Episode description
It seems everyday we’re waking up to more frightening headlines, more closures and new rules for social distancing as the coronavirus, COVID-19, sweeps the globe. Things as simple as getting baby food and diapers for Skylar have become daunting tasks met with empty store shelves and panicked shoppers. Parents’ roles have drastically changed and now they’re working from home while caring for their kids and trying to continue their children’s education. What can parents do to ease their kid’s anxiety? How do kids keep social distance but still be able to socialize with their friends?
Today we’re getting some real answers from Parenting Expert, Journalist and former teacher, Donna Tetreault. She’s Dr. Phil’s go-to parenting expert who has some tangible information about how to talk to your kids about the Coronavirus, how to get creative about teaching and how to ease their anxieties. In spite of all the gloom and doom out there right now, Donna says there are positive, wonderful lessons to be learned about community, compassion, communication and teaching kids to be resilient! We hope you feel more positive and inspired after listening to our conversation with Donna!
