All right, good morning everybody. It is six o eight here on the Case Yo Day Radio program, Tuesday edition. If I had to rank them, just the you know, just out of sheer enthusiasm for the effort. I think the boat the boat jump challenge might be my new favorite in the realm of really really dumb ideas with darwindow stick effects. So if you're not if you're not familiar with this, I was not until I read about it yesterday. Thumbs up for stupidity on the TikTok so um Ross. Had you
seen the boat jump challenge? No, no idea what that is? Well, it's in the It's in the prep packet, yes, But I mean, had you seen it prior to that? As I did not see it in the prep packet. Oh okay, you know what I wonder if I didn't send it in the prep pet. Oh you know what, I didn't send it in the prep packet. That's one hundred percent on me. Allow me to explain. You could have just lied to me because I'm at the
point like dry dude, I'm like super hot and nauseous. I was like loopy am I pulled over, So you could have just totally lied him. Like, Okay, I was totally in the prep back dude, No was in there. No, I just realized I saw it after and I'd emailed it to myself, but I didn't send in the prep all right. So so the boat jumped challenge has nothing to do with cruise ships, by the way, yet maybe it should. Don't know, has already killed four people
just in the state of Alabama in the last six months. And it goes like this, Uh so you're on a boat, uh you know, like a ski boat or a bass boat or something, and you're cooking along the water and um, then you jump or backflip off of the speeding boat while it's you know, cutting through at forty knots or whatever, and you make a video of it obviously, and that you know, you end up in the water. The problem is it's a really good way to break your neck
or knock yourself out and then you drown. And yet that's a challenge on the TikTok and it's like it's like there's a competition for this stuff to just get more. Honestly, I think people are trying to reverse the effects of modern society as it pertains to how we used to genetically weed out the stupid, and I don't know that I'm one hundred percent against that. You know,
I've told you. I've told you about the story I saw years ago where they were trying to figure out why you had a stagnation of measurable IQ in certain commune unities that were advanced communities, you know, first world kind of stuff. And you know, basically, we make it really hard to die if you're stupid, or make it harder to die, people still find ways. And you know, whether that's one hundred percent the reason, I don't know, but it you know, it tracks. It makes sense right.
Used to be, you do something dumb and your your your bloodline doesn't move forward. Right. All you had to do was, like I don't know, Forida River in your attempt to get to Oregon, and uh, you're going, that's that. You're done. Now. It's it's incredible what you can do and still eventually reproduce. It literally is the opening scenes of idiocy. See, so that's the challenge. Now. I will tell you a challenge that I do find amusing but I don't understand is the Grimace challenge.
Are you familiar with that either? So it has to do with the Grimace shake at McDonald's and then people buy the shake and then all of a sudden there's like a cut scene and it looks like a horror film murder mystery where people are dead and I guess the premise is the Grimace murdered them, right, And it's mostly just people lying on the ground having poured the shake over their body, and you know, appearing to be in a horror movie. All right, whatever, weird, but so of it's pretty entertaining.
This, on the other hand, this is something special right here. Jim Dennis of Alabama is Schildersburg. I don't know exactly where that is. Rescue Squad says it's led to four easily avoidable drowning deaths. It's a big concern. We've seen this pattern emerge over the last two years. It's a bit sporadic, but apparently it's picked up a little bit of steam. In one instance in February, father died while attempting the challenge in front of his wife
and three young children. So there you go. I this I know, being somebody who you know previously decided hey, you know, it'd be a good idea and totally not something that just devastates your finances. I should get a boat. So in this case, I co owned a boat with somebody, and there's a reason stance for a breakout another thousand. But it was a ski boat, a wakeboard boat. And you know, I don't care whether you're skiing or wakeboarding or you're in that giant inflatable tube or whatever.
You're getting tugged along in the water. Once you're about out twenty seven thirty knots, you know, which is an appropriate speed to do that. That water feels a bit concreteish when we hit it. So in this case, they're cooking along and they're not even at speed. Do you know what I'm saying, right, they're not. There's no there's no inertia so to spit. I mean, they're at speed, but they're not. I don't even
know how to describe it. So when they hit the water, it looks horrific, more so than just me, who was never any good at water skiing or wakeboarding. But you know, I could send a tube until it like launches in the air and then you know, throws the individual off. In this case, they're literally doing backflips into this stuff. So um, yeah, I didn't know that was a thing. Now I know it's a
thing. And between that and the Board Challenge whatever, I guess, um, you know, maybe we'll reverse some of those uh those IQ effects. I don't know. The Board Challenge, by the way, has nothing to do with Star trek Um. What is this, dude, dude? Okay, well, apparently one of our listeners did the h did the challenge and survived. Okay, well, I'm not saying everyone dies. I just it
doesn't seem incredibly smart. The Board Challenge, by the way, is when they get the big jug of water with the caffeine flavoring and the electrolytes, and then they pour a whole bottle alcohol in there, and then they got a chug the milk jug full of it, which you know reportedly allows people to drink but stay hydrated. But that's not how that works. You just overwhelm your system. So yeah, I want to know who's just sitting around
coming up with this stuff. Uh so far, what is this? Two dozen University of Massachusetts and her students were actually hospitalized following the Board Challenge just earlier this year. Well that's nice, dude, this is yeah, I'll tell you what this this is? This is China right here, because it's all it's on this TikTok stuff and it's not just that you've seen it on YouTube and other stuff, but um, this is a weapon of war.
Man. I got to assume there's a bunch of brainiacts sent around in China going hey, you know what, here's how we'll attack the American populace next and then boom, you get yourself one of these challenges. What did the chiefs? He says. You know, people when they're being filmed on camera tend to do things that are do something stupid to show off, but they don't need to be on camera. It's the hey y'all watch this factor.
But yeah, that was a little something my laid eyes on yesterday, and I'm like, you know what, why not go ahead and do it? How fast was the boat going here? Oh well it's a competition ski boat, so I thought they were cooking along. Man. All right, well, don't do that. If you listen to the show, I'd like you
not to do that. But you know, if there's people you know they're dumb and don't listen to the show, then I don't know, maybe show them a video, or or suggest they listened to the show and then we'll welcome them in. All right, coming up on said show, we got lots to get it. Well, let me do this, because it's six seventeen. I'll give you a little rundown of where we're headed this morning.
We gotta say we got a lot of weird celebrity stuff, so we'll get into that here in just a bit, six eighteen Hang on Smart Talk all day, four five WPTI in the Triad and one oh six one FM Talk in the Triangle. Well, look, here is a guy in the news. Obviously doesn't listen to the show, or he would know better than this. He would know better. A man at Kentucky has announced that he found over seven hundred Civil War era coins buried in his coin field. They're gold
and silver, dude, you gotta shut up on this stuff. Being referred to as the Great Kentucky Hoard, it includes hundreds of US gold pieces dating between eighteen forty and eighteen sixty three. In a video the man, of course posted, although he did not disclose his identity or specific location, he says they're all one dollar gold coins, twenty dollars gold coins, and ten dollar gold coin. Well, that's what they're minute at either obviously probably worth
a lot more than that. Um. Let's see here. Yeah. So the rarest of the coins, and there's eighteen of them, are twenty dollars one ounce gold liberty coins from eighteen sixty three, which go for about six figures each, a minted by the US Treasury. Well, actually, you know what, I maybe he maybe they're not going to have a problem with it. I don't know. That's the whole legend, right, the Confederate gold everywhere. Let's see here. Um, just just you wonder how so
there's there's two theories on this stuff. Well I don't I don't know if it's a theory. One is more of a theory, um, and that is the Confederate government obviously had big cases of moneies that that were stolen and hidden as the war was coming to an end. However, as you were leaning into the Civil War, you had many in the South who buried cases of coins basically so they wouldn't get taken. Let's see here. That's yeah, all right, So this is actually the article quotes the one I'm thinking
of. Basically, the Confederacy. Confederacy was running around in Kentucky and it was a problem with them confiscating this stuff. Basically, you know, moneys for the war effort. In fact, one individual James lang Staff that was his name, left letters saying he'd buried twenty thousand coins on his property. There's another guy that claimed to burry eighty thousand. You go back and look at this stuff. But basically soldiers reportedly stole payroll and hid it in a
cave in Cumberland Gap too. So I don't know, I find this stuff fascinating. But yeah, if you if you dig up a button, shut up right, just say, oh, they've been in the family whatever. But once you get into that, I'm sure somebody will probably sue who the heck knows, Maybe the family have who ever owned the land prior to that. All right, six twenty six, let me give you just a rundown here. That's just weird, man. All Right, Here we go two
days in a row. My whole word document is just acting weird. And I even try to do an update on it. So I don't know if that's a Microsoft thing or whatever's going on. It just doesn't like when I scroll on the navigation pain all right, here we go. So um, I love I love them the amount of people that are dhard over this and have no interest, by the way, in living in this neighborhood. So there is a new neighborhood going up in Gastonia called the seventeen seventy six Gastonia
it's the name of the neighborhood, and they just completed infrastructure. It's going to have like forty some homes in it. They're going to start selling them here in the next few months. And as part of the rules, and this is interesting because the legislature here in North Carolina is actually they're looking at some HOA bills. As part of the rules, each home will be required
to fly an American flag in front of their homes. It's basically being included as an architectural element, which obviously are you know, the architectural elements in covenants in hias are not an unusual thing. But it's the fact that it's the American flag. They obviously want this visual North Carolina's most patriotic neighborhood any of the rest, and that's what they're going to require, and that that apparently is irritated people. In fact, w RL decided to do a story
about this complete non story. What is this guy's name? Doo? Could do? Do do? Anyway? The representative said, each resident will be given flags upon moving in and we'll have agreed to display in front of their homes at all times. But it's not any political party. See, this is where this is breaking down. They're claiming basically some sort of weird Republican thing. All right, we'll get into more of this and much more coming up. Thank you. Casey is one f w PTI in the Triad and
one on six one FM Talk in the Triangle. All right, good morning, it is six thirty five. Oh, here we go with this. All right, So, um, I don't know what was it. Just a few weeks ago we had the on Jeopardy where none none of the contestants apparently were familiar with the Lord's Prayer and that made the rounds. Uh what is this? So there was some sort of well it's a sports related question, you know. I could see all three people not being in on the
on the sports. Oh, they didn't know what Tommy John's surgery was, okay, and Yankees fans are mad, okay. Job A Chamberlain used the scar tissue from the elbow surgery name for this fellow pitcher as part of a smiley faced tattoo. All right, I didn't know any of this set Ross, You're you're a Yankees guy. Did you know any of this stuff? Some weird Yankees lore that I'm not familiar. I mean, I had the
surgery. I didn't know about that though. Okay, all right, I don't know why that's a news story New York Post, but apparently it's one
of the more popular ones. All right, So anyway back to this this um community Gastonia or seventeen seventy six Gastonia, the forty three home neighborhood with made order homes available for purchase over the next few months, will require as part of the covenant, as an architectural element, that each home fly an American flag in front of it. The residents will be provided the flags upon moving in, and we'll have signed the h O a green to display in
front of their homes at all times. Uh. What does Brock far of Fank Houser, who is the head of Great American Homes who's doing the development stress the community is not associated with any political particular political party. So people
were straight up angry over this. I actually I saw the story and I saw it first on Twitter, so I was seeing the Twitter comments under it, and and people the amount of people who have no interest whatsoever in living in this community will never purchase a home there, will never make an offer on a home there, don't even live in. The guests don't. Who are mad that forty three homeowners will sign on to a stack of HOA covenants and one of which is the requirement for the flag. Yeah, I agree.
Somebody just said somebody, some idiot who doesn't want to live there, will probably suit, probably right. You know. The irony is how many HOA stories have we done where some guy goes to he puts a flag up, and then the HWA is that you can't do that. You can't do it then and they'll find somebody for it, and then eventually becomes a news story because the homeowner takes to social media or whatever and the news shows up.
They're like, this guy says he's going to fly the flag, and the HIA says the flag's either too big or it's not allowed to be displayed out in front of the house. And then everyone takes sides. Here, don't move into the neighborhood. It's really simple and by far not even the dumbest ha thing that I think I've seen this week in the grand scheme of things. I wonder how much the homes are doesn't say in the story here, but in the article by w r L it's says it's quote causing quite
a stir, which is not inaccurate. But the amount of people that are just really mad about this is baffling me. I saw that, I saw I saw the headline and immediately thought it was just a you know, just a reaction to the Hua stories. That initial reaction, I'm like, well, that's probably what caused it, Like, we'll screw you guys. We're gonna have a whole neighborhood full of flags. Yeah yeah, well and that may be what that may be exactly. But also, um, you know
this company, uh this uh what is it? Great American Homes? They want to sell homes, right, so if they got some angle on how they think they can go ahead and sell these uh down around Charlotte, which is where this is. Who cares right and don't buy a home? Man? That used to be like a normal thing, though, I know on my street on my block, there's tons of flags. Bill has one, Marine has one down the street. Fong, she's a Vietnamese immigrant, right
flood Communism has a ginormous flag. Her son went in the Marine Corps. One thing that was funny for me to learn is because you're even growing up in Schenectady, we had tons of flags in the street. Right. That tends to be like an American thing. Like over in the UK, you don't fly your British flag like you do like Americans fly there there American flags. No, they think it's weird. Yeah, it's um and it's kind
of a European thing because it depends. It depends where you are. I will tell you though, Umu. In Colombian Ecuador, they had people had flags everywhere and it was weird. Like each of the cabs or the ubers that I was in, they would people. It was very popular. And I'm assuming the passenger vehicles it's a normal thing where they'll stick they're very proud of the flag and they'll have like a little mini flag on a suction cup
stuck to their windshield on the inside. And I think I just happened to notice it because it's like every vehicle I got in had one of those had one of their little flags, right, And I think that's a normal thing, right if if your country doesn't suck, you should be proud of it where you're from. And it used to be normal. Now it's like a political thing, like or you know, it's now associated with one political party, which is very telling. Yeah. We actually they would have two flags.
They'd have the so they'd have like the Columbian flag, and then they'd have a flag of whatever their favorite soccer club is. So but you know that's uh, that's that's you know, that's what's weird for us, right because you know, soccer is not a huge deal, even though they have the the big soccer the the Copada orro or whatever it's called going on all around the US right now. I was watching that in the news. US played Canada the other night or something, and they that takes one of the
one of the matches was in Charlotte and then Cincinnati and Dallas. Um. So, I mean there is some popularity to it, but you know it's just that's like religion, uh for folks in the in the countries where soccer is very popular. Um. And I saw it over in in Europe with people representing their soccer flags. But no, you're right, the Union jack was not a thing. I seem to remember though over there. Trying to
think in France there was a lot of people with flags too. It's been a while so yeah, no, no, no, in France they have the flags and the silly Napoleon hats. Like I would say probably five out of six people wear the Napoleon hat. Is that is that true? Is that that's something? Pretty sure? Yeah? Yeah, how many times you've been to France? Um? Personally? Yeah? Never? Oh okay, all right, but you know you just you learned that somewhere and was at
my gut. My gut is telling me that's true. If you lived in France, would you wear a Napoleon hat? I probably probably would, Okay, all right? Making sure here? Yeah so um so, I guess if you want to live in the neighborhood and you don't want to fly it, who know, you know what, some idiot will probably somebody will absolutely probably go in and when this thing's up, just out of sheer idiocy and go vandalized flags, you mark my words. Somebody's gonna go and they're gonna
be all but hurt learning about this. Even though it's a story now and it'll be next year before people actually move in, I could see somebody going in there just to be a jerk about it. Let me ask you a question, though, if you had to pick a neighborhood to go and like trick or treat in or whatever, that sounds like a neighborhood, you'd go to. Right. And also, um, and again I don't know what
the homes are gonna be. Um, I suspect that that's not going to be a shoot him up neighborhood either, right, not a particularly violent place. Dude, You're getting full candy bars in that neighborhood. You're getting full candy bars. And I suspect those are not homes you want to break into. If you're catching my drift, you know what I'm saying, Like, um, Like they're gonna be ready for you, is what I'm implying.
So you see, if you see big flag display in front of a house and you're a burglar, um, no, and you know what, here's here's the other thing and this is this was like I don't know, it wasn't required or anything. But especially when you get into like morde Key and five points in that area inside the belt line there, especially like morde Key,
they didn't have to have flags. But it's like, I feel like every single house like two years ago had the Black Lives Matter sign in front, and also that the one that's got like the we where it's got all the statements like we celebrate diversity here, we welcome blah. But you know that one with all the different colors on there, and I swear on in the one neighborhood, like every single home had it had those that the virtue signal was on. So I frankly, I those are probably the same people
that are mad at this, which is deeply ironic to me. All Right, so, um, this is getting a lot of buzz because there's a few different stories. The Axios had a story quote this is the headline, Old Yeller Biden's Private Fury, and basically they were talking about how he's got a really quick temper and the way that he deals with his staff is decidedly they say, it's quote decidedly different than how he is perceived or portrayed in
public. But I mean, am I the only one who remembers that video of Hey fat in him screaming at that dude who's hesking questions And there's been
like several of those. But the fact that you have what people see as more leftist outlets writing these stories and then New York Times calling the President out for not recognizing his seventh grandchild, and and then it just all of a sudden, a lot of people are theorizing that what's going on here is the media has decided that they're going to take it upon themselves to get Biden to drop out of the race. Let's see when is the optimal time for Biden
to drop out of the race? That's the headline from a recent piece in the in the Hill. But yeah, no, just to share this collective of stories here, But I thought it was interesting because I saw people who were then like defending the president screaming and his subordinates as um, you know, hey, he's just a guy who likes to get things done. He expects competency. And I was just was a laughing my butt off at that.
At no point they speculate, And sadly, this is something that I have I have witnessed personally in dealing with this within my own family, and that is as people's faculties begin to fail them, one of the normal responses is anger, and you know, and I understand it to some extent, right, it has to be incredibly frustrating to not have the mental recall that that you once did you ever been you ever been like tired, um,
and like you're just you're your your your brain's not turning on. It's irritating you. Like you're irritating yourself because you're trying to do something to remember something, and you just really So you take that and you multiply it by ten with people who are undergoing a change where um, whether it is dementia, Alzheimer's, or just you know, just not being able to perform in the way that they did. I understand how people are going to be frustrated.
And also one of the side effects is angry outbursts, So you know, for them to sit there and act like it's some coordinated marketing thing where he's he's he's you know, jolly Grandpa with the ice cream only in public and then just angry behind the scenes. The reality is there are multiple examples of him snapping on people, people asking even asking like legitimate questions during campaign stops. Or voicing criticisms saying hey this is I don't like how this is going.
What are you going to do about it? And then him losing his crape You try to fight that one, dude. So the fact that you have all of these these different media outlets that are now coming to this conclusion is is bonkers. But you have to ask yourself why now and why all of these collectives of stories. Is there a Democrat that is it has the momentum that, um, you know, where they could just step in and there would be a bit of a uniform support there. I'm not familiar with
who that is. You know, people say Gavin news Dowsome isn't declared candidate, So I don't and I don't know how Gavin Newsom wins a national election. I don't. I don't think that anyone coming out of California can sit there and claim to have their crap together when people see what's going on in
California. Man, you know, for all the grief that they want to give to santists, say well, look what's happening in Florida, Florida is simply not dealing with a lot of the issues that California is in California, did I Yeah, I did put it in the story. In California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has forbidden cities within their jurisdiction. So California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and is it Arizona as well well?
Whatever, But basically on the West coast they've now said that they can't remove homeless people from from you know, public I don't know. Did you see that ruling? This was over something going on in organ right, and you have this, you have a huge problem out there, and now you get these activist courts that have decided, well, no, you can't have ordinance against homeless people camping or sleeping outside. I'll give you in fact, let me do this. We'll take a break, come back, I'll give you
the details on this. It is the case O Day radio program. Hang on one oh six one FM Talk and ninety four five WPTI, two stations driving the best end talk. This is case O Day and Carolina's Morning News. All right, six fifty six here on the Kcoday radio program phone number eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four oh oh. We have
a viral racist d video with allegations of deceptive editing. All right, so we will um yeah, this one, Uh, this one feels a little like the city bank one or city bike excuse me, which you know as details started to emerge on that, obviously the narrative, the initial narrative looked a bit shaky. But again I don't know. We'll um grab that here and just uh in the next hour, Anthony, real quick, what's up? Oh, I've never been to France, but don't you said they fun
their flags? That they are? They all white flags? I mean occasionally that's the go too, obviously historically, but uh no, it looked to be the multicolored one, so from what I remember, So yeah, and then there was a lot of America because I because I went over to Normandy into all that stuff over there, so obviously there's gonna be a concentration of American flags in that general vicinity because they have the big cemetery there. But
um, yeah, I don't know. Maybe we'll send Ross on a field trip and he can tell us, Okay, sir, go eat, somebody gives some biguets or something. Be irritated. I pronounced it like dad, don't care, all right? Coming up a pool incident with a Karen Karen word being tossed around. We'll get the detail us on that in just a few hanging all right, you wanted everybody get seven every seven. Oh wow. Here on the case O Day Radio program eight eight eight nine three four
seven eight seven fours, we get things going in this hour. All right. I mentioned this story and then I didn't get back to it just because I was a little pressed for time. So let me hit it at first before we get into the uh, the latest Karen's story of the day, which may or may not include video that was deceptibly edited. I know that's hard to believe. Uh does anybody? Does anybody believe any of these viral
videos? I mean, they must because obviously they go viral and people immediately react, But like, how many times do you have to be bitten before you're like, yeah, you know what, I'm a wait and see, especially when I see like fervent support and you know, the outraged machine among um like New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, those kinds of those kinds of places, or on the other side where Fox News is all in. People are sending me the video and I'm like, I don't know about
that. Right, and if they're sending it with the with the response, hey do you see this? Fine? But it's just you know, between that and uh, where we're gonna get with AI and where we are getting with Aim. I don't even know how to hash through it all. I really don't. Um. What was the one that was sent to me? A bunch on vacation and it was a Biden one and it was pretty obvious
that somebody had edited it and they added sound to it. And because it and I don't know, maybe it's because um Ross and I are sound people that maybe we have an ear for that where you can you can just tell, um, you can just tell when stuff is not part of the original audio. But UM, i'll see if I'll see if I can find it,
I'll let you know which one I'm talking about. Anyway, back to this, So the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, remember these as the folks who, um, this is the district that is um based out of San Francisco. It is it is moonbats for days on here. Uh. These were the judges, including that judge in Hawaii who is who is part of this court? Um, who decided they were going to step in on trump stability to limit people coming in from in this case. Uh uh you know,
God quote unquote he was targeting Muslims. Remember all that insanity early on when it is specific and it's probably one of the easiest to understand laws out there that the president can dictate how that stuff is going to work. But very simple. He can. He can limit travel from any country that he chooses. He doesn't even need to tell you the reason. If you don't
like the lawn, then change it. But that's the law. And they just decided they were going to just do whatever they wanted to do and just kind of make it up as they went. Well, here you go again. So Grant's Pass, Oregon, like many West Coast cities, has a huge problem. There are homeless people all over the place and it has obviously it's an aesthetics thing, it's um it's a law enforcement thing. You have
a lot of drug use that goes along with this. Sadly, you have various crimes, and you have the inability of people to um basically utilize uh, these publicly funded areas in in the way that they were expected to be utilized. One of the one of the videos I did see is they have um uh wheelchair accessible beach access uh in in California, maybe we have some here in North Carolina. But the structures are these ramps that like jettison out onto the beach and then they have like, uh, you know, a
little patio area on the end of them. And basically it allows people that are in a wheelchair who want to go to the beach to get out to essentially the water's edge and um and and do so in a way that allows them to do it in their chair. Well, it also is a pretty
sweet little spot to set up your little homeless village. And so you have all of these structures that they built out there where people have just decided, well, that's my new house, that's my new yard, and the police can't do anything or they choose not to do anything based on local ordinance. Well, now you have this ruling that could hamper their ability to do anything
at all. In the Ninth Circuit, so the case was Grant's Pass and a lawsuit was filed basically because the police were saying, hey, you can't sit there and just decide that this park in the middle of town is your new house. That's not what it's there for and so as part of the lawsuit, they sued saying, well, we have nowhere else to go.
You can't do this. Well, the judges in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision decided that grants pass and therefore likely any other community under this court's jurisdiction cannot have ordinances against homeless people camping or sleeping outside in public areas because
it is a violation of the Eighth Amendment. Now, the Eighth Amendment, just as a reminder, is a prohibition on excess of punishment, which you know, this is not something that pops to mind when you start thinking about what was intended by Then the fines for violating the ordinances also violate the Eighth Amendment, the court ruled. So the act of removing them and then the issuance of any fines is think about what a leap that is, because it's
not just about homelessness at that point. Basically, what you're saying is if a government fine is issued to a person who does not meet a certain economic threshold, it is illegal. You know, LA just decided to go with cashless bail again, so we'll see how that works. But in this case, it's an Eighth Amendment violation. Judge Rosalind Silver wrote the court's opinion, declining to hear the case again, that the number of homeless people in grants
pass is higher than the available shelter beds. So they didn't even adjudicate just the case. They issued an opinion on why they are not going to because the lower court basically said they couldn't do it. But where they decided, no, that's good enough, and here's our reasoning, and then they listed the Eighth Amendment as the reasoning. There there are three conservative justice on the Appeals Court who slammed the decision, arguing that the Eighth Amendment by citing it
has hamstrong local authorities to do anything about the homeless problem. The irony, of course, is I mentioned the Ninth Circuit is in San Francisco, and if you look out any window in the Federal courthouse there in San Francisco,
it is surrounded by homeless people. So these judges are are literally waiting through this to get in there, and outside the windows of their courtrooms and their offices is rampant drug addiction there is they don't even conceal narcotics dealing that's going on outside of the building and severe mental health issues, which sadly go hand in hand with homelessness. And so basically the point is you can't you can't do anything about it unless you have another option for them, is what they're
saying. So if they want to remove homeless people, these cities will be required to essentially create housing for them. So again another giant leap there where somehow there is an obligation. You know, it's it's that housing as a right, garbage. Everything is a human right. If you listen to Active is housing, the guaranteed income, stuff, healthcare, all of it,
saying well, there is no other option. If there is no other option in the form of some government funded housing, then you can't tell people they can't camp in a in a in a public park, or in a public area, in the street, on the beach, wherever it is. But there is another option, right there, There is the option where people will
work to not be homeless. And I understand that's difficult, especially when you're dealing with mental health or addiction issues, but you know that that somehow people Yeah, I mean, if this is the case, um, I'm I'm gonna go live in Yellowstone Man all that natural scenery around. Oh, that would be amazing. Plus I could watch people go up and try to pet animals that will murder them in two seconds because you know, they weigh as
much as a car. So you know, I said, of my porch, watch that what's to stop me from, uh, you know, putting a cabin right in the middle of that mess. I mean that's the logic there, or you know, but getting one of those big outfitters tense and just living out there in in nature. That's what the court's saying. And
imagine if everyone decided to do that. Imagine if or uh you know what, uh Ross, I'm gonna you want to move the studios to right off the Blue Ridge Parkway or maybe right on the beach over in Deare County and the on some of the you know, the federal land there. I think that's a great idea we could have. We have one right on the Blue Ridge Parkway and then a beach house out there with no neighbors, right that big white open era area. We can we can grab us some wild horses.
Oh, it'll be fun. Will rodeo out there every day. It's gonna be amazing. That is that is literally the ruling that they just hand it down. So if this if this garbage, this will I'm telling you
this is one of those issues. This is now is the time to figure out a way to elevate this to the Supreme Court and get this handled, because that is not what the Eighth Amendment is about, not in the least, especially when you get into this stuff like tickets right where they're issuing tickets and they want to decide that your your income will dictate whether they can even
even give you a ticket. Think about how that plays out. So if if if you don't meet a certain threshold for money somehow any form of government fine doesn't apply to you, Well, holy hell, if you're if you're poor, speed man, do one hundred and twenty on I forty. I mean, that's the logic there, all right. Eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four The beach House of the mount Those are gonna be
amazing, absolutely amazing, because that's where you're at with that. And if you think about it too, think of how mad the moonbats would be if everyone just decided that we're gonna go do whatever the hell they want and build a house over in uh, you know, one of the national parks or something, or you know, some wildlife area. Oh, they lose their damn minds. But according to what this court is arguing, the government's not in a position to stop you from doing it. All right, we'll get
some we'll get some calls on that insanity. Um. Oh yeah, hold on, let me go, let me grab actually, hang on, let's just look to the clock here. It is a seven nineteen. We'll take a break, come back more on this and the Colorado Karen Pool incident or whatever it's actually being called. We'll get to that here in just a few On the k c O Day radio program, Your Day Smarter one oh six one FM talk and news Talk UPTI More with Casey starts now, uh CaCO
Day Radio program. Couple cancelations. I'm gonna be getting too here in short order. Hold on, any might cancel bell? Ah, here we go, excuse me, the taker bell. Yes, couple really racist things need to get canceled. Apparently, water and cameras. So yeah, yeah, if you're into water or cameras, bad news for you. Super racist. So we'll get to that in just a moment. We grab some calls here.
Jake, what's up? Hey, good morning. I was out caught me for many about four years ago, and they were camping out on the Santa Anna river bed, all the holes and everything, and they used, as they mentioned, to get them out like a legal breadon the public health because sant Anna river bed was used as a part of the watershed. Now, I can't imagine they have an apple amount of Orta bodies and all these parts in Oregon, but you guess they got to be going to the bathroom
somewhere and that could steep into the water. Systrom, they could probably use that a reason to extradite them. I well think, look, if once this court is identified as some sort of Eighth Amendment violation, they're gonna have
to fit. They're gonna have to adjudicate that somehow. So it's a pretty significant ruling in just in the sense that this is the opinion of the district court, because it will motivate whatever city officials think of doing, because you know, they don't want to implement something they think is not going to hold up in court. So um, yeah, I'm with you in fact. And thanks for the call there, sir. What was that I saw this
story? Yeah, here we go speaking about that a new report out says half of the state of New York's beaches have unhealthy levels of feces and are technically contaminated under state state guidelines. Half of New York's beaches contaminated with pop. That's the New York Post headline. That's awful. But yeah, I wonder what Californias are, man, because you're right, you gotta go somewhere, and we saw what was happening in the streets of San fran keeping you
connected. This is ninety four five WUFTI and the Triad and one six one FM Talk and the Triangle. All right, good morning, the Ideas seven thirty five coming up on the show in thirty minutes. So kicking off, I re number three. Senator Ted Buddles join us. There is a lot of meat on that bone. We haven't talked to him here in a few months, so it's been I don't if it's been a few months. Been a while though. We didn't talk to him at all last month, did
we And that was that was vacation schedule of all sorts of stuff. So we got we got all the all sorts of things to get into with the Senator. So that's coming up. Like I said, I in thirty minutes. Colright, couple of things real quick, and then we'll get back into some phone calls. Are one. The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals or excuse me, Eighth Circuit, Ninth Circuit, excuse me, is having to do with the Eighth Amendment has ruled against cities having the ability to remove homeless people
unless they can provide shelter for them. So and they're saying it's an Eighth Amendment violation. They're also saying that issuing punishments involving finds to somebody who is homeless also runs a foul of the Eighth Amendment. So with that logic, I guess if you want to go go set up shops somewhere on public property, you can just go ahead and do it and there's nothing they can do
about it. That's sounds like a recipe for disaster, but also means amazing new mountain and beach studios for the show, a big, big spread over on the National Seashore and one up on the Blue Rich Parkway. It'll be amazing. Absolutely. I mean, granted, I would like to think that this, you know, since we're not under the Ninth Circuit. That might be something that judges who are not trying to be activists might rule the other
way, and then maybe it goes up to the Supreme Court. But for now, if you're a city who wants to do this and you're not providing the shelter, it sounds like your hands are tied, which is just crazy to me. Also a video going back to the fourth of July, which shows an evil, horrible, racist white woman, according to the way that it's headlined in many of the stories, rating a poor innocent in this case Hispanic family for having a giant pool party at a community pool at a housing
if its apartments or the departments, condos or just how well whatever. So it's a pool, it's a community pool in neighborhood pool that's you know, that the residents are supposed to be able to use, and then there is a certain number of guests that they can bring with them. There's a video, and in the video it shows her berating them and at one point she says, you're having a Mexican pool party, or a Mexican party in a pool. And then there's a clip, I mean, there's a bunch of
clips in this. She also refers to whoever she's arguing with with the camera as trash and at one pool, and then she refers to them as low class. All right, So, I mean that's the gist of it. However, and then the video goes viral and then of course they're docxing her
and all of that, saying she's a big fat racist. So in an interview, she said the video is deceptively edited, and she says that her responses, she doesn't deny that's what she said, but her responses were because they were screaming things at her and U and referring to her as a as a white woman, and you know, they were making racist comments or or or race based comments as well, and they had they were having a party
that squarely violated the rules around guests numbers, making the pool basically inaccessible to most of the other residents there. Um let's see. Yeah. So, Featherman told The Daily Mail she was criticized by the group first after complaining they were breaking the complex as rules because the residents had too many guests at the pool, but says, obviously they were referring to her as white b word, and just so happened none. None of that seemed to make the video.
So again when you see this stuff now, and by the way, that's her side of the story. But it's clear the video is clipped right, it doesn't include the entire encounter, as we have seen, is the case with these and she claims at one point one of the women at the party pulled her hair so forcefully that the woman's artificial nail broke off, and that of course is not in the video. Police, by the way, we're called but didn't do anything to anybody. Yeah, let's see here.
Thordi has responded to the incident, but no criminal charges were filed. So if you did see that story, and I saw in a few places the there's apparently more to it, and it wasn't being included in some of the articles that were out there. By the way, how did I miss it? The home run derby was last night? I did not even know that. That is how little I pay attention to the Major League All Star Games since going back to the strike era. Manum and uh what was and what
was the other thing, uh that bud Selig did under his tenure? I don't know it was. There was a couple incidents where I'm just iround done with that and I like baseball, but I don't care about All Star Week, not at all. Although Ross, you're gonna start paying attention to baseball now, right this is when you? Uh, I mean, I guess, yeah, I haven't looked at the standings. I don''t know where the Yankees are right now. They just had the draft too, that's the other
thing. Nobody although I did see the Twins there. So basically they said there was five big time game changing players in the draft, and the Twins had the fifth pick and they took that the kid out of Wilmer, he said, at Wilmington or near Wilmington here in North Carolina. It looks like a stud. So, um, we'll see how that goes. So generally they'll develop him in their farm system. He'll get in, he'll be really good, and then for no reason whatsoever, we'll just trade him away.
So that's that's how we roll pretty consistently. All right. Back to the phones, here we go, Bob, what's up? Oh, I don't know. I was just thinking that if it's if, if there's a ruling that it's okay to have home us on federal property. I guess it's federal property since it's in front of the courthouse. They said they had to wade through that. Yeah. So so maybe if you have to entice them to get a new homage, Uh, maybe give him a ninety prescription for a
nine a supply of marijuana that could be filled in Washington, DC. Give him a nice little tent and a bus ticket, and let him camp out on the White House lawn. And yeah, luckily, sir, you don't need a prescription. In DC. They got they have like dispensaries everywhere you just go in and buy uh marijuana. Uh you know, I don't get them a couping. Yeah, they get a couping boy the I adam for that. Who've never heard of Ron White as who was crazy to me?
So but whatever. But if they try to move him, then, if they try to move them off the White House lawn or out from in front of the Vice President's house, then uh, wouldn't that be a violation of an equal protection clause if they them more than the check us? Well no, because literally, you know, there is a judicial standard where you can curtail rights under the Amendments. Um. Uh, you know they have to be reasonable and they have to be limited. I camemer what the term is.
So they would make a claim that it's a safety issue in that case, and the double standard would persist. But there's not a safety issue where they are mail apparently not apparently. Uh you know all over in Grant's Pass, Oregon, just littering all over the town and uh, you know, camping and drug use and and literal in San Francisco, drug dealing. That's visible. Everyone sees that it's going on. Apparently that's fine. So yep, yep, yeah, yeah, well that's it. You know, it
keeps us in business, that is full sure? All right, real quick, Ted, what's up? Yeah. My thoughts on this was the castless bail out there in Los Angeles and the homeless people bought out there. You can't do anything with them. I mean, there's not enough jail. Bad The judges cannot put somebody in jail if there's not a bed for him, so you can't lock them up. Yeah. I don't even think the intent was to lock him up. The intent was to simply enforce the rules against
literally camping in public in France pass Organ. Yeah, you can't enforce a rule if you can't punish them. Yeah, well you can't find them. You can't find them. And if you if you don't have housing for him, you can't move them. That's what the judges said, so correct, you can't find him. I think you can't get blood out of a rock. You know what I mean. I'm gonna have. I just know I'm gonna have a sweet beach house, sir. It's gonna be awesome. So
oh, I had one way to a hurricane. Get well, you know, since I won't have to pay for the land, it'll be fine. So you know what, I'd be great. Gave some money, all right, cool? Cool, Thank you appreciate it. Yep, yep, yep. Yeah that'll that'll. I mean you gotta pay for obviously, you know the construction supplies. But if you don't pay for the house, uh, more power to me, all right. Seven forty six race stag from the Weather Channel. No hurricanes. Uh we'll talk about yet. Um, but
you know the season is soon upon us. So what do we got today? Not much. Our service did put a statement out on the Patchee Fogg that in some spots it was pretty thick. So no advisory, but more of advisory. Just take it easy for run into that thicker fog, especially around the Triangle this morning. Other than that, most of us in real good shape the next few days, but getting hotter and starting to see the humidity creep up again. As it's actually pretty comfortable this morning in the mountains,
Casey, where we talked about yesterday, you'd love to be. There are some low in mid fifties and western parts of the state right now, some of that cooler airs trying to bleed east not having much luck. But the humidity is lower, near ninety today, close to ninety maybe above tomorrow,
especially for the Triangle with lots of sunshine. And I think Thursday will get another warm day with the humidity is starting to creep up and or at least a load of mid nineties for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, maybe even starting to see in the Triangle, especially some upper nineties with a showers thunderstorm chants coming in. So the hazy, lazy, crazy days of summer here and for the upcoming weekend and late in the week increased humidity and increasing temperatures.
All right, thank you, serve'll talking and I'll appreciate it, yep. And then we've come back. Like I said, we've got a couple couple of things need to canceling, not the big just you know, water and cameras because super racist. And that's according to New York Times. So we'll get into that much more coming up. K c O Day Radio program show. After the show is on the iHeartRadio app. Searchs k c O Day for the podcast on the iHeart radio app. All right, good morning,
seven fifty two. I say fifty because fifty cents has declared Los Angeles quote finished, Yeah, it's over apparently. And why well I mentioned it earlier, the policy that the city which they tried and then they got rid of, and I tried a version of this during COVID, and now they want to make it the new law of the land is here we go.
A Spirit Court judge issued an order in late May after several plaintiffs followed a class action laws who claiming that they suffer negative consequences because they could not afford bail the city. The city has reinstated now a zero bail policy. The sheriff's Spartan will no longer detain people for crimes such as theph shoplifting, drug use, vandalism, battery, and a whole host of other non serious, non violent crimes that affect quality of life, and people will be released immediately
and not have to pay any bail before their arraignment for most others. Obviously there's exceptions for things, you know, for murder and a couple other higher crimes, but you know the stuff that could, especially the vandalism stuff, uh just absolutely rampant, and then the theft stuff. I mean, all you gotta do is look to the viral videos that people cleaning out stores.
So if that's the direction they're going, fitties probably correct. So a certain amount of irony there because how many times was he arrested back in the day, Right, wasn't his It wasn't that the whole thing, Like he's been shot a bunch and he was he was a gang banger and all that stuff. Am I remembering that correctly? I don't remember his origin story, but I soon remember that being an element of it. You know, he was
like shot nine times, Yeah, it was it was. I remember hearing that number on my holy crap man goodness, so uh yeah, even he's not having it. So it is interesting though, right, It's kind of like, um, who was the who was He's on I see him on Twitter all the time, former basketball player, who was like people should be able to do whatever they want. And then like people were coming into his neighborhood and doing stuff, and he was then tweeting out how the police need
to get over here and do something. I think it was Steph Curry. No, no, no, no Curries thing was he was. He was they were avocating some affordable housing next to his giant mansion and he went to the city council and was like, nah, you can't do this, No no, no no. It was there some guys based out of la And I remember it was one of those side by side tweets where he's just like, yo, people have a right to do whatever they want. And then
they're you know, they're in there. It was during it you know what it was. It was during the twenty twenty all the George Floyd stuff, That's what it was. And then like they came through his neighborhood and then he was like, why are the police not doing anything? Yeah, I remember I think he had a job at ESPN or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can't remember his but yeah. So yeah, it is
interesting how people stop process has change, all right? So um oh yeah, I was gonna have So what is the because you have a camera? Um, you guys have the camera, the outside camera. You're he is it a ring camera that you guys? Okay, well well then maybe you're not a big fat racist because if you've got a ring camera, bad news
for you. Yeah. The folks over at Wired, which I thought was a magazine where they were just you know, looking at tech stuff and telling you whether it does what it says it's supposed to do, um, have
have written a hit piece here. Uh. Basically, they were looking at various doorbelt cameras and security cameras and decided to then make an issue over the ring doorbells, saying that even though the tech is good and the cost is fine, that the editors are quote not able to recommend ring cameras because of race profiling. And it comes down to a feature that the ring doorbell cameras
have, which is called forward to police feature. So the forward to police feature is basically just is part of the software that goes with it where if there's something on your camera, you know, somebody lurking around outside or whatever, and you want to get that video over to the police. You can
literally do it. I don't have a Ring doorbell, so I don't know exactly how it's integrated, but it basically makes it really easy for you to forward this stuff to law enforcement, which kind of makes sense, right, That's why you got the cameras out there keeping an eye on stuff. You see something that's you see something, say something, right, Well, that feature is allowing homeowners. I'm gonna read their quote from Adrian sou wrote the
article allowing homeowners to act as vigil anties. Even Ring's biggest competitor, next Door, remove the forward to police feature back in twenty twenty. That's when they originally raised distinct too on this stuff, and Ring told him to pounce sand because well, that's what their customers want. Allowed users to forward their own safety post a local law enforce But if a crime has been committed,
law enforcements should obtain a warrant to access civilian video footage. Yes they should if the civilian doesn't want to give them the footage, but if they want to and it's your system. The article goes on and say, he's the disability to forward so easily increases the possibility of racial profiling and vigilante activities. It's also dumb. So I don't know. Now I want to ring camera. I gotta be honest with you, because that sounds like a feature that
would be useful from time to time. Anyway, Senator Ted Bud joins us. Next hang on. All right, good morning everybody, and happy Tuesday, our number three here at eight oh seven pc O Day Radio program. It's been a little while since we've had an opportunity, just scheduling and all that stuff to chat with Senator Ted Bud. We'll write that now, because he joins us, good morning to you, Senator. What's going on?
Good morning, Casey. Great to be with you. Yeah, absolutely, m I just I want to dive into something we were actually getting into just or just about to get into, and we'll use this as the lead in. I was reading this morning that one of your colleagues, I guess in this couse in this case over on the house side, is suggesting that, um, well, let me ask you this where I get into that. Do you think the cocaine White House story do you think that that's a that's
a big deal. Oh? Absolutely, And they're literally sweeping this under the rug. Saying, well, we can't you find out who that is. I mean, this is a place with security cameras and logs, and I know exactly what phone box they're talking about. I've seen that phone box. This is This is ridiculous, and they are trying to make a nothing burger out of us something and I think it's completely irresponsible and the American people deserve an answer. Um, what's it like if you go to the White House.
I'm assuming you probably don't get invited these days, but when Trump was there, I'm assuming he went to the White House. So what's that process like for an elected official, let alone a staff member. Oh, I mean it starts with us. You know, we show our IDs, we we you know, we have to make sure we go through the right entrance, and they smell tests for your car. They circle your car with dogs
and they're looking underneath for bombs. And then you go in. You park in a certain place, and you go through multiple levels of security, and you sign in, you put your phone in a box, and then you wait in a room and you meet with the president later. So it's it's all very controlled and they certainly should have certainly have an answer for who you know, they could always bring the people back in and question them. Heck, they could even drug test them if they wanted to. But I love
the way John Kennedy, the Senator from Louisiana, said it. He said, if if that the White House was as bad as Joe Biden's White House, he would give his staff from cocaine two. But yeah, I think it's despicable. The American people need an answer. But again, it's a bad White House and it shows you the culture that Joe Biden has there. It wasn't John Pierre was in his name escaped? Whoever the deputy Press secretary is who said that basically he couldn't even speak of the issue because of the
Hatch Act. Is that how you understand the Hatch Well, they certainly expand and narrow that to suit their liking, but that's completely irrelevant right now, and it's the way to sidestep an issue that's very uncomfortable, not just for the White House but for the Biden family as well. Um. Yeah, and then they claimed the Biden family wasn't wasn't there and then they mentioned something like hard passes. So what's the difference between what you go through versus somebody
who has one of these quote unquote hard passes. Is that I don't know if that is. Yeah, maybe that's for the family or something. I don't know what that is. That's new to me. Okay, all right, I took the vibe I got it's for the family, and it's for like upper echel on staff members basically just to make things easier because they're uh, you know, they're on the trusted list or whatever. And I don't know that they need cocaine. Did you see the Axeos article about Joe Biden
when he's dealing with staff in private. Oh my goodness, Yeah, yeah, you don't. You shouldn't treat people that way. I mean, that's completely wrong. We operate. Look, our names may be on the ballot, you know, Ted budd for me and whoever the candidate is. But I'll tell you what. We operate as a team. There are you know, whether you're a House member or whether he or in the presidential administration or you're in the Senate, we operate as a teams. And you've got to
treat each other with mutual respect. Um. You know, there's there's a few of your colleagues too that are kind of known known for that, and I think they put a list out at one time basically trying to maybe shame them a little, whether it's throwing throwing stuff or what was the fork incident
with klobishar Um. Yeah, yeah, they interesting, Like when you meet these folks that may be one way in some kind of another way behind closed doors, but ultimate goal is to have true integrity and that's to be the same person behind closed doors that you are out in public. And that's the goal. Look, none of us are perfect, but again, you want to make sure you operate as a team. This is this is in the
private sector too. I mean, if you're running, if you're in if you're in radio, you're in talk radio, you've got a team as well. If you've got a small business out there, you've got to treat people around you, whether it's your own team or whether it's your customers, you've got to treat them with mutual respect. And that's not the way this White House is operating. One of your other colleagues, Lindsay Graham, suggested one of the ways to deal with the Ukraine issue is letting them into NATO,
which obviously comes along with obligations for other NATO members, including us. What does that to say, is he just kind of the loan dude on this. I don't understand it. What are your thoughts on that? Well, he's certainly the most public on it. But that's scary because if you look at Article five of the NATO articles, and again they're in Vilnius right this week talking about these things. You know, maybe that's just a trial balloon.
But I think that's a bad idea because according to Article five, if one member is attacked, that's like all members are attacked and we go to war on the members behalf. They are in the middle of a conflict, in the middle of a war, and we certainly want to want to have to bring them into fast tract them in the NATO, and then implement Article five immediately, which means we're all at war with Russia. That's not what we want. Let's get let's bring this issue to an end. Let's bring
this conflict to an end. Hopefully you've Kraine will win. H Look, we want to keep doing what we're doing and supporting them as we are. Um. I look, this is a it's a bad neighborhood over there. Uh, you got to I want to support them, but I want to do it cautiously and with accountability. Uh, and so you really have to balance this. Um. And again I think we have inspectors general on the
ground watching where these munitions are going. It actually provides us a test for some of our equipment if there was a war on the in the Pacific. So I think there are some opportunity for us here. But again, your question was about NATO. I do not believe that we need to have a discussion right now about bringing Ukraine into NATO. I mean, let's face it, this is a proxy war. Um. This is and it's not new in the way that the US has done things in the past. Some would
say it's a It's a much better strategy obviously than engaging ourselves. But to what end? I mean, now we're arguing over cluster bombs h and specifically what was it one one five five millimeter which the President said in an interview on CNN we don't have a bunch of and everyone freaked out over there. So, I mean, what is the right path? According to Senator bud Well, I think we need to strengthen them. I think we need to do it with accountability. Look, I voted for a bill that was led
by Josh Hawley to have one inspector general. I think there's twenty thirty or maybe even more inspectors general. So it's very disconnected, fragmented information that we're getting over there. I do want Ukraine to be successful. Are they perfect? No, But if you look at what Russia's ultimate aims are, it's to rebuild the USSR. Now, if you remember, I know you and I've talked about this at certain times. When I met my wife, I was on a mission trip, it was in the USSR, and it began
to unravel that very week in nineteen ninety one. So I've seen the beginning of this. Putin is trying to reverse that and re establish the old Soviet Union. That means he goes west, he goes halfway into Poland, he takes over the eastern part of Germany, and so the real threat to the Baltics. So I think we need to support Ukraine because of Putin's larger ends,
and it's a threat to Western Europe and ultimately the whole world. So you want to keep him contained, and I think the way we do that is through strengthening through strengthening Ukraine right now, do we want to go to Warding We want to some trips, absolutely not, do we want to bring them into into NATO. Look, I think we need to focus on getting Sweden in right now. Finland's already end. But I just think we get to be very very cautious about you know, because of the Article five per
vision in NATO, we don't want to bring Ukraine in. Let's let's head east for a moment, over to China. I was reading an update over the weekend about two incidents, one having to do with Eric Swalwell and Fang Fangs as she's referred to, and also what was it Diane Feinstein who had the individual working in her office and specifically their work on behalf of China where she was basically attempting to ensnare high level politicians out in California and the guy
in Feinstein's office was providing information. Both of these individuals received a tactical briefings, and the newer information basically shows the sharp divide between what they referred to as the seventh floor over at the FBI and them wanting to tell these lawmakers what was going on versus others in the FBI who wanted to know flesh this thing out and you know, figure out totally what we're dealing with and if there was any any corruption and or big problems, and it's it speaks,
Senator to more distrust within the FBI for many folks, including mysel So I know China is kind of a hot issue for you. So talk to me about what you know about that and why these tactical briefings were used basically to stop these investigations, and how do we hold people accountable for that. We got to treat Chinese. Let's make sure we're really clear here. This is not against the Chinese people that are here in the US, but this is
against the Chinese Communist Party which is attempting to operate in the US. And you've given a couple of examples of that. There are a threat to American interests to both at home and abroad, and we need to treat the Chinese Communist Party like the adversary that they are. You've got to root it out, whether it's whether it's in our technology, whether it's in our universities,
whether they're stealing intellectual property, whether they are in our political offices. So we have to be vigilant there and we need to make sure that the DOJ is doing their job and that we're as elected officials, that we're doing our job in the Senate and then again over on the outside, and you can't be compromised. You got to remember why the people sent us here, and that's to defend in America, and that's to operate in their best interest.
And obviously we see a couple of offices that you've given the example of that haven't done that. So again back to vigilance, back to remembering who sent us there and what our purposes as elected officials. How common is this? How common is where you have actors on behalf of foreign entities that try to,
you know, side up with people like you. I'm going to say it's, first of all, two my knowledge does not happen, But again we have to be very vigilant, and I think that when it does happen, it does make the news, and rightfully so, I think people need to know about it. And I think that puts all of us on our toes to make sure that we're watching, to make sure that those in our staff levels are operating on behalf of what this office is here for, and
that's for us, It's for the people of North Carolina. And again, you know, I've just recently sent a letter to the DOJ asking about these overseas Chinese surveillance centers, perhaps even one in Charlotte. Let's take a look at this and let's see what's going on, making sure that the DOJ is doing their job. Because remember, as elected officials, on Article one at a constitution, we're supposed to hold Article two, that's the president. Make
sure we're holding him accountable in his administration. If the DOJ at the fbist not doing our job, not doing their job, it's our job as the House and the Senate to make sure that they are. So, thank goodness, we've actually got a Republican House which is doing it if we had a majority. Unfortunately it's led by Chuck Schumer. But if we had a majority here in the Senate, we'd be having those hearings on this side too, But they control what those hearings are. And as soon as we win the
majority, we'll begin holding the Biden administration accountable. And hopefully they wanted to be an administration in twenty twenty four, well, let's be clear, because
yeah, I'm sorry to cut you off there. Clear because I don't think people realize what these overseas Chinese service centers are because it sounds like, you know, it sounds like embassy kind of stuff, but in reality, like there's like foreign police forces that are accused of operating out of there, which is way outside the balance of what is wout and to your point that there is potentially one in Charlotte is extremely troubling. So what exactly are these things?
These centers? Well, I've sent a letter asking for five questions. Basically I won't read them all, but it says, hey, there's any of it? There were seven that we know of. Are they engaged in illegal activity? And what is that activity? What steps is the DOJ taking in relation to them? Are these operating on behalf of the People's Republic of China? And then what are you again? Have you identified every single one
in the US? Are there others? And so I'm asking most of making sure that the DOJ and the FBI is actually doing their job because I'm of the belief that that there are good people in the DOJ, the FBI, and there's some questionable folks at the top that we really need to hold accountable. But thank goodness that the House is doing that right now. But the other men and women that are serving, that came there for good reasons, that believe in our country, to believe in the Constitution, are there to
serve the people United States. I want to make sure they're doing their job when it comes to checking up on the PRC and any operations they're having here in the US. I mean, that's all good and well, But like in the case of the the one whistleblower guy, um, you know you got all that, you got these indictments. Now, um you know who's quote unquote missing this uh energy consultant, And you know they're going full boar against this dude. And some people say, well, you know, that's
pretty convenient since he seems to have a lot of information. So is like the totality of that overblown? Do you think this guy didn't hihilate the laws surrounding what was he selling Iranian oil and other things? I mean, where where can he be? Both? And will will we ever get answers out of him? So I think, one again, it's not ever blown. When I'm when I'm referring to people's concern about this and coming, you know,
the Biden administration coming down on whistleblowers. So I've signed onto legislation that actually protects these whistle blowers and make sure they're not punished by the Biden administration, especially as they move towards twenty twenty four reelection campaign. We want, I think that there may try to suppress information. We want to make sure
that doesn't happen. Make sure these people aren't punished and don't come up missing somehow and aren't intimidated, because again, these are these are tough times, and we've got to make sure that we that the truth comes out. And thank goodness again for the US House and the hearings that the Republicans are having over there. All right, last two minutes, obviously, Spring Court of the news. You would agree that there is an effort to delegitimize the Supreme
Court in among media and many political elites. Would you not? Oh, absolutely, this is completely sour grapes because we were six three right now, we're constitutionally appointed. People overwhelmingly agree with the decisions, you know, whether it's on student debt, whether it's on affirmative action. These are good decisions for America, and these are contemporary decisions that really fit country. I think
they're instep with the American people. And again, this is about the left and their friends in the media radicalizing their influence and saying that they're trying to pick out you know, this person went on a hunting trip or that. That's all legitimate. And this Supreme Court can handle their own internal ethics cases. John Roberts can handle that as the Chief Justice. And again, they are not an extension of Congress. They are a third branch and they should
be able to hold themselves accountable. Well, but they also were never able to point out who leaked the draft memo less than a minute. So what are your thoughts on that. Can they hold people accountable? They couldn't hold that person accountable? Well, I think you know, that's probably a question on the left that they were trying to take advantage of getting out in front
of the adopts decision. But again, you know, they tend to they tend to operate at their own convenience when it comes to what they're upset about, and they certainly weren't upset about the fact of the leak. Now, they didn't like the doob decision, but was it leaked by the left? Um, it's likely, so we don't know that. Again to the one name of proven Senator time flies. Gotta go appreciate the time. We'll talk soon. Okay, thanks, all right, there you go, Senator at
Ted Bud joining us here on the Casey O Day Radio program. Take a break, get news and oh yeah, I gotta get the water story. Hold on, that's next. This is one oh six one FM Talk in the Triangle and news Talk N four five WPTI and the Triad. Oh so, apparently the woman freaking out on the plane about lizard people nobody can find her. Hmm, interesting, Rossbert, you're saying horrible things about the lizard
people off the air? Was that was that you or you're you're you're cool with the lizard people the reptilians because this chick got disappeared or she just doesn't want to be found. But you know, conspiracy obviously has disappeared. So um, yeah, I don't know, man, that old stories crazy. Plus then you see the video of the dude who was you know, the dude in the hoodie that she thought was the lizard person, and you know he's rocking the faced hats and all the Masonic symbols and stuff. But he
was also detailing a kind I think I mentioned this yesterday. He was detailing a conversation they had where he was trying to answer questions about the simil on his sweatshirt, and then she just launched into the reptilian stuff. And I don't know how it escalated from there, but eventually it's her screaming at the front of the aircraft. Sou But yeah, now they want to track her down an interviewer, I guess, and it ain't happening, Nope, just
people posting screenshots of her with the word would. So that's what you get on the Twitter, all right, So let's get into this real quick. We got to cancel look cancelation at our bill out there this time apparently water. I don't know. Now I'm a little confused because the New York Times piece racial disparities and drowning deaths have worsened, all right, And in the article, well this is weird. In the article they say the leading cause
of death for children ages one to four is drowning. I thought it was guns, where we told it was guns, but they included like nineteen year old gang bangers and that and stuff. So, but for one to four year olds, the CDC says the leading cause of death is drowning, and that number has been coming down over the last thirty years. However, the New York Times is very concerned because they say that they're making a comeback that
quote target racial group. How does the tragedy of a drowning target a racial group unless somebody is literally drowning them, you know, like murder style. Here we go. Black children between ages five and nine are two and a half times more likely to drown in swimming pools than white children, and those between ages ten and fourteen are three and a half times more likely to drown.
Okay, but what see, this is what kills So they just throw the numbers out and they're like, well, obviously, because there is a disparity there, it must be racism. I does socioeconomic playing into this at all? I mean, I don't know, did you how many of you had swimming lessons as a kid. I don't remember if I took swimming lessons. I think maybe I did. Ross Did you do swimming lessons when you were a kid. My dad threw me in the pool and you survive.
So addition made it should accomplished. Look at that. Did he tell you I was gonna do it? Or just you just one day he's like, hey, come over here and then bass video. Yeah I don't actually recall, I just remember kind of happened. Oh okay, all right. So yeah, so apparently we got the water which is quote targeting racial groups and you can't send your ring doorbell footage or you're some kind of profiler. By the way, there's an artis in that article too. They also mentioned,
um there this is in the Wired article. They say there's no evidence that more video surveillance footage keeps community safer. Really is there no evidence? So if there is no evidence that security cameras work, why do we why do we have so many security cameras? And and also why why does the government have so many security cameras? Right? You ever see the number of cameras that are around like the city of London, they were just like it was,
it's like more than there is people. Man, there isn't an inch of public property in London that doesn't have cameras in it. You don't even bring up China. Wow. Yeah, but yeah, that's it. That's for far that's for far more into various purposes, right there. Man, Holy cow, yeah, I would I mean, there's no evidence that video surveillance. Then if there If there's no, then why in every heist movie, what's the first thing that they do? What's the first what's the first
thing in any No? No, I know, you hack into the cameras and you put up like a like a like a video that's not actually the video, right right, Yeah, So it's like, ah, there's the vault, but it's actually a prerecorded video of the vault. So you can go into the vault. Oh but how would you know? How would you know the difference between the two. I'll probably like you gotta look at the floor. Oh okay, maybe maybe, um if there's a slight difference there,
perhaps a logo of some sort. Yeah. No, the first thing you do is you go for the video. Okay, what the hell are you talking about here? I don't I don't even I don't even need your whatever, your BS study that you don't even cite in your article is here. Let me let me help you with this. How many times have you seen a criminal convicted largely due to the fact that they were able to be identified from surveillance camera a lot. Right, that's a thing that happens regularly.
So if that person who is convicted is somebody who goes around robbing stuff but gets conveyed diet, and let's say it gets ten years in prison, you're telling me that over the course of that ten years, there's no possibility that they would have robbed something else had they not been caught, Because it sure sounds like that video camera kept a community safer a bunch of absolute morons man. And of course, uh, you know, it's it's about racial
How is it about racial profiling? Do you get to select the person that comes over to, uh, to attempt to rob your home? Right? You go, I you know, hey, Bob, it's uh's your guys turning to get robbed? Uh? What do you want? Do you want a white guy? Yeah? This is why we make fun. This is why I would always make fun of those commercials too, Right, the um the white the white guy robbery ring right in every one of the surveillance camera
commercials. Right, it's like, what's the um? What's the company based out of Charlotte? I don't know why the names escaping me. But like it was a running every single commercial. Any time they showed somebody who was, you know, attempting to commit it, they had to have the you know, the whitest dude they could find, the white guy burglary ring. That's what we were calling it on the show. But you know it only it works because you're casting for a commercial. In real life, you don't
get to pick who robs your well. When I was a kid, our house was broken into and that was a white dude. We didn't select him, but it just happened to be the case. Happened to be the case. My buddy's house got broken into and it was two hispanic guys. Again, he didn't select it. And oh, by the way, do you
know how they do? You know how they tracked down who the dudes were who broke into his house because he had security cameras, which one of which actually caught the vehicle that they use, and they were able to extract the whose vehicle it was. I can't remember if it caught part of the plate or there was something identifiable on it, but yeah, that's how it worked,
man. Pretty crazy stuff. So, yeah, just more garbage stupidity from the media, media outlet that is supposed to be about one thing, in this case just gadgets right, that's right, You're wired is about technology, and of course they got to turn it into a social justice issue rather than just telling you, hey, this is a good camera for the money, or it's not, or the software works great, or it's buggy,
or you know, the things that people actually won. It's like every publication has become their own version of Kataku, the video game site that is really about video games. Well at least you know whether they're good or none. All right, let's grab race stage from the weather channel here eight forty five, and boy, sucks to be in Vermont today. I was just reading
about that man. Yeah, flooding that rivaled Irene just a few years back, and catastrophic flooding there and even at the parts of New York State and the Hudson Valley on Sunday had heavy rain and flooding washed roads away and one fatality there. So they've had some significant rain events and it looks like the rain starting to taper off. We've been lucky. Parts of the state actually have deficits. We're not doing too terrible, and no rain in the forecast
next few days. Actually beautiful morning. There is any leftover cloud or patchy fog should be going away shortly as we're gonna run up the upper eighties. Somebody could in ninety and then the heat minity you start to build tomorrow.
Another decent night tonight as we're seeing this morning, and then tomorrow near ninety degrees and low maybe mid nineties for late week with shower thundershower threats going up and more the same for the weekend, maybe even hotter, so could get some of the hotter days and more humid days we've had this summer as we
get into the weekend. Casey, that's the way it looks right now, and you know it goes it gets warm and sticky, and then it rains and the sun comes sent back out and even feels even more warm and more sticky. I think that's what we'll be in later in the weekend into the weekend. Well, that sounds horrible, So I mean it's I You're welcome, okay, all right, thanks sir, talk to you tomorrow. All
right, we'll come back. Joan Donnager from Bloomberg News joins us next hang on talk all day four five, w PTI in the Triad and one oh six one FM Talk in the Triangle Light. Good Morning at fifty three Bloomberg Gun Take Now with Joan Donnager Joan, What's going on? Okay? See while economists are watching to get an idea of our shopping patterns with Amazon's Prime Day and just how much an inflation stressed consumer will actually spend. Amazon's trying

Two top PGA Tour officials are going before members of the Senate today to defend the organization's merger plans with Saudi back to
live Golf. The officials plan to say the Saudi Public Investment Fund, the biggest backer of Live Golf, will only be a minority investor and will not be directing the golf business. Members of families of people killed on nine to eleven do plan to be at the hearing. They had stood by the PGA tour while LIV was poaching golfers. to set aside more money to withstand trouble. The Federal Reserves, top banking regulator, wants them also to start using a standardized approach for estimating risk rather than the ones they've been using, which sure just their own estimates. Okay, I appreciate it, Joan. We'll chat tomorrow. Okay, talk to you tomorrow. All right, there you go, Joan Donnager from Bloomberg News. Well, I hope you had a good time. This is I was just reading all the details of this. Right here, a New York man,
his name is Brian dance Lick arrested in Las Vegas. All right, so this is a whole series of stupid right here. So apparently an altercation was reported to police at the Bird Bar, which is at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. All right, so that's probably not unusual, right, people drinking, A little scuffle ensues. However, when they arrived, um, the victim remained, but the dance lick had fled, right, and oddly, they determined the fight was over dance like attempting to steal the
man's artificial leg. That's like, it's like a Guardian It was like a Guardians of the Galaxy. Right, They're trying to escape the prison and rockets, Like what is he? I can remember who? He tells me. He's like, yeah, and we need that. We need that guy's fake leg or whatever it was, and he's gonna go over and get it. And then he So I don't know what motivated this guy, but he did attack basically a one leg of dude and then tried to steal his artificial leg,
so that that was number one. However, after he fled, apparently he decided, um, hey, you know what I gotta blend into. I'm gonna take home the clothes off. So, ordering to authorities, he then fled through the link, eventually over to Harrah's and decided to walk into the main casino. At Harrah's naked, get up on one of the poker tables, and start waving his sports car around. It's not it didn't say if he had the leg with him. I don't know that he got the
leg. It doesn't look like he got the leg the event, but he was naked by the time he got to Harrah's. Came in, jumped up on the poker table and started gyrating while waving his sports car around, asking passers by to touch it. Sorry I should laugh, obviously, this guy's piece of crap man So okay, So he did that. He was exposing all of that, asking people, and then at one point he he changed positions, bent down to expose his backside, and then started making it talk
to people. Was this one of the hang I didn't I don't know that I saw all three of the hangover movies. Because this I'm getting the Hangover movie vibe here right now. Security was able to take him into custody. The man was escorted to a holding area where police say he was completely nud covered only in a blanket when they arrived. According to police he there might have been drugs and or alcohol involved dance like the next day, told police
he didn't remember the incident. Yeah, so you know, look, you can get away with a lot in Vegas, right, Not that though. Do you think he gave his butt an accent while he was making it? Talk to passers by? And by the way, who's who's still passing by? Are you going anywhere near that poker table? You know? And this is the kind of crap that would happen if I had like hockey rockets too, man getting ready to take a hand and all of a sudden it's new
dude on the table. So if you go to vy, don't do that, okay, because you will get arrested for that pretty much to do anything else to work with all right, And on that note, we gotta go and for that helpful advice, but we'll see you tomorrow.
