPEAKER_03]: There's blood squirting all over the place. [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I should stand up. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I think I'll just sit here. [SPEAKER_03]: What's the worst that could [SPEAKER_02]: And then they're done. [SPEAKER_02]: And then next thing you know, they're on a podcast.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it turns out, Cobra Commander killed them. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this was good. [SPEAKER_02]: Pretty solid. [SPEAKER_02]: Listen, so we cut, when will last be left? [SPEAKER_02]: Snake eyes was killing Storm Shadow, and now we're cutting to the big. [SPEAKER_02]: It's big, here's the big action scenes to end the middle part of the action, and then we watch basically with no pause straight into the big battle scene to end and be act three.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what's happening in the last twenty minutes. [SPEAKER_02]: We open with Scarlet and Duke, killing every cobra soldier in a Siberian base. [SPEAKER_02]: And they do so, you know, and Chan had this point last time. [SPEAKER_02]: The military tactics weren't really there. [SPEAKER_02]: They sort of slide into a room in the middle of a bunch of cobras. [SPEAKER_02]: Stand up and just keep shooting until all the cobras are down.
[SPEAKER_02]: None of these cobras can, well, I guess one of them does get a hit we find out later. [SPEAKER_02]: But for the most part, they're not, they're not even dodging or anything, you know. [SPEAKER_03]: So here we go. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I am now more interested in the cat than I am. [SPEAKER_03]: I was always more interested in the cat than this cartoon, but now there's a cat on the screen.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't understand how there's at least a dozen cobras soldiers with machine guns, pointed right at them, not very far away. [SPEAKER_02]: They're just standing there. [SPEAKER_02]: We even have a shot where they're literally, it's, because we're gonna pan up and find Zartan on the catwalks again. [SPEAKER_02]: And we just have a shot of just them shooting other people shooting and just nothing else is happening. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's, it's, it's, it's, it's right in a step.
[SPEAKER_03]: They try to create stakes for this cartoon by like, oh, look at your favorite characters are dead. [SPEAKER_03]: Raise your blood as dead. [SPEAKER_03]: Who, who? [SPEAKER_03]: Azuka. [SPEAKER_03]: Azuka, dead.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then after having done that, they just piss it all away by having Duke and Scarlet just like run wide out in the open, just throwing grenades and just standing there as people are, as dozens of people are shooting them with automatic weapons and walking on skate. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, a bullet glance off my rib. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't walk. [SPEAKER_01]: Whoa. [SPEAKER_01]: If you think you would be able to walk, if that happened, I'd sure as shit trying to run.
[SPEAKER_03]: Please, Gina, I could barely walk now. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's going to be all those twinkies you're stuffing in your mom. [SPEAKER_02]: But they're not helping. [SPEAKER_03]: Gina's using mom now. [SPEAKER_03]: Is that because I keep referring to my seven year old as a gaping mom and her chats. [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's fresh and everybody's mind. [SPEAKER_03]: Why would you say that you had a bullet glance off your rib?
[SPEAKER_03]: Instead of saying like, I fucking took a bullet in my chest. [SPEAKER_01]: Because he wanted to sound cooler. [SPEAKER_01]: He wanted to sound like a tough guy. [SPEAKER_03]: Then if he's so fucking tough, what is he get up and walk? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's ready to die. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not sure who's going to be there. [SPEAKER_01]: Who's scarlet love. [SPEAKER_01]: So he's ready to die.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, then she tells him specifically, and God awfully bluntly, Jesus Christ, is it? [SPEAKER_03]: Treatly and awful. [SPEAKER_03]: And he still doesn't. [SPEAKER_03]: He's like, oh, you're gonna stay with me and die with me too. [SPEAKER_03]: Boy, that's true love. [SPEAKER_03]: Instead of telling her to fucking go. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, he tried to tell her to go. [SPEAKER_01]: Believe her at that point. [SPEAKER_01]: I would be like, this lion bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's just saying that because I'm going to die. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what? [SPEAKER_01]: Let her die with me. [SPEAKER_01]: That was probably his, his thought process. [SPEAKER_01]: That was very, very sweet. [SPEAKER_01]: That's because you are challenged. [SPEAKER_01]: And that is what you find sweet. [SPEAKER_01]: You find very simplistic. [SPEAKER_01]: Even I thought this was bad.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it because, you know, Duke, I think Duke is basically, he understands at this point that Duke is in a final destination situation. [SPEAKER_02]: After what happened with Serpenteur and the Cobra and they brought him back to life when he was supposed to die, he cheated death and he needed to turn around and embrace death because it skipped him.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so I just believe he got to this scenario and he goes, obviously, I've cheated death too long and then he wakes up and dukes on a podcast. [SPEAKER_02]: That turns out to be like purgatory. [SPEAKER_02]: And I know what you're thinking, both of you right now. [SPEAKER_01]: This podcast, every podcast is purgatory. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was thinking. [SPEAKER_02]: That's correct. [SPEAKER_02]: And here we are.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that my theories wrong is what I'm trying to say. [SPEAKER_01]: I rewatch all the final destination movies this weekend. [SPEAKER_01]: And I now officially know how to defeat death. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, see, I watched one and a half now. [SPEAKER_02]: I've never seen him before. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going through to watch it because I hear the new one. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow, they're great. [SPEAKER_03]: You're Twinkie friend at work. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're not your great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Chan, during Pride Month. [SPEAKER_01]: They're going to feel so good. [SPEAKER_01]: Wait until you get to number five. [SPEAKER_03]: There's a difference between Twink and Twinkie Ray. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what did I eat? [SPEAKER_01]: Not to Ray. [SPEAKER_03]: That is going to be a real awakening for him, then we can find out what getting filled with cream is all about from the rot one. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, I really didn't realize how goofy the final destination movies were.
[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously that insanely goofy. [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't really know what they were. [SPEAKER_02]: We start in a number two. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I kind of got tired and sleepy, so it was time for bed, Jean. [SPEAKER_02]: I know you understand that. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I would rather die while watching something then stop in the middle. [SPEAKER_01]: Unless it's these, which I watched in one minute chunks. [SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say, please, I know you.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we do get the reveal here that as I figured, as I understood, Zartan was the assassin who killed Hardmaster and you spoiled it last time. [SPEAKER_02]: But that's the story, and he looked like Zartan. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know what a, as a GI Joe fan, I would know that already. [SPEAKER_02]: And everyone listening to this also, nobody got spoiled by this. [SPEAKER_02]: We all knew who it was.
[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, I'm trying to figure out if, or now it's like, thought it was this great Kaiser Social type reveal, which, I mean, if you've only got fifty two minutes of storytelling time, don't have enough time to set up the swerve. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh my God, it was him all the time. [SPEAKER_03]: We just assumed, [SPEAKER_03]: that everybody is doing all of the things. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he assumes that because it's so it's so glossed over.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, like it's like, I don't think it's supposed to be a huge reveal. [SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise there would have been a sound sting. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, covered up the sound of bullets. [SPEAKER_03]: We're still firing at him as they were standing there just stocks still. [SPEAKER_02]: That's what that kills me is our tank comes over start shooting rockets at Scarlet and Duke and Scarlet does not one but two upside down shooting jump moves.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was kind of rad, but he's our tank understood two of them. [SPEAKER_03]: Did you think that it was rad? [SPEAKER_03]: because this definitely falls into the category of trying too hard. [SPEAKER_03]: And it felt like Warren was relying on the awesome animation to carry you past the thinness of the story. [SPEAKER_02]: I just like the fact that she does the same move twice. [SPEAKER_02]: That one really got to. [SPEAKER_02]: And you know what?
[SPEAKER_02]: I, as I'm watching it, I'm like that is cringe as hell, but somehow I enjoyed it. [SPEAKER_02]: I did like the way that it went. [SPEAKER_03]: Can we talk about? [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, don't be ashamed. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't let Chan shame you for liking things, Ray. [SPEAKER_01]: You know who does that? [SPEAKER_01]: Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_01]: Donald Trump shames people for liking things. [SPEAKER_01]: Chan is the Donald Trump of this podcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: He wants to suck all the joy out of everything and everyone. [SPEAKER_03]: I would like to experience joy on occasion watching these cartoons and it is so very hard. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, when we get the Chan likes it episodes. [SPEAKER_02]: Those are weird. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not gonna lie. [SPEAKER_02]: They're just a little bit weird. [SPEAKER_02]: But as yeah, what was our tan's motivation here, Chan? [SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about that. [SPEAKER_03]: He likes killing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, you can say that's it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just before he dies, he tells everybody I don't do it for the money. [SPEAKER_03]: I just love murdering people. [SPEAKER_03]: and exactly the same way as Stormshadows like by the way, I'm the evilest person in the world. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, I'm dead. [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, all's right with the world now. [SPEAKER_03]: They did not dead. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not dead. [SPEAKER_01]: He's not dead.
[SPEAKER_03]: You said something about reading the Wikipedia. [SPEAKER_03]: It was like, oh, I was right about something. [SPEAKER_03]: And I thought it was that Storm Shadow is a zombie who comes back at the end of the episode. [SPEAKER_03]: And I wanted that. [SPEAKER_03]: Very disappointed to find out that he was not, because that would have been something.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, the Wikipedia specifically says, and I don't know if we got cut off or something, I thought it was gonna be like a post-credits scene, but it says like, in the very end, you see his grave and it's empty. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember that happening at all. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what? [SPEAKER_03]: I have shit on you people for doing this. [SPEAKER_03]: I did not make it all the way past the end credits.
[SPEAKER_03]: I stopped at the beginning because honestly, I just want it all the over. [SPEAKER_02]: I watch the entire end credits. [SPEAKER_02]: It ends with the tip mouse bird and then we're done. [SPEAKER_01]: I watched the whole way through because I was waiting for it, but I think maybe we got a bad, we got a bad link. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is the full film from Jeju officials cinema. [SPEAKER_03]: It's got a Wikipedia page would not lie.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I thought you can Google post credit scene. [SPEAKER_02]: I guess, but here we are. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking at his tank calm the GI Joe repository of knowledge. [SPEAKER_02]: The death of Storm Shadow and Zartan also had you wondering if they were going to kill off all of Cobra. [SPEAKER_02]: No mention of the fact that Zartan would still be alive. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what this is in reference to.
[SPEAKER_03]: At the Wikipedia says the post-credit scene show storm shadows graved to be empty. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't see it. [SPEAKER_02]: Wait a minute. [SPEAKER_02]: That was one minute ago by Gina. [SPEAKER_02]: Damn it. [SPEAKER_01]: You can look and that's what you told me. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Interestingly enough, I looked it up here and Google's, here we go. [SPEAKER_02]: Google's AI wants me to know no. [SPEAKER_02]: Zartand is not surviving GI Joe Resolute.
[SPEAKER_02]: He is killed by storm shadow at the end of the film. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, you wire me. [SPEAKER_01]: I look at Wikipedia page. [SPEAKER_02]: Lordy. [SPEAKER_02]: That's, uh, no, I don't think it is. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not hard. [SPEAKER_01]: You always are wrong. [SPEAKER_02]: Post credits. [SPEAKER_02]: Post credits seem so storm shadows grave to be empty. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Not storm shadow.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my God. [SPEAKER_01]: Have we been saying storm shadow this whole time? [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought we were talking about it. [SPEAKER_01]: You really need to be a better listener, dude. [SPEAKER_01]: Chance specifically said I thought there was going to be a zombie storm shadow. [SPEAKER_04]: That'd be helpful. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought that too. [SPEAKER_01]: What's it?
[SPEAKER_01]: I was saying he said, oh, because you said to me and then I said, yes, at the end of the film, they are like if they're supposed to show storm shadows grave empty. [SPEAKER_01]: What do you think we've been talking about this whole time? [SPEAKER_02]: That the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I would watch that. [SPEAKER_03]: This is a giant one. [SPEAKER_03]: Twenty years later, which opens soon now. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: By the time this comes out. [SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, yes, so we've killed Zartan for real guys. [SPEAKER_02]: He's not dead. [SPEAKER_02]: There's no grave. [SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was a little weird. [SPEAKER_02]: We cut back to the assault over the Baroness and Dester were having with all the scientists, you remember. [SPEAKER_02]: And the team of four Joe's actually, I think has a very legitimate plan here.
[SPEAKER_02]: to rescue all the scientists and take out Baroness and Destro. [SPEAKER_02]: And it works. [SPEAKER_02]: They have two of them as an upfront, shoot your face off barrage, force in the take cover, and then stalker goes through the vents and gets them all out. [SPEAKER_02]: And then they capture them. [SPEAKER_03]: I guess except their plan is, uh, because they're just standing there and Baroness got this cool glasses.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can see through the walls and like, hey, if you come any closer, we're going to start shooting these guys and like, well, let's start shooting them. [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, and then roadblock jumps out and shoots at them. [SPEAKER_03]: The thing that they were already expecting, why didn't they just start killing hostages? [SPEAKER_03]: Instead, he says instead of like a bullet, it's like give me some sort of rocket, whatever. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I'm curious.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm curious. [SPEAKER_03]: I've been with like a rocket, which is lower than a bullet and they should have murdered a mess of hostages. [SPEAKER_02]: They probably should have I just think you know they're use of tactics they use you know the the blinding like flash bang grenade. [SPEAKER_01]: I am Korea on geofanem.com storm shadow wiki for resolute.
[SPEAKER_01]: It says blah, blah, blah, snake eyes gave him a proper burial on a mountain outside the training ground and looked over his fallen friend before leaving. [SPEAKER_02]: Is the official GI Joe YouTube channel trying to change? [SPEAKER_02]: Are they trying to retcon here? [SPEAKER_02]: Because you would think they would know that exists. [SPEAKER_02]: They are the official YouTube channel of GI Joe and Hasbro. [SPEAKER_02]: Are they trying to deny this reality?
[SPEAKER_02]: Are they trying to hide this from us? [SPEAKER_02]: What? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, why would they post it without the epilogue? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to, I'm trying to think of a reason why they would do it. [SPEAKER_02]: It can't just be laziness. [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, [SPEAKER_02]: It could just be laziness. [SPEAKER_04]: It could just be laziness. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's a bummer. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, we've captured Destro. [SPEAKER_02]: We've captured the Baroness.
[SPEAKER_02]: Gina's off in the wind. [SPEAKER_02]: So who knows where? [SPEAKER_02]: And we cut back to Tunnel Rat, our favorite. [SPEAKER_02]: This Tunnel Rat is the Tunnel Rat I can enjoy. [SPEAKER_02]: I like the fact that he talks about getting shaked off this giant, derrigible potentially to his death. [SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: I still got to do the mission. [SPEAKER_02]: And like, he didn't suck. [SPEAKER_02]: Chan, he didn't suck.
[SPEAKER_03]: You are correct. [SPEAKER_03]: He didn't. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll be a tunnel rat that doesn't suck. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that is the very least this show could do. [SPEAKER_03]: And it reached your minimum standard for a period of about thirty. [SPEAKER_02]: What happened thirty seconds later that made you so bad?
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if we're going to chronological order, thirty seconds prior to that, we had here, let me read it to you because honestly, I don't even want to hear the fucking cartoon. [SPEAKER_03]: The hell with your orders? [SPEAKER_03]: It's taken me years to sort out in my head what I want, who I want, and today I did. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm staying with you for all the time I have left, and if that's only six minutes, then damn it, I'm spending my last six minutes with you.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the greatest romantic story I've ever heard in my entire life. [SPEAKER_03]: Is it? [SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, Shakespeare could not have written something so. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think it's because Ray has never seen anything other than GI Joe that he's saying that. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the first, the first one and a half movies of the final destination franchise.
[SPEAKER_03]: If that is the only media you've consumed in your lifetime, then yeah, that's probably pretty good. [SPEAKER_02]: If I only have six minutes to live, you guys, I want it to be with you. [SPEAKER_03]: If I had only six minutes to live, I would use it getting away from the thing that's going to kill me in six minutes because that is an option. [SPEAKER_03]: But you got to hear the ribs.
[SPEAKER_03]: Option that the person who just said that had [SPEAKER_03]: I would spend this great time. [SPEAKER_03]: Did you all? [SPEAKER_03]: We know that. [SPEAKER_03]: We know that because yes, that is all you do is poop and sleep. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, it's a good life except about last part. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, watch streaming. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, but I guess you also do streaming with a new rock stars channel. [SPEAKER_02]: People may know you from that.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, because I normally look like a regular human being instead of this, which you have forced me to do while I'm exhausted. [SPEAKER_02]: And after all, you got to show some clips eventually. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, listen, here's my new rule. [SPEAKER_01]: Until those clips are up, I'm not doing any more videos. [SPEAKER_02]: Here this, I got one more week to get this together. [SPEAKER_00]: He, I, Joel, will return after these messages.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is Kenner's screen a show. [SPEAKER_00]: The amazing take at any place projector. [SPEAKER_00]: Show them here. [SPEAKER_00]: Show them there. [SPEAKER_00]: Take it almost anywhere. [SPEAKER_00]: Seven Greek color shows like Sabrina and Archie. [SPEAKER_00]: Slip in a cassette and the show is on. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, here's the hair bear bunch. [SPEAKER_00]: There are over one hundred scenes right even in daylight.
[SPEAKER_00]: See exciting shows from both sides with Kenner's screen a show projector with five cassettes. [SPEAKER_00]: Now back to GI Joe! [SPEAKER_02]: Now, did you guys, did you all, did you notice the cover girl? [SPEAKER_02]: Did you notice cover girl makes a non-speaking appearance waving people through a hallway?
[SPEAKER_01]: I did, I did read on like one of the things, I'm one of the, one of the pedias that like they couldn't afford to have like a lot of them talk, but they wanted to like include as many jose in there as possible. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm still pissed that I never saw shipwreck. [SPEAKER_01]: Even give me a non-speaking shipwreck, I'll take him. [SPEAKER_02]: If you have shipwreck and he doesn't speak, you have committed a crime as far as that could serve.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he has to think, I honestly expected what I got to the credits that there would be more than the four people listed. [SPEAKER_03]: I figured there'd be like additional voices or whatever, but like they have four voice actors. [SPEAKER_03]: And they're already doing like a half dozen roles of peace. [SPEAKER_03]: Give him one more, just one guy to go. [SPEAKER_03]: as, you know, like a bird just gets disintegrated by a rattle or something like that.
[SPEAKER_02]: If they killed Polyg, you know, wouldn't have finished it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would have, I would have, you would have never heard from me again. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I would have believed that there were stakes to this thing. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, killing bazooka, major blood storm shadow allegedly, and Zartan wasn't stakes enough for you, not really.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, [SPEAKER_02]: So when Tunnel Rat does this heroic thing and he kills the thing on the derigable, I just want to say that word again, because it's a great word. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just a day in your calendar, isn't it? [SPEAKER_01]: You just learned it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not a derigable. [SPEAKER_03]: Use a balloon to get up there and then really call them like stradilites or something like that. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a low-hanging satellite, but it's a satellite.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you know what? [SPEAKER_02]: Me and my calendar have between us as none of your business. [SPEAKER_02]: I love, I do love the fact that GI Joe shuts it down and they're just like, okay, we got them. [SPEAKER_02]: And then cobras like we actually have a second plan. [SPEAKER_02]: When does Cobra ever bring a second plan? [SPEAKER_02]: They're like, it's not as strong as the first one, but it's is enough to shoot it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they've targeted the USS flag because Cobra Commanders done effing around because they discovered that they're being targeted. [SPEAKER_03]: And that I respect. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then they blow up the entire USS flag. [SPEAKER_02]: GIGO gets nearly everybody off of it, because like one plane goes down in the explosion, but still, like not bad. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we're talking about stakes here. [SPEAKER_02]: We are doing real things, Chan.
[SPEAKER_02]: We blew up a boat. [SPEAKER_02]: The boat. [SPEAKER_02]: The boat, the greatest vehicle in GIGO history, and Warren Ellis treated it like garbage. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes he did. [SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, we cut back and we all we also get flint flints all over this stuff now. [SPEAKER_02]: Which is absolutely delightful. [SPEAKER_02]: You give me more flint every single day. [SPEAKER_02]: Now Duke and Scarlett do a scape.
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't really understand physically how a lot of this worked because Duke and Scarlett are in the tunnel. [SPEAKER_02]: They're in the hanger and they're like we can't get back up the way we came. [SPEAKER_02]: We're in this underground base and then Duke [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_03]: Did you then? [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what it was. [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't realize you could do it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You've done it the last two weeks. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why it's a surprise now because I said I have different of this to couldn't possibly work. [SPEAKER_03]: Apparently it does. [SPEAKER_02]: See, when you're not trying everything works fine. [SPEAKER_03]: This seems to be the key to podcasting. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm no, but I didn't understand. [SPEAKER_02]: Can anything explain to me how this works?
[SPEAKER_02]: Because the helicopter pilots like, hey, I know there's a giant tunnel that goes down. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll get you with my helicopter in the underground base. [SPEAKER_02]: Just go down that tunnel and I'll just pick you up. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they just slide on their butts. [SPEAKER_03]: They didn't think to ask anybody. [SPEAKER_03]: They're just like, you know what? [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just going to die here. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sad. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just going to die here.
[SPEAKER_03]: My, my ribby's hurt. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to go anywhere. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I could just give you a rope. [SPEAKER_03]: And you don't even have to hang onto it. [SPEAKER_03]: We'll just clip it on. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Do, there should be a cobalt right now. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sad. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe he felt the coma was coming on. [SPEAKER_02]: That's what he just did.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, you know what? [SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather be dead than go shoot that again. [SPEAKER_02]: And who could blend? [SPEAKER_02]: To be fair, it was much more graphic to get hit in the heart by a serpentore snake than it was to offscreen take a bullet off of your ribs. [SPEAKER_02]: Not as big a deal, but we do, I look, Ward Alice, he's doing it, Springfield, and it's Springfield, USA, which I got great, this is a Simpson's joke and he's going for it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was a welcome to Springfield joke. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about from the GI Joe. [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Springfield. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: No, correct. [SPEAKER_02]: Springfield is a is a it's the city. [SPEAKER_02]: They often use it a lot of things in GI Joe media, but the fact that he went Springfield comma USA to me is it not to the Simpsons as well, which makes it a two for which makes it an even better bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not mad at that. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you give me the familiar. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm happy every day. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, you give me the fact that Cobra, now this is cool. [SPEAKER_02]: This is like old GI Joe. [SPEAKER_02]: Cobra has bought this entire town of Springfield. [SPEAKER_02]: They own the whole town.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is now has the facade of being a suburban city, but there's, you know, no cars or people, but it's all one giant underground base underneath the mall spot. [SPEAKER_02]: There's a store called Mosspot. [SPEAKER_02]: And I love that. [SPEAKER_02]: Nothing suspicious happening here. [SPEAKER_02]: Ladies and gentlemen. [SPEAKER_02]: But this is where the ultimate cobra base has happened. [SPEAKER_02]: This is where they are hiding their giant superweapon.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is where cobra commanders hang it out. [SPEAKER_02]: And there is an entire city. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just all underground. [SPEAKER_02]: This is pyramid of darkness, classic fun, and I am here for it. [SPEAKER_03]: The Joe's are pinned down in their plane with sort of skid lands they barely survive. [SPEAKER_03]: Dozens of cobras come out and start firing their automatic weapons. [SPEAKER_03]: They've got missiles. [SPEAKER_03]: They're gunning out of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can't go anywhere. [SPEAKER_03]: And then stick ice combs with his anybody sword and murders them all because hooray ninjas. [SPEAKER_03]: that it's got a wild army of one and then he like solutes them as if to say I'm done here welcome to is your prize scarlet is yours I will now retreat into the mistletime [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's got a good story after this. [SPEAKER_01]: He's got to go find zombie storm shadow. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I see any empty grave.
[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, now to Wikipedia to the Joe PDF page also says it. [SPEAKER_02]: So what could be copying the other. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, because I know. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I told me that Zartane was killed by storm shadow. [SPEAKER_01]: No, the wording is different. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to find it right now. [SPEAKER_01]: Talk amongst yourselves. [SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, here's the deal.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is also the scene right before that happens, Chan, where Cobra Commander kills the guy for suggesting simple logistics. [SPEAKER_03]: Sure. [SPEAKER_02]: That is a Cobra Commander thing. [SPEAKER_02]: He's there for big picture ideas. [SPEAKER_02]: He's not here to get into the weeds of how you get it done. [SPEAKER_02]: And he pulls out his Cobra sword and he slashes the guy's throat and says, get this trash out of here. [SPEAKER_02]: And I loved it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, like, yes. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, obviously, you know, we see why Warren else is doing it is because he's like all of these tropes are hacky. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to crank everything up to eleven and make a bloodier if not more logical. [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, so he kills the guy because he's a petty bitch.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking at this scene from a couple minutes later where [SPEAKER_03]: There's blood and bodies all over the command center, which makes no sense. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, if you dropped in something about him, like, say, I'll be right back. [SPEAKER_03]: He goes into his little pod, closes it, and then gas releases and all of the cover people die.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, cool, that's, you know, seven seconds well spent when it explains like how bad [SPEAKER_03]: a guy he is, but instead they cut to the scene, which is supposed to be even grimmer. [SPEAKER_03]: He's even more mean than we thought, because he killed them all with his, you know, with just a sword, but then they did make it a goddamn sense. [SPEAKER_01]: I found it. [SPEAKER_02]: My first thought, we'll watch it. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, go ahead and do you know, hit us with it?
[SPEAKER_01]: I found it. [SPEAKER_01]: Wait, can I give you a chance? [SPEAKER_01]: Can you play it? [SPEAKER_02]: I, we could try. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: What the, what are you doing? [SPEAKER_02]: Isn't it wouldn't it be mostly visual or is somebody standing or being storm shadows? [SPEAKER_02]: Great. [SPEAKER_02]: It's empty. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But what's the fucking point of being on a visual thing if we're not gonna use the visual thing?
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we can't play the video. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, definitely. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, then what's the question? [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'll cut it in when this thing makes it free. [SPEAKER_03]: This is going to be fun. [SPEAKER_03]: This is going to be fun because Ray is going to have to edit out the part where Gina sends me this thing. [SPEAKER_03]: I share screen and play it from here. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's do this. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's do this. [SPEAKER_01]: Gina sent me a link.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I put it in the chat. [SPEAKER_01]: I want you to watch it though. [SPEAKER_01]: Motherfuckers. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, let's stop and watch a blank video in the middle of recording. [SPEAKER_01]: You're the one who wanted to do this stupid shit. [SPEAKER_02]: Wait a minute. [SPEAKER_02]: My belly blockfest. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: No, Gina uses the terms chat interchangeably when she means different things. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my gosh.
[SPEAKER_03]: Why don't we do the third chat after referring to Facebook chat. [SPEAKER_03]: This entire time. [SPEAKER_02]: Now go watch it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't click anything in there. [SPEAKER_02]: You can. [SPEAKER_03]: All right. [SPEAKER_03]: Resolute, two thousand nine credits. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I can't describe it to me. [SPEAKER_02]: Because it is full detail. [SPEAKER_03]: I'll put in the Facebook chat if you want to. [SPEAKER_03]: It's too late.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, this is, is there any audio? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, Chan's getting that set up. [SPEAKER_02]: I just want to say right there. [SPEAKER_02]: I was a little bit confused by the bodies in that room because GI Joe, like missileed like the entire mall and like blew it out. [SPEAKER_02]: And then a bunch of cobras soldiers come up from underground for the big sort of final battle between cobras GI Joe.
[SPEAKER_02]: So when I first saw that room of bodies in blood, my thought was that GI Joe had missileed it and the destruction is what caused all the death. [SPEAKER_02]: But looking at it a second time with Chan's perspective in mind, there's no like holes in the [SPEAKER_02]: in the roof or there's, you know, there's no signs of an explosion having happened in there.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I think Chan is a hundred percent correct that Cobra Commander just got pissed when he saw snake eyes take out all those people and he said, I'll show him how it's done and then he himself took out his whole room of people and I think that's the only way you can read that and that's a wild. [SPEAKER_02]: What an interesting character choice. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's he's basically homelander at this point. [SPEAKER_02]: He's just kill it off his whole team.
[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't care. [SPEAKER_02]: Chen, I've kept as long as I can. [SPEAKER_02]: What do you have? [SPEAKER_02]: I need you do not have permission to put that on a stream, Chan. [SPEAKER_02]: So just tell me what happens. [SPEAKER_03]: We see it empty grave. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_02]: The empty grave is at, is it, is it the valley blockfest? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm still a little bit confused about this one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I hate you guys so much. [SPEAKER_01]: I found the exact name of the set was. [SPEAKER_03]: Solidities. [SPEAKER_01]: You guys need to learn how to not down women all the time. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not women in general so much as unwoman in particular. [SPEAKER_03]: So this weird that that's not. [SPEAKER_03]: That's not on the official thing. [SPEAKER_03]: Like why would it be? [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe tick mouse did it.
[SPEAKER_02]: But remember for for I want to say sigma six, they just cut all the clothes and credits out and just launch you into the next one often before the episode before it's really done. [SPEAKER_02]: So I guess they're just they're just making choices. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: So we're in the final, we're in the end game now. [SPEAKER_02]: Cobra Commander has locked himself in his command center in a bunker, basically, that is impregnable from the outside.
[SPEAKER_02]: He has food, he has air, he has a life support system, he cannot be defeated. [SPEAKER_02]: He's rigged the bomb to blow up random cities, his mega laser bomb thing, and he's going to kill a whole lot of people [SPEAKER_02]: and then watch Duke fail by himself in the computer room while it happens. [SPEAKER_02]: And Duke says, hold on. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, Comer Commander's plan here is very bad, because he's discounted the idea that the laser could be rerouted.
[SPEAKER_02]: It can't be turned off, but it can be rerouted. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a big miss by Cobra Command. [SPEAKER_03]: Of all of the things, of the, of the, of the very, very few things this cartoon does right. [SPEAKER_03]: I think the idea of Cobra Commander, locking himself in his panic room, which, yes, as a window, because sure that's what panic rooms are like. [SPEAKER_03]: And Duke will, like, [SPEAKER_03]: like gets the better of him by changing the location.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's pretty good. [SPEAKER_03]: I like that. [SPEAKER_03]: That has the sort of coming full circle sort of thing and the bad guy getting what is coming to him, getting a taste of his own medicine. [SPEAKER_03]: And then the whole thing ends with just like this, the laser coming down and blowing up. [SPEAKER_03]: the whole thing and Springfield. [SPEAKER_03]: That was emotionally satisfying.
[SPEAKER_03]: Everything, ninety-nine percent of this movie is garbage, just inaudible garbage. [SPEAKER_03]: But that one, I'm like, oh, you know what? [SPEAKER_03]: That's kind of cool. [SPEAKER_03]: Boy, I sure hope they don't ruin it. [SPEAKER_03]: Fifteen seconds later by saying, oh, actually a couple of commander got away. [SPEAKER_02]: He was in an impregnable panic room. [SPEAKER_03]: I stopped watching immediately after that scene where everything exploded.
[SPEAKER_03]: So nothing like that happened, right? [SPEAKER_02]: No, nothing like that happened at all. [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, there was not a voice over that said, Cobra commander's fine. [SPEAKER_02]: He'll be he's just been in a coma. [SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be a, okay. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking at the Wikipedia in pairs. [SPEAKER_03]: That's exactly what happened. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wait, my bad. [SPEAKER_02]: No, that voice over. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking of something completely.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, cool, cool, cool. [SPEAKER_02]: I do what I do like the Cobra Commanders is acting like he holds all the cards because he thinks he does. [SPEAKER_02]: He's in his panic room. [SPEAKER_02]: He's staring down Duke. [SPEAKER_02]: And then as soon as Duke shoots up the door and the controls to make sure Cobra Commander can't get back out to the computer room, which again, he did not plan for. [SPEAKER_02]: And Cobra Commander loses his poop.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I just, I like this character. [SPEAKER_02]: I like this, I like this version of Cobra Commander a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: I like this version of Duke too, honestly. [SPEAKER_03]: That's exactly how it should work. [SPEAKER_03]: Operate. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm most of the, well, so the episode that was not how it operated. [SPEAKER_03]: So not at all. [SPEAKER_02]: Like literally, like after the explosion, we just basically roll straight to credits.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Like we have nothing more to say here. [SPEAKER_03]: Except for the part that, oh, my Cobra Commander got away. [SPEAKER_02]: And so did Storm Shadow apparently. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, they cut that part out. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why they didn't just cut this fucking part out. [SPEAKER_02]: It solves a lot of problems to have the laser destroy itself. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll say that. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: GI Joe Resillute, ladies and gentlemen. [SPEAKER_02]: Chan, we've heard you're a pin. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I haven't really, what's your overall take on GI Joe Resillute? [SPEAKER_02]: Where did you land on this when now that it's all said and done? [SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was fun. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought the third act was probably the weakest of the few. [SPEAKER_01]: I like that it's a little bit different.
[SPEAKER_01]: I like that we saw OG, GI Joe characters and sort of all these suckers that we even stuck with. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I give it one thumb up. [SPEAKER_03]: Out of ten. [SPEAKER_03]: I would give this one thumb up, man. [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_02]: One thumb up, where? [SPEAKER_02]: One thumb up, my correct. [SPEAKER_02]: There you go. [SPEAKER_02]: That is high praise. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, Pauli. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what would be great?
[SPEAKER_02]: Chen, how would you rate GI Joe resolute? [SPEAKER_03]: Did I not just tell you? [SPEAKER_02]: You did, but what's your official? [SPEAKER_02]: You were to give it a star rating of the ten. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know compared to the other iterations of GI Joe because that's what I'm going off of. [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's obviously better than a lot of the stuff that we've watched. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, Sunbo. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, we've watched five iterations.
[SPEAKER_02]: Rank them one to five. [SPEAKER_02]: Chan, you're glad we're there. [SPEAKER_02]: You have to tell us what they were. [SPEAKER_02]: You have GI Joe real American hero of the original series. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: We have D. Kera, GI Joe. [SPEAKER_02]: We have GI Joe extreme. [SPEAKER_02]: We have, we're not going to count the movies, the, what our movies in between, but we also have GI Joe sigma six. [SPEAKER_02]: And we have now GI Joe resolute.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that five? [SPEAKER_02]: Did you say five? [SPEAKER_02]: That's five. [SPEAKER_02]: Original GI Joe. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, which one was extreme? [SPEAKER_02]: GI Joe extreme was what they had all different new characters, but that's the one they had like comic book people writing for it again, so it was still sunbough. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: It's sigma six in this.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's hard because we can go ahead and put real American hair at the top like [SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't give it a ten out of ten, but I think that there's enough high high points that, you know, like a, you know, like it would legit be like an eight out of ten, far and away the best iteration of this. [SPEAKER_03]: Dique was just across the board terrible extreme. [SPEAKER_03]: That's the one that Christie marks it a couple of episodes in, right? [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not.
[SPEAKER_03]: That is going to be great. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: That was better. [SPEAKER_01]: It was better. [SPEAKER_03]: It did a couple episodes of Dique. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, then yeah, that's why we got a lot to mention. [SPEAKER_03]: They were like two good episodes in the dick era and those are the two Chris Marks extreme.
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like while I hated a lot of it and I I recalled definitely hating the art the whole aesthetic of it of the extremeness of it. [SPEAKER_03]: Some of the storytelling was actually kind of solid. [SPEAKER_03]: So [SPEAKER_03]: I would put, I would make it real nerve and hero, extreme, deep. [SPEAKER_03]: And then what else do we have? [SPEAKER_03]: What was next? [SPEAKER_02]: Big mistake. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if Resilute and Sigma six. [SPEAKER_03]: Sigma six.
[SPEAKER_03]: Ooh. [SPEAKER_03]: Like do I put it? [SPEAKER_01]: See, that's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_01]: I think the movie is solidly in the middle. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's better than extreme and Sigma six. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's the best thing we've gotten, or I think it's better than Sigma six and deep. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's one of the better things we've gotten in a little while.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh boy, this is hard because I would I would put a sigma six by default third because it is not as truly awful. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you're forgetting six. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm sorry, sigma six. [SPEAKER_03]: Sigma six is number three. [SPEAKER_03]: No, you said it right. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, do. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you're I think you're forgetting sigma six. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I just said number three. [SPEAKER_02]: He just said six.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no [SPEAKER_01]: I don't really remember extreme.
[SPEAKER_01]: So all I know is that I think that this was better than Sigma six and D. And by default, you say better than extreme. [SPEAKER_01]: Like extreme was probably a nothing burger. [SPEAKER_01]: If I can't remember it. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's probably somewhere like in the middle. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel comfortable. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel comfortable putting this in the middle. [SPEAKER_04]: and she feels good.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: See, so that's, so I think my official ranking, and I think this is the official ranking. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll go ahead and just say it. [SPEAKER_02]: I think you start with the Decaira bottom. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the absolute bottom. [SPEAKER_02]: When the Colberg got beat up by a bunch of kindergartners, that's it. [SPEAKER_02]: You can't come back from the beginning. [SPEAKER_01]: You have a couple good Christie marks.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can back in much deep now. [SPEAKER_01]: It might have grown on me. [SPEAKER_01]: Who knows? [SPEAKER_02]: I doubt it. [SPEAKER_02]: We suffer. [SPEAKER_03]: Now it's a great idea. [SPEAKER_02]: I think number four is sigma six. [SPEAKER_02]: I think sigma six just didn't didn't get there. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think it was a little too silly. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, this is what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_01]: So far Ray and I agree.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, then I put Resilute third. [SPEAKER_01]: This is what it says. [SPEAKER_02]: Better than those two. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I thought you put it above extreme, because I put extreme number two because that one actually had a through line. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you just you just repeated my exact order, but then I gave the caveat that I don't really remember Resilute. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's probably a nothing burger, but that means it's not bad enough to remember either.
[SPEAKER_02]: So so we just did the last three weeks. [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no. [SPEAKER_02]: No extreme. [SPEAKER_01]: No extreme. [SPEAKER_03]: It's awesome. [SPEAKER_03]: What should you get more than three things? [SPEAKER_03]: It's just we're off. [SPEAKER_03]: It's over. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, man. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what YouTube did today, but I woke my ass off up. [SPEAKER_01]: I worked out. [SPEAKER_01]: I had a fucking meeting.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been working on a Superman tube break down all day. [SPEAKER_02]: You guys did a woke her ass off today. [SPEAKER_03]: All right, to be clear. [SPEAKER_03]: To be clear, I am putting in the Riverside Chat. [SPEAKER_03]: My order that way, there's no confusion. [SPEAKER_03]: There we go. [SPEAKER_03]: I can hear a extreme sigma six and then tie D. Resolute for absolute bottom of the barrel last. [SPEAKER_03]: That is wild. [SPEAKER_03]: Resolute so much.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want me to have four. [SPEAKER_02]: Now that I understand your top five better, we agree. [SPEAKER_02]: This is truly a ray in Gina versus Chan episode. [SPEAKER_02]: Even though I still think the first ten minutes of GI Joe Resilute is so miserable to the point of being unwatchable, it pulls it back with some decent fights and a heartwarming scene between Scarlet and Duke in Act Three. [SPEAKER_03]: Does that what that was? [SPEAKER_02]: Heartwarming?
[SPEAKER_02]: I nearly started tearing up. [SPEAKER_03]: I would not doubt that. [SPEAKER_02]: There we go. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the correct order. [SPEAKER_02]: There we go. [SPEAKER_02]: And Gina is just she couldn't put it all in one so I could easily show it on stage. [SPEAKER_01]: Trying to do, I tried to do shift or turn and didn't work. [SPEAKER_02]: There we go. [SPEAKER_02]: And me and Gina have the exact same list. [SPEAKER_02]: That's how you know it's right.
[SPEAKER_02]: If it was just me, you would disagree. [SPEAKER_02]: But as soon as Gina goes out of her way to agree with me, that's how you know why opinion is solid. [SPEAKER_02]: Are we done? [SPEAKER_03]: I, I'm done. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about y'all. [SPEAKER_02]: That is GI Joe Resilute. [SPEAKER_02]: We will be, well, you could always find us at a patreon.com slash knowing it's at the podcast. [SPEAKER_02]: You could join our Discord if you're on there.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can go to our Facebook group. [SPEAKER_02]: You could find us on Threads, but really just tagged me in Gina and eventually are me in Chan and then I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: Tag somebody who's on Threads. [SPEAKER_02]: I am. [SPEAKER_02]: I forget who's, it's been a really long dance. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm not. [SPEAKER_03]: You created one as a placeholder. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I created one, and then I was on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then I was like, fuck everything, Mark Zuckerberg has ever done for all time. [SPEAKER_03]: So I got rid of Threads, got rid of Instagram, got rid of Facebook. [SPEAKER_01]: How's your, how's your, how's your shopping on Amazon going, Chan? [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, canceled prime. [SPEAKER_03]: And I have not ordered anything on Amazon for two months now. [SPEAKER_03]: Three months? [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, all right. [SPEAKER_02]: See, I have an order thing for Amazon in like hours.
[SPEAKER_02]: So like, I'm doing my part. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, you can find us on all those things and socials. [SPEAKER_02]: Check out the knowing it's half the podcast YouTube channel. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe even our Instagram and some of these clips from GI Joe Resulu will start showing up because they have to. [SPEAKER_03]: Or Ray, we'll get to look at Gina anymore. [SPEAKER_01]: Not I'm not doing this anymore. [SPEAKER_01]: It's fucking a whole computer. [SPEAKER_02]: Missed out on Gina.
[SPEAKER_02]: She'd a late at night when she doesn't want to be seen. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, perfect for video. [SPEAKER_01]: Yawning every three seconds. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: No one wants this. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, at least Chad shaped you from staring at your phone the whole time. [SPEAKER_02]: That's why we need to know. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you know what, you know what it was because I didn't take any notes this time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Last time I was looking at my notes this time, I didn't take any notes because it was all just gunshots. [SPEAKER_01]: So I didn't have anything to write down. [SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I wasn't looking down. [SPEAKER_01]: Last time I was looking down because my notebook is right here in front of my gardeners, art through the ages book that my laptop sits on top of. [SPEAKER_01]: This time, I got nothing in front of me.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, for the first time at a very long time, I also took no notes. [SPEAKER_02]: There was not much to say over the two goddamn notes. [SPEAKER_02]: I guess. [SPEAKER_02]: You must have been really into it, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Fuck you. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's because you don't need notes to know that that scarlet speech came from the heart. [SPEAKER_02]: Came from the heart, Chan. [SPEAKER_02]: It made me feel something. [SPEAKER_01]: Came from the fart.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's, that's probably a good place to stop. [SPEAKER_03]: You think? [UNKNOWN]: Oh, no.
