Mike Galaxy of Band Promote, was born in LA, raised in Portland, Oregon and returned to Los Angeles in 1990. Mike Galaxy was the drummer for 90s LA rock band Vinyl. He starred in two national commercials. The first was for Mazda's MX-6 in 1993, then in 1999 starring as himself in a series of Union Bay Clothing spots. He was also the first ever Internet VJ/DJ hosting a music program on the short lived Spike.com.  

Band Promote is a boutique Promotions & Marketing company focused on music promotion, print & online media support, placement and licensing for film, TV & ads on behalf of independent labels, independent artists and production companies. The goal for clients is maximum industry exposure. Established in 1997 Band Promote has also gained the respect and reputation within the music industry as a key source for discovering new music. Since it's humble beginnings Band Promote has helped negotiate and secure record deals and licensing deals for over 300 bands, while establishing a solid awareness for all clients.
