Just absolutely unexpected. Don't know how we're going to process it Monday, and I think this is a wonderful opportunity to explain myself and I don't like to do that, but I feel like this has been a constant thing in my life and it was how I knew I was emotionally different. This isn't like on the spectrum stuff or anything like that. This is just this is human nature. And I think I don't know it aids me well in this particular
job. And I'm going to keep it very generic, but I think you're gonna know what I mean by the thing, and I ross I believe you're like this too, which is why we work well together. And it's always hampered me when people are not like this. You know, when something's a thing, and it could just be a thing, a thing is the thing, that is the topic, is the is the the reason that you're even
having a conversation. You know what a thing's a thing, and you all know it's going to be a thing, or at least there is a strong likelihood it's going to be a thing, and then the thing happens and everyone is processing and emotionally reacting to the thing. And you've you've already been there, you've already done it. And it can be things that it makes you look cynical if it's a thing that doesn't turn out to be a thing, right, But more often than not, the thing turns out to be a
thing. And so when everybody is doing whatever they're doing, you're like, yep, And in a way it makes you look like, I don't know, you're emotionally stunted or something, or no, you're trying to be a know it all, but you're not. You're just that's ross, do you know what I mean by the thing that everyone knows is going to be a thing completely and you have already either come to terms with it. If it's
a sad thing, you're already grumpy. If it's just a cynical thing, Like let me give you an example before, because you, I know, you think you know what the thing is, but it doesn't have to just be this thing. Let's say the Buffalo Bills have had an amazing season and all they have to do is go into Kansas City and oh, by the way, Taylor Swift's going to be singing the national anthem with her boyfriend, and you just got to be you just gotta beat the Chiefs, you're even
favored. How you feel about that game, buddy, I mean listen, like every year, sorry year, sorry yeah, yeah, yeah, but probably losing that game. But then you go on the Twitter and you look at you know hashtag, you know Bill's Mafia, and you you you just you just post the eight hundred number for hey, if you need somebody to talk to, because you're like, yeah, I've already processed the thing.
Not everyone processed the fact that Joe Biden was going to drop out of this race on Sunday, And like I couldn't understand why the thing was a surprising thing. And yet I'm just sitting here like, yeah, we've already figured ross and I'd already talked about audio for the thing, and this has been the thing that we've been talking about for months, and like people around us are like, can you believe this thing? What do you think of this
thing? Yeah? And they're just and you come across as like either cynical or know it all, and it's not like and even when it's really tough stuff like I'll admit this, I think it was far more emotionally tough for me when my mom passed away. Before she passed away, when the doctor's like a few weeks or a few months, and then like a month, it was like a month and a week. And you know, my siblings, a couple of my siblings are just like, can you believe this?
And I'm like, I have to, I have to like temper the way I'm talking about it. I'm like, I've been a wreck like a month ago, so it's it's less now. And I don't judge them for the way they're feeling. It's just I think it's just human nature how he processed stuff, and in arguably that that's far more important than even the Biden thing, which I mean, we're gonna talk dying ways from Sunday, But did you see people that clearly hadn't processed the thing yesterday? Because I saw a
lot of those people and Ross just played something for me this morning. That dude needs a hug or that woman. I don't know is that it's a dude, right, it's a dude. It's a dude. Is a young man, yes, who needs a hug? Who's doing one of the classic I'm in a car gonna yeah video? People? Yeah, I don't even want to will you press play on it? I feel bad you you you go ahead, go go go ahead. Yeah, well he's not he's not gonna change his buying sir, ma'am. Person they gen Z, we need
to pad together, right right? Okay? And then what for gen Z's first president? But I mean technically he wasn't if you're but he wasn't the first. If you're gen Z, maybe it might be the first one he voted for. And it what did you do it? Do you feel like you're guilty in some way? Ross you added that music? Of course? Right? I know. I believe whoever posted an X which will we I will repost on X two in the show. I got a Casey on the
radio. Think they put it in the background, okay, because it's perfect, it's it's a something, it's uh oh my like and and like I feel I feel bad for that person. Again, I don't. I don't like that this is happening with Biden because you know, by he's still the president and like all around did you see some of the I saw people posting over the weekend, like like cartoons in other countries making fun of like the
Secret Service stuff that was going on. With Trump, like how does this So like the world's watching and they're watching this with Biden, and you know, there was a very cynical CNN dude who's like it was sitting here talking about this and he's just like, why do you guys talk about American strength? What is it? It is the perception of us, and part of that perception is whoever's in charge. And it could be accurate or inaccurate.
You know, there was remember all the discussion. They're like, you know, the world all around the world, other leaders like they don't know what Trump will do. And part of me is like good, I mean less good for you know, like the Netherlands, in France and people we generally get along with, but crazy people in the Middle East or little run dictators with dukes. Good, I'm fine with that. But the amount of in Okay, so that's a random in a car and I don't know if it's
for the camera. Van Jones, of all people, knew this thing was a thing, right And he says he knew and and I guess it's just how people process stuff differently. I don't know, no fancy music, here's Van Jones. Even people who are pushing for this to happen. It's kind of like like when when your when your grandpa, you gotta take the keys, and everybody you gotta take his keys. You gotta take his keys.
You gotta and and and and he's fighting and he's fighting. Everybody's so frustrated, and then you finally get the keys back and then you just cry because this is somebody that you love. This is something, by the way, Uh, one day when i'm grandpa age, I'm gonna have an extra set of keys, so scoreboard I win. Okay, just just think that it's already in the works. Okay, all right, anyway, I'm sorry,
go ahead. Didn't you care about This is somebody who was therefore he is somebody you wouldn't be here without him, and you had to take something from him. Now, this is not look, this is politics. Is politics crying, by the way, But this is a human moment for one of the great humans in America. This is a huge moment for him, for his family, for all of us who love him, for all of us who wanted him to get across the finish line. But if you're a young
person watching this, this is leadership. This is patriotism. This is what it means to put the country first, and put the party first, and put the This is the talking points, by the way, is we'll come to find its first. When your arm gets tired, to let somebody else finish pitching the game. That's what Joe Biden has done, and he's done that for all of us. And so is he speaking to Pedro Martinez? I feel like he is. Is that too soon? Okay? I just
I want to say. I don't know who's going to be the VP, the non VP. I don't know anything about politics. I just know that I love this man. I care about this man. It was painful every day to sit up here talk about him like he's just a you know, some some problem for the party. Wait till we get to the convention. You're gonna see people he is standing, screaming, cheering. I get a chance to talk for ten minutes. We finally get a chance to put our
arm around this guy. And the cynical means like, I hope we're going to see that, because that's how you get that. And then I run in on the radio to fill time and make money. So yeah, it is a little cynical. But the thing was a thing. We all knew it was a thing, and the amount of screwing yesterday was amazing because now Van just kind of explained the talking points. That's the talking points. We owe it a debt of gratitude. Can you believe this? I'll read you
some headlines. It drove me crazy yesterday, the amount of op eds that instantaneously appeared, going, I can't believe this, but here is here's why. It's an amazing feel good story. And it's like you had the article ready to go. How are you acting like this is your this is your live reaction. It was so disingenuous and we'll get to the details of it, and there is Look, there's other stories. I have to I have to delete an entire directory of my audio archives, or at least take it
away from the butt bars so I don't accidentally use it. That was an unexpected thing, but me maybe not as much. I don't know. We'll get into it coming up here on the Cacoday Radio program. Your program director, here's the thing about the thing, all right, enjoy, we're gonna do a show now there we go to do. They really like videos now, so I'm gonna knock that out right away and I'll see see you on this ross in case I don't know whatever to do to do. That's right.
Doing this on the air is send. All right, I get back to the thing. So, how many of you saw Ramaswami. I'm gonna butcher that dude's name forever. Nothing personal, although I did have an interesting interaction with one of our listeners who is Indian. I don't think you ever lived in India, but he's got an Indian name and he's just like, I don't get him right, So I feel less bad. It's nothing personal. AnyWho, We need to send him some vowels, some of these names.
But Ramaswami I could wrap my head around. So this is from what almost a year ago? Yeah, it's from a November of twenty twenty three. Okay, this is and I remember when he said it. I'm like, yeah, that's probably yeah, Like it's not he's not psychic. No, this isn't shocking. Like I said, We've been talking about this forever.
That's why it was so amazing when he had the Milton of the debate, because it's like it finally happened, like in front of cameras where people could see my only thing with the debate is I just wanted to I didn't want Trump to do what he did during their first debate, going back to the like, because then you wouldn't you wouldn't be able to see it. You could just because you could argue away that he was being screened at.
But when Trump shot up, honestly, I think when Trump didn't like go at him, whoever whoever was in the back spin room for Biden was like, oh no, well, I mean he kind of have had to because of the way that the bike set up. They scare themselves over and that was of their own asking. All right, here is uh, here's vivic. I also want to close with one message to the Democrat Party. End this farce that Joe Biden is going to be your nominee. We know he's
not even the president of the United States. He's a puppet for the managerial class. So have the guts to step up and be honest about who you're actually going to put up so we can have an honest debate. Biden should step aside, end his candidacy now so we can see whether it's Newsom or Michelle Obama, whoever else. Just tell us the truth. So we can have an yep rolster you were going and I'm just like, yeah, it's probably accurate. That's what's so wild to me, Like, how did you
see yourself getting out of it? If you haven't seen the reaction from the packs like pro Trump packs, it is, in my opinion, it's the exact way to tackle this, and it will be the mess just like there was messaging yesterday. What was I just was just losing it. I was a tweeting machine yesterday. Here to be Oh wow, Ross, this is the first time I've seen the dude in the car crying. That is that
was the picture in my head. Oh he's hitting himself. Oh no. Often times Trump decides he's going to have a different set of messaging and that will that will quickly come to light. So the messaging from the Republican side, I should say, the Trump side, trump packs. Sometimes even the Republican Party is different, and that's fine. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It's like, you know what it is. It's like the twenty twenty five project thing, right. A lot of that stuff is probably
exactly what Trump would do, but it's not his thing. He's got a much more ominous age thing, right, So is there going to be crossover? Sure, So we'll wait and see what trump'sy is. But I think the packs have They've gone probably in the direction that if I was the political strategist, I'd be on board with, and that is moving on to Kamala because there's two sets of messaging from the left. We'll talk about that in a moment. But now that they've moved on, that's where the pack is
going to focus its energy. And it doesn't necessarily mean she's going to be the candidate who knows what's going to happen in Chicago. But this is the ad and I'm sure this thing has been ready to go for a while. Here we go. Kamala was in on it. She covered up Joe's obvious mental decline. Our president is in good shape, in good health, tireless, vibrant, and I have no doubt about the strength of the work that we have done. But Kamalin knew Joe couldn't do the job, so she
did it. Look what she got done, a border invasion, runaway inflation, the American dream dead. They created this mess. They no Kamala owns this failed record. Make America Great Again, Inc. Is responsible for the content of this advertising. All right, So two thoughts immediately, Well, the first thought is, yeah, that makes sense. I see where you're going here. The second thought is, I don't know that that's true because that implies that she was the one moving the puppet, and I just don't
think she was. And the third thought is, there was a moment, and I don't know if it's that photo of her in the field on her phone, like we did it, we did it. There was a moment. Maybe it was like, you know, she got summoned over to the White House for their monthly meeting or whatever, and she had to be sitting
there going I'm gonna be president. She never verbally, maybe she's not obviously not to anyone who's talking, but there had to be a moment, right or at the very least she's like, if I'm not gonna be president, I'm gonna be the nominee or something. But it had to have happened. That's the cynic in me. But that's probably accurate. So painting her as the puppet master makes sense because she either has to go no, those are
I didn't want to be borders? Are I wasn't given any real power, and then it speaks to somebody else pulling the strings or you own it. I guess the third thing is you just don't respond to it, which is probably what they're gonna do. But I don't think I'm wrong and I don't think I'm cynical, all right, So that is that's the positioning from the Trump pack, which I guess you could almost argue it's disingenuous, like do
they really believe that Kabola was making those decisions? They can't do the most grandiose conspiracy on the internet, right, Well, there's two of them. But uh, is did Joe Biden even signed? Was he aware of that letter? Or did did you just witness a coup? Because there's not There wasn't a signing ceremony, and they're saying that the letter didn't have the presidential seal on it. Yeah, they didn't want him because you know what if you put a camera in his face and ask him to do it? What
if he Wolf of wall Street's it. For those of you familiar with the movie, there's a scene in there where DiCaprio's character is basically told, Hey, if you just quit, you just resign and take your millions, millions and millions you have scrolled away in Swiss bank accounts and yachts or whatever. We're done here. That's it. And so he is he literally gathers the
troops. We can't play the scene because it's all f bombs, but and he's he's on the microphone and he's he's he's telling them, hey, I'm leaving, and there's a moment where he goes literally, fit, I'm staying and it's it's a whole big thing in the movie. And I have to wonder. I have to wonder if there was concern that if you, hey have the president's going to speak tonight and he makes that speech, he does
the Dixon thing that they were afraid. He starts doing the thing that he's done where he starts trying to fight people right, and it's like, you know, what, if you want me to tears the letter up like Pelosi did the State of the Union copy, f it, I'm staying, right, because that's just that's just nightmare fuel for the people around him. So people, you know, it's like when they were telling you, Ginsburg is,
oh no, she's totally reading the transcripts and rendering decisions. And there was a small part of me that's like, is she or are her clerks just you know, oh yeah, now this is what she said. That's why this is Like, wasn't unexpected. I don't seen this coming since twenty twenty, like when he was campaigning down his basement behind like a big wall of teleprompters, right and all this stuff was that it did. And people
are like, oh, it's because of COVID. He's doing it because he cares about the people and he doesn't want to spread COVID and Trump is irresponsible and having these giant rel No, it was because he started showing signs of dementia which they would see on camera. He would call voters fat and he would go off the handle and they'd just throw them down to his voters, his voters. Yeah, and dog face pony soldiers and who there's there's too
many examples. And I think for the longest time they thought they could keep it under wraps, like just give him whatever the cocktail they gave him to jack him up. You know, he's ready to go. He do find the debates and that he would sleep the rest of the days. But yeah, and stopped working. But unfortunately, you're probably dealing with something that it doesn't just stay it it gets worse. We talked about this last week, and I was very emotional about this because I was very upset with it.
If there is a legacy there, and again, it's not like we're talking about Jimmy Carter and people having to rethink how they felt about, you know, being in the gas lines, you know, years ago. Like you don't have to reflect necessarily on how you feel and and reinvent it. Like you can literally go, how did I feel yesterday about how things are going in this country? Right? But that's exactly what they're doing. Though they're like, oh, he was a great elder statesman, and by the way,
Kamala Harris is the greatest person to ever run for president. They turned on a dime out of the Obamas, right, they had that last part, So who the hell knows what we're in for? I don't, that's the part, Like, admittedly I didn't know if he would resign the presidency. I think if they would have all been there too endorse Kamala, then he goes I just I can't. I just don't think it's fair and I'm going to you know, effective whatever and and you know, juice some one
last time for for some sort of ceremony to hand over the keys. I would understand that, and I think that actually, but then you can't leave because you're still there's still a big enough swath of voters that may choose somebody else, and what those rules are going to look like? It was old speculation last week where like super delegates can't vote in the first round and they'll be you know, the whole week of campaigning to see who it is.
And then how do you do it because usually you do the VP announcement the day before. I don't know, but you also just told what seventeen million voters. Yeah, I know this is what you said, but not so much and I don't know how people are gonna feel about that. So that's the messaging on the other side. You know what I'm hearing from. You use a lot of panic. Do I sound panic? Sounds like here today? Yeah, you're definitely in panic. You've seen that right in social media?
Oh yeah, these accounts like everybody on the right your panic and you're afraid of Kamala. But what do you mean? You mean the one that dropped out first in the primaries and got less than one percent of the vote, who arguably had the strongest debate. Right, she torched Biden. Yeah, but then she got wrecked by Tulci Gabbard. Yes she did. But you could explain that away as Tulsi is a fake Democrat, right, which is what they were doing, and people were fine with that. But no,
in fact, uh, that's another again. I was just losing my mind. The dw's an observer again. Kamala Harris is running for president? Can she beat Donald Trump? To which I wrote, nope. Any other questions? Okay, thanks for coming by, Ted Talk. I I feel pretty confident in that that may be the Hillary Clinton. Here's a picture of
the next president. You know. Screw up on my part. I think Hillary was easily the most hated or negative candidate right to ever run for president and she got Kamala Harris is now she might Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But the thing with Hillary is, at least if we're going through the audio archives, we can find something where she's saying something on about an issue or about policy and it sounds coherent and you might not agree with the point,
but at least she's making a point. You can tell me. With Harris, it is hard to find even a ten second clip where she sounds competent. You know what, you know, I accept your challenge. I'm gonna look see what we have in the audio archives, just on the random, just on the random, and we'll check that work. And let me let me do this. Callers, hang on, I'm gonna come right back and we will get your calls. We'll check the audio archives. We got
some other archived audio that I have to like keep away from me. So I don't know. Maybe you know what, maybe we will eulogize that, Okay, and we'll do it next. Hang on the legacy of somebody, there is, you know, the momentary legacy when they when they when they're done right, or when they pass away, and then there's the reflective legacy like George W. Bush, Right, George W. Bush clearly is not perceived by the left as he was sold during his time in office. And
that's like, that's the cynicism of politics. And it's that it was the standard run for any Republican president. One moment, he's an evil genius four dchs. It's that Reagan SNL thing right, or he's an idiot. And I always say, you can't have it both ways. They can't be a master and a moron at the same time. It doesn't work. But usually there's some space there, and so with George W. Bush, it was we need to demonize the next guy, So we go, hey, look,
how great. The last one of him was oh yeah, we always you know, photos with the Obamas, and we disagreed, but it was all good natured. This guy is literally Hitler, so predictable. So the problem is they didn't have any space to do it over the weekend, so we just got we got all these op eds, all these talking heads. We got people like Roy Cooper, Cupper Cooper whatever, our own governor, who was among the first to immediately fall in line with the Kamala Harris stuff.
Now, is it self serving because he wants to be the VP? Perhaps perhaps it is, you know Pete was when we were talking to Pete on Friday, He's like, you're probably doomed whoever runs with her that they're not going to put you in the mix again. But maybe in Cooper's mind it's like, well, you know, at least a shot is better than no shot because of how hard it is to get there. But the op eds where they're just like, all right, you know here, I know
how you, I know how you think you feel about Joe. But it's a hero story. The tale in the messaging was he was able to go in and stop Trump. So even if you don't like what he did, it's the single thing he did first that you need to remember him for. And then they just want you to fall in line with that, or they want I guess people would be receptive to fall in line with that, and I and News and observer. No matter how you feel about Joe Biden,
he deserves our thanks. Maybe if you if you think he did a good job. But like and I wrote, he's literally the dude connected to the way you feel, live, survive right now, check your current feels and respond appropriately. It's it's madness to think that you're just like all the all the the conversation that I had the last time I was at the coffee shop or whatever, where I'm just like I went to the grocery store and it cost me nine thousand dollars and this is I can't, this is horrible,
this is bad. Why are we doing this what happened in Afghanistan? What what is anyone going to be held responsible for the thing that was the thing a week ago that actually was kind of surprising, but even in a way a little not that's what's wild and uh now we had uh I'll probably yelled
at for this. So we have the email go out. Whenever there's a big story, they send an email from you know, the smoke field rooms that manage our company, right, and they're just like, hey, and the email is clearly not for Ross and I right, it's for shows on music stations where they don't really do politics understandably, right, And but because they realize this is a big thing and be prepared to talk about it.
And this sounds horrible and people are gonna get mad at me. I feel like I feel like you ever see a scene in a movie where they're just like, it's a it's a room full of like Navy seals or whatever, and they bring in some you know, some guys from the local police station. And I'm not bashing, but you know how they play it out right, and the Navy seals are like, great, we got this, but
what fine? Okay? And so it's a little like that when you when you do this every day, cause you understand how to communicate about this time. I mean, you understand people are going to be mad. But we could have had that conversation like a week ago. I mean, like I said, we've been having that conversation for months ago, even years, right right right that this was inevitable and it was going to happen. That's why
that it was last week. To me, it was more shocking and surprising because it was unexpected, right, even if it was a little expected that somebody might try to do something to this dude, like that was a I was constantly worried. I was constantly worried somebody might try to do something to Biden. How horrible we are to everybody right now. But still it was surprising. And what is not surprising is I just realized I'm gonna have to
do callers in the next segment. I'm very sorry. It's one of those days. It's the thing about the thing, even though it's a thing everyone expected, which is why those op eds were able to go out in five minutes, Like you're if you're the publisher of the newspaper, obviously those were written. It's like when they have an obituary ready to go, right, you know, you got one big topic there, though I do have a few other things that I want to visit. But and we're gonna do calls,
I promise here in like one minute. I just have to scene set right because we're opening an hour and the focus of today's show is there's a thing, and it's a thing that happened, and it's weird to me that everyone's only yesterday started processing it. And then somebody said, and now you're attacking your colleagues. No, no, no, no, here's what I'm saying about, like the company sending an email. Most morning shows don't do
politics, right. It's it's just not you know, it's like the things you shouldn't discuss in public used to be, like you don't get into religion and politics at you know, a random gathering if you're smart. And that ship has sailed. I think we're past that, especially when you have like with Obamacare, where they had pajama boys, like, hey, go ruin Thanksgiving for everybody. So maybe we're beyond that. But most morning shows don't do it. And and it's smart because it's a respite and so you also
have a big swath of people who they don't know what's going on. You see the videos like where they're just out on the boardwalk who's the president? They don't know? And I envy those people some days, I really do. I'm like, that must be nice. One of my favorite things to do when I did do music radio night was I would ask the random callers who is vice President of the United States? And they had no idea. No, well you did it. That poor guy from Jersey Shore was mean
though, Oh yeah, no, the situation. Yeah, interviewed the situation where situation live at the club and the music's going in the background. I'm asking him about Syria. Yeah, what do you think that's going on? I'm serious. Yeah, he's got a bag of money. A bag of money, Yeah, walking around like money. I'm the sitch. Yeah, you don't know. It would have been more impressive if he gave an answer
that was like totally like, well, I've been studying this. He's like nav if or he's just like fist pumping and he's like, man, I just wish we could all just party and get along, you know. GTL Let's go baby. Yeah, Jim Channing Lot, what the gym got blown up, sitch, How do you deal with that? Yeah, I mean
I envy that. So, yes, there's a reason that on you know, one of our top forty stations somewhere in America, the stunt boy who normally is like, we're gonna send him and he's gonna eat feces and in Poderia or whatever, is having to work with the girl who giggles the whole time to put a TikTok together because there is gonna be a There is a
swath of people who probably were genuinely surprised. But when you are the opinion editor and everything else that you produce is targeted at people who are plugged in, it's wild to me that you think you're going And maybe this is when you shift gears and that's when you're talking to them. And maybe stunt boy and giggle girls have another term that we use, but I can't say it on the radio, But you know, you know what I'm talking about,
Zoo Crew morning show stuff. There's a reason they don't normally do politics, but they're going to have to today. And I get that, and again I'm envious of it someday sometimes, But for you who listen to this show and listen to this type of thing. It's it's not the icing that that you're here for. You want to know what's in the cake, and that's what we're all trying to figure out. All right, here we go to the phones. Jimmy, thanks for hanging on. What's up? Everybody knows
that the Democrats know that they've done lost. They up the worst people they can. They're not gonna throw up they got from Pennsylvania to the Jewish and the Squaw's gonna go against or they're not gonna throw up Pete Boy Booty Judge because he was the worst transportation guy. So they all will put Warwick Cop out of there. But it doesn't matter. They know they've already lost. Yeah, I think Vidijj actually will get floated. But you're right, sir.
It's if you're down six runs in you know, Game two of the World Series, you're not bringing in your your your your closer, right, And that that does make a lot of sense. So that it Yeah, because anyone that puts their toe in the water knows that this is it. You get one run and uh, and what's gonna happen is they're gonna start working on the next four years, and they're gonna work against They know that JD. Vance is gonna be the next pig for the president exactly, so
they're gonna work under somebody like Gavin Gavin Newsom. They're gonna work on him if they decide they want to use him, Gavin Newsomb against J. D. Van that's what they're gonna work on next year. They're gonna be like, look, this this four years is over. Let's just move on. Let her go up there. She's the worst vice president in the world. Just pick somebody, throw it beside her, make it look good, and let it go. Take your as I heard, and thank you for the
culture. As I heard a hundred times watching the British Open, you gotta take your medicine. When those guys are in those those pop bunkers right where it's impossible to hit it forward and he just got to hit it back. It's wild to watch, but it's true. And then you'll see you guys like, nah, I can get it up in time, and then he hits it and he's still in the bunker. That being said, if you have the lead, don't get complacent. And but no Jimmy's apps. Absolutely
right. If you're the Democrats, you could have done this much more gracefully and just taken your medicine and your medicine was you just you had to do something. We had to get Biden in there. But now it's not going to work except that there's going to be four years of what you don't like. But like, cause you need four years to soften Newsom's image. Just have him not sign anything crazy for four years. People's memories are short,
but when stuffs expect it. Like if you told me Ross, tell me if you'd be surprised if we found out that I don't know Boston pol right, they he got pulled over on I fort He was doing a hundred and Winnebago had no pants on. There's a bunch of empties. Okay, I could have seen that coming. Oh look at that. Oh Boston Paul's on the phone, Hey, Boston Paul, what's up. You're right. My memory is like a goldfish. You know. I forgot about the open already.
I forgot about Sheila Jackson Leed passing away, not coming down for breakfast today. And but to Biden, he's in the basement right now. Watching reruns of Hazel and Perry Mason. And then they're gonna put him in the car and bring him back and bring him into the fake White House, and there'll be the president for the next four years. He doesn't know what's going on. He always, you know, constructed. Are you implying that they
constructed a replica White House and they're just gonna stick him in it? Because I love that conspiracy. Yes, I am, don't. Don't you remember they did? They had the fake White House. He's a fake oval office half of it. Yeah, why but I mean that's what you see. They went. They went further, right, Yeah, they've got a fake limousine and a bunch of out in black yeah yeah, yeah, okay,
yeah yeah. One day he gets suspicious, gets on a boat. It ruins everything, all right, and then he and then another one was the former congressman for there he that Biden was This decision was heroic and courageous. I mean, come on, holding a gun to the guy he's head for crying out loud or not or not. They're like, hey, sign this this this this congratulatory letter to her monsters who knows and he just say, okay, signs it. Yeah, the chicken shown big bamboo shigne. All
right, I'm embracing, all right, Bosst Paul. Please don't get caught on eye forty pantsless in your motor home. Okay, we will get here, all right, Yeah, yeah, well five minutes from now, it may well happen. We don't know. Also, he was sending me emails. He's got like three or four sets of key so if you're his family listening, he's got more than two, just so as you know, let
me grab this, Jamal, what's going on? Hey, k see, I'm so glad Ross said that about don't become complacent and let me let people know something. They're not surrendering the next four years. They're about to run the Obama twoenty twelve campaign. We got a black woman. Oh, this is a chance to make history. Black folks that I know y'all upset. I know y'all angry, and Joe Biden didn't do everything. But this is a chance to put your sister in office. This is the chance to put
at aka. They're about to run racism, bigotry, sexism on steroids. And I have always been against Joe Biden stepping down because the media now gets to duct their responsibility for this buffle up for Joe Biden. This is goes beyond just he resigning. They knew Democrats, Nancy Posey, Chuck Humor, everyone who playing up there was in it a democrat and public office lew This man was like this. The meeting of knew this man was like this. There was let me let me pause, let me hold on, let me
pause you for a second. There's two things I just want to inject your One, there was a stat last week that came out that said that Joe Biden had lost thirty one percent of black female votes voters. That and like the Rachel Maddow paused, she was so stunned. And two, there was a report that Pelosi called Biden I think Saturday this came out called Biden was like trying to tell him, hey, this is it, and he got he was yelling at her, and she said, put your campaign whoever was
put put an adult on the phone. And that's wild to explain to that person. Hey, here's the numbers, and and like that blew my mind hearing that story. So yeah, no, I think you're correct, and that is the campaign we're going to see. But I don't think they think it's going to be successful. If they will, yes, oh no, no, yes they do, Casey, I'm gonna tell you why they think it's successful, because here's the thing, and you know, and you know
I can take this and you don't have all. I have always called for the same restrictions on the Second Amendment we put on the first when it comes to freedom of the press, because they are just as dangerous as a gun, because they can see here and row people up and cause a riot like the eighteen ninety six on Wimbledon riots at the Raleigh Times, which earned they new and observe cause the Wimbledon race riots down there where they did a lot.
The press covered this man up. We have far too long cases, especially us conservative Republicans. We keep trying to hold on to the way things we want them to be instead of what they are today. The press and the way they have acted covered up for this man started to deep think because to Kareem John Pierre, she sat down and said in one of her her presses when people started questioning after right after the debate, she said, well, the deep faith came from you, guys, The deep faith came from
you. Guys. Then the press returned back like, hey, giving her a little bad coverage. Right now, we're about to see the bad coverage go away. They're gonna be all Kamala this every capital and people forgot. She didn't the reason why she was chose because all because she was black, that was it. And the black we know that black woman, and Biden said it, yes, that isn't us conjecture. They said it so yes,
and no one said anything about that's racist. Hold up, the whole movement of the MLK movement was gonna judge me by my fall, judge me by my content. Black folks didn't even want Kamala Harrison twenty twenty, you know, And I'm watching these I'm watching black tailed people like Roland Martin and the data lady was saying last week that you had to put her there because
black folks really want to thrill with Joe Biden and everything. But I'm like, the whole argument now is going to be pushing a racial coalition against President Trump to try to tear him down. I'm gonna tell people right now, the Democrat Party have succeeded on people saying they trying, They're gonna try to boost up govern newsen They don't have to boost They have torn President Trump down
for eight years to where somebody tried to kill the man. But you literally had Joe Biden say well, I'm not well saying he's a threat to democracy and he's evil because people like myself are Republicans like myself have a different vision for America. We are a threat to democracy. We hate people, we want to have people killed. No, I don't want children murder through abortion.
Norm it's wrong, and I have a right Republicans. Yeah, I mean, I'm sorry just because we're gonna go in nine thousand new directions. I agree with you. I guess maybe we disagree on whether what they think in their mind. I think that they no. But I think the divide and the split that was happening with Jean Pierre. And thank you for the Calljamal. And the media, you're absolutely right. The media they got punched by their co conspirator and they're like, oh, really, all right,
we'll do it. And now this is the ability to just pretend that it didn't happen. It is the messaging yesterday included. This is the most important political story of our lifetime, and the Stones, the absolute cohonies to say that a week after what we just watched is bonkers. What will in twenty years and when you reflect back, what do you think will be the thing that you go, Oh, yeah, I remember where I was when this
happened. Would it be when somebody literally shot the former president or will it be when Joe Biden said, you know, I'm not going to campaign and well they can figure it out at the at the convention, right like an next president getting shot and like bouncing up like Rocky Balboa with the power to saying fight fight, fight with that dude with that famous photo or the the dementia patient bowing out that we all knew was going to bow out. Did
you see all the sports? Die guy, I'm just golfers and I'm so I'm so sad. I didn't see this so right after the show, so like some people were at the Hip I mic sorry, Like they had a couple of golfers that were doing like the Trump fist at the British the British Yeah, I saw British announcers was losing his mind, like this isn't a
place for politics, Yeah yeah, yeah, yah yeah. And I'm just like oh you know that one of the rotational courses literally was the Acilia course at Turnbury, which I think he owns now, yes he does, Like I can't believe that. And then baseball players were doing it too, and
it was crazy to watch the reactions. I mean, you know, I think Kamala is going to get the nominated, but there are people, other people within the Democratic Party, even higher ups her, believing that their next step is to remove her from the ticket to well there's look, there's a quarter billion dollars at stake here. Does it go back to donnersy and do they spend it for down ballot? I don't know. Wait, hold on, they's got an email back from the boss. Do you're on air talent?
That was a little sarcastic my email. Thank you for your video. It's been edited down for our gen Z consumption. Good look at that whom buy y'all. That's what we do around here. We bring people together, all generations, except for the representative of gen Z in this video, which is a whole thing. Yeah, yeah, he did. If this guy an ice cream or something, oh that would remind him of by Oh, don't do that. That's who's gonna see my video. He's having a day
and not in the good way where you have a day. We need to pad together. Good luck. Yeah, bring up pineapple on pizza. That'll hook him. All right, we'll be back hang on. Which there's a couple of things that are that are in from an analysis, perspective or crazy that are going on right now. Sake kind of intimated that the whole thing that there is going to be this a contest of the convention, is merely
a show so that Kamala can rise to the top. Right. It will it will show that she was able to vanquish those around her, and it will be very It'll be indicative of who the challengers are because if it is a show, it has to be people who never will have presidential aspiration in for real, right, because they're going to be slayed for the purpose of It's like a political jobber. Yes, one hundred percent, hundred percent. And so that's the theory that's out there. The other analysis that I think
is wild and this is on CNN and I just saw this. We don't have the audio, but I'll explain it to you. There's a bunch there's you know, they got the group of people there and they're going through the maybe's right and Cooper's in there, and they get to the Pennsylvania governor Shapiro,
and without saying why they're saying it, somebody says something. They all instantly agree and recognize why he's saying it, but it's never said aloud, and basically it's said that his background end quote, heritage could be a problem. Do you know why they're saying that? Why would the governor of Pennsylvania be problematic in rallying Democratic support? Well, he's Jewish. So they're literally in with all of their experts they're saying, yeah, but you know that
might not be good for voter turnout. They instantly recognize why he's saying that, nod their heads, and then move on. I mean, that is such a bad look. But it's true if right, if, but that's the story, right, if that's a major story, Yes, you should get it, get an interurn out there to go, hey, don't you think it's weird that, like we all think that this wouldn't work because he's
Jewish and why would that alienate a third of our voters? Right? Because the percentage of your voters would claim he was a Zionist or against Palestine, if if, if the Republicans are getting ready to nominate Ben Carson right for and and there was the five were sitting around on Fox News and Guttfeldt's like, yeah, but yeah, I don't know, I don't know, and then they all just nod their heads move on. I it would be a feeding frenzy over at CNN. That's what you just said. You just said
that. But the person you're now going back to sake, the person you're now going to have to vanquish the jobbers could knock herself out coming off the top rope. How do I know? We have audio archives? Let's find some presidential Okay, Ross, I asked you just to throw up the first cuts that you found, right. You didn't preview these, You just grabbed them and put them up right. All they did was go to the system search. Kamala, Yeah, yeah, this one came up all right in
that order. Let's uh, let's let's let's listen for the presidential shall we? And I'll even tell you what they're labeled. Uh, And I'll and some of the labels I remember, some I don't, All right, Kamala intro for Okay, So this is when she's sitting at a table and it's a bunch of advocates for people they Yeah, I saw him claiming it was advocates for people with disabilities, but it's actually some of that, but it's also activist groups that are trying to explain why they should be able to help
your kid transition and never tell you. Okay, all right, So this is how she opens the meeting. Good afternoon. I want to welcome these leaders for coming in to have this very important discussion about some of the most pressing issues of our time. Okay, I am Kamaala Harris my planouns or she and her I'm a woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit. Well, sorry to hit the button again, all right. And then I saw that it was so disingenuous as I saw people because that clip was getting
posted and like, she's talking to advocates for the blind. That's not why she's saying any of that. And I think there was somebody there who is not blind, who works with an organization for advocacy. But the storyline around that was like this is how you Because people are like, well, isn't it weird that like all interactions. You need to do the pronoun thing first and like, no, it's perfectly normal. Here's what it looks like. And everyone's like, this is weird. Man. So that is the clip.
Take it for what it's worth. All right, maybe not her best moment, but all right, let's talk about you know, one thing that people look to is the family. That's a big thing that the RNC was trying to do. That's why they had Trump's granddaughter come in and going, ah, he's just it's grandpa. He gives me sweets, talks a little trash on the golf course. By the way, I saw a picture.
She's seventeen. Her golf swing is ridiculous, but you know it probably helps grandpa owns like, you know, all these some of the legacy golf courses of the world, probably pretty helpful. That being said, she absolutely her drive is ridiculous. Good for her, right, But they wanted to They wanted to family man Trump. So let's hear how Kamala interacts with her family. Show we In fact, I'm going to share with you a very simple story, which is that I went home one day and I said, well,
what's why are conservatives bad? Mommy? Because I thought supposed to conserve. I couldn't reconcile it. Now I can never tell her a joke. Is that cackle worse than the Hillary cackle? I don't know. I thought about that. Man, you have the Hillary. It's on my other button, bar. Where is it on the It's on the other page, right the cackle? Hold on, We'll come back to the cackle. I just
want I want to hit these in order and we'll check. Now. I don't know, man, that Hillary thing something, it's a whole thing. Yeah, I don't know. She was the og at it, so I don't know. I saw people calling her cackles, and I remember that they were calling Hillary cankles at one time. So I who knows. But we don't even have to go there. It is what it is that being said. All right, So here she's talking about AI. This is a big
pressing issue. Whoever's the next president will be dealing with this in some capacity. Help me out here. And I think the first part of this issue that should be articulated is AI is kind of a fancy thing. It's, first of all, it's two letters. It means artificial intelligence. But ultimately what it is is it's about machine learning, and so the machine is taught.
And part of the issue here is what information is going into the machine that will then determine and we can predict then if we think about what I need to stimulate the information is going in, what then will be produced in terms of decisions? I can't, Okay, if somebody comes through a time portal wearing Victorian Garb, right, they just show up. They're not in the coalfield smoky streets of London anymore from eighteen ninety and they just got here.
You're having to explain why this thing that they're interacting with is not a human but sounds like that is the That's what you would say to them. Maybe, But if you're gonna explain everything like it would be a really long four years. I'm just saying, all right, let's talk about something that man has pondered since the dawn of time. What's out there? It's out there at the beyond space is exciting, It spurs our imaginations, agree, it forces us to ask big questions. Right, it affects us all,
and it connects us all. I mean, none of that is technically inaccurate. But what was the point you were making again? This is the portal thing. Do chows up look like Sherlock Holmes, Fine, but even he might find it insulting. This one's just labeled jibbajabba. I have no idea what this cut is. Let's hear it. Imagine a future. The freight trucks that deliver bread and milk to our grocery store shelves, and the buses that take children to school and parents to work. Imagine all the heavy duty
vehicles that keep our supply lines strong and allow our economy to grow. Imagine that they produced zero emissions. Thank you, John Lowell. That's why we're here today, because we have the ability to see what can be, unburdened by what has been, and then to make the possible actually happen. I mean, if you're a frog hanging on with one little flipper off of a flower and you're a motivational poster, that's perfect. What's the point are these
the trains to Hawaii that AOC was talking? I'm so confused. You want that for four years? Sign me up, all right? Raced agic for the Weather Channel, he says, intelligent things. Imagine. Imagine there's a cloud and it's dark and ominous. Imagine that it could be full of rain and I want to go outside and do something, and rape makes that thing that follow me everywhere anyway, Go ahead, sir, Yes, but what if we could harness that rainfall right with your heart machine? Yes, I'm
with my heart machine. Yes. Yeah. It's been kinda gonna get off again with the rain. Had some heavy rain overnight that's pushing east now, but still across the triangle seeing showers. The heaviest showers in Wayne County though, just to the east out of near Goldsborough, but seen some wet weather and wet streets all the way back into the triad. More showers continue to push in right along eighty five and then taking basically the route of ninety five
going north, you run into this area of rainfall. So you get the picture. Occasional scattered shows will stay in the forecast, not today, not just today, but not just tomorrow. This looks like casey, it's going to be for the rest of the week. There will be hours mixed in where they'll be maybe a little bit of sunshine. We're gonna start warming up again too, so low to mid eighties today and then back to the mid to upper eighties tomorrow and then Wednesday, and then cooling off again later in
the week. But I don't think we're gonna get out of this pattern.
We may have at times hours of dry weather, but i'd say it if you are going to be outdoors, be at least prepared for, especially if you're out for multiple hours, at least a chance getting hit with some of this wet weather a little more widespread this morning, may actually taper off a little bit this afternoon, and then as we go through tomorrow again in the afternoon we'll see the storms come in and then start talking about the heat index
again tomorrow, especially in the Triangle, getting up near one hundred degrees. So yeah, there's not much hope here where we get at a completely dry day for the rest of the week. Some indication toward the weekend maybe a little less rain, but each day you'll see the mention and the percentage is pretty high right on through the rest of the week. All right, So there we go, all this stuff you didn't want to hear. Thank you, appreciate it. You're welcome. All right. That's Race Stagic. We'll
talk to him in an hour and you in just a few minutes. Hang on, somebody say some and it just sticks with you because it's either insane or interesting or and I can't get out of my head how much I want there to be a Truman show Biden thing right with a whole fake White House every and then everywhere, and you can like all the Hollywood friends cameos galore, rightly, Bust and Paul sit there. Do you have the fake Oval
office? Maybe that's why they built it. Yeah, you're gonna have to go big, and all the other sets are fine, all right, miss President. This weekend you're at your Delaware beach house, and then you just camera that thing up. It's already ready to go. Hell, it's already cameraed up from the from the last election cycle. And then like on the very special episode, de Niro shows up right right, they're all actors. They can get in on this, and he's like, mister President, have
you seen the new Dictator of Machete stand? And then he hits Sasha Baron Cohen's dictator character, right, and he's just like, you know, he's jabbering on about something, and they're like, we must do something. He can order strikes, right, except the plot line if you want to keep it going. It's got to kind of be like the Mario Brothers plot line, like we we blew up his castle, but apparently he's in another castle and then you, you know you Tanner ride up another building. Oh,
you almost got him that time. Sir Biden would definitely be fooled by Sasha Baron Cohen. Yeah, and he can he can keep character. Remember the one the only person whoever was not like on the Alig Show, who like walked off the set, who called out the BS instantly? It was Donald Trump was Trump. He sat down with with Donald Trump as Alig and he was pitching him. I believe it was a glove to eat ice cream with. And he said ice cream with melt and not get on your hand,
but getting the glove. And Donald Trump was probably on set for maybe less than a minute, and he looked at it. He was like, no, this isn't for me. Thanks, have a great day, and he just walked right off, gave him nothing, sniffed out the BS instantly. My favorite cut, Oh, I don't know if I have a favorite one. The one that always sticks with me is his what was it Bruno where he bought the orphan and named him OJ. Right, am I misremembering what
character was that? It? Whatever it was, it's why no, I think that's the Bruno. Yeah. Yeah, And he's like a press conference or no, it was like you know what it was. It was it was like he was on one like the Sally Jesse Raphael show or something, and people are just losing their minds, and he's like, I gave him a strong African name, OJ or something, and it was I don't I don't know that you could you could make that. Now it is so much
worse than I just even said. So it's and I'm dying through that thing. So yeah, he'll stick character. He'll be the whack a mole dictator that Joe Biden can spend the next however long trying to you know, trying to rid the world of special effects guys, Hollywood cameos. And he can solve Christ like you can. He can solve so many crises. He's like, no more World Hunger, sir, Yeah, no, that thing you
signed? Yeah no, that did it. It's amazing, right, and then just show like and then you got the video of the village somewhere where everyone's just bones. And then like a month later, here's some new video and they're just running around and they're Bills super Bowl shirts but they're fat and happy, so runner Lotter. Wait wait, so we got to the super Bowl again? Super exciting. No no, no, it's still from the
boo from the Levy Yeah yeah, yeah, Era. They got so many of those shirts, man, just sitting around ready to go, and there's so many different years to choose from. Yeah, no, no you don't because you don't want to show up at the party wearing the same shirt. You know how women are with dresses, right, yeah, same with super Bowl champion shirts? Collect themle how you do that? Uh? Now,
as far as I don't know, take this for what it's worth. The blind signing of staff, So the narrative is they didn't tell anyone basically him and what his number two got together wrote the letter, he totally signed it, and one Democrat close to the matter told Politico, quote, we're all
finding out by tweet. None of us understand what's happening. That would explain the craziness where you had people within the White House off the record telling reporters, yeah, he's gonna on Sunday, we're oute you better hook me in the title, because I'm not reading all of them, but every now and then I'm I am captivated, all right. So some some publicists somewhere send me this the and I guess who are they trying to pitch as a guest.
I guess somebody from the auction company. I don't know, And clearly it's it's to build interest so that they can when they have this auction, more money is spent. Like I get it, I understand, all right. And so it's the largest, the world's largest private collection of autographs. I don't even know whose this was is going up for auction. And then they will also they'll list a couple things, you know, like, hey, here's a here's a couple examples which I've here're supposed to be the ones
that they expect to fetch the most. And let's see here it's a German collector. Doesn't say who it is, Oh, no it does. Franz peter Bach. I have no idea who that is, who, along with his father, amassed the largest collection since nineteen eighty of autographs, many many are very hard to find. Examples include a first pressing of The Doors first album, autographed by Jim Morrison, all right, if you're a music collector, that's pretty cool. A Neil Armstrong flight suit flag, that's a one
of a kind. Probably I guess stuff from Marley. But the thing that they put first is an autographed Chairman Mao poster. Who's buying that other than probably all of the reporters of the New York Times many colle You know what, I answered my own question. Does it have him motivational message too? I can't see it. It's just it just has words here, and I'm not clicking the link. But you know, some people in they autograph like
ah so and so keep on keeping on whatever. There's some sports players that like it's a thing that they do, and then sometimes they tweak it and they become very collectible. I think there was just some Tom Brady stuff out there. There was in a baseball set where he wrote a message in one and like everyone's beating each other up trying to figure it. You know, it was like the Wonka ticket, and what would Chairman Mao write? Good
luck with the struggle session. Sorry your family starved, but hey, that's what you get for living in the Yellow River Valley. I bet it's wild ross. You want a Chairman MoU poster for your for your studio. You like collectibles, Yeah, no, I'll passing that. I could see some sort of like like Obamba or somebody buying that. You always see these things
where the people will spot this weird like communist stuff in the background. We saw during COVID, remember when they were doing all these home interviews and like, here's a per like why do you have a Mao picture in your office? Remember the chick who had like an adult toy on her right thing. We found out a lot, probably more than we wanted to know. So I'm I'm curious if it has a because look, there's some like or maybe
he referenced one of his things. One of the things that one of the craziest Chairman Mao stories was right after they took over and basically all of the opposition fled to Taiwan, which is why you have that separation there right If they took over one they sent people to basically stir the pot in all of
these villages to get angry at landowners, and it was very successful. And Mao's philosophy was you can even get them mad at you because you are not me, And so people would go in and it would be the thing where I hate the guy. It's like if you go the car dealership, and even though the sales manager is telling the car dealer what to say, he'll play it off like, look, they're beating me up in there, and
people fall for that. I'm like, they're not. You guys work together, shut up right, nobody's beat But it was very successful where they go in and then whoever was the middle manager mal would just be like, look if they get mad at you, that's fine. You be the opposition. Just make sure they're also mad at each other, because some people like you and some don't. Whatever did it. But the craziest thing was right after they took over, they had they would they'd be like, all right,
this is gonna be. It's our thing now, and hey, if you got if you have suggestions, we'd love to hear them. Just show up at the palace and come on in and tell us. You know, it was like an American Idol audition, right they They people would show up because they were excited because they were told, hey, it's it's your government now. And then they'd get him in there and and they'd be like all right, you know, Joe or probably not Joe, but Ping or whatever,
what's your idea? And then they you know, hey, this is a thing we should do. And he's a professor at one of the universities or whatever. And by the way, he now greased a bunch of those folks, and they're like, ah, it's a great idea. In fact, such a great idea. You need to go into the award room right right over there, go into the awards room. There's super cool stuff in there.
Man, Yeah, you gotta you get a prize for this. And you're such a gonna and and and and then they'd murder him and be like the next day they'd be like the chairman was just sitting around reading his little red book and he was struck with this idea. And that was the number is stupid of people that thought they were getting a They were like the felons or the warrant people. Yeah, you get a free TV. Just show
up here. And it's not totally not not all police officers, and the numbers that they arrested those things like weren't you sitting around Shanghai University or whatever. It was like, all right, well, the first contingent of professors with great idea as much as the they're not back yet, they must they must be having a feast. Should we send the other contingent? We still haven't heard from them. Yeah, let's send the other contingent. All right,
how far down the thing do you get? You know what? I don't have any ideas, right, and then all the smart people are gone. So then when he has an idea like, hey, these sparrows keep eating all the grain. Yeah, so problem we're gonna do. And this is what mauded. This is a true mess story. So yeah, the spin going. Yeah, the sparrows were eating all the grain, and I was like, we need to get rid of those sparrows. So they exterminated. They got rid of all the sparrows. They put a bounty on them.
Yeah, it was like it's something like like he he tried to get rid of the four pests. It was like mosquitoes, flies, rats, and sparrows. So to get rid of the sparrows. Well, the problem was, yeah, the sparrows hit the grain, but they also would like eat the low so no big fans are gone. Yeah, and then the locusts came in and ate all the crops and millions of people died. Yeah, well that's the other guys. That's because the other guys did something.
So you gotta you gotta pivot like a right, right, And it's still we still see it in modern day where they're like, all right, now, full time employees are not under forty hours, they're under thirty hours Obamacare boom. Right, this is where they're like, why is a wiral park
timers just lose ten hours of work? Right? This is the thing that government does, and big government does where it identifies a quote a problem, right, it solves the problem, but then it makes the problem worse, and then it's a domino effect where they keep having to make more more solutions to fix the problems that they cause. It's and and we've seen it, especially when it comes to like invasive species, like you know earthworms that you
just get a cup of and you go catch fish. Those are not those are not native and they were brought in for a reason. Ladybugs too, something to do with I can't remember exactly what it is with ladybugs, and like, oh my gosh, we havet too many. We didn't think of
it, like we made those decisions. But he's like, nah, kill all the sparrows, and then they did, and as Ross pointed out, and that and that is why then you have to pivot and just be like, I can't believe you know, this was Joe's idea from Shanghai University. Now they're all mad at Joe. You're just trying to solve the problem. It is wild man. So if you want a chairman mouth post, there's a long way of saying that. If you want that on your wall,
so you can impress your comedy friends. There you go. Good stuff, good stuff, all right, I promise more audio. Let's do that. So we found out in a tweet. That's the quote in Politico from I guess one of the staffers are at the White House, which maybe I don't know it. Here's the coach here of the campaign. He's grounded in his faith, in his family and in our state. Excuse me, it sound like a dude you just got told this before he went on the air.
This was a very difficult decision. I mean, it doesn't sound like a guy who's been in on it for a week, doesn't it. That sounds like a guy who's like, hey, we got you. You're doing an interview with MSNBC in ten minutes. Oh really, what about are you sitting down? And here's the camera fire away. So yeah, I guess I could kind of believe that. For others, it was clear that more planning
was involved, and sometimes it's what they didn't say. Tonight, the message from President Biden and those around him was quote, all systems go and campaign full speed ahead. Then at around one forty five pm, he notified senior team members that he had changed his mind. Let's get to what might have changed his mind, Brett. But also this statement from Barack and Michelle Obama, which does not endorse Kamala Harris, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton have come
out to endorse her. President Biden endorsed her. But here's what the Obamas saying. We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead, but I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges. Okay, So, and yeah, the fact that that Barack Obama and Michelle Obama didn't endorse is kind of a big deal because there's a lot of theories about what's going to happen in Chicago,
Like there's a theory that she is. It's already hers, but it has to look like she won it. But it's going to be very problematic if she doesn't, because you have like that idiot from the New York Times, je Ali, right, who's like, this will be a test to see if we're over our racism and bigotry. That's what he's tweeting. Well, maybe, but first it's going to be a test within the party.
Now, if you're a Democrat in North Carolina, just so you know, the official party has come out full throated, which every time somebody uses that term in a in a Harris story, the five year old in me chuckles. But my point is, I know I'm an infant. My point is the test is first there, and if you're a Democrat listening to the show, your party's come out and been like, no, we're all in,
are you. I know the party doesn't necessarily dictate everything. I understand that, but they were quite roy Cooper, excuse me, I'm sorry, Cooper. The sound, Oh there's an A and the P. We're hooked on phonics today, all right, Actually we're hooked on fentanyl. That's the big problems of your VP. Maybe you could be the bizarre of that Cooper Okay,
Cooper, Okay, all right, but eh h Cooper Okay. That's the other thing I saw the memely Ah North Carolinians realizing that we're finally done, only for him to maybe be VP Cooper him is uh Cooper that guy? Okay? So the test is there first, So what if she doesn't emerge? So if you're Ali and the and the rest you then you're you're basically the CNN panel going, I don't think Josh Shapiro is the right person.
There's some heritage problems. Heritage was the term they used, heritage, like like what do you own the family owned a bunch of slaves like Kamala Harris's family too soon? Too soon? Okay, too soon, and and and there's all the stuff that's like uh, I said posted this is what
It's still one of my favorite Harris video. Do you remember when she's in Puerto Rico and there's a there's a crowd there and she's standing there with whoever's the current thief rating the piggy bank because the last three have they're in Puerto Rico and they're singing and she doesn't admitutally she doesn't speak Spanish, which is fine only only because I have learned Spanish, I now extra appreciate I'm not I'm not very good at it, like under, but I understand it most
of it. Have a hard time formulating the words, so now when I hear it, I hadn't listened to it since since I was working on that. And there's things you pick up on. And they're singing, but you don't even need to know the words. You can look at the way that they're staring daggers at her, and she starts clapping along and dancing. They're singing about how much they don't like her. This is when she did the
swing through Guatemala and ended up in Puerto Rico. You remember this, And they're protesting her, and even though it's not in a language she understands, they have a post a picture of her in a caricature that is not flattering, and she's clapping along to her own protest song and somebody, an aide who does speak Spanish, whispers some in her ear and she dead stops because
the the imagery is wild, and I don't even necessarily falter. She's kind of like you go along to get along, but it's just not a good look, man. But it is hilarious to watch. So that litmus test that some are throwing out where you have people who as recently as a few months ago were referring to Joe Biden as genocide Joe like AOC was live streaming the whole weekend. What a lot of these folks aren't though, I'm just going to say it. This is prior to him resigning, but we all
knew he was not resigning. There is consensus among the people who want Joe Biden to leave that Kamala that they will support Kamala Vice President Harris, you would be mistaken. And I'm gonna say that because if they're going to come out and say all their little things on background, off off the record, but they're not going to be fully honest, I'm going to be honest for
them. I'm in these rooms. I see what they say. I don't say that often A lot of them are not just interested in removing the president. They are interested in removing the whole ticket. Okay, all right, So she's putting that out there, but it is in the rest of it she's talking about in between making the okay hand symbol like thousand times, which
I was told was not okay. Whatever. She's she's correct on that, but she's doing it as like she she really she's doing it on behalf of Joe and and Kamala, and it's like you just called him genocide Joe like a week or you know, a month ago. So that litmus test, it is going to first play out in Chicago and it's going to be wild. We'll be back, and I was gonna tell it like it is in
all of this insanity. A thought permeated my head yesterday and I'm I feel like you will agree with me, even if you don't agree necessarily with what I say about political stuff. So maybe it's a Kumbaya moment. Can you all stop jacking with our weekends? Yes? Agree? One thousand percent? Okay? Like would be assassins and uh politicians doing things that we all knew you were gonna do. Like that's a that's the other thing, Like you
knew this was happening. Why are you crapping on my weekends? You know what? Historic I went back and looked this up. Okay, I was gonna do a whole thing, but I save it for the air because I'm lazy whatever. Like remember when we used to be Remember when we used to remember when a JFK that was a Friday, Okay, it was a Friday.
It was during the weekend. You know this because people can remember, you know, they were at school or what they were Yes, yeah, yes, The Challenger that was definitely in school because I remember watching it and to pull out TV. Yes, there you go, right, Like we used to do stuff within the you know they talk about it nowadays is job creep, which is a thing right where it's you know, you're so connected.
Like I long for the days that if you want to get a hold of me you had to call a landline and I could just not answer it and you'd be like, maybe he's at the neighbors bruh, I don't know, and you'd leave a message and maybe I'd get back to you. Probably wouldn't. But like, and then we got the smartphones and they're so amazing
with everything you can do. But now there is this like, hey, you know what, maybe I should answer some email on a Saturday that didn't cross your mind back in the day, you didn't do it, Like like I had to go back and look when stuff was done like we had Remember when we finally were like, hey, you know, enough of this Nazi crap, we're taking Europe back. We did that on a Tuesday, right. We didn't even do it on a Monday when they were half ass in
it. Right. We waited for the Nazis to get back to work, to get a whole day under their belt. And here we go. Now the Japanese. Maybe this is subconsciously Pearl Harvard. That was a Sunday, see what I mean. And even if if it was like just stirring in the id, like it was an extra reason, we were like, oh hell no. And then when we decided to go do Hiroshima Nagasaki, that was a Monday and a Thursday, cause we were like, we're gonna do these things, and that's a flex, right, you should be at the
ready, guys. You know, German, here we come, and we're doing it on a workday. We're not not when they're in the beer holes all, you know, drunk out of their minds on a Saturday. No, we're just like, we can do this and we are going to so do it, and we're even gonna do it when you're when you're kind of ready. That's you know, when we were a proper country, that's how things were done. I gotta throw nine to eleven in there, but that
he intentionally went for a work day for obvious reasons. But you get the point that I'm making. We live in a society. Yes we do that. Thank you. Tom started at yeah, okay, what are you saying. I'm just saying, man, yeah, leave my weekends alone. And I get that we do kind of a different thing. But weekends were for going and go to the beach, or maybe you do dumb stuff that you regret during the week. This is when you is when you get knocked out.
This is when your kids are conceived right, because it's a weekend. You're not doing stuff, having fun, not thinking about your biggest concern is is that a shark by where Timmy's swimming? Oh it's not okay, all right, whatever, I'm not going out there. If you don't see tim
anymore, let me know. I said some very similar in social media where it's like, you know, I wish history just just stop historing for a little bit because I'm tired, and I saw people are like, well, this is where politicians bury stories No, it used to be they buried on a Friday at four where they're like, we need a comment, call the whatever comment or oh he left for the beach early, Well it's Friday,
what are you gonna do? And then on Monday we'd pick up. Like the earliest was the Sunday shows, and you still had a choice like do you want your weekend to be over? And you want to mentally get into this. I straight up I did not. I'll say this, I did not know that Biden had sent that letter and tell that text we got. Do you know why? Because there was a time on Sunday where I turn on this stuff and I see the notifications. I skipped right bym don't even
read them. I have some VIP email that like you were on it, Trevor's on it a few if that pop with the iPhone. I will read those right now. Don't get confused, because I ain't. Some people send me a text or tweet. You better get used to working on the weekends. We work on the weekends. Half of our Sunday we work, Yeah, Sunday's prep, Daggs putting together Monday show, which is why on Friday and salespeople can get ahold of us, like why is this thing a thing?
And I'm like, ah, this is our weekend. So but you know, stop it. Just just wait. If you're gonna do something horrible or awesome or whatever it is. There are a few exceptions, right, you can go out and you can win a super Bowl on a Sunday. We agree to that because there's beer or food or whatever. Like, there's even a trade off there. You want somebody to be, you know, excited about it. Sometimes you gotta bribe them. But we'll go along to
get along. But I don't want to deal with this on a Sunday or late day Saturday. I'm trying to not do this stuff. I think everyone to calm down. It's calm down. Yes, this is a Wendy sir or whatever. You know, whatever the meme is, it ain't right. It ain't right at all. All right, one of there is one other cut I had no I did play those right, Look at the then go back to this cut. We opened the show with this guy freaking out in the car. Look, I think he's a lunatic whatever, but like he
don't. That's not how he wanted to spend his weekend weeping in a car hitting himself in the face. He wanted to spend it. I don't know out. I don't know, probably gluing himself to something, so, you you know, over whatever. Let him let him do that, Let him let him go glue himself to stuff for the for another guy. He doesn't want to be sitting in a car making this TikTok? Can we agree on this. I want that guy to enjoy his weekend. Gluing himself to stuff,
chanting, stop going on. I'm glued to some and I have to go pee. What do I do now? Coming to terms with those decisions, gen Z, we need to pad together. Maybe filling out ballots. Oh my gosh, how many ballots do you think they filled out? Now they're use Z's first president sat trying about I feel like, I mean, you can't. That's the comb by y'all. Like, I don't want that
dude to spend his Saturday or Sunday doing that. You can't blame him though, for being shocked and destroy I mean, this came out of nowhere. Nobody Nobody said God, it's like you're sitting there. You're sitting there in the front row of the baseball stadium right where all the line drive fouls go. And you're like, how did I get hit? What is this? U? D Day was? Oh yeah, oh you are that guy? Well at least you labeling your email SERTs D Day was delayed twenty four hours
due to the weather. Do we tell people because again, it's a flex, it's a flex catch up with their pants down right, you know? And it's shameful. You remember when Rambo went in and saved those you know, the POWs and basically murdered everybody at night when they're having a party. H do that during the day, bro, I'll question even the greats. That's how we used to do things. Not now, no, no, no, Now we crap all over one's weekends. And if we can't do
it with the news cycle, we do it with the weather. Look at that transition, seemless. I'm just pointing out, like I just could you can't. It would be assassins and politicians making big a nights. Stop it on the weekends. Do this give us our weekends? Make America's weekends great again? Is the hashtag I used this weekend because I had to say something
over the weekend when I don't want to say stuff over the weekend. Weekends are for dumbs, stuff, bad decisions, fun stuff, family stuff, whatever, right, and good weather which we haven't had right, Yeah, should be anyway saying some of us are pulling our weight. Yeah, well we're trying. Definitely did not this past weekend. You know, we've seen rain just about every day over the last three to five days. I'm probably
making a pretty good debt in that drought monitor. We'll do the comparison on Thursday when the next one comes out, taking the trip east heading maybe the beaches. Right now, most of the showers thunderstorms out into places like the outer banks near Killdevil Hills and back toward Cape Lookout and Long Beach down to
our southeast, and some scattered showers in and around town. Also back toward the west and southwest of US. So scattered showers around this morning, a few thunderstorms this afternoon, a little mid eighties tonight, scattered showers, thunderstorms, most of that coming in early, and I think Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday decent chances of rain. They'body breaks in the action as we've had over the next few days, and there may be day or a couple
of days where you don't get any rainfall. So don't be surprised if there's a day mixed in here, especially this afternoon I think where we might not see a lot of coverage on the rainfall. But if somebody said the percentage chances of rain each day, it's probably seventy percent or greater. The best chance will be in the afternoon hours. In casey, I'm not a huge
fan of using percentages. I just I just don't think it paints the picture because somebody will say, like, well, it says eighty percent chance of rain, and they'll think that, but it doesn't mean that that's your guys. Oh that's your guys' fault exactly, doesn't actually mean that, Yeah, exactly it is. So it is because everybody thinks, like, well, eighty percent chance of rain, they're rain in I It's like it's more like you take an area, right, you take an area and how much click
Exactly that's exactly what but that's what we do. So, by the way, you mentioned kill Devil Hills day of the week, first man flight Thursday, right, and arguably that could be doing dumb stuff over the weekend, guys building stuff and hurting themselves that like it could go either way, but no, the Right brothers had the common decency to take to the air for the first on a Thursday, of all days, because you know, don't
ruin our weekends. And weekends are for kill devil hills, ironically enough, but it was not for first flights, right, first flights are yeah, yeah, Now, when they were standing I don't know what day of the week, when they were standing in Ohio looking back, going almost but Ohio is over that. But whatever, Thursday, we're gonna so if we're gonna do something big, we do during the week, right, tell me, all right, I'm gonna keep I'm gonna write that down. We had looked
Challenger JFK. The common decency to motorcate on a Friday, and Challenger was during the week because all the kids in the school were horrified. Yeah, I was, uh, it used to be a proper country. During the week we did we bombed. We bombed the Japanese on a Monday and a Thursday. We want to ruin their weekend, right, all right, all right, komba, all right, thank you sir, appreciate it. We are considerate, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, this
is withever your political persuasion. Can we all just agree on this and then you can go out and do whatever it is you want to do. If so, crying guy in the car, he can spend his weekend simping for she beast women with blue hair that don't want anything to do with him. He's in the friend zone. But if he wants to spend his weekend doing that, Okay, it's your day. Have a day, sir, We'll
be back. Hang on well morning. Casey Wall Street ended last week with a losing session on Friday, but the futures are all pointing higher this morning, so we could have a positive start now. Futures or up seventy economists think a key inflation reading that comes out on Friday morning will help to give the Federal Reserve more confidence about interest rate cuts. More than fourteen hundred flights within into or out of the US we're canceled yesterday. Airlines struggled all weekend
to get their computer systems running properly after Friday's failures. A flawed software update pushed out by Custrike caused Windows based systems to crash all around the world. Several industries were affected. The airlines were among the hardest hit, and there are still some flight delays today. Verizon Communications posted an adjusted quarterly profit that was in line with forecasts, and it confirmed its outlook for the year.
The company says its wireless broadband internet service has proven to be a big hit for the company. McDonald's five dollars meal deal has proven to be popular with customers of the fast food giant. More than ninety percent of McDonald's restaurants have committed to extending the bundle beyond the initial four week window, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg News and Casey Twisters was the weekend's number one movie.
Ticket sales for the Universal Pictures release topped eighty million dollars. This according to comScore, it was the third biggest opening weekend for a film so far this year, and it's reported to be the biggest opening weekend ever for a disaster film. Casey, I am so unplugged. I'm assuming that is off the Twister. It's like the sequel Twisters. Yeah, yeah, yeah, apparently
it's it's a one off sequel to the movie. What was it twenty years just having the wrong business because you just know some a hole sitting in a pitch meeting. He probably just made a million dollars. Like what if there were two of them? Right? And they're just like, you know what, Brad, that is brilliant. Here's a million dollars in the wrong business. All right, thank you, all right, have a good day.
Jeff Fellonser, Bloomberg News. It's good. I was going to drag me into the weekend thing, but then I got right, how easy must that be? All right? What if instead of one twister there's two And they're like, you know, brilliant, let's do this thing. Oh, it must be so easy. By the way, you guys doing your due diligence.
I'm getting emails July fourth, seventeen seventy six, Thursday, right because we understood the British had stuff to do right spending their weekends, you know, bowing down Bostonia or whatever that that's your hobby whatever, And we're like, you know what, that's not us. We're gonna do this on a The first thing that we do as a country is not ruin your weekend. You guys think you want to hear the show Ross and I would do on a Saturday. You don't. You don't want you You would be like I
was wrong all of these years. What the hell was that? You don't want to hear that. On the rare occasion where there's like a hurricane coming to kill us all or something wild happens, it's not good radio. That's a little tougher with that because you're on one topic. But you get like, if it's just a random show, we're just like, oh, we're gonna start doing Saturday shows. We're not. And you don't want that.
You think you want, you don't want that. It's like when they were talking about some listener events that Sales wanted to put together and the question came up, what if we did it on a Saturday, And I'm like, I didn't know, And I know that sounds selfish, Like I don't want to do it. You don't want to do it. I know that that would work better for some of you, but you don't want that. You don't want Saturday me. You don't want Saturday Ross. And we're professionals,
we get it done. But keep down, you know,
