Six oh seven, six eight, So getting things rolling and coming up on the show today. Let's see from a guest perspective, let me start with this, uh eighth five, So two hours from now, so I expect you to uh, you know, hang out, wait it out. But two hours now, Senator Ted Buddle join us. So I feel like maybe we need to revisit a few things from the State of the Union. Feels like a feels like a good idea. So I got a laundry list here,

we'll go go into that. Uh dude, New York Man. For a while, they kind of dipped up there with the the real crazy crazy stuff, right, the real moonbatty stuff. And it was because not only to the governor but also the mayor of New York City. They realized that even and loyal voters for them, and fine, you know it kind of had enough of this crap, especially on the immigration issue, right, but it slow rolled some of the other stupidity too, so that they're back,

I guess, But don't worry. It's you know, the stuff they're going after now is you know, it's not it's not stuff that's real big to the average New Yorker. So like, oh, what is the what is the the thing with the it's the bread with the sauce and the cheese. What is what is that? I'm sorry, I'm not a rush. You're from the state of New York. But it's a circle of bread and then

they put cheese and meats sometimes and I think you're talking about it. Sometimes it's cutting it either triangles or squares, yes, yes, yes, yeah. And then in Detroit they take the concept and then make it look like garbae. Yeah that what is what is the name? I believe it's called pizza? Is that big? In New York it's sort of a thing. Yes, okay, I mean like when you go back home, it's something you have to have. Oh you have? Oh so it's mandatory. Oh

wow. Okay. Well I don't know how that's going to comport because oh jeez, uh, that seems to be a the the target of New York City officials. Well maybe maybe it's an outstate New York thing. So it's not in New York City thing, right, I guess should be clear here because this is the city doing it. So it's a it's like the rest of New York where you guys eat the piece the pizza stuff, right, not New York City itself. All right, I was shaking this all right,

so good, good, good good. So this is I have no impact. Here we go. The New York City has approved a green a new green plan to require eazzerias and Beata some bakeries using wood or coal fired stoves to reduce the total emissions by seventy five percent. So how do you accomplish that? Well, couple ways, although arguably the first one, some are a little on the fence about how effective it is over time. So the first way is about six hundred thousand, which is the cost of a

smoke eating system for the average medium output pizzeria in New York. The other, I guess, would be to make only twenty five percent of the pizza you're currently making. So that's fun that that's where this is going. And I remember when they this was mentioned before. I think we mentioned it on the show before that, you know, this was this was something that a couple of the the moonbats, both of by the way, okay, do

you remember the story. The two who were talking about it are both vegan, which pizza can be vegan understandably so, but it's also a hell of a delivery system for things that a lot of vegans don't like. And if you're vegan, that's fine, more power to you enjoy your special dough, which I'm sure is delicious. But no, no, so they bring this up and then it was like the gas the gas range story, right,

you remember the evolution of that. All right, so high profile individual in this case a lawmaker, both the federal level and at the estate level, are sitting there talking about gas. You know, gas stoves. The energy secretary she mentions it. And then people are like, this is dumb. And by the way, why when we comb through your social media and you're like, just in your kitchen, right because you cook every day for your family and that apron with the grease is still in it. How come every

one of you have like a twenty thousand dollars Viking range. I mean, what is the hell's going on? Man? Or that French one? The old looks old timey. Those things are a house in some cases, it's like and then the narrative was, ah, here we go, another conspiracy by the MAGA crowd, the good conservatives. It's a conspiracy. And then like within two weeks, some bills had been submitted, not that they were going to go anywhere in the House at the federal level, although I wonder

times with the current crop. But also they were looking at things that were not laws per se, but rather things that could be done, you know, via bureaucracy, so you would have an elected officials implemented that. So within like a week of being told as conspiracy theory, they literally moved ahead on attempting to legislate and or regulate this. That was the line with this pizza thing. And I feel like, I feel like I don't feel like it is what's happening, right, It is a lot of this isn't the

natural evolution of politics. Very often things that get out there that you're able to sit there and go, look, nobody's written any legislation on this. I don't know, they're so crazy. But by the way, what do you think of the idea? Right? You just become the largest rank Lutz

group ever. You're you're the you're the three hundred and thirty million person panel on this stuff, right, Because they're looking for reactions, they're looking looking for partners too, and uh, you know, donors who may want to throw their weight behind this stuff. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, this is a is a test case. Man. Just see you just see, you understand what's going on. And now they'll be like, oh, that's a conspiracy. No, no, it's not. And you don't

have to believe me. Go watch the uh the uh the west Wing, right, you know, hold on, hold on, hold on, people go, well, Casey, that's not real. I'm aware that it's not real. But there was two things about that show that you have to understand. One, the amount of people that they had who were former administration people who were helping to craft that show is a lot, okay, So the mechanics of the office were represented in constructing those episodes. And then you have

the writers of it. You know, you got a Sorkin right, the producers of it and and those who build the Hollywood around it. But you know, they were praised, they were praised for this, and and that idea didn't just emerge and it's something that happens over the course of that show kind of on the regular. So anyway, that's right, my own little conspiracy as we get rolling this morning, So h yeah, sou pizza, New York. Sure, why not go after that? Man? Absolutely,

and and that's just that's just at the city level. Wait, I gotta, I gotta, that's Adams, I got it insane hokel Hockel or whatever the governor story is. So we'll get into that as well. M we got some messed up stuff in the stack. And oh no, we have to solve a mystery in New New Orleans. Nolins coming up. Plus I got some audio as we'll wrap into the local story and finish this pizza thing. But you went to weigh in eight eight eight nine three four seven eight,

So now I want pizza only. I only want pizza to try out the new pizza cutter. So the samurai sword yep, bragging anyway, I think about that. We'll be back. Oh, come on, you're connecting things that aren't there. Ah, and you know, getting ready to pen

me an email. No, some some moonbats suggests something because they realize people are not gonna like it, but they don't know exactly how many, and they don't know if if a boycott or a the people be angry enough to inflict political damage on them from wanting to do whatever it is they want to do. Right. Sometimes it works, whether you're whether you're a business or a governmental entity. And sometimes you do something and a bunch of sitting members

of Congress get primaried. So that's how they test this stuff. So they did with the gas ranges, and it is what they did with the pizza because we got receipts. All right, this is from June of last year. This is this is when we first did it. Ross went and found the audio back in the the old archives. This is a guy who heard about this dumb suggestion and decided to go to city Hall redress his grievances,

and he brought a bunch of pizza with it. No woke cast idiots school run the city are doing everything in that power to destroy it, all right. By the way, that on the scale of New Yorkers, right, it's a very distinct accent. But there's also different variations. That dude sounds

like he eats pizza all for all of his meals. Ain't know wrong with that, right, But this is a guy who is heavily invested in pizza but not bs, all right, So it's a clear dividing line, I'm sorry, continues, So, no woke cast idiots school run the city are doing everything in that power to destroy it. We have naked men with it bouncing around all over the city yesterday in public, in front of children. We have the most violent, raging crime rate ever. We are being invaded

by illegal immigrants who are being treated way better than our homeless veterans. Our teachers and first responded heroes who were fired still not compensated because they didn't take the fauci injection. Our city schools produced the dumbest kids and the woke gass punks who run New York City are afraid of pizza. The world used to respect New Yorkers as tough, thick skinned and gritty. Now we have become It's a damn shame. You heard of the Boston tea Party. Well this

is the Boston New York. This is the New York pizza party. Give us pizza or give us death. Give us pizza. I'll give us dumbest pizzas destroying every small fiscise. That's what this city key he's doing. Didn't have a small business, can't have pizza. New York City is nothing without pizza. Find the lie. Hey yeah, how great is that? Dude? He got a little he got a little passionate. Uh he didn't go full Native American garb in recreating his version of about but uh, where is

the lie? I mean, he arguably do I think that the highest crime rate in New York is right now versus I don't know, gangs of New York era. That being said, it is so visible. I understand the frustration, and he's not wrong because if you're a small business and and you know, bureaucrats would sit there and go, oh wow, look, it's just the cost of doing business. You also have to have uh, you know, uh an exhaust system. You also have to have this. You

have to have that, right. But this is a debate on what are the minimum or maximum things that we need to have. So it's such a straw man, stupid argument. But yeah, that dude, that dude was a trendsetter. So I don't know. Maybe they'll be dumping pizza this weekend. Somebody, one of our listeners sent me a picture he bought it. He bought his first heifer, which I could appreciate. Obviously. You know you want to talk Cali Ranching, I'm down. I'll have that conversation.

Probably should have called me first. Did you get tricked? Is that how you ended up with a highland. Mini, Oh, I know what you're talking about. Yeah, dude, those are how's your magic beings working out? All right? If you don't know what a highland is, we actually have highlands. We have angus, and we have highlands, and then we

have stupidvice and too. But and the and the reason uh some ranchers like highlands and I appreciate highlands is they're really hearty in cold weather and out in Wyoming, the calving season is like February, man, so pretty miserable. And they all seem to want to have their calves at like two in the

morning and and then have them have some sort of complication. But with highlands, dude, I can't tell you the number of times where we found one literally uh you know, going in going into labor, and before we could kind of set up, she'd have the thing, no fuss, no muss. But they're the fuzzy looking cows. Okay, but they're also the trade off is they from a from a body weight stand, but they're just not as big as some of the other uh cows. Your knowledge on this is

obviously like vastly superior to my own. Right, The best way I could describe it without going into detail. When I saw photos of it, I was like, oh my god, it's like a it's like a pony cow. Yes, that's it's which I didn't know existed. I'm like, that's adorable. I just want to know. Did you walk in and to the cow store and they and they're just like, oh no, no, it's a this is a baby bigger, that's a that's not gonna get much bigger.

And here's from from this mindset, like uh uh, when you're producing beef, here's what you care about at the at the time you're selling your beef. And then there is some it's not as cut and dry as just at the time. There's a whole convoluted process. But because you average herd and there's all sorts of things. But at the time you go to sell it, you want them. You want them as healthy and uh and by healthy I mean not there's a disease checklist. You don't want to pop anything

on there. But more specifically, you want them fat and happy, man, because the fatter and happier they are. One they don't understand why they're taking the trip from Buffalo, Wyoming to uh near Fort Collins del Camino, which is where we'd sell to. But you know, because it's about weight, so im things not going to put on that The on the hoof is not going to be much for that bad boy, all right, So he writes those those cattle ranchers in Wyoming better take me serious style. Oh yeah.

Maybe the thought process is you want to start off small and work your way up, and here's a big house. Seems like you know, you would start off with a with a pony cow and you work your way into the big I don't. I'm just set. Maybe that's a thought process. I mean it's like, you know, if you start a farm, you

want to start with a simple, easy animal like a sheep. Oh arrange maggot now now, which which I learned, by the way, is not true in any When you watch that Jeremy Clarkson show Clarkson Farm, Yeah, and he first says sheep and he's eye is gonna be super easy, and they're like you not look, uh. Different livestock require different things. However, there are costs that aren't going to be too dissimilar. So if I had to average, what the cost for a cow is gonna be versus the

return on the cow. Keep in mind that we are able to graze mountain property during post calving, during the you know, during the summer up to and then literally at the end of the summer when you when you're gonna drive everybody back down, is what we're selling. So you're loading trucks and doing all that, and so that from a feed perspective is good. We still have to feed winter, and we got a feed cake. We have alfalfa and a bunch of others and cake, by the way, sugar beet pulp

that's mashed together in these little pucks. So there's a cost there, but there's also a medical cost. There's you know, just essentially a carrying cost. And while it may not eat as much, it's still going to require the same medical costs essentially. So like from a profit standpoint, No, that's probably not a good idea. Are you gonna keep it in the house? Yeah, if you're gonna take that to Wyoming, I don't. I might call my friends to beat you just so they can crack wise. Man,

that'd be nice to you. But here's how I recommend you do it. Get your baby cow, put it in the put it in the passenger seat of your your your pick them up truck there, and and then what you do on the drive, because I want you to drive up north and then cut over on I ninety so you go through near Sturges. And then what you also want to do is toe a trailer with a Harley on it.

You only ride once a year, and because and then drive through in August is when you should go. So the folks in South Dakota obviously really respect you. And when you get to Wyoming showing your cow dude and buy some boots and a hat that have never been worn in our brand new call that our our sturgeons slash dude ranch tourists. So now I'm just I'm just busting with you. If that's what you want, that's what you want,

are you gonna eat it? That's the other thing, because admittedly people look at a baby cow or a mini cow, and you know, anything that's fun sized gets the uh oh it's so cute. Like cows are a lot less cute when they're big enough to crush you against a fence post, but when they're babies, everyone loves the damn thing. So like you traumatize your kid man all right, thank you, thank you for that. I'm sorry. Just not every day somebody sends me a a mini cow and ask my

opinions. You got my opinion there, all right. Let me flip. Let me flip back over to this. We have a mystery to solve. Not and it's not why would somebody buy a mini cow? Okay, we got it, it's not not it. We're gonna head knowltly Murderville, USA last year, and uh they got a little bit of a problem. See they're you know, they're trying to get a handle on on the crime.

But it's very humid down there. Things like I like New Orleans, not the crime like part of it, or really the heat sometimes, but you know, this fun stuff to do. It's a good time to go hang out there Bourbon streets. A lot is busy and a lot more fun. Not during the peak of Marti Gras, obviously. So I want, I wanted to get better, like I want everywhere everywhere else to get better.

But I don't know that I'm buying this heavy mold in Deteriorating elevators, HVAC units, and plumbing are just some of the issues plaguing the police headquarters However, it's come to light that apparently rats got up in their evidence room and ate all the drugs. Okay, not all of it, just the marijuana and some cocaine. And that's totally what happened. So we got it. That's the Yeah, what what dude? Have you remember? You see pizza

rat going back to a New York reference, Remember pizza rat? I remember a pizza rat. I remember a cigarette smoking rat. Yeah, So, like rats will eat anything. So another rats going into the evidence locker and eating all the cocaine, not all the cocaine, but yeah, yeah, some of it. Yeah yeah. And the marijuana they eat the marijuana to By the way, how'd you like to encounter the horde of cocaine rats? Did you see that video of that dude sleeping on the subway in New York

and his blanket starts moving and like all the rats run out. That was it was going around here a few weeks ago. It's really it's super creepy. Now imagine they're all spun out of their mind on blow. You don't want that, you don't want that. What was the thing where they put the bowl on somebody's chest with the rat in it and they would like eat through. I don't even know if that was a real thing historically, although with all the weird stuff in history, it probably is right now, that

rat. But it's on a two day coke bender. So let's see. It's not just police headquarters either. In fact, evidence rooms at the sub stations have also experienced some issues, which also includes, among other things, infestation of rats and cockroaches which has infiltrated all aspects of the buildings. And yes, even in the evidence room where the rats just they're just they love

cocaine, man, just big fans of cocaine. Oh jeez. Let's see here, I'm trying to get I'm trying to figure they don't They don't say the dollar amount of what they may have consumed. But okay, sure whatever, here we go. One n OPTE is the line that was. It's a long article. One nolans PD veteran. So the headquarters Abilding has been infested with vermin for nearly two decades. So wait, they've been eating your drugs for two decades? How does how does that not? I have to

assume, I don't know, maybe there's a lawyer listening, right. If if you had a client who got arrested with we'll just say a kilo of coke, because that's the classic thing everyone can envision. And by the time you go to Troy, right, that's the evidence that was seized from your client, that's what you're defending. And by the time you go to trial,

that brick of cocaine has been basically destroyed. Right, there's still gonna be packaging, maybe the bag that was around it for evidence and some of the cocaine. Like, is that does your client? That is that aiding your client where they're like, nah, rats ate it, and You're like, well, why is there a straw next to it? I mean, are the rats using a straw? I know the sea turtles do to the rats. I don't know, so I don't know how that works. But

I hope you got video of the rats having their little coke bend. I'm a legal expert because you know the whole jury thing. You know, some of the jury gone. I mean, that's not guilty, not guilty from the rats or the police or the the correct story. Okay, well, if you have video of the rats eating, that's all I'm saying. But no, apparently one of the other problems they have is in addition to sanitation

being an issue. Apparently the the electronic systems, the surveyor the cameras and stuff, apparently they have problems, and they say it's due to some rod and moisture there. Why do I have a feeling that the impacted cameras might be the one near the cocaine room if I had to guess. Well, anyway, so they're trying to figure out they're gonna dump a bunch of money in this, But I I just think that that little portion of the story maybe uh, well, maybe you can find a group of people to investigate

that, you know, with like arrest power. So if you I can't think of the name of that group, but maybe you should probably do that, all right? Six forty eight hang on? Oh yeah, yeah, they got they gotta I wouldn't call it a little problem. They got them a big problem down in New Orleans where the police, HQ and the substations basically are all in such states of disrepair that camera systems are failing, walls

and ceilings are rotting, which I mean that much humidity down there. Everything's got a little tinge to it. But they say it's a big, big, problem, and they have vermin infested evidence rooms and they really like to eat cocaine. So that's the story they're going with, all right, and who knows, maybe do you know what I should you? What I should have done is reach Boston, Paul, How did you guys steal cocaine back?

And then not you personally, of course, but like, do you have to take a different tact or do you blame it on rats too? I don't. I don't. I don't know the process there, and I'm I'm partially teasing. Uh. They did have some photos where that you can literally see rats just screwing around in one of the evidence lockers, and I think they would eat the marijuana, but you know they'll eat the cocaine because

there's literally famous rat experiments with cocaine with the addiction of it. They literally they they gave a bunch of rats cocaine on the regular and food and water like in different areas of this little box, and eventually the rat would just ignore the water and the food and just hang out where the cocaine was coming out. So, yeah, they love them some cocaine. All right, Logan, what's up? I was thinking that you know, we We've seen

this kind of story before. So I'm predicting the summer of next year we're gonna see the movie Cocaine Rat. Sorry sir, they're working on crocodile right now, so oh man, that's probably gonna do better anyway. Yeah, it's something. It's something like it's some of the with a gator or crocodile. I I think I I think I wanted it to be called crocodile is, but I can't remember what it was. Yeah, but you know, get in one good title. They should they should go with that. Yeah,

but I thought that I think you're gonna do rats. You can't have it. Can't be a sick can't. It has to be cocaine rats, right, because you have to. That's much more terrifying. And what you do when they're on the cocaine they gain the power that the critters had, remember the Critters movies, where they conform where they were, So the cocaine rats can form into a ball and rollover farmers. Yeah, so just some

thoughts for Hollywood. I'm just saying, yeah, I'd watch it all right, Thanks man, I appreciate it. Wow, that is U. It's quite the list. The NFL Free Agency stuff and some big, big stuff in there. We will talk a little about that, mostly just so I can whine, so I won't punish you too much. We had we just had a story from New Orleans where apparently their police buildings are all just falling apart, and as part of the problem, they have infestations of rats and

cockroaches and you name it. And the rats are up in the evidence room eating the drugs. So I just wondered if that's the usual way in which you just blame it on the rats, if you've got a couple bad apples and they're stealing blow. I don't know how that works, and does that work in every New Orleans? You know, to say that the humidity is making our buildings fall down and the rats can literally just chew through the walls

like it feels like a localized excuse. Oh here's boss. Okay, good Boston Paul, he can answer, all right, So how did you guys steal drugs up in Boston? How did that work? Talking to me? Yeah, yeah, I'm in the middle of training, man. He well, we hold on, hold on, Uh well, actually go ahead, soon as're gonna stay and then I'll address that statement. But well, most most hot drugs were kept in a safe, depending on the quantity, but

we we'd rush those cases through, so we'd go to destruction. If that answers any of your question. I see what you did there. It's like kind of it's like when all my guns fell in the lake. Huh is that what you signed off? It's got to be on four eyes. I mean, you know, yeah, I'm tongue in cheek here. But the safe thing is weird though, because I just assumed that the blow was literally

in a safe inside of a locked room. But yeah, yeah, I mean tell me of building in any city that's not rat infested, a roach infested. H yeah. But also did you what did you say you're training training? Got the big day coming up? Man? Cow about what's coming down the road? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, no, I understand you're gonna go throw up green beer next Sunday. But uh, or I guess this Sunday. That being said, what

what what is this lay mass training? Are you like one of those people who gets, you know, like the month before beach season, right, you get, you work out furiously and and then once fall hits you let yourself get fat again. I mean, where's your commitment to maintain what you need for Sunday throughout the entire year. I see, I'm getting old now, you know. I gotta I gotta go. I gotta go down to the pub and train. So we get down there early in the morning.

We do ourcales, you know, the twelve months, and then we we bring it down to the one ounces so you can mix the beer with the jamison or the powers. Powers. All right, have fun with the training. Uh yeah, yeah, I want you gotta you gotta be committed all year. So no half aassen it, don't care what the excuse is. No, what is this? Anyone who says that a single rat is not

terrifying has never heard of splinter or watch The Princess Bride. Okay, these are regular rat and to be fair, is The Princess Bride a rat an actual rat because it is not referred to as a rat in the movie. It is referred to as a rodent of unusual size, so maybe related to the rat, but clearly not your normal rat. So and then splinters, obviously, that's that's that's not real. So neither's Princess Bride. For that matter. But it's not even attempting to be all right anyway, debunk debunked.

Thank you for your email, appreciate that. Let me get to this. This is one of the crazy. Now, this was a story that that has made its way back into the public's eyes that was actually written quite a few years ago by a journalist by the name of Amanda Kujira, right. And the reason I think the reason people drug it up is she's on the social media and obviously she has a lot of knowledge about Haiti because she literally was in Haiti covering you know, humanity angle, government corruption, all

sorts of stuff, and specifically violence against women in Haiti. This is a big passion passion project. And that's fine, you want to go cover that, that's fine. But she's on there, and like she is, she just keeps posting a bunch of really woke stuff on the whole Haiti issue. And was I saw a couple exchanges. Was just you know, one of

those I'm so smart, you're all stupid. So somebody dug up this article she wrote and it's insane, absolutely insane, And I oh, all right, I'm I'm gonna read you about maybe a quarter of this, it's not very long. All right, we are not your weapons, We are women, is the headline of this story. Two weeks ago, on a Monday morning, I started to write what I thought was a very clever editorial about violence against women in Haiti. Okay, the case, I believe now listen

to this was being overstated by women's organizations in need of additional resources. Now that sounds somewhat counterintuitive until you understand what the angle is there, because she's saying that that's what she thought was going on. And by the way, to some extent, that is going on, whether it is for a good cause or a bad cause. When you have people sending money in tons of big chunks of especially following the earthquake in Haiti, the misappropriation and the misuse

of those monies is rampant. And so you know, understandably people are gonna have their hands out, but a lot of times it doesn't go where it's supposed to go. Not even that was the point that Trump was making in Puerto Rico with the paper to you know, the whole paper towel incident. But the bigger point was the the woman who was running the country at the time is corrupt. And remember they brought her up to the State of the Union and all that, and I don't know if you remember what happened,

like a year later, she got arrested. She got arrested because stealing a bunch of money. I don't even know she got prosecuted, but she was out of there, man, and then she had some deal with another mayor. It was It's all really really stuff that's somewhat predictable when you have lax oversight and politicians that just can pretty much get away with whatever they want. In the US, I think they just hide it better. So anyway, she's going down there to do this. But this story is about the day

her mind changed. So she thought that they were overstating violence against women. But that's why she went to go to to go do this the case I believe was being overstated. Ever condmitted to preserving the dignity of black men in a world which constantly stereotypes them as violent savages. See, there's the other

motivation. She thinks it's being overstated to get more money, but also she is she is there to save the reputation of the men in Haiti, Okay, because I quote they're met with the world which the stereotypes view them as violent savages. Let's see, I viewed the writing as yet one more opportunity to quote fight the man on behalf of my brothers. However, that night, before I could finish the piece, I was held on a rooftop in Haiti and raped repeatedly by one of the men who I had spent the bulk

of my life advocating for. That's horrible and it should have happened. And I hope they drop these dudes into a volcano or something. This is where it gets crazy. Black men have every right to the anger they feel and response to their position the global hierarchy, but their anger is misdirected. Not once that I envision myself becoming a receptacle for a black man's rage at the white world. While I take issue with his behavior, I'm grateful for the

experience. I'm going to read that again. So she goes to Haiti, She's gonna write these stories. She's doing so twofold reasons. One want to make sure that the she thinks that. But the problem is overstated, and it is. It is unfairly stigmatizing and stereotyping the men in Haiti black men, that's who she's there to fight for. Who, according to her, then proceed, after spending time with her, showing her around, probably I don't know, to take her to a rooftop and and repeatedly rape her.

And she said, while I take issue with their behavior, I'm grateful for the experience. It woke me up maybe understand on a deeper level the terror that my sisters deal with. So now I feel comfortable in speaking for Haitian women saying we will not be your pawns racially, politically, economically, or otherwise. We are women, not weapons of war. And there's there's more there, But that's the that's the insane part. So yeah, is it a mental disease? I kind of feel like it is, or well,

I don't know. I'm not even gonna speculate on it. But a what a crazy twist on that? All right, seven seventeen case O Day Radio program. Hang on, if there's something you or I don't know, chances are there's somebody listening who does. Cause I didn't pick up on it just because it's just standard stick. So, uh well, I'm sorry, Ross. What did we learn about when Boston Paul called in I'm sorry, very professionals eating. Uh yeah, apparently the music in the background he's playing.

Yeah, he was trying to, you know, talking about Saint Patrick's Day on Sunday, so he had a little music there. Go ahead. Yeah, it's a title to Scotland The Brave. Oh no, I'm certain think maybe bust and Paul could be the Rat. Well, he's obviously a red coat right at that point, right, I don't know. I don't know. If you're familiar with Ross, you've never been to Ireland. I've been

to Ireland, but you don't have to go to Ireland. They, especially older Irish, they still got some beef with the British or in this case, the United Kingdom over there, like they got a little beef. I don't know. Maybe they maybe not as much towards Scottish people because there's a certain related ability there. But yeah, I you know, you're that's like I feel like that's uh, you're at the you're at NFL practice and you're

practicing layups. I don't know, just I just don't feel right. So, oh man, that's some tough evidence there now sending people are sending me giant rat pictures I'm good. I'm good, but I'm still not terrified of even the biggest Madagascar and rat or whatever that thing is. So but thanks for the update. Appreciate that. All right, let's see here there it goes. Now it open, so wesh, I'll get into that. But

I was I was joking about pulling up the the NFL list. There's been you know, we're free agency now, there's just been some crazy stuff out there. Wait, it doesn't matter. With the exception of Dallas, every team has a lot going on right now. I don't know what's going on with that. I'll ask Stagic like they as far as I can tell, they didn't make a single move. When I say a single move, I mean resigning players that they got going out and putting deals together ahead of the

the actual movement day which is later this week. But everybody else man and uh yeah, And I wanted to go get that list over a dead Spin, the premium sports journalism site, but shockingly they they haven't. They haven't curated a list, so weird. Some of the stuff on here looks a little dated, all right, slightly tongue in cheek there, But dead Spin the wocust of the sports outlets, and if you don't know the name,

you know the actions. They would be the uh the outlet that decided that that kid, the Kansas City kid with the face paint in the head dress, had found a way too. I believe it was worded something like has found a way to be racist to two groups or something, right, because they got the picture on the one side of his face with black paint and it's at an angle so you can't see the other side. I know that you know this, but and the family was getting ready to they're still in

the crap out of them. Well, here's what happened. According to employees, they showed up for work were literally locked out of like loggins and stuff. So they're all standing around with wondering what the hell's going on, And according to the staffers, basically they then were told, hey, you're all fired, which, by the way, that's a little that's a little cold making you come to work, stand around in a mass a massive confusion with

your coworkers, and then everybody gets eighty six. That being said, I'm sure they've got security badges and all that stuff, and they're all done. Cacoday Radio program in one hour Senator Ted Budd'll be with us. Obviously, you know we had election stuff State of the Union, so we'll get into a few things as well as the budget proposal by the White House. Oh goodness, here we go the White House. I guess the President has unveiled

his election your budget. I mean, it's his pitch, right. Obviously he doesn't set the budget, but this is what you do in it. Let's see here. Let me just give you the highlights. It calls for five and a half trillion in tax increases. That uh fun wealthy on the wealthiest individuals and corporations is the way that it's worded. So and let's let's

also be honest. They're doing the whole the line again, and it just I swear man, I lose so much confidence in the American public when when you hear something repeated so often and yes, I understand the uh the propaganda, Gebbel's quite I got it, Okay, I get that it works, but it's just so disheartening. And it's that line, and it's it sounds a little like this, there's no reason a nurse should pay the same taxes as a CEO. Well they don't, So that's not a thing that happens.

And and generally, now, if the nurse has cash on hand and invests it and makes gains on it, then yes, she is paying the same tax rate as a as a wealthy person, because capital gains are taxed at the rate that it's taxed at. Is not It doesn't matter if it's you or a CEO, or if you're a ceo, it doesn't matter if

it's you or a nurse. Right, So it's all disingenuous. And the fact remains that most likely the wealthy person, when it comes to income received right income tax, they are almost almost absolutely at a higher tax rate. Now then they point CEOs who work for a dollar and then have stock options, Well, understand that the stocks, the stock options, and any ains realized on that will then be taxed. So the whole things will be asked.

But that's how you gin up support for this, Right, You're gonna go, oh, you see that guy with the yacht, Let's get them. But also that big corporation where you go to buy your groceries, let's get them too. And at no point does anyone go, well, what is that, What are my groceries gonna cost? If they have a six because remember they want to raise the corporate tax rate by six percent. Where As I said, do you think they're going to eat that cost? The

hell no, they're not could eat that cost. Let's see here, So I think the total, the total of it would be seven point three trillion. There you go. Seven point three trillion is the total price. Here we go the fiscal your twenty twenty five budget, which is highly unlikely to be approved, good matches last year's top line tax increase level and spends three hundred billion more while purportedly cutting the federal deficit by three trillion over the next

ten years. And then what you want to wait for is at some point the Congressional Budget Office will come out and they'll be like, oh yeah, they'll totally do that, and then they'll readjust that assessment. And it's so weird how it happens in seemingly different directions for different presidents, and like every other prediction within government, No, it would never pan out like that because

people were they'll react. Eventually you hit a number. Well, the whole time you're you're elevating things, people are reacting, and eventually you hit a comfort. You hit a comfort level of threshold where people are like, no, I'm out man. You saw that in California. You see it in

California. You saw it in France when they went top right for uh, you know, for the rich there and who's the actor as a dep pardue or whatever that like the first day that dude's like, I'm moving, I'm out of here, because if you're really rich, it's really easy to uh in a lot of places, to get a to get another passport if you want, like, if you want to go full I'm out of here. People have done that. Did Madonna? I think Madonna did that? Didn't she? Is she still a US resident or she? Uh? I think

she's an EU resident now. So yeah, So people will have reactions and and and different different things. They'll probably they'll slip some little loophole in there for their favorite donors and then others will use it and then they'll demonize them

for it, and just just ready yourself, let's see. The Committee for Responsible Federal Budget noted that the Office of Management and Budget Estimates project the national debt would actually surge to forty five trillion by twenty thirty four under this plan if it was then left in effect going forward. So this you have competing previews here, and I'm more inclined to believe it's somewhere in the middle,

but as sure as hell ink cutting the deficit. Brian Reedle, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute focusing on the budget, tells The New York Post the president's proposal would saddle the US with the highest sustained income tax burden in American history as a share of the economy. All right, so under those parameters, it's going to be the highest it's ever been. So good luck with that. Again, I don't think there's probably appetite for it. We'll ask

the Senator here in just a few minutes. All right, man, I'm dude, I'm cruising down this list here of all of the NFL moves, the signings, the re signings, the soon to be signings, because of the way the rules work, and it's crazy, big loss, big loss for the Panthers. Brian Burns going to New York. That dude's a absolute stud. Which is why they gave New York game one hundred and fifty million.

What do the Panthers get They got the second they got the second round pick from the Giants, which I think is like thirty six or thirty seventh overall, and then there's some other stuff with like like swaps of fifth round picks and stuff. But yeah, so that was a big deal. See just scanning the list here. Punt God, we've talked about him. He's with Kansas City, that was announced a little while ago. Saquon Barkley left New York. He's now with Philly and the Minnesota Vikings have given up.

So dude, that's another Like, if you're a Panthers fan, that's another thing. Kirk. Whatever you think of Kirk Cousins, he's better in what Atlanta has had, and he's gonna have a lot of weapons down there, and I do I think he's one of the best dudes too. I talked to my friends who still work up with the Minneapolis cluster and some buddies who work within the Vikings organization they got over the years, and they're just like, he's just such a good guy. Teammates love him, community loves him.

When his achilles got blown, they had an event literally like two days later back at you know, Vikings HQ. He just has season ending injury, and they obviously told him. It's a kid's charity event that they do every year, and they told him, they're like, dude, you don't need to show up. He had one of those little carts but you put your leg on while it's folded, kind of roll around, and he was

there the whole damn day. So I'm happy for the guy. I'm just we signed Sam Darnald and we may sign They were talking about signing Donald and Zach Wills. I don't know what the hell we're doing. I'm terrified though, and seeing me, I was looking at the Bills list. I don't know. There's nothing surprising there. You guys did re sign some guys you really need. That's good. The one here's the one I can't understand.

Let's get Rastagic into this mix. There's only one team. There's only one team that has literally not done anything, and that's Dallas, which scares me because you got that what that means Jerry Jones has something on his brain and who the hell knows what it is why they didn't really do anything last year.

Yeah, there's something on this. They haven't even re signed any of the guys that they have, and the they like that are in agency threat right now, Like they didn't even move on guys they already had on the roster. Which it's the weird part, man. Yeah, I couldn't even start to anticipate what's going to happen. Is you know, are they going to sign Henry? Honestly, I I think it's not a good option.

I just I don't know. I don't know. He's almost I don't know if that's your guys' problem really either, No, no, I know what the problem didn't look like he you know, and then obviously that that whole thing, but like it it it went downhill after Zeke left and even though I think people predicted that, but still like you guys have other issues obviously, just like well, yeah, I mean Pollard came off a major injury. I mean that's why here in Atlanta, even with Cousins, I'm concerned.

I don't know if that was the if that was the best move for them. I mean, he's coming off in Achilles. You know, you hope that he's going to recover, right, Yeah, but you know Cousins thing is, and this will come down to your line, with your own line. You guys signed some people too, yep, like Cousins isn't a mobile quarterback anyway, right the dude this statue, Really he's not a scrambling guy. So whether that means it's less impactful, uh, I don't know

the answer to that. But I have you guys like you guys want Sam Darnold for first round or yeah, but another guy that's getting up there in age. I just I don't know we what we see to sign like these veteran free agents, and I don't I haven't seen many times where where, at least in Dallas they've worked out, and I don't know about Atlanta. But he's got a Cousins, has got a decent supporting cast anyway, at running back and at receiver and on the line of defense. You guys have

a study yet tight end too. Need a little help on the edge on defense. But you know, I'm hoping they'll be Okay. I mean, this town really wants it, and go over in Dallas. It's you know who I want, who I think fits that backfield perfectly in the draft. Okay, take a guess. You know I'm biased. I really think Will

Shipley fits that offense. Say you are all in on the He's all in on the constant but who else is out there or it's going to be available by the time they pick in terms of terms of running back LSU dude, Yeah, but he's going to be around at twenty something. I don't know. I'm trying to figure out if the Vikings are going to try to get one of the three quarterbacks and then like, which do you choose? Do you trade up? Do you move stuff around? At least the fans be

like you're doing something, so appreciate that. But is drinke May ready to go from unc is Caleb from us? Like, I don't know. I don't such a roll of the dice, man, so I guess well, yeah, and obviously the Bears are going to stick with you know what, They've got a quarterback, so maybe they're trading that pick, so we'll see. Yeah. Oh yeah, I'd be excited. That's the wild card that Bear's jumping on so much stuff, all right, they are anyway, with that in mind, Yeah, with all that in mind. Wow, Oh

yeah, they're doing our job. Actually, it's actually pretty nice the next few days. Not a lot changing chilly this morning, but we'll go into up sixties, low seventies, load to mid seventies tomorrow, and there's a lot of sunshine. The morning low is leading to be a little milder Thursday, upper seventies, somebody might hit eighty, and then upper seventies, maybe eighty Friday with some showers, and then maybe some showers again by Saturday night

and Sunday. So it stays mild. That's the trend and mainly dry till the end of the week and the weekend. Don't see the big rain right now or no severe weather, So I'd say enjoy today, Tomorrow, Thursday gonna be real nice into the first part of Friday. All right, thank you, sir. We'll talk in an hour and then come back. I got a couple of stories. I'm gonna stick quick little segment here, and then Senator bud he joins US eight o five, Hang on your a little

NFL discussion there. Yeahah, there's a story out of Jordan Jee Like you think you have a crazy act, just wait for it. Uh, first you grab a call Michelle, what's going on? Hey, Kasey just want me. He just wanted to say, hey, Uh, I am happy. I am happy that we got rid of Brian. But Brian burns because he didn't want to be at Carolina. He did not want to be there. I think the bigger thing that they need to do is son Frankie Luv because he was a he was he wants to be there and he put forth

the effort. And I'm sorry that Kirk Cousins is in Atlanta. That makes me sad because I think he will be good and will elevate them well, you know, whether they'll be super good at the very least that you know that division is in a very tough spot. Obviously if you look at all the teams records for the last couple of years. Uh, here's the thing with Brian Burns, and you're gonna be a little more plugged in. And obviously he's a Carolina fan. I watch it, you know, because I

talk about it. But I and I don't mean this in a bad way. I think there's a lot of players who don't want to be in Carolina and because because not because of the fans or because of no I totally understand. I mean, what are you going to do with the owner? Yeah,

that's it. They look at they look at Captain tassa drink there, and they also look at you know, the some of the most beloved Panthers going out and going to other teams and and dominating, right, and and you and then you have to ask yourself, when we had these guys, why not this, which is a bit of a loaded question still it's it's tough so but he's still a really good player. And Panthers they they should taken the offer from Los Angeles. That's where they messed up last year.

You know, he didn't want to be there as the more to the first round. No I hear you, I heard all right, mi seure, I gotta I got yeah. No, that's that's one hundred. That's another thing that will blow your mind and say, well, if you're planning on doing this, why'd you do or not do the other thing? You think you're being strategic or something. Now we just look dumb cac O Day Radio

program and uh we have been just inundated with all things politics. Obviously well last week, I mean you got you know, elections and uh the state of the Union and it's uh, it's it's ramping up. Is now we have a seven point three trillion dollar budget proposal. Now it's the White Houses, so as much water as that carries. But we're going to get into all of it. Let's welcome onto the show, Senator Ted Budd. How you doing, sir, Hey doing great? Thanks for having me on.

So uh, first, blush, you feel like raising tax on corporations and the wealthy five point five trillion which will totally not get passed on to me? Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Yeah, I mean you think about making life better for those that come after us. This is not the way to do. It's the way to run businesses off our shores. You know, we're trying to bring things from China to hear right, We're trying to nearshore and reshore, and this is certainly a way to push them away, push them to

Mexico, push them in other countries. Not a good idea. Where is the braak? Like I was talking about this a little earlier and I said, there are visible breaking points California obviously, I mean you look at you look at the folks getting out of there and not just Elon or any of the rest. But like there's a reason U hauls are, you know,

ten times the price going one way or the other. France, I remember when France did the ninety percent for the for the top earners, and like I think that actor Deb Pardue held a presser that day to say he was leaving. So when you talk to business is and and I mean real deal, you know, just sitting down and everyone's like, I have to assume anyone in the upper echelon of a successful business, big company, like they got to be like gaming this in this, like you know, figuring out

Okay, if this happens, then we do this. Do we know? Like, is there are there? Is there research? Is there stuff that you're privy to where like you for every tax increase of one percent, we may lose ten percent of new investment. Like are there stats out there? Because I don't think there's a I think that there needs to be specific stats out there rather than just the generic to push back on this is what I'm

saying. Yeah, this has been tried before, and I'm not thinking of stats or papers, and we can get we can certainly get all that stuff, and it does exist. There are groups out there, you know, of all different political stripes that calculate this. But we've seen it for real in North Carolina. And what I'm thinking about is a luxury tax that people, uh that was implemented in the early nineteen nineties, and it was a horrible idea. It sounded great. I think this was under an early Clinton

administration. It may have been you know, the no new taxes that George H. W. Bush went back on and agreed to that ended up killing his presidency. But the boat builders, and this was like taxing high end cars. It was taxing anything over a certain amount. It was boats, et cetera. It killed the industry in east eastern North Carolina. And we kind of realize at the end of the day, these are people showing up the sand, fiberglass, paint, do electronics. These are hard working people

and it killed blue collar jobs all around North Carolina. Now the Democrats may sound feel like they, oh, wow, we tax people for their luxury item that only hurts the rich. Look, it hurts all of us. And the false narrative of these taxes are that it hurts the rich, or it hurts the rich, soaks the rich, as AOC would say it, and it helps the port It doesn't. We're all in this to get That's

why the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Casey. That was in twenty seventeen, the lowest quartile of earners were the fastest growing population as far as wages, they were earning or increasing more than anybody else in the economic spectrum. Those are the bottom quartile. So tax cuts, while it may not sound good politically, actually help people across the board. Yeah, and the canard of it's some version of this, why should a ceo pay the same taxes

as a nurse? Well they don't one if you're talking income tax, and obviously capital gains for the nurse and capital gains for the CEO or taxed at the same rate. But I guess my disappointment ted lies with how easily that is debunked and then how much I see it parroted. And to your point, one of my buddies owns the last boat that was ever made, one of the manufacturers in wan Cheese. You've been to wand Cheese, Right,

that's a different that's a different crowd. That's great man. But you're saying it correctly as well. Thanks for saying properly. Well, yeah, because I went there and I was too terrified to mispronounce it. Uh, that's like that's a salty group of good, down to earth people and and they're not they're not here anymore. And I remember when Republicans push back on that

with later budgets, it turned into the Tom Tillis yacht thing. Remember, like that was the attack on He's just trying it for yachts because there was also a yacht tax thing discussion going on. And it's just it's just so disingental. I can't even dwell on that. Let's go. Let let me get back to uh the last week here State of the Union? Man, I I are we ever going there's gonna be yelling for every single state of the Union going forward? Is that just where we are? Because I feel

like that's where we are. Yeah, how about that hour and twelve minute lecture. Did you appreciate that we'll get to the tenor we'll get to the tenor of it, but for sure, But like it's like this, we now had people yelling at the last three presidents during the State of the Union. I feel like this is our new normal. Yeah, it's Look, it's it's wild times people are That really reflects what people are feeling all around

North Carolina, all around the country. They're very frustrated with leadership and so the House, especially because we're the House was elected every two years and so there's a lot more turnover, but it really by our forefathers design is reflective of how the people feel. It's more slowly in the Senate, it does turnover over time, but you know, people are frustrated out there. They're

ticked off at government. They don't feel like it represents them. They feel like there's a two tier justice system, and so that's you know what you may not like that MTG yelled, that's what people are feeling. You know, I'm more like, all right now the housecum Yeah, I'm sure it wasn't just sure it was also and we'll talk about the gold Star Father too,

but so like there were two people for sure. Yeah. Yeah, it's heartbreaking because you know, you lose somebody, then you feel like what uh, you know, you've got thirteen service members over there, most of which were Marines, and then you've got you know, it's just heartbreaking the fact that that was a that was Biden's own fault, I mean, his withdrawal, and that's that's what telegraphs so much of the instability that we're having

right now around the world, whether it's Ukraine, whether it's China, sword rattling in the South specific. It's just that that weakness started at what that fo that gold Star father was protesting over no question, no question. Yeah, that's uh, I don't I understand. I understand the father. This is this is the thing I wasn't just talking about MTG of about and it's

and I think it's a I think it's how polarized we are. And you know, frankly, if we're going to do this, you guys should either go full British Parliament, which is a whot to watch, right, just everybody yelling at each other. I'm not sure it's great to live, but it's fun to watch. Fun to watch, that's all I said. Probably not great to live, but it's my entertainment, Senator. That's that's what

I'm concerned about. But yeah, and then if you guys want to start beating each other with canes again, right then just boom pay per view. But the problem, here's the problem I have. If you remember, Trump was yelled at by one of the Parkland parents during his State of the Union when of his State of the Unions, and it wasn't handled the same way. And it's like because they they actually this dude caught a charge the gold Star dad here last week they charged him, right, are they ticketed him

or whatever? When they removed that guy for yelling at Trump. They just removed him, which is fine, But it's like, now, once again, why do we have a double standard here? Am I missing something with this? Is there new rules or something? Yeah, it's just a different time. And first of I think they're so protective of President Biden because if he gets off scripts, you can see how poorly it goes. If it was a total of ninety seconds off script during his speech, it wasn't a

good ninety seconds. He has to do apology tours for saying the wrong words off script. And you know, Trump is certainly much more adept and half about a third of his speech is off script, just engaging with the audience. And whether it's you know, at a rally or whether he's talking to you as an individual, it's much more with it. And I didn't see

that with President Biden. But it's a very different tone. One of the other things I saw was that there's usually like a fifty dollars fine for those who disrupt a meeting to Congress. I'm like, wait a minute, this is like Washington Post saying this, I'm like, do you not see the irony here? Do you not see the hypocrisy of somebody interrupting State of the Union. But if somebody, you know, and it was a bad day on January sixth, let's not let's not forget how bad a day that was

for so many people. But the punishment and now they're walking back some of the sentencing that they've done for this. And then Washington Post or whatever maybe it was New York Times said fifty dollars fine usually for disrupting Congress. Yes, a lot of hypocrisy there. When I learned. I learned about this, and in fact, I talked to you the very same day that I

learned about it, because I was doing my Washington DC broadcast. Remember the dude dressed as a big prophylactic that photo, Yeah, that was the Kavanaugh hearings. Trying to block it. I went through a lot of therapy. Casey, now you've ruined it, so you know what you need to tough

enough, man, you need to so so. But if you remember that was during the Kavanaugh hearings and you had the handmade tales, handmade whatever ladies outside and then every two minutes some moonbat has starts screaming bloody murder, and you had to ask yourself, well, how do they keep getting in there?

Right, that's so weird. But they they literally had fifty dollars in their pocket because they knew that that charge, which was a parading charge or one of the others, but all but charges that were among those of the January sixth folks. They knew that. In DC, they had this streamline process where you could literally bond on it and pay it immediately, right because there's just so many protests up there. It's so you do the fifty dollars

and then they literally cut you loose. In fact, one of the people who paid and it was cut loose got back into the Kavanaugh hearing. And that double standard is so when you learn that, and I talked about that on the show with this dude, it blows your mind to see how blatant that it is. So, but let's let's talk about the substance of the speech. Yeah, yeah, this this whole narrative that I'm president of all the people except half of you who were racist, bigot white nationalists, that

that vibe was vibing. Man, that's That's how I was reading it. What about you, Yeah, I mean it. He's trying to look it's an election speech for him, but he's trying to flip. He's playing this game maslighting thing when it comes to owning the border crisis and saying how good he is on this issue, which people don't believe. I say what, there are some out there that actually will be fooled, fooled by his speech to think that he's being responsible here. He's not dealing with the fact that

inflation is up eighteen percent since he took office. He's not dealing with the fact that it's more expensive when you're pushing a grocery cart and you're trying to feed your family or you're trying to put gas in your pickup truck to go to work. That's not the stuff he's talking about. Not talking about the fact that, as we mentioned just a minute ago, with the weakness in Afghanistan and all the global problems that have been initiated because of his weakness.

So he completely tried to distract and dissuade people from even thinking about the real issues that are driving the world right now. I want to pivot over to one of the issues for just a couple questions here at the end, Z I really well, and I'll see where you're at. I really don't understand stuff like this. So we're talking about hitting people with canes. So if I'm in the country illegally or I guess maybe even legally, you can talk to the substance of it and I say, hey, you know what I'm

gonna I'm gonna go. I don't know whack these police officers until they're in a coma with this. That's not a deportable offense right now, because I saw that you literally proposed to build a make I just assumed if you violently assaulted police you were here illegally, there might be consequences. Help me out here, because there's nout. Yeah. So so look, people elected me, you know, to use whatever leverage I have as a US Senator to

do what I said I was going to do. And so this was in particular last week the Police Act. So my Police Act it says, if an illegal alien commits the crime of assaulting a police officer here's he must be subject to immediate deportation, no exceptions for loopholes. The problem is these these a lot of these liberal appointed judges. They have discretion over what's sentencing and they can they can leave. They don't even have to sentence them. And

so what we do is we remove that discretion. We say, you know what, the sentence is automatically deportation if you assault a police officer or launch you know, any first responder that includes firefighters, emergency workers e MT so they're they're deported. And this is this is a huge problem, and the Democrats didn't want to take it up. Now I've got some promises, some some uh uh, some peaky promises from the from the left. They're going

to stick it into uh next week's legislation. Remember that these budgets have been stuck and these funding bills have been stuck into two parts. Mike Johnson split it apart, Part A, Part B. Part B isn't a week and a half from now. So I'm trying to get my language, which I've just described, into next week's legislation. And we're we're pretty sure it'll get

in there. But again, we've got to use every bit of leverage we can to do some common sense, uh, common sense legislating, including protecting our police one hundred percent and uh look, I Republicans right now are winning the public on the unchecked immigration and the border problems. Right. It's really hard when mayors of these leftist cities are screaming bloody murder because they got two days worth of what Eagle Past, Texas gets right that it went in their

metropolis. If only Republicans don't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And I say that with that border monstrosity attached to the spending monstrosity, which were then split and then they only did the one thing. Are Republicans going to come back with a substantive thing and be non movable if they don't get border? Are we going to government shut down? Because you guys are winning the narrative. Man, I'm very optimistic. Again, we have snatch to mature

from the Jalapa feet or the other way around. But you know, and screwed things up. But what I like is the turnover that you saw at the r NC yesterday. I think Trump is he is will be the key messenger moving forward from this week all the way to November fifth, and he is getting things in alignment to make sure we are consistent on our message. And we just keep hammering them on the things you know that they're doing wrong, and that's primarily the border. That is what is on people's mind.

Look, when I ran two years ago, the issues are largely the same. It's inflation, crime, which is the border, which is Fentanyla, which is overdoses, and then education which is kind of that woke left movement. So it's really these same issues that you're going to see in twenty twenty four, except it's going to have a lot more national attention because there's a presidential race going on, and so if we stick to the issues, we'll

win. I got, I got one minute. I just have to ask this, is there a minimum requirement for Senator Bud's vote for what a border bill must contain? Just a couple of things that happened. Oh, we've got to have a huge thing, you know. You got to you got to have remain in Mexico, you got to have you got to eliminate these loose asylum laws. I have got a stack of things right here. You know, we got to reform a credible fear. There's this statutory withholding part.

You know, we got to talk about how the agencies handle this when the claim is heard. You know, when can these people be removed? We youve got to turn off the magnets on this side of the border that started from one hundred and ninety some country. People start flowing here, and you gotta, you gotta start deportations, as you know, you gotta you got to send people back and that that's that's what you gotta. I mean, you've gotta be you gotta do what your laws say. I hope that

you got I only about tense. I hope. I hope you guys stick to and it's got teeth and we'll be watching. Senator I appreciate it. Okay, God blessed. Thank you, uh he is thirty six. Thank you to Senator Bud for hanging out with us for a few minutes there and uh not immediately rejecting the idea that he and his colleague you should be able to beat each other with canes for my amusement. So there's there's that.

That's just that's where we are, man, It's where we are. But you know, what is the what does the actual sausage look like once it's produced? I hope all the stuff he was talking about and it'll be it'll get fat tooth and nail, and it'll be you're trying to jail kids or you know whatever canard is out there. But something you gotta do something. And I hope that something is substative, so subs I can't even say that word. I hope it's it does stuff. There you go like I've been

whacked in the head with a cane. All right, couple of other things. By the way, Where is this? Yeah, here we go. So that gold Star Dad that I referenced with the Senator Steve Ncau, who is rest a Tuesday night for disrupting President Biden State of the Union, says he doesn't think he dishonored his son. He said, my goal was to get Biden to acknowledge his son and twelve other service members who were killed during

the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. That was his only goal. And he said that following hearing the pre if you listen to the cut in it, he says, the President is talking about how safe everything is. Oh, He's made things so safe, and this guy's like, I don't know, I can think of an incident, and rightfully so. Nikola said he struggled with

the decision of her whether or not to even attend. Who was he with Brian mast who's a Florida congressman, who had invited him, because if you remember the parents of not Lincoln Riley, trying to remember what the president's grew up was, but Lincoln Riley, they were invited, they chose not to attend, but they've had a lot to say following it. On the mom in a she was interviewed by one of one of the papers in DC, I can't remember which one, and she said that, you know, even

though they were keeping distance, it's too fresh all of that. She was absolutely when say, say her name was said, and then the wrong name was said, Mom came un court and understandably so. And then he, you know, the president went out and over the weekend was like, oh that you know, oh where I said illegal You mean the head where I said illegal. No, no, no, no, that's not the word I meant to use. And that, as you can imagine, was a blow as well. In fact, here is here is the president. I

shouldn't have used the legal as undocumented. And look, when I spoke about the difference between Trump and me, one of the things I talked about on the border was that is the way he talks about vermin, the way he talks about these people polluting the blood. I talked about what I'm not going to do. What I won't do. I'm not going to treat any any any of these people with disrespect. Look, they've built the country, the reason our economy is growing. We have to control the border and the country.

I mean, I don't share you at all. So you regret using that one? Yeah, okay, all right again the first thing I should have said illegal, they're undocumented in the just I'm sorry. Did the president Did Trump say something about polluting the blood? I mean, who knows? Maybe? So when I heard this yesterday when you were loading the audio, that was my first reaction. I'm like, what is he talking about? There? The vermin thing? I remember from the remember the MS thirteen sheriffs

thing. Remember he was literally being asked a specific question by the specific sheriff about MS thirteen and he remember referred to him as vermin and a few other things and people when he's calling all all the people from Latin America like they expanded it to the tenth power. So like, I understand that lie, but the blood things. So did you find anything on the I have no

idea what he's talking about, absolutely none. And the report the reporter sitting there, who arguably has a I would argue, should have a more expansive knowledge base of things that the president has said and members, because that is that is the core focus of what that reporter covers. At no point in his brain did he god pluting the blood? When did when did your predecessor say that, mister president? And I mean, that's the logical follow up

question. Just lets it go roll and buy there. So yeah, I feel I feel so terrible for those parents. But that mom like she's trying to stay away because of the emotion involved in this tragedy, that is that that totally preventable tragedy which has befallen her family. And while the community is rallying around, I don't know if you saw some of the memorial events,

Uh, it's everybody in athletes, everybody straight up damn near everybody. There's probably some bitter professors who didn't show up, whatever, But and that's it is good that she has folks and and the family has folks around them that were so to then hear further up the food chain, the president of the country in which you live, who didn't know your daughter's name even though it's been the massive news story or a massive news story. I'm sure it's in

the briefing. I'd be blown away if it wasn't because of the federal implications there. And all we get is apologizing for using the word illegal and what was the other thing? Oh and activists U telling demanding that people not hijacked say her name. This is a thing, by the way, this,

this is another thing that blew it away. So the time a couple of the activists associated with the Women's March and the Times Up thing are blasting Republicans for taking the hashtag because I guess it's their hashtag they own it, of say her name and using it for what it wasn't intended for. And that last line stuck with me. What it wasn't I understand that you're that the

Times Up movement specifically was about protecting women at the core. Found that's what I was told at the at the at the very basis level, this is about protecting women. And if that is your stated goal, how do you make a statement saying that people who don't want college students walking on path on a nice, you know, springish evening to get and if you read the description of how the killing took places, it's beyond gruesome. What about protecting

that woman? Like the amount of politics up in this is just bonkers, man, But CNN luckily has come up with a way to flip the script and push Biden to a resounding victory. I'll play this audio in the last segment, but let's get raised agic first from the Weather Channel and we had a little pizza discussion. Do you hear what's happening in New Orleans? Man?

I did not? Oh so apparently the police headquarters in the substage, like everything's just rotting in these buildings, which is a bit of a private New Orleans is musty anyway, just do the humidity and the water table and all that. So I get that. But they're like, yeah, so the electricals alien wolls are falling in, the camera system shuts down. Rats came in and ate all the cocaine in the locker. Steps are falling up like goodness, So you got cut. So either one of two things happened.

You have a pack of cocaine rats, that's not good, or two really did the rats eat the cocaine or yeah, so I don't know if you do a hit with the talker down in New Orleans. But no, not not daily not okay, we are we are affiliated. But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, Well I guess we'll just have to speculate. But again, what happened. Yeah, it's so weird. But I'll let you speculate. On the weather. Yeah, well, yeah, it's kind of an easy one. I mean, it's it's

nice to ease back into it after a week off. Plenty of sunshine that's gonna take us over the next few days, so it's outdoor activities the mornings we'll leave. Start getting mild there this morning, a little chili out there, I mean even to the west. There's some twenties out near Ashville and into the mountains. Most of us in the thirties, starting to get into the forties eventually the upper sixties and low seventies this afternoon and mostly sunny.

High pressure will hang on through tonight and tomorrow and again on Thursday. As sun will be back. The nighttime lows will be in the forties. Daytime highs tomorrow approach the mid seventies. By Thursday. We could approach eighty in some spots, and then Friday we'll watch a disturbance come in that can bring

some afternoon showers. Then that system shall pass and we should get a pretty decent Saturday partial sun low to mid seventies, probably around seventy four, and then as we begin to Saint Patrick's Day on Sunday, we may see just a few showers. It doesn't look like a washout. But I did look between last hour and this hour, Casey, about early next week. I never know, a little cold shot trying to get in here. How cold.

Well, I think we're gonna see numbers drop back down below normal, especially after Monday, and maybe some frosty nights coming up at least for a day or two. So I'm keeping eye on that. All right. I guess we're slipping back. You were making so much progress, so yeah, briefly, Okay, all right, Well chat tomorrow. Have a go one and Jeff Bellinger joins us. Next hang on, Jeff Bellinger joining us. Jeff, what's happening morning, Casey. A last month's increase and the overall

cost of living was right in line with forecasts. The consumer price index was up four tenths percent in February. The core CPI, though, which omits volatile food and energy costs, was also up four tenths percent. That was slightly bigger than a bigger than expected increase. Stock market futures, though taking it very well. They're higher right across the board now S and P futures up twenty six. Nasdaq futures or up one hundred and thirty three points.

Now futures are up seventy seven. High prices and borrowing costs taking a toll on the nation's small business operators. The National Federation of Independent Business reports optimism among owners has fallen to the lowest level in nine months. The NFIB's chief economist, Bill Dunkelberg says inflation pressures have eased from their peak, but costs are still elevated. The share of businesses planning capital expenditures in the coming months

is the smallest since April, and fewer businesses expect to hire. The Body Shop has shut down all of its stores in the US. The UK based cosmetics chain filed for bankruptcy earlier this month and says its American subsidiary is no longer operational. JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie diamond was heard from today. He says the possibility of a recession is not off the table, and he says the Federal Reserve should hold off on infrast rate cuts. Diamonds spoke by video

link to a business summit in Sydney. Comcasts filed a federal lawsuit against several call center operators. The cable company charges that center employees pose as Comcast representatives and attempt to get money from Exfinity broadband customers. The suit says phone calls and text messages attempt to get Comcast customers to pay for bogus services, discs, count plans, or equipment upgrades. TV audience for Sunday Nights Academy Awards

telecast was the biggest in four years. Nineteen and a half million people tuned into ABC for the Oscar ceremony and KSE Home Depot has a new three year deal with the nc DOUAA. The company plans to launch a marketing campaign tied to March Madness. We'll be seeing that very shortly. Casey oh, there's a lot of crossover like bricks, right, you know, sell bricks there and bricks a term in basketball, So Okay, we see, and we got the ACC tournam a getting ready to do its things, so can't wait.

All right, appreciate it, sir, Thank you. Okay, Casey, talk to you tomorrow. Yep, there you go. Jeff Bellinger, Oh, I forgot to ask the senator which ACC team he's rooting for, because that would be smart of him to answer. Okay, what is this? What is wrong? Seriously? What is wrong with you? I'm gonna I'll squeeze this in. And I I was mentioning CNN had has some advice on how Biden can beat Trump. I don't don't have time to chop it all out. I'll just let me just tell you what she said, so

if you. Kras Swisher is a CNN contributor and is referred to as a renowned political strategists. She's worked on some pretty high profile campaigns. Whatever. Now she's on the get paid to opine thing, which is fine. So they bring her on to CNN yesday and they're like, hey, you know, here's some of the polling because CNN did it their own poll yesterday or two days ago and then released it yesterday and it wasn't great for Biden.

So they're talking about that, and Swisher tells the panel, the renowned political strategist, that all Joe Biden needs to do is every time he goes and gives a campaign speech, does an event, takes questions, whatever it is, and his capacity as a candidate, what he needs to do from day one to election day is refer to Donald Trump as a rapist, a racist and or a fascist and just do it over and over and eventually that that'll

work. So groundbreaking, absolutely groundbreaking. You guys should also call him orange oh and uh and uh uh drump for whatever the hell that was. Yeah, yeah, I go with that, or cheetah Leani what was? I had some favorites too. I don't mind he gives nicknames. I don't if people are humorous. If it's humorous nicknames, then I'll laugh at it. At Cheatahleani's funny. So yeah, I should go with that. That amuses me. Ah. I think you guys got it all figured out, so

absolutely stick with that. You would think that not that the TDS would be tempered, but at least it would evolve or TDS, excuse me, would evolve. You know what I'm saying. We're like, we hate so much, and this is the way that we chose to hate. But instead, let's hate differently and see if that works. I guess, I don't know. There should be a hate strategist
