Episode description

Beginning her guiding experience in 1991, Bridget Crocker faced what she now recognizes as a “constant barrage” of sexual harassment. Each instance wasn’t life-altering, she says, but part of a culture she knew wasn’t acceptable. Before that, she suffered abuse from her family.

Her new memoir, “The River’s Daughter,” reveals how running some of the world’s most dangerous rapids prepared Crocker for the hardest conversations of her life.

Crocker sits down with former river guiding colleague, Frederick Reimers, to share what still needs to be done and what gives her hope.
