So when you're born, the stars are in a certain formation. And I like to call it, you're a constellation. That's what you are. There's a constellation, there's a timing to your life that all correlates with what is happening today. Today we are talking with Susan Green, an intuitive astrologer. Welcome to the podcast, Susan. Hi. Thank you for having me. Thanks for coming. This is a very exciting episode. I am obsessed with horoscopes and tarot
cards and astrology. Never really had my birth chart read, so this is going to be really... Oh, really? Yes. This is an exciting, exciting day. That's very exciting. Yeah, so Susan's here. She's going to kind of go over the basics of astrology. And then we gave her all of our information prior. We don't know the results, so she's going to kind of dive into us and we're going to see how it goes. So let's do a little magic, ladies. So Susan, give us a lowdown on the basics. What
is astrology? What do you do? How do you read the birth charts? All of that. Okay, so I like to explain it as the planets are like mirrors. So if you're standing in front of eight mirrors, the first one's the sun because it's so bright. It's that ego. It's like right in front of you. And then we have the next one, which is the moon. It's emotional. It's always changing every day. And then you keep going out. So then we have Mercury, we have Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,
Uranus, Pluto. And so It's like standing in front of eight mirrors and then the farthest mirror out intersects with everything. That's why, like, the changes that happen in the outer planets can feel subtle yet drastic because they're little things that enter every area of your life. And not that everything else doesn't, but being the sun sign, it's so in your face and it's so upfront and close. That's why we identify a lot with the sun sign and it is a part of our identity.
It's like what's on the surface and then it's what's really in deep. So my question is, I was born in December. I'm a Sagittarius. So what does that mean? And why is there different signs in my chart? So when you're born, the stars are in a certain formation. And I like to call it, you're a constellation. That's what you are. There's a constellation, there's a timing to your life that all correlates with what is happening
today. So today, each of us in a unique way, are interacting with the stars in the subtle energies and then depending on if it's today's chart is interacting with you, literally like next to you, close to you, it will be a little bit more intense. It will be more drastic. So basically when you're born, the stars are all in a certain way. They're all formed in a certain constellation. That's what makes you you. That's
a snapshot of who you are. And then, When so being a Sagittarius you're born under the ninth sign and it's the centaur so it's symbolized by the centaur which is Half human half like mystical beasts basically and the archer So you're the one that like can see far and wide and you're meant to see far and wide You're not meant to get lost in the details unless you're supporting You know, you're supporting planets are more detail or oriented So you may bring in a lot
more detail -oriented people in your life to help you balance out something like that. But your moon is pretty detailed in your ascendance. So you have those aspects in you because your rising is a Virgo. But starting with the sun sign, your Sagittarius sees the broader picture, sees expansion, likes to have a good time. as well. They're a fire sign. They're mutable. That fire is the spirit. There is such a liveliness to the spirit of Sagittarius. They're also the
strongest sign physically. Out of all the signs, they can carry and handle a lot physically. So if you're a Sagittarius or have a lot of Sagittarius in your chart, then that physical aspect, it just rings true, male or female. There's just something about what you can carry. in many ways, it's not just the physical, it's what your physical body also carries, if that makes sense. And just the spirit of you guys, you're meant to be free.
In this lifetime, there is such a dichotomy, though, with Sagittariuses, with what that means for them, because there's certain ones that like the rules, but you're meant to roam like a wild horse. You're just meant to be free. Horse was also man's first friend. So there's just a lot of different things you can take a look at with with Sagittarius there's something that Sagittarius is either learn young or learn throughout their life how Fluid that can become for them. Um,
and I think that's a cool thing about them. I love that. Yeah, yeah, there's a lot to it, but no, I know I know but I you feel like a free spirit and Yeah, that that kind of rings true a lot of ways So what is the difference between the signs the moon sign the rising sign? All of that like you could be a Sagittarius, but you're also have all these different signs that
are correlating, right? So the Sun sign that you come out to like so You coming into the world as a son, Sagittarius, that's your trajectory. So you don't come in with all the aspects of a Sag. You're learning to become a Sag in your life. And then also the degree placement. So to be a little bit more specific, but not too crazy, is that your degree is 24. So it's a later degree as well. So you will have this very full experience of learning the maturity of a Sagittarius.
if that makes sense, and perhaps maturing younger in certain ways in your life. And we can correlate to that to your house. But that is the sun is who we're constantly becoming. And you have a night chart. So then that gets me to the moon. So the moon, your moon is Aquarius, which is also not an as a late degree, but in a later degree in 19. All of your first three signs are in later degrees. And that's an air sign. but it's in the moon. The moon is your emotional
drive. It is what influences you. You actually may feel more like your moon sign as a night chart. The more that you become yourself, perhaps, you may feel more Aquarian as you show up in the world. And then your rising sign is a part of your identity. It's your self -appearance, the clothes that you wear. It's also your vitality and your energy and how you learn about your energy, what you give off, as well as what you.
can learn to bring, and you can learn the shadow of that and the light of that over time in your life. So those are like - Oh, I love that. Yeah, does that all - is that - Yeah. Okay, cool. Yeah, that makes total sense now. I love it because it just, I don't know, capitalizes on how we are so different. Everyone is just so unique
in the most beautiful way. I love it. Yeah, because I know, I told you this Susan, when I've looked at, I don't know if anyone else has read the birthday book, it's like each day of the year and you read the page about yourself on your actual birthday and when I've looked at that, I'm like, I don't really correlate with... much of this day. I feel like this isn't necessarily me. This isn't, you know, who I am. Maybe, I mean, the last time I looked at it was probably
15 years ago. So maybe things have changed. But it's funny because even though I'm a Capricorn, I might, if one of my signs was Leo or something, then I might correlate with that a little more. Could be. I have a few thoughts, actually. So I'm glad that you mentioned it was 15 years ago, because actually, I would take a look at it again throughout your life. It doesn't have to be right. It could be wrong again. It's just interesting
data. Because if that's something you remember, I've been like this so many times, and I'll go back and I'm like, oh. It makes sense now. Like, I was perhaps fighting that before learning something about myself or young, right? It's true. When we grow, we learn. Like, you may be... Even if you grow up young, like someone like myself, I had to grow up very young, but there are a lot of ways I got stunted. So you had to learn and relearn. So regardless if you grow up young,
if it's not integrated, right? And you're not your, like your true essence self as you become yourself, then you can go back and look. However, I don't subscribe to generic things unless they hit you emotionally. I have a hard time with apps and not that they're, they're great. They're a great place to start. However, I wouldn't say they're a great place to start if you already have a complicated chart, and how would you know
if you had one? It doesn't always give what you could get in a conversation because this is the beauty. When you meet someone, when you talk to someone, you get their energy. And that, you want to decide if that's the energy of the person
that is meant to speak directly to you. And I think that... AI I mean I did chat your BT and it kind of messed mine up which is good to know it's good data like don't just go there because I said oh that's not the right thing and they had to redo it so it made me aware of okay It's not set up for astrology right now, but if you're wanting to really dig and learn about yourself and see your unique vibe, I think it's really cool to have a conversation with someone that
your energy chooses. So if, you know, looking back at something, which I've never had my chart read either, but just looking back at that and thinking, geez, I'm not quite that. person, I don't think. Again, I might have changed and I will definitely peek at that again. But should someone get their chart read often? Or is it like once your chart is read and you get the legit reading? Is that it? Or should they get
it redone? Honestly, I give a lot of information in my readings and I know that I do, but if the person wants more of a conversation, it's whatever is needed from that person. I'm also a spiritual coach and I can bring your chart into coaching sessions. It won't look the same as a natal chart reading, which is fine, but if you wanted to do that route, it's just really good for me because I get to tap into an energy. and help you explore different parts of you, see different parts of
you. So if you want a chart reading to really know about yourself, you can get your first one done, see how it lands. Maybe you have to go back to it a few times. But if you're someone who's super curious, wants to learn more, you can get them as often as you want. It's really up to your own personal integration learning style. It's not just like you get your chart read and that's it. That's what's going to happen.
Things can change. Yes, I like to start with presence, but if your past or your future is calling to the moment, I will definitely go in. There are certain people where I'll naturally go to all three. And I'll ask. If you want to know more about the future, I'll tell you, unless you're someone who is a little more aware, has specific questions, then you can dig in there
too. Because when you first come in for a reading, you might get a whole bunch of information if you're not here for something specific, right? And then you realize, oh, I would like something specific. So then you come back for that next thing, and we can dive into that a little bit more. And it's really cool because it really shows how we are all here uniquely meant to be yourself. And your chart kind of shows you that. I love that. All right. So give us the dates.
Give us all the details about our... So, like, what do you guys want to start with? Do you want me to start with your relationship, or what are we thinking? Like us together, me and Emily? Yeah, let's do that. Yeah, let's do that. So I briefly looked at it, and... I'm not your regular astrologer. There are some people who have really studied the specifics and the mechanics. I am
very intuitive. So I looked at it a few times, but I kind of like to wait until the day to see what really calls out, unless I'm being really pulled to your chart day to day. So for Emily, we'll start with you. So you in Carly's life, you show up, you're Capricorn's son, and you show up in most of Carly's fourth house of... parents, caregivers, foundation, emotional security, and ancestry. So it could be that you guys have past lives together, you may. You could. We so
did. You can feel like really connected like energetically and you just like, you know, even if you haven't like, I imagine you guys have talked about it, but even if you haven't talked about it, you just feel this like kinship. And also you might provide And Carly, you can answer the question. You may provide a sense of stability in this structure, even though it doesn't have to look like, you know, we're always on time kind of structure, but you show up. Like you
show up for each other. You show up for her. You're a support system. You guys are obviously in business together. It actually makes a good thing. I don't know you day to day in and out, but having a Capricorn in that area was very demanding. I can't be very demanding, Carly, in your life. perhaps at times because it means that you probably carried a lot. So to have someone who maybe doesn't feel like that's a lot or anything's a lot, it's just, okay, this is just life. We're
going through life together. So you guys can be essentially. I don't know. It's not that you feel like a parent to Carly. It's just that you show up as this secure person who she doesn't have to worry about. Like, you show them to check in on you all the time kind of thing. There's just like, if something happens, you're like, are you okay? What's going on type thing? It's not like you need to do better. The Evolve Capricorn is like, what's happening? Let's talk about it. What can I do to help you, basically? Yeah, definitely. So, okay, cool. So for Carly showing up in Emily's life. Emily, you have Sagittarius
in the Seventh House. It's only Sagittarius. Seventh House is partnership, marriage. So let's see how interesting this is. Partnership, marriage, one -on -one partnerships, business, one -on -one business partnerships, yeah. So. Carly shows up to you as someone who is a suitable partner or someone who teaches you that one -on -one
business partnership, and that's intimate. It's a very intimate space to be in, whether, obviously, you guys aren't dating and are in a romantic relationship, or you're in a business partnership, and there is intimacy there because you have to be able to be honest with each other, show up for each other. It's similar, not the same thing as The Fourth House, but it's a literal example of you guys can work well in partnership. Yeah. So it's just, I think that's really cool.
That is really cool. Emily, will you marry me? I know. I love it. Yes. Oh my gosh. So, okay. Just off of that in general, do people come as couples and say, can you read our charts? Are we suitable before we get married? Or like don't be like that. I mean, yeah, you could do friend. I mean, that's even funny. I think like you could do friendships in a street, too, now that I think of it. But yeah, romantic century. I've done I've done charts for people not like if two people
want to come together, they can. But usually it's one person wanting to know about things. So but you can. It would be really cool if you came together as a couple and wanted to know and you can. So yes, I do read charts together and show you like how you guys learn in different aspects and how you might be different and how you might be similar and how you can support each other and all of that. Date night. Yeah, right. Bring whatever you want and come hang
out. That's so cool. So is there a... Is there a sign that's harder to work with? Like, is there a sign you're like, ooh, this one's going to be hard? There are a lot. From you specifically? Yeah, it could be you specifically. Because for everyone, that will show up differently. OK. Yeah. I don't know if it's hard or preferences at this point, right? They'll just show me what
they're teaching me in this time. However, if you want a little tea, Like the hardest relationships are the people I don't always vibe with the best are cancer sons. My boyfriend's a cancer rising. I have plenty of like other cancers in my life, but cancer sons, like I like them and I think that it's more just sometimes with cancer and Libra, I'm a Libra son. So cancer and Libra sons, sometimes those relationships can be harder in
growth. So that's the only sign. that I've had any, like, specific kind of tension with, but... Okay. It's not like, oh, Libras are crazy. Yeah. I mean, well, I guess you could have that experience, though, like, right? So, everyone's gonna look at things differently. I think I'm gonna start a journal of just, like, I'm gonna just ask everyone their signs and be like, you know what? I see a pattern where, like... Yeah. Fuck Libras, you know It's really that bad like I don't know.
It's just funny to me No, but I wonder if there is a pattern like people who have caused me a little like stress in my life I wonder if they're all the same signs and it's like And here's something you can look at without even asking them. If the stressor is similar, you can probably find that in your houses and be like, what if they're all this sign? Like you can even educated guess. Yeah. That is crazy. We just opened up a whole other box for my life. It really does connect.
Sometimes it really does add up. It's just crazy. Astrology is kind of a perfectly designed system, right? It's perfectly imperfect because it's literally geometry, which is not my strong suit, but is showing you this constellation, your geometric figure. that you are, that you're walking amongst here, and we're all interacting with each other, and that's just the perfect person to teach you, right? Each person in your life is just that perfect person to trigger you or teach you or
whatever, open you up in that way. I just think it's really... I love that. It's crazy. I still can't wrap my brain around it all. Why would someone come to you? Are people looking for clarity in career? Are they... Just curious, are they looking for clarity in their love life? What do you find the most? A lot of times, I got to be honest with readings, is you're looking for validation, or you're looking for a clear opposition, even just like seed planting, or it's this getting
a view. Because it's not an opinion, it's a view. It's this. for you to directly maybe even disagree so that you can just become clearer on yourself. Like it's okay to be like, I don't even agree with that, but that's how you know yourself, right? So it's to know yourself more, I think, in any aspect of your life. So that's one way. But another way for me is I get people going through really deep transformations. Maybe they're
lost in new beginnings. And people more than ever, I think, looking for spiritual guidance. lately, so Let's get into individual. All right. Cool. Who wants to go first? Carl you can go first. Okay. So what is there anything you want to specifically know? No, I'm kind of open to whatever needs to be told to me today. How about
that? What is what is jumping out the most? Okay, there's a couple things but I'm gonna go with the first thing here on my mind The Gemini aspects of your chart so your MC which is like you're One of your purposes or maybe your overall purpose in this life and you have it in 21 degrees of Gemini So it's extremely mutable So if you're someone who does like to change directions or you find that you you're more of a flexible person, that's okay That's who you're meant to be don't
fight that because it's in your 10th house So you have a little Gemini there and then it's mainly cancer The reason why I'm bringing this up is because I'm excited about Jupiter's transit All the planets are transiting within a year. That's huge. It's never been heard of, well, at least in our lifetimes. It's a very rare thing. But Jupiter is going to be changing on the 9th. And it's been hanging out in your 9th, and now
it's been in your 10th house for some time. And the 21 degree is a Sagittarius degree, and that's gemini's. direct opposite. So that's your opposition is Gemini. Doesn't mean you don't work well together. It just means that is your, that's your counterpart in this life. So there's an emphasis on like exploring, discovering, liking many different things, communicating. Communicating is huge. It being at the top of your chart, you're meant
to communicate. There's a part of you that prom is able to switch directions, but then there's other part of you that likes to go deeper into something, especially your intuition. And that's what may shift this year. So For the past year, there's kind of, Jupiter does not love being in Gemini. However, what are the lessons there? Jupiter is the teacher planet. It is also the planet of luck. So it's not very lucky there.
So you've probably learned about your luck, meaning if you felt down on your luck or if you feel like you're being tested. And it doesn't have to even be like luck specifically, but maybe you've had to learn a lot about what has gotten you to the role that you play in your life, whether it could be your career, but I really see The Tenth House more than ever as like the role that you play in the grand scheme of your life and
how that might be changing now. And Jupiter has brought in probably many lessons over the past year of how you communicate and what needs to be communicated or what's been communicated to you or not communicated to you, right? So. And then now that it's moving into cancer where it likes being there a little bit more, there's going to be a little bit more of an ability to
accumulate. So if there hasn't been an ability to accumulate resources, time, your energy, it's going to now shift and you're probably going
to feel a lot more. Energy, maybe even more powerful you might draw a lot of people towards you so what I would say is then we'll shift to another area of your chart because it will help balance this out of The reason why you've had to learn whatever you've been learning in the past year is to get your energy very clear for when Jupiter enters cancer because you will be able to bring a lot towards you and it's important for cancer
to have a filter. It's important for every water sign to at some point filter things out because like the water does it will accumulate garbage, right? And we have to clean ourselves out. We are water. We have to clean ourselves out. So there might have been, and especially in the most recent time, month, two months, you've been feeling like maybe of letting go of things, getting rid of things, or even internally. Or maybe you're being brought to that place. Because cancer really
operates under a lot of intuition. It's the mother, the cosmic mother. And you know, your mother, there is an intuition there. But then the cosmic mother, there's a layer of responsibility on that. That makes your question even more specific of what do you want to be responsible for? Because you don't have to be responsible for everything and everyone and that is gonna and then that Gemini comes in is able to then communicate that
right? That's that part of you that is meant to communicate to people in your life and you're like in in ways that you choose and it could be a very intimate place like cancer like they're the crab and the Gemini has many faces so there's so much there's so much like There's a depth of intuition between the two. There's a broad range, but then there's depth and there's a sense
of safety feeling with you. So there's just this beautiful dichotomy between the air and the water that you can lean into more of in your life, if that makes sense at all right now, especially. And there's luck in that. There will be more luck, there will be more opportunity, especially if you've learned over the past year and you want to take that with you. Because it is like every transit is preparing you for the next transit, whether it's positive or negative. And then fifth
house is being transited by Pluto. Your fifth house and a little bit of your sixth house, but it's a 20 year transit, so it'll take some time. And the fifth house is children, your creative energy, romance, pleasure. So whatever those have been might be transforming. Not that like your children are always transforming, but meaning what you're learning from them and how you're choosing to be even probably more open to. to transforming your life through pleasure and through
romance. And it doesn't necessarily have to be in the ways with your partner. It could just be with life too, right? It's with yourself, like what you allow yourself to be open to, because there's a lot of potential there because Aquarius is, I haven't mentioned the cards before, but I just love the star card and I love that it's the Aquarius card a lot and it's your moon and your Jupiter also sits there. So in quite a few years, Pluto will... hang out with them for a
bit, but right now it's just entered that. So if you feel, especially within the past six months, like you're starting to shift away from things that used to bring you pleasure, that used to bring you this, and now you're kind of, or maybe you've been exploring this, or you're gonna start to feel this way at some point, like that doesn't really work for you anymore, or something's changing, I'm changing, I'm becoming different, so this is different, so this is different, and you're
just, it's like just letting it. what an astrologer told me is like letting Pluto work on you and work on that area of your life, not necessarily controlling it, but allowing yourself to see what is transforming and responding to it, or like noticing if you're fighting it, like that's how you notice, like depending on how you react to change, I would say, and just being open to what does that look like for who I really am, your authentic self, right? The star is also,
Querus is also very intuitive at that. So obviously I'm being drawn to your intuition and your chart is really honoring that a lot because Sagittarius's can do that and you have a stellium, like you have a lot in Sagittarius. And I think that for you at this point in your life, it's so important that you follow that because that's what's going to break free from any of rules that you're not
meant to have. Break free from any Program rules for yourself that you're not meant to like succumb to like Because there's a there's something changing there with your even the way that you direct your life and you go about your life That your intuition can really bring a freedom More freedom to even it especially especially if it's uncomfortable This year is not supposed to be comfortable at all. And it hasn't been, but this year is not
a comfortable year. And if it is for you, that's awesome, but this is a huge growth year in every
layer. So that's really... There's a there's also one more thing if you I don't know how much time I have but there's one more thing I want to hear it all that I'm being drawn to is that your ascendant and your descendant There's not much around them, but they're at the 22 degree which is a you know, another high degree And the 22 is a Capricorn degree but they're immutable signs and This year your ascendant and descendant will be aspected by the eclipses within the next
few years. So not necessarily Every time the eclipse has happened, but they will affect your identity and your your relationship sector so your identity Upon the other things that are transforming for you and your intuition It's leaning into that Virgo knowing That not that not so much like because Virgo does it's very true that Virgo placements bring a lot of criticism It's very true. I haven't met one Virgo or Virgo placement person that doesn't have underlying
criticism. So if that's something you've been dealing with throughout your life, and maybe not as much, but it's learning to not see it as criticism and learning to work with it in terms of the criticism is just this side of Virgo that is scared to be vulnerable. And it's actually like, what if you're just vulnerable? Instead of criticizing what if you actually love because
Virgos are so pure. There's a pureness to Virgo energy even when they fuck up that I can't I don't find it anybody else and There is this pureness to Whatever it is that you do. So Whatever was once criticized in the old world Your your new trajectory is It's okay if that doesn't work
here, right? what's working now and let's build on that and let's use my really clear view and detailed view of things for good and not for what's wrong, what's wrong, what's wrong, it's like what's right and how can we make this better type deal because that's, I think, when Virgo can actually be soft. You know, Virgo's the healer of the zodiac, the virgin too, so that's that purity earth sign. So the balance is out. the masculine of your Sag and your Aquarius is this
femininity of Virgo. So if you let that be feminine, it could actually work a lot more in your favor because they really know how to remold things and reshape things. So if that relates to you at all, just know that the eclipses will help you transform that and help you see the beauty in which that brought you. It doesn't have to have heavy weight to it all the time. It doesn't have to be as harsh, because it's already harsh. Virgo is already very pointy, sharp, direct.
If you find yourself overly in the negative aspects, it's like, OK, what's bringing me there? Because Virgo needs to know how great they are and how well they are doing already, because there's a lot in the head with them. So it's really bringing it down and letting your body. take more of the lead. So if you're someone who has Virgo placements, being in your body is really, really important. And having a movement routine that you really like is important. I love that. That sounds like
I'm headed in the right direction. It sounds like you. Yeah, do you see it? Yeah. Yeah, oh god, yeah. We got to find out when the next eclipse is. September. September. September, okay. I can give you specifics, but yeah, tell me about what you heard. How does that sound like you? If you don't mind me asking. Definitely, I've always felt intuitive. I've just had this gut feeling my whole life and I feel it more like when I really been trusting it more often and
it's like stronger and stronger. Virgo also rules the intestines too, just so you know. Oh, so my my gut feelings are Virgo. If you're, as long as you're clearly digesting and you're digesting well, yes, your gut feelings are going to be even clearer, like crazy. I love it. Okay. Also with just self -criticism, but I've been just kind of pushing any doubts aside and just being like, you know what, why not? Why not just do less of what brings me down and do more of what
pulls me up, you know? Yes. Because Virgo, just like Capricorn, likes to work, but the difference is that Virgo can really, there's so much, there's just so much you can bring your energy to. So it's like, do you want to enjoy working? Because you can, you know? Like you can. And as someone who has Astellium and Virgo, I understand. You have a friend. And I'm really excited for the next few years for you. to like shine. Because
Virgo is also a writer, right? There's writing, there's the hands, there's the nervousness, there's so much. And they're happening. The next ones are the Pisces eclipse is the 7th of September and the Virgo eclipse is the 21st of September. So that's the next time. Yeah. Cool. Exciting. Yeah, because I've been, you know, 20 years. I've just been busting ass and doing what I had to do to kind of just get through life, right?
And then just this past couple of years, I've been really slowing down and doing more of what I love, tapping into my writing. Like I wrote a kid's book and I'm going to see where that goes, you know, and just everything is new. Everything is new and positive and bright. And I'm excited to. Yeah, so cool. It's new, but it's like you also took the time to discover that too, right? So it's like. Isn't that interesting to think about? It's like, this isn't new, but I've also
been working on it. I don't know. It's just interesting. Yeah, it's collaborating all of my life lessons throughout these past 20 years and just alchemizing them into something that will hopefully help somebody else. Of course they will. Yeah. That's the goal. That's so cool. If it's helped you,
it's definitely going to help someone else. That actually, I do feel like that for everyone, but specifically all of the Sagittarius that you have, that Aquarius moon, and then the Gemini on your Midheaven, your MC, Gemini is the only human human, the humanest human of us all.
