From his days as a McDonald’s All-American in high school, to making two NCAA Finals at Michigan, to playing 13 seasons in the NBA and winning the league's Most Improved Player award, to becoming one of the most popular media personalities in the country, Jalen Rose has always been synonymous with the game of basketball. He is also a passionate philanthropist who cofounded the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy in 2011, a public charter school in North Detroit, where he wants to provide students equal opportunities in order to thrive in school and in life.
