READ 2:6 :: “ Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,”
Maybe you’ve thought over these last couple weeks, "…so much dedicated to Christ and knowing Christ in these passages. Why is it so important that Christ is the centerpiece? Why do I have to focus so much on knowing Christ?" If that’s your question - Paul’s going to give you an answer in Colossians 2:4-5. In this episode, we look at how focusing on Christ allows us to stay firm in our faith.

Paul prays we walk in a way that pleases the Lord, by…] “ being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy;” - Colossians 1:11 We need strength from God for our life, but not just for the monumental moments. Paul says we need strength to be patient, to endure, and to have joy. Join us as we pray we might receive strength so that we might endure.
“so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God ;” - Colossians 1:10c If we want to know God, we need to know truth about God. While theological knowledge is not the end of our pursuit of God, we cannot be in relationship with God without knowing truths about Him. “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work, ” —Colossians 1:9-10b What is the fruit of your life?
