We are inherently law-ish. Our default is to revert back to ‘what can I do to please God’, rather than gratefully receiving the fruit of what he has done for us. God has shown us great mercy; in fact his very nature is that He is rich in mercy. His desire is that we truly enjoy the benefits of His mercy and experience His great love towards us. Andy Floyd is our Lee site leader.

When Jesus clothed himself in our humanity, he took on with it, every aspect of what it means to be human, and emotions are an essential part of being human. This week, we look at how Christ lives out His emotions without allowing them to be affected by sin in the way that it has been for us. Neal Glanville is on of the pastors at our Lee site.

"This week, we look at look the heart of God in the Old Testament and see that the heart of God revealed there is exactly the same as the heart of God revealed in Christ. We are reading from Lamentations where we’re going to see His heart from the saddest chapter in the whole Bible, which comes in the centre of the saddest book in the whole Bible, in response to the saddest event in the whole Bible: exile. And although God does express anger, and he does judge his people, and he does bring painf...

This week’s sermon is based on John 6:35-40 with a particular focus on verse 37 where Jesus says, “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” This message explores three potential barriers that people may have to coming to faith or continuing in their faith in Jesus. This week’s preach is based on Matthew 11:28-30 where Jesus describes himself, ‘I am gentle and lowly in heart.’ This is the title phrase of the book we are using as background reading: Gentle and Lowly. These qualities are not just emotional they come from the center of Jesus being and describe what motivates him in all he says and does. He is full of grace and love towards his people, but that doesn’t make him weak or compromised, he is full of truth and speaks up for justice too. He calls us ...

We are starting a new series called 'Gentle and Lowly' based out of a book with the same title by the American writer Dane Ortlund. Christians generally know what Jesus Christ has done. But who is He? What is He like, deep down? What is His deepest heart for His people, weary and faltering, as we journey towards heaven? Joe Macnamara our Downham site leader.

The Antioch Church was a thriving Church in many ways, but one area we must not overlook is the foundational role that prayer (with fasting) and worship played in the life of this community. Moses is one of the pastors at the Downham site.

The Antioch church was the first church in history to wrestle with the joys and challenges of ethnic diversity. Their experience, and the way the apostles responded to it, is hugely helpful for us as we pursue a diversity of grace, not of works. Andrew is our Teaching Pastor here at King's.

Jesus’ betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane presents a moment for us to stop and reflect on all the ways we, in our own lives, betray Jesus and go our own way like Judas. But in John’s gospel we encounter the Lordship of Jesus in the garden, and His willingness to pay for our betrayal and sin so we can come back to the Father. The garden for Jesus was a place of wrestling, torment and prayer – but He emerges in power, ready to purchase our salvation. Jason is one of our Pastors based at our Catf...

The Antioch church was a generous church committed to supporting Christians back in Judea facing famine. They responded to the prophetic word which described the need, they planned their giving, they gave in proportion to what they had, and they became a channel of Gods provision. As individuals and as a church how can we grow in generosity and faith? How can we trust in God to help us to fulfill our mission and be a resource to our community and other churches across the world. Hilary helps lea...

The disciples in Antioch serve as a model for us at King’s. For many years we have lived with prophetic promises and encouragements about being an Antioch-style church: a church which can resource other congregations around the world, and in which Word and Spirit, grace and discipleship, unity and diversity are put on display. Steve, our senior pastor, introduces the new series to us and highlights 10 key values found in Acts 11:19-30 that will be taught on through the coming weeks.
