Got one of those you got one of those primary things tomorrow, yippip yep, yeah, Super Tuesday, all that good stuff. So not just North Carolina, but that's when that's when we'll be digging into this thing. And Lord knows, from a primary perspective, we have some races that obviously it'll be interesting to see how they pan out. We have some others that is

kind of a foregone conclusion. I guess that if you win the primary, you win whatever the seed is. I mean, in some cases probably, but you know, who knows we got We've already got AI or quasi or things described as AI up in up in the race. We have pretty nasty primary campaigns. And then you wonder does that hold over to the general election. I don't know. And we have some races that may or may not be I guess it will depend on what voters choose to do with the information,

but may or may not be changed. Following kind of some last minute stuff going on that we'll get into. I see the folks over at McClatchy decided that they wanted to I want to write himselves a big story on bo Hines on Friday. Will that impact the race? With Walker and Castelli and

others. I don't know, but I do know this, Ros and I have developed a brilliant system over the years to really streamline all of the insanity that are elections, specifically primary and general elections at federal levels, wide level, and yes, even at a state level where we cover so many different counties and congressional districts and everything, rather than going through the tedious process of lining every single candidate up, many of which who don't understand how Equal Time

works and talk radio stations, but doing that because that's the way the stations have always done it. Nah, we reward people who listen, even though it is running for office. So here's the way we do this. Tomorrow obviously, Super Tuesday, we have we have candidates run the gamut. I know it's primary obviously, and it's another two hundred and sixty some days to the general. But we want to provide an opportunity for those who are in fact on the ballot, yeah, the opportunity to say, hey, and

so here's how we give you this up today. We will if you are on a state wide race or a federal office race. Okay, so congress resident for that matter, Senate, which isn't a thing here, but you know, just for clerical purposes, one of the Council of States offices, you know, governor labor, whatever it is. If that is you and you want to call into the show today at some point and say hello, just talk for a few minutes. I don't care what letter follows your name,

just that you are among those on that ballot. And then tomorrow we will InCor or create state and local races. Okay, So that's how it works. Ross has his own unique vetting system to make sure it's not just some psycho calling in going hey it's then you know it's Mark Robinson and it's clearly not. We will do some behind the scenes vetting, but yeah,

we throw it out there. And then thus, by making this offer to everyone in the same way, in the same place, I have achieved the spirit of equal time, even though it's not the thing you think it is. Candidates who send me emails on this stuff, okay, all right, very good? Or Ross, you want to take two days off? This sounds amazing. I mean, like, I mean a little less than two days, like two days minus one segment, he stayed. I mean, I mean, yeah, we had to put in the effort and come in.

But is that an option. I would like it to be, because I will check that box. Okay, I don't think it's an option, but that's how we do it. So that is I just wanted to give you all the explanation. That's how it works. Our phone number eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four. Here's what that does not mean. Do not call Ross or email or any form of communication either Ross or me and go, hey, I'm so and so for candidate so and so.

How about we schedule a time and then insert whatever it is. Nope, Nope, going to be on the show, call, tell them who you are, rousseill figured out and then we'll do it. And then that's just kind of you know, it's a window dressing for the rest of the show. That's how that's how we do things. So you know, make the effort, stop kissing the baby, whatever it is. And if you are with somebody's candidacy and you hear this and you want to reach out to

them, then by all means, but that's how that goes. So anyway, let's listen to the president, the former president of the United States make a really really funny adult joke. Shall we How many of you went and saw him in Greensboro? By the way, curious how that was? All right, let's get to it. I was indicted by Fanny in Georgia. Fady, how did that work out? By the way, it's Fannie,

sir, it's Fani. I too thought it was the other thing, but I was told it's the other thing and her lover Nathan Wade, and they hired him for almost a million dollars because of his great, great experience. Of course, he didn't have any experience. He had experienced in something else. You know that a lot of experience. Come on, that's funny, that's funny. And at that I'm quite sure he was very good. Based on the fact that she called him two thousand times, I didn't know the

gentleman. I didn't know. Oh, you have two thousand phone calls, thousand, five hundred text messages. How is it possible? In a short I know a lot of people, we like a lot of people. I happen to have a very good relationship with a woman called Millennia. But I would venture to say, in all the years that I've known her, I might not have called her two thousand, five hundred times. That's a I know I didn't send three thousand, five hundred text messages. All right,

let's uh, I gotta let's talk about that. The text message just comes down to if you text a lot, right, Some couples text a lot. Some roster you and you and the wife text a lot. Because you're not a text say, yes, we do. But I know you guys do because I twenty five hundred, you guys have probably texted twenty five hundred easily easily. Now the calling, man, I don't know. I guess

that the calling maybe maybe like maybe one actual colleague per month. Yeah, And don't get me started on FaceTime because oh it just that became an issue because you and I just had a meeting we had to do last week where it was FaceTime, right and you had to like literally down, I had to re download the app and that comes on most phones, right, come standard, And I can't say it FaceTime. Yeah, I hate it.

Like if you FaceTime me, I'm just gonna like take my phone and face it down to the counter and I will use it like a phone, Like it'll just be audio. That's what it is. It's from a meeting perspective, like, unless you're showing charts and graphs like phones, phone's gonna make this happen. But yeah, yeah, I have it's on my phone.

I don't know where I buried it in one of the folders though, I just know occasionally some weirdo tries to FaceTime me and then I just don't accept it unless literally, like the boss just said, Hey, this is what we're doing. But yeah, so anyway, I thought that was a good line. He kind of he paused for one of the laughs and then didn't pause for what I think should have been the bigger But you know, he does a lot more public speaking than me, so maybe it works out.

Anyway, six seventeen. Now you know the rules on the kandidacy stuff, and we will we won't make that a part of the show. But in the interim I got a lot of stuff. In fact, I'll give you a rundown coming up next here on the CaCO Day Radio program. Yeah, topic kind of got beat to death, especially around COVID with squatters. Although California has been I mean, some of the squatting stories there are absolutely legendary.

New York kind of ran into it. During COVID, because when they passed laws, people did things like they went on like the RBO or Airbnb, and then they would rent a you know, like a Berkshires I am I saying that, right, the the Berkshires whatever, or a house on Long Island, right, and some beach house and they'd rent it for some stupid amount for like a few days, and then they'd go all right,

not leaving. And you literally had people out in in some of the wealthiest parts of America that were living in these mansions, mansions out on Long Island who basically wrote out COVID. There some crazy stories, however, man, this one, this one I was reading, this one is a doovie doozy. And yes it is Long Island, although it is not out in more the beechy ritzy areas. But still still absolute no accountability for judges, the

audacity obviously of the folks involved. You hear the whole backstory here, and you realize why people, whether it is business people talking about what happened with Trump, right, and this whole Letitia James prosecution and he said his assets were worth this and then the bank just agreed after doing due diligence and then they did alone and he paid it back and literally nobody was upset and the

bigger issue that was talked about. I saw one of the dudes from Shark Tank goes at Kevin O'Leary, who was talking about this and other saying, you don't think that that has an impact because in your fervor to go after your political opponent, you never ask yourself, well, what are the long term consequences here? Oh, and the other example I thought was in Delaware with Elon Musk's pay package. Right, it feels so good in the moment, right to go ahead and do this thing, and then you celebrated on

social media. But the reality is people, especially when you're talking about the kind of money you're talking about for the deals like the one Trump was being played for, you realize people with money, they tend to calculate risks and things that could come up. And you've just added a new or at the

very least an expanded possibility tab. Right. So, if you're doing a deal or incorporating a company or whatever it may be, and there's hundreds of millions or perhaps even billions on the line, you got to sit there and look at the state of New York and go, yeah, I don't know, because like what happens, and then maybe you look at your past political

donations, right because people love to dig into that. Remember you had you had the Mozilla dude, Remember the guy from Mozilla who made a contribution to a pack that was I want to say it was a definition of marriage Act or whatever it may have been, right, and in their personal stead donated I don't remember what it was like ten thousand dollars or something, which you know, if you're a big silicon guy, that's not much money, but

made that donation. And they didn't just screw things up for Mozilla. They

got investors to run that dude, and that's where they went. So if if you're a if you're a guy who's brokering a big deal in New York, that's another thing you look at. In this case, if you're somebody who was I don't know, going to invest in property or have a situation in a particular municipality that might be avoided in another we're looking at that, whether it's vacation homes or in this case, just the ability of taking basic

information into a court of law and having at the very least in the interim, the preponderance of evidence kind of be the default position, and all of that is not at play here. But I'll tell you the whole sordid tale

because absolutely it's fear inducing. I can't even imagine. And the part that irritates me so much about this story is you had people that likely could have benefited from the investment in this case that was made by their parents during the very waning years of their life and idiot judges man and laws for that matter, but also, as you'll come to find out, idiot A judges just don't give a crap. And like, I couldn't fathom this. I'm not

gonna lie. They're gonna kill one of these wrestlers. Man. I don't know if you saw a video over the weekend of sting At what was it? Aw Revolution? I believe was the event name. Anyway, this dude's eligible for Social Security and they're slamming him through tables. So yeah, but he's an amazing shape like he is though, like he's he's gonna be retiring, So that's why it was like a big right, right, I know,

but he's sixty four. He is something about throwing a sixty four year old dude through a table or tables, I should say, kind of crazy. So you're denying any of the supernatural things behind the character. You don't think that's the thing. He's not powered by a different force than you and I, Well, you're operating under the assumption that that force, whatever it may be, automatically grant some sort of longevity bonus, right, or immortality.

But that's not always the case. So admittedly I don't know the totality of the lore there, but I thought it was kind of open for debate. Do you know who came up with his gimmick? Because I remember he wasn't always like Crowsting, Yeah, no, with with the Crows, Dad, I do not know Scott Hall. Yeah, and believe and like when he did it, he had never seen the Crow before, like he was unaware that that was actually part of the movie. He thought it was like

a completely original Scott Hall idea. It's a good gimmick, is yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, And it's a it's an absolute crime that Sting never fought the Undertaker. That is such a missed opportunity there that really never happened. It never happened, should have happened. You have the forces of hell I mean, or I mean, let's see, let's see who struck the better bargain kind of thing. But you suplexin a dude through panes of glass and a table. He's sixty four. I don't know, man, it

was. It was incredibly popular. If you take the social media, it's damn near the only thing. Just say it's the only thing, but it's it's definitely the top thing people are talking about. But I don't know, man, I cringe, cringe a little when I watch it. Although I have to be honest, if somebody hadn't told me he was sixty four, I guess I wouldn't have known. You'd have no idea. And the thing is like when you realize how long his career has been, Like you see

like WCW Wrestling was a game on the NES the original Nintendo. Yeah, so he was like old and pixelated way before Crowsting. And now he's in like the recent games as the icon. And you see like the evolution of when he first showed up in a video game to now, and you're like, that dude has been around forever. I'm trying to think, think when did he first come in I don't have it here in f I I'm not gonna look it up. But to your point, yeah, no, he's

been around forever. This was obviously this was a retirement, This was a send off. So they're going to go all out for it. But still after who who was it? Who was it? To damn near got tombstone to death trying to think who that was? That was over in Saudi Arabia too, wasn't it? Where was this one? Or maybe this one was in London? I knew it was somewhere. Well anyway, now watch out

for that. Uh, here we go. How many of you hate going to the government office whatever it is dm V got to go pull a permit? Maybe that's uh, you know, part of your part of your job there. Yeah, you probably don't want to do it, and who not, you know, maybe you're you're friendly with the employees that you deal with if you got to do it on the regular there. But I have a feeling in Union County maybe some folks didn't mind it as much. Here we

go. Deputies say that a twenty one year old is what is her title? Even let's see here works for the Union County government. Eligibility technician. That's that's her gig, the twenty one year old. Oh, by the way, the gig. According to NC State's description here, the role typically helps those who are applying for government benefits or healthcare program programs. All right,

so why was she suspended? Well, according to authorities, just wasn't making ends meet with the with the county gig down in Union County, so to supplement the income she was hooking on the side allegedly. Yeah, authorities say that. Following the rest Friday and a charge with ten counts of misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution. I wonder, I wonder if somebody got had beef with her and reported her, because it doesn't really say how she was caught.

They do reference some ads, I guess, so maybe it was part of a bigger Yeah, says it was part of a bigger ongoing. So it's part of one of those much bigger Many Many police hours investigation like they do with strip clubs, in this case with prostitution ads. Let's see. According to authorities process released Friday afternoon, here's this statement from the county manager. We've taken immediate action to suspend Kendall Griffin's employment with Union County without pay.

We're fully committed to supporting the Sheriff's office hold employees to start, so standard stuff you would expect there. Yeah, I wonder, I wonder if there's some people who came back to uh get processed several times. I'm curious if it was part of the open investigation or somebody just somebody was just salty. Man. Hey, I mean, that's that's the reality here. How do you think, how do you think the how do you think the the the

teachers with the only fans get busted? Right? Remember that woman in California or Sacramento with the two kids who was doing like the she had like the mom gimmick because since reason that term. Remember the story there was like all the dads knew, and then uh, some guy I guess must have told his wife, but nobody was saying nothing for a while because again the dads knew. But as soon as the mom found out, all of a sudden,

the whole story unraveled. I'm sure that wasn't a happy coincidence. So yeah, anyway, and then they have they say they have a process, they're going to let her go. Obviously she's only charged, so there is that. But anyway, what if any appointments got canceled? Just wondering six forty two k Cooday Radio program. Well, I want to get into the squatters thing. I'm gonna need a whole segment to do that, so we'll get to that here. Ian, Well, let's do this. We'll go

ahead and hit our break. Just a remind her it is the Monday before the Tuesday, which is the primary, and so we are doing our little

candidate roundup thing today just to kind of split this up. We are statewide races and federal races, so Council of State Governors obviously we're talking primaries, congressional seats, any of those candidates, if you're on the ballot, a few minutes on the air, we provide the opportunity today and then tomorrow will roll in local local candidates, you know, say, House primaries, whatever it may be. And that's you know, that's how we accomplish that.

Round these parts phone number eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four back in just a few Icky Haley's campaign is a quote reinvigorated following her primary when over Trump over the weekend in Washington, DC, so in the which, by the way, what is what is the actual I know what the

registration breaks down to, but I know what the voting pattern does. So that's like what eight percent of the population when you're talking Republican primary is probably less than that, right, because I don't know fully what the independent window is or indeed, be honest, in DC, can you vote across primary? I don't know. But anyway, Yeah, so she got the she got the the DC victory over the weekend, and I mean, I guess from from a publicity standpoint, you got to go out and you got to

treat it as a mandate because that's what candidates do. But some would argue that that actually reflects worse just considering even the Republicans in DC are kind of kind of different. Man. But yeah, and obviously we're getting into ours coming up on Tuesday, and that meant that meant you had you had a lot of folks sniffing around North Carolina, including Haley and Trump, who both

had events here is so we went into the weekend. Anybody go to the Trump event and if our tryad oh, I guess basically anyone from the state could have driven over there. How was that, and especially how was that event if you had been to another one during the twenty twenty cycle or even the twenty sixteen because I went to one in twenty sixteen, I went to two, actually kind of spied on one, but physically went to two, and also went to one in twenty twenty, and I didn't notice a lot

of remarkable differences. But the media has run a bunch of stories saying, oh, he's losing his step all that, and some would say that that might be a little bit of deflecting for another candidate. But I will entertain those spy reports, but do so with a smile, because as candidates are running around asking for your vote. Coming up on Tuesday, the folks up in Washington, d C harder work over at the Centers for Disease Control and

Prevention. Who wants you to know that they are changing their recommendations for quarantine from COVID nineteen. So I know that all of you who follow all recommendations from the CDC, you probably have been doing ten days. Right, That's

where we kind of left this. Remember it was twenty one days, and then it was two weeks, and then that was how many days we're going to solve the whole thing a couple of weeks, and then obviously it went into what it is well now, these Centers for Disease Control says the long standing guidance needs adjusted, saying that people can return to work or regular activity if their symptoms are mild and improving and it's been one day since they've had

a fever, but five days since the initial onset, during which five days you should be uh completely isolated still, But it had been ten days. I have a question was there anyone doing ten days still? And more importantly, was there an expectation by employers that ten days was fine? Right? I know that they they kind of have to, but I don't know a lot of employers have been down with ten days, especially if you're feeling better.

And even even though you could point at the CDC recommendations, that's just like I've had COVID since then. I know people have had COVID and the you know, I missed maybe a few days obviously, but nah, they just came back. The change comes at a time with COVID nineteen is no longer the public health menace. It was, well, I'm sorry, Well, what's changed about it? I mean the way that you associated press by

the way wrote this story, is the threat that different? Because it's my understanding reading these weepy posts about people are like I vaccinated six times and my partner came down with it. Why God, why? Right? You know, posts like that like that's still a thing. Every time I've flown, even since they didn't require to the airlines anymore, I'd say a third of the aircraft is still in masks, which by you know, that's fine,

dude, which you know you do you. I also had the incident where I flew and the woman had the mass with the face shield and was trying to drink with not really removing stuff but kind of like working a straw under there, and then sitting next to me who's not wearing a mask, looking at me like I'm you know, I came here to kill kid or something. So I suspect those, you know, those people who are the lockdown me daddy kind of attitude. They're probably pretty sad about this for a new

Mandy Cohen remember her yip yip yep. She says, our goal here is to continue to protect those at risk for severe illness, while also reassuring folks that there are recommendations which are simple, clear and easy to understand that can

be followed. And remember, during her time as the the top health official here in North Carolina, we have the amazing video where she's standing off to the stage, off to the side, you know, getting ready to come on stage, and the camera is just panned out enough so you can see her over there, and what does she do. She sticks a mask on almost mid stride, then proceeds to get up on the podium while taking the

mask down like she's don't worry. I've been I've been following all the rules in the back, but now I'm on stage by myself, so I can take it down. This is what you know, This is what our recommendation says. And then you point it out and they're just like all of a sudden, the video that some of the news agencies were running, they just kind of clipped off that front part, which is obviously something that none of them would have done. If it was the other way around. That'd still

be a damn meme. Man. However, even with the recommendation, some experts worry that the change may increase the risk of infection for older people and others who are more vulnerable to getting seriously ill. Well, then I would go back to the playe thing. Right, here's the deal. Other than me wondering aloud why you're wearing a face shield with a mask but also drinking under there and you keep putting your hands at your mouth like I may wonder

your logic, I'm not gonna say anything. Do what you want. And yes, even though you're giving me stink eye, she didn't say anything, so we're fine. She'd have said some bigger you know, and then it's

another issue. So what that is is that somebody I don't know medically if she needs that, but if that's what makes her feel comfortable, or she is an increased risk, or she is around older people even as somebody who might appear to be healthy, and she just you know, wants to make sure that she doesn't go back and give it to somebody Like I totally respect that. Do your thing whatever. Cacoda Radio program, Glad to have you along. This is rich dude. I am just during the break there,

I was reading this report. I'm telling you, man, I'm in the wrong gig. The give you know, government money for useless, worthless studies to tell you everything that she already knew that is a lucrative business. All right, everybody sitting down. I don't want to catch anyone off guard on this Monday morning. But it appears now that the numbers are in that crime in New York in twenty twenty three increased in a lot of areas, and

especially in the areas that you know are noticeable to people. And it appears that they've come up with some unique reasons why they think that may be. Now critics, critics of the governor and the mayor of New York and others would point to things like justice reforms, right, cashless bail, basically being a turnstile. If you get arrested one in the morning, you can go out do something in the afternoon and probably still be home for dinner, even

if you get caught both times. But they really dance around that issue in this thing, noting that there is seemingly there seems to be a connection because it appears that people who may be charged for a crime have an increase probability. This is the part you need to be sitting down for of being charged with another crime within the same calendar year. So somebody is I don't know

let's say the carjackings their thing. Everybody's got a different hustle. If you look at the stats here, what you see is that if somebody is arrested, say, let's say you were arrested for let's say Ross tried to carjack somebody leaving the studio today, all right, for whatever reason. I don't know what prompted it. He's just say I need that car and I'm making

mind. And let's say he was arrested for it. There is, according totistics here, a higher probability that Ross may attempt to carjack somebody else even following an arrest, because ultimately, if they're immediately back on the streets or at the very least, it seems like prosecutors aren't taking this stuff seriously.

Why the hell would you stop? DC ran into it, and so they put these numbers out and they're like, well, I mean, some people would speculate that just because people who commit crime or have committed crimes have a higher probability of committing crimes again, that those two things are necessarily linked, and they go through painstaking efforts to go, well, look, you can't, you can't think one thing is necessarily connected to the other We're probably going

to need another study on this, but I've seen everything I need. Study shows that repeat crime, again, this is about repeat crime, and specifically repeat criminals increased in New York. So it's breaking down even the statistic of

just occurrences of the crime. So the deeper layer on that study, which then purports not to be able to make a clear connection, sees that crime committed by an individual multiple times within a year is increased and has been on the increase in New York for a couple of years, but last year was

really the peak of seeing those numbers. Because the crazy person who goes sound to the subway, takes his sports car out and you sings Dixie while screaming at people or whatever his freak is in the Elmo costume, but just the top half, you know, for the bottom half to be free. That if that psychopath is just told, all right, someday maybe we'll do some about this, but not now, he's going to be down there the next

day, sports car in hand, singing his butt off man. And the irony, of course, is the study was actually something that the state wanted to do and the city partnered on along with John Jay College and the Criminal Justice Data Collaborative Effort, which had a lot of facts. Sixty six percent of people released under the bail reform so cashless bail who had a recent prior arrest were rearrested within two years, the majority within one year, and more

than half the time for the very same crime. Because while bail reforms for somebody who is a first timer is the narrative that is generally put out there, right, they're like, you know this is and I understand, right, because you get arrested, you're charged with a crime. It's not necessarily a speedy process. And I'm not saying that everyone has to be remanded. But if you're a repeat criminal dirt bag, chances are whatever you're good at,

you're going to keep doing. Looking at you drug dealing or smashing grabs or going into stores and grabbing whatever you want or carjacking like the example I used earlier. And if it doesn't feel like it could cost you or could cost you any time, so why would you stop you? Obviously you're dealing with people with impulse control problems anyway. The study also showed the sixty seven percent of defendants who had a recent prior felony arrest in the past year were

re arrested within a year. So now when you get into the stuff that really is in your face, you know, like the guy walking down the street just punching people. Guy in Chicago, I know we're talking about New York. A guy in Chicago. What was this like as three hundred arrest or something for doing one of those Hey, I'm walking down the street and I see a random I think it was an Asian woman. Let me just punch somebody's, you know, frail Asian grandma because I'm having a bad day.

And then you look at the rap sheet on guys like that, and then you do this study which literally shows you that even though the narrative you want to talk about is the Hey, this first time the guy was arrested is not who they're dealing with is part of it. And even if you wanted bail reform based on first time, a lot of times that was built. That was kind of baked into the cake when you're arguing for bail.

But if you want to make that part of the discussion, fine, But the problem is you created a system for a guy who he might have stole three cars that morning and this is the round of it, and prosecutors go, well, my hands are tied. I can't do anything. Just to be clear, the John Jay College, this is not This is not some

conservative think tank, right. These are moonbats. These are moonbats who crunched the numbers, came to this conclusion published it actually did a previous one in August of twenty twenty two showing that there was a quick spike in the rearrest rates for people with prior records following the initial implementing of the bail reforms. And this is where we find ourselves. So all the data is there, the stats are there. You paid for the study. The question will be

do you do anything or you just ignore it? And, judging by the quotes on the record, probably just going to ignore it. But that's New York Man. How do I know? All I have to do is look at this crazy Long Island squatter story, which I'll share with you coming up. Hang on one other caveat on that study I mentioned, Here we go, and this is an important one. The recidivism is undercounted. And what I mean by that is going back to the example that I gave of,

Well, it doesn't have to be ross. But somebody who carjacks somebody in January and then basically gets all right, we'll see you in maybe September for a court hearing, but for now, cashless bail back you go. And then if they carjack another car in May, now they've officially been counted as recidivism. However, after that, they could carjack a car every single day, right, and it's still only counted as somebody who is a recidivist offender.

Right, So it doesn't one time versus five times doesn't matter for the purpose of the numbers. So they're already kind of tweaking. It is simply asked, dody go out and commit the same crime within a calendar period. It doesn't matter how many times, And it expressly says when you look at the totals, it is it is only balancing for the act of recidivism, not the numbers. So yeah, it's actually worse. And so I guess when they ignored it'll be a bigger deal. All right, What the hell

is going on in Georgia? Man? So over the weekend, officers were called to the Six Flags park there, which I've never been to the Six Flags in Georgia. I don't even know what part of Atlanta you'd seeing says it's in suburban Atlanta. Let's see where is this Austelle? Is that that's north of Atlanta? Okay, you're a cop county. Yeah, anyway, police receive reports of an unruly crowd. What did it say at the report

of six hundred people? Six hundred individuals, according to park authorities, were engaged in a just like a rolling fistfight, and in fact, a fifteen year old was shot and wounded. I guess technically that was just outside of the park's gates on the service road where the shooting took place. So now whether that firearm was in the park or not, I don't know. But when police showed up, sure enough, they said they estimate five to six

hundred people were running through the park fighting. And when I say running through, the video is mayhem. So you don't just have like a group who's near the you know, maybe they're they're trying to get in or out, and people are grouped together and people are talking and things start, and then it just it went from there. You literally had people that were running to different parts of the park and different attractions and literally fighting there and then filming

it, just upload and film it. There's so much stuff on on Twitter and I'm sure several of the other other ones, but Twitter, I saw a just a parade of these videos this morning, which, by the way, I guess if you had to pick where the where is the peak location to have a throwdown inside an amusement park, like doesn't have to be this one. Let's say you're at Disney, where would you most want to be involved in a melee? Where would you least want to be involved? Maybe

these are things to start thinking of should you find yourself the opportunity. The crowd which consisted, primarily, according to police, of high schoolers and then young adults college age. Let's see where this started about six fifteen in the in the evening Saturday, so just as things are winding down kicking into that you know, nice, it's nice. It was a little early in the year, but that's a nice time to be at a fair amusement park.

Some along those lines, and I suspect it's probably a pop popular alternative for kids who would normally go to a mall and just be burdens on society there, so they can go to the amusement park and look, I was a burden on society back in the day. But I can't I can't even imagine just getting into a full scale melee and filming all of it. And I don't know. I see people saying, well, this is you know, it's because it's six flags. Does that make a difference. I don't know.

Does Disney or Universal do a better job of policing there, because we've seen videos of people going full throttle in the Disney. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is leading an investigation, said that the preliminary information showed that officers responding to assist with crowd controlled near the park's entrance at the time. Eight different fights have been documented. That's an understatement. If you look at

the video there, at some point multiple people began shooting. So this is after police arrived, so they got called pre shooting and as people were running officers heard the shooting. One of the rounds struck a patrol car. Actually, as officers identify where the shots were coming from, they ran after people would run into the woods. During the incident, one officer fired his weapon, hitting one minor. They would teenager taking a Grady Hospital in Atlanta,

but he was in a critical condition on Sunday. The teenager's name not released. So this is why I'm telling you this, because obviously there's going to be more to this story. As the the police did not were not the ones who initially discharged their weapon, but some series of something happened when they

were pursuing those who they thought were discharging a weapon. And I guess I'll be very interested to see if the family holds a press conference or if frankly, the officer shot the wrong person or the correct person or somebody who brandished a gun or whatever it was. I don't think it was well received on

the videos. It was an absolutely chaotic situation. Park officials also pointed out that the actual shooting occurred on Self Service Road, which is not a part of six Flegs, right, But it's clear from the videos that this emanated from inside this Long Island. Specifically, it is a new high park. I guess for people I know, we got I know we have our fair share of former New Yorkers listening. So and a single family home there well

that is where a let's see Denton Gale and Margaret Grover. Okay, all right, so that is the names are two individuals who have told a judge along with a document that, once you learn the facts, is clearly a

forgery. But they have a document saying that they rented a place and it just so happened that they were able to rent the place, this home, very nice home, for just fifteen dollars a month, which, judging by the way that I just presented that to you, is far in a way less than anything you're going to be renting in that area, especially for a

full home. But armed with that information and what they claim is a two year lease agreement signed by the home's former owner, and I say former that would be Edward Iacono, they claimed, hey, this is this is fine now. The neighbors and the former owner's family, the former owner is dead, by the way, claim that no, they are in fact squatters.

The couple who actually have a they have a baby and a pitbull for you know, to squat with, said that they have since they've taken ownership or possession, I should say, following this lease agreement that they say they struck with Edward Iacono, who died in twenty sixteen. The house had been empt and it had been empty because the owner had fallen ill. In fact,

I believe the house entered foreclosure about that time. However, he soon passed away and the ownership of the home, even though it was in the process of foreclosure, then fell to his offspring, and even though the home was transferred, they obviously did something to stop the foreclosure process. They then found out, well, these people are inside, and it turned into a whole

thing. The couple who has been in the home despite it having no heat, electricity, hot water, or working bathrooms, so you can just imagine the damage that is being done, told police they had signed the agreement when initially the homeowners had called and the police said, it's out of our hands.

There's nothing we could do. They appear to have a lease. The officers are told, well, they couldn't have a lease because the person who reportedly signed the lease is dead and has been dead long before the date on there. The property, which is valued at nearly a million dollars, so yeah, fifteen dollars rent please, eventually fell to the possession of his wife and their two sons. However, they all died before they were ever able

to take ownership of the property. Because these dirtbags who, by the way, drive a Porsche on My dad said, nah, this is our place. There's nothing you can do about it. In fact, it then gets worse. Le we play a little audio from this insanity though. Okay, you're not mister Gail. Can I leave you a message and get it to him? Clearly is mister Gale there? They're saying Edingale broke into a dead man's home for said dead man's name on a rent to ole and duped the

Nassau Housing court. Okay, so you're not mister Gale. Oh, I'm a reporter with the New York Post. This is your property. It's not out of Aakano's property. He's dead. He went to the bank, all right, So we got mister Legally's there. Now he didn't he didn't pull out the I'm a traveler thing, but apparently there are some vibes of that with other interactions with police officers. Every member of the family that has owned it has died now again unable to ever realize, including this guy's wife.

Now granted, the wife, it appears, was in an assisted living facility, but the sons who then took possession stopped the foreclosure process. Were never able to sell or occupy the home. They have been in a legal nightmare for years. And you know, I always see these stories and they go, well, you know, they'll get it, they'll get it cleared up

pretty quick. Well obviously not. In fact, even after police have been brought in through this whole process again going back now years and the individual who is said to be squatting, who has arrested see twice for unlicensed operation. So I'm not totally clear when you say unlicensed operation? Was he renting it? Was he conducting business? And there whis crazy? Is is it to

charge you catch? And a homeowner could catch for doing something that they're not zoned to be able doing out of their house, And the government was willing to come in and arrest this dude and cite him for stuff for using this home to conduct some sort of business that he's not supposed to, but wouldn't handle the part where the home is only in his possession illegally. They wouldn't

do anything. So after everything had gone down, video from nearby residents showing this guy literally running towards them, screaming, banging on their door, yelling racial slurs, challenging trying to get folks to come out inside and fight him, screaming cracker at everybody, turning the pit bull loose on people who got too closed or might have creeped into the yard. Then they go to court, right, and finally the now third generation, the former owner of this

says, all right, we're going to court. Now's our day. We're finally going to get these people kicked out. Obviously this is theft. And these idiots show up for court with the same bogus legal document, and when it's pointed out, well, actually that person's dead, their lawyer's argument is, well, maybe it wasn't that person who signed the lease, maybe it was somebody pretending to be that person. And yeah, don't get me wrong, there are people, you know, you see these scams on Craigslist and

other places with rental properties. Right, they get some pictures of a home that's for seal on another website like Zillow, and then they put an ad and they try to get people to send them deposits without looking at the place. That's how that scam works. In this case, they're saying, well, that might be who he got duped by, but in reality it's the same documents. So they show up and the judge goes, I have no

choice but to allow them to stay. So yes, even though even though it is nobody debates that it wasn't the homeowner who signed this, they still decided, well, there's nothing we can do because we don't want to risk people being unhoused. So now it's back in limbo. And by the way, the couple also was arrested again, this time for acting in a manner injurious to a child, as well as I think one of them kind of

rest for resisting when they actually showed up. So the government's getting theirs, they're charging with all those crimes, and they're doing nothing for these homeowners who have been basically unable to use their property for five years, had to make big payments, and probably are going to be on the hook for some sort of substantial renovation project if they've been occupying literally for years without electricity or running

water. God only knows what's up there. After nearly fifty neighbors showed up to court, also to city council meetings, and even wrote letters on behalf of the homeowners explaining what's going on. The judge has decided, well, in this case, I got a air on the side of making sure these folks stay in the house. So back to square one. Have fun with that and drive it a Porsche the whole time must be nice. Seven forty five. Who we got not Ray stage today? Ken Moon in today?

Because Ray is off every other week on this sweet schedule. So oh man, what's going on? Sir? Did he leave you an easy one? I guess is the question. It's not too bad. We do have some showers and storms to deal with as we head through midweek, but temperatures are pretty warm here as we start off the business week, maybe not quite as warm as yesterday, where temperatures got towards the mid seventies. I think we'll be right around the seventy degree mark today. A little more cloudiness out there

today, just a slight chance to see some late day showers. Fifty Tonight, sunny skies, a few clouds and low seventies Tomorrow, and then Tuesday night Wednesday, that's our best chance to see some showers and storms here as we head through the week. High temperatures on Wednesday middle sixties, mix the clouds in sunshine. Thursday high's near seventy, partly sunny Friday, mid sixties and then another chance of rain Friday night into Saturday. Okay, all right,

we'll rinse a repeating an hour. Thank you, sir, appreciate it, all right, And when we come back, we've got a little follow up on a climate change story, the CNN story. Look, I mean networks and media outlets are going to speculate on their competition, but there's a lot of a lot of receipts in this CNN article, and I would hate to think that they could be bankrupt by the end of the year. But we'll explore, let you know what it says, and get to all the

rest coming up. Casey O Day Radio program. Wow, this is this story is a doozy. This is Missouri or Missouri or Misery, depending on how you pronounce it. A one of the folks who wanted in on the Republican primary for governor. What is this guy's name, Darryl mclann in the third Darryl Leon mclan in the third. Anyway, he filed for governor as a Republican. However, the Republican Party they eighty six that, so he's been officially booted by the GOP in Missouri as vying for the gubernatorial seat.

Doesn't mean he can't run, but the Republican Party says it will not give him his denomination. The objection, apparently this dude is it's no secret he's got some clan affiliation. There is some debate as to how much. However, photos and even a video emerged showing him throwing Nazi salutes and thumbs up in front of a burning cross at some sort of event. There's just a whole lot of stuff, and during some initial discussions he didn't deny it.

However, this is where things get weird, because let's see here, mcclann and one of eight people fillowed a petition this week to run for in the Republican primary. I had these photos were common knowledge. The Republican Party said, we condemn any association with hay groups, taking immediate action. There you go, it's the explanation that's got me. The candidate who had run previously described himself as a pro white man horseman political prisoner activists dedicated to conservative values.

Has been photographed with multiple KKK leaders, as well as the infamous cross burning photos, which show him doing either a and he's not in any regalia. People around him are, but he's just he's in you know, standard close and uh. In one picture he's doing a sig hole saloot, and then another one he's doing like the buddy Jesus pose. However, a person close to the candidate said that at that particular incident, he had shown up

to the event but didn't know there was a cross burning. Okay, Ross, Let's say let's say that you had let's see, we had an event you needed to go to, right, a remote visit. Yeah, okay, so let's broadcast, right, pack av let's get going. You got the van, you got all the gear, you gonna there's gonna be a fun two hours. And you roll out there and there's a bunch of dudes

in full clamor gellia burning across. Are you doing a thumbs up buddy Jesus pose in front of that thing even though you didn't know what was part of the program. So what I'm probably doing is taking a photo. You are taking the photo, well, just so I can send it to man and be like this, no, no, no, just so I can you know, take a photo and send it to management and be like, hey, this is why we did not do the broadcast? Are you doing it? We're doing duck lips. I am not in front of the camera.

Well, oh well I want to be a job number one. You're not in front of the camera, correct, all right, you're not just rolling with it. It's my point that I'm making. And I mean, if I was pushed in front of the camera, like forcefully, like you need to take a photo here, I believe the look on my face would be of a disgust and terror. It wouldn't be like hey, yeah, yeah, you'd be like, and this is my this is my end story right

here, this is this is it? Yeah, he went he went a different route after let's see and and oh, by the way, I'm sorry. It's two things. One the photos. Whoops, that's the thing. However, he also accepted an honorary membership at the same event. So at what a fake degrees? You know, these fake degrees that they give people right Well, you know we're gonna say, I'm sorry, no, I'm just saying so like they gave him like a hey, we're gonna give you

this this reward for being here. Well, it's an honorary membership. Man on the member he doesn't have to pay probably, so he's saving money there. Yeah, yeah, no, how's this like, you know what's uh? You know what's that? Idiot? Oh? Who am I thinking of the Is it Kendy Ebrahim Kenny X Right? That guy's got more honorary degrees in more things, but not actual degrees on all of these topics. He was bragging he's got like ten of them. I got honorary degrees from all

these Yeah. Yeah, it's just like that, but it's not a real degree. I guess it's the argument the campaign would make kind of a special Monday, at least from a calendar standpoint. Tomorrow is the primary in North Carolina and apparently Constructions and directly adjacent to me, so god knows what's happening over there. But hey, that's how we started Monday. Ross said the log was also a little jack so everyone's getting it, but it is in these lead up days or in the day before, in the day of.

One of the things that we do around these parts is if somebody is running for office, we make available the airwaves to chat for a few minutes. And the way we kind of divvy it up is today statewide races and federal races, so you know, the congressional seats primarily, and then obviously governor, Council of State and that, and then tomorrow will roll in candidates for you know, House, Senate seats things like that, as well as local

offices. So if you are a candidate and you want to chit chat for a few minutes, say hello, let me ask you obnoxious questions. Call in rossill VETU. We're not scheduled times. You call in, you get but on hold like the people you want to represent, and then we do

this thing. So that's how we do it, phone number eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four and Roussell Ross will go through vetting because I'm assuming you as a candidate don't want some call someone calling in and pretending to be you and being like I love and then insert something. It'll be at an ad so he'll handle that and then we'll get to it. So, speaking of Council of State, we do have a couple of folks holding.

Let's start with Anthony Street, who is running for a state auditor. Good morning to you, sir, How are you doing? Good morning? How are you? I'm pretty good? All right, So you want Beth Wood's old job. You ever monster truck to state car, sir. No, sir. I've been asked questions add all over the state, and I always say I'm not a drinking man, but if I was, I'd call the uber, okay, in monster truck the uber or just have them drive.

I got to follow up your politicians, Okay, let's have them all right, with that out of the way, State, I think most people don't even know what the state auditor does. I'm gonna be honest with you, or maybe they should be doing, and then they don't do. And I think really only thought about the position because all the shenanigans around that story. But state auditor has a lot of important roles. Let's talk about why.

I guess now in an uncontested race, whoever is in there is going to be able to really shape the office for what they want it to be.

And why you think that should be you well, As a physical concervative, I will always been concerned about waste will spending in government at all levels, not just at our federal level, but also at our state got down to our municipalities and school boards and kind of commissioner of boards, and so I have always been interested in the career in the field of public service, have a master's career of public administration, and I just feel less the office

rocket best serve the citizens of tax payers in North Carolina. Okay, well, then how how does the auditor do that? So if you're sitting around your office and there's something going on and I'm trying to think of incidents where the state's coming, well, like Princeville, I guess was an occasion where as a local municipality of the state coming and do stuff. What do you see as the auditor's role in in doing that and how do you accomplish it?

Well, he is she is charged by the constitutions will being responsible for review and how of all the public spending in the state. And the person that says that office has a great amount of power and that they can subtain the documents from from from any agency in the state government agency and review where your tax dollars are being spent and then report to the state legislature and the tax payers on lo here she finds out and empower and uh, an in

formed electric is an empowered electure. So I see it as as a as an appicite needs to be in constitute unication with the tax players to let them know where their dollars are going so they can call up the people they vote for him and raise king until thanks get straightened out. Oh well, and I'm with that. What about the idea of whoever's elected, maybe you or whomever it is, going through and figuring out all the COVID money went.

But that seems like a pretty good, pretty good job. Is that something that you think that you, as a state auditor or be interested in doing? And legally, is that something you can review even though it was, you know, during an emergency declaration? Well, there's something I would would be interested in doing, because I was always very skeptical of the narrative that we were so dear in the COVID COVID pandemic, Right, So I mean

is that? But is that? I guess my quiet? My last question to you, is that something that you think is within the purview of the Auditor's office to be able to do. I think that all sure would have the legal authority to sign out a great deal of that. Yeah, somebody needs to is is my point. You got a website, sir, it's down at the monument, But we'd have to have it back up. Okay, all right, well I appreciate the call, Anthony Street calling in.

Uh, and we'll talk. Well, we'll see how tomorrow goes and go from there. Thank you, sir, Yes, sir, thank you for tom Yeah, absolutely all right, And then I clicked the right thing there can I actually put fine on hold? Hey, look at me? All right? Yeah, yeah, let's get more one more in here. Seth Woodall's running for lieutenant governor, another race where there's not going to be an incumbent, and uh, it'll be very very interesting in North Carolina to see

how the statewide races pan out. So I can then listen to people say that they were gerrymandered, because they'll understand what the word means. So, uh, let's chat with Seth here real quick, Seth, how are you doing this morning? I'm good, Casey, how are you? I'm good. Let me ask you the question I think a lot of people ask when they hear about lieutenant governor's job, The hell does lieutenant governor do? I have done this before and mark this, so I would hope somebody coming in

has pretty clear a vision of what they think the office is. So tell me what yours is there for sure. So there's fourteen statutory duties. I can go through those if you want me to, or I can just just leave it at Yeah, I mean put your vision for for what do you think the rule is? Like, I understand the Board of Education all that stuff, but you've got to have something that's in your craw that makes you

want to do this. So what is that? Well, basically, basically, the Lieutenant governor is going to act as a liaison between the governor and the General Assembly. So that's that's kind of what the obligations are going to be. So it's going to be a lot of negotiating, a lot of convincing, but working directly with our governor, who I am certain is going

to be Mark Robinson. But we gotta gotta dispense with all of the liberal politicians we have starting at the time and get people in like Mark, and thankfully we have a super majority in the uh Journal Assembly, so you know, work directly with all of those fine politicians to make sure that we can advance our conservative causes. Okay, and uh, I guess the one.

The follow up is what if it's not Mark? Because if there's one thing I've noticed it's that nobody wants to work with anybody unless they're literally forced to, and even in the case of people within the same party. And yeah, well that's you know, so what do you do with the Josh Stein in there? Because Ray Cooper ain't talking to the Republican Council of State people does whatever he wants, and that's that's unfortunate, that's unfortunate. But that's

not going to keep me from stopping. So they're going to hear from me on a daily basis, regularly, and they're just going to have to tell me no, okay, but yeah, go ahead, I'm sorry. They it's it's a shame that partisan politics is developed to where it is today. Uh. And I think that's what you know, separates me from a lot of the others. I'm not a politician. We need to we need uh.

Mark Robinson said it Winny patriots, not politicians. And so they're gonna hear from me on a regular basis and they can tell me no as much as they want. But with that being said, fully convinced Mark Robinson, we'll be our next governor. What's your back at your lawyer? Right? Yeah, I'm I'm gonna party trade. Yeah, I don't hang out around your day. You're from Eden, just for in case folks wondering. So I you know, the cliche is you look at politicians, half of them

are lawyers. But it does provide a little bit of upside. So let's talk about especially the Lieutenant Governor's office when you're talking about liaising, so much of that is politicking and and uh and just trying to wrangle folks. Uh. You feel you feel your background sets you apart because you're not the only one on the ballot obviously, so yeah, there's there's several others. But

yeah, I mean I think that sets me apart. You know, I've been doing this since two thousand and six, and I've been quite successful at it and will continue to negotiate and whatever means I have to. So I do believe that my experience since two thousand and six has basically given me the

ability to negotiate with whoever. I mean, honestly, I've negotiate with some of the or I get some of the largest companies in the country against other attorneys, and so, you know, I think that if you ask anybody who's ever been represented by me, they would tell you that I've got a true gift in that. Well, we're in an era of law. Fair right to use the term that a lot of people are seeing show up now, But basically it's the suit of your blue where you have judges. If

you just find the right judge, you can get stuff done. And I never felt the Republican Party had a good answer for that. Hell, it took outsiders to come in and slap Josh Stein's hand down over him trying to sit there with Mark Ellias and do whatever he wants. But ultimately, lawsuits are the name of the game. So how do Republicans start to counteract that, you know, if you're part of the Council of State, Because they don't seem to be doing a good job. So well, we've got to

stand up to it and be bold and fight back. I mean, so if there's going to be lawsuits filed by people like Josh Stin, you know we're just going to have to defend those vigorously on behalf of the Republican Party. I mean, that is the only answer is to fight back. You've got to fight fire with fire. Okay, So should they be filing lawsuits? I mean they file a lot of motions and response, but they don't

file their own lawsuits very well. I'm not saying that we need to jump on board with the liberal idea to sue every time that you're just dissatisfied with the result. But there's certainly circumstances that were justify and if the statute and law you know, allows and it should be litigated, we feel strongly about then we should file. But I am again, I'm not one of the

attorneys who are running around filing lawsuits for the sake of filing lawsuits. I think a lot of a lot of what's going on with the Democratic Party filing lawsuits over voter ride d and they're just trying to muddy the waters to get their way. So again, I'm not at all supporting the idea that more lawsuits need to be filed, but we've got to defend them vigorously, and if necessary, we do need to file lawsuits. Got a website, Seth Yeah, sethwall dot com. All right, that's Wood, like you know

wood and then all a LFO. All right, well, good luck to you, sir, and we'll see how it goes tomorrow. Okay, all right, thanks Kasey, all right, thank you, kc O Day Radio program phone number eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four. Like I said, we're doing the the candidate thing, and oh look at that. All right, So we got more of those coming up, plus quite a few stories to get into. We'll do it next thing on cac O

Day Radio program. As we sit a day ahead of of the primary in North Carolina Super Tuesday, we're all all up in that we're doing that thing. We normally do try to talk to candidates. We'd like to reward those who listen to the show, so we just we provide the opportunity. Today we're doing federal offices statewide, and then tomorrow we'll get into more of the

local races. And if you got an ear to the radio or eye to the TV, or you drive past billboards, you're probably aware that there's a bit of a contentious primary race in the first District and this will likely be when you get into the general. This is likely going to be the most competitive of the congressional races. So this is not exactly the old school division. You know, first District going back to two cycles ago or had this

octopush from Durham over the coast, but it is a broad territory. And one of the folks running the primary is Lori buck Out, and she joins us, good morning to you. How you doing today? Hey, good morning, how you doing? I'm pretty good, Lori buck Out, Yeah, yeah, it's uh. You guys got a doozy going on over there, easily the most the most ads I think we have running on the show. I got to ask you just because I have you, and in fact, I'm going to do this with audio. I want to know. Let

me flip over to my button bar. Here here we go. All right, so this is an ad that's currently being run by a pack. Is it the Rolling Pa? Well, we'll find hold on, I got it in the ad here. I just want to know why you murdered all the branch Davidians. Hang on, all right, so here we here, hold on, here we go. All right, here is the spot. But I no, seriously, I do want to ask about this because this is one of the things that's out there. But here's the spot. And just

emerged about Laurie Buckout's role pushing Democrat propaganda for the Clinton White House. We now know that liberal Laurie not only applied for the Clinton job, but the Clinton white House betted and selected personnel very carefully. Liberal worked with the Clintons for three years. During that time, her office was accused of covering for the Clintons and was cited by congressional investigators for holding back information about the Monica

Lewinsky scandal and the Waco murder House. Oh that's right, you hit the dress too, all right, So no, but but seriously, people hear all of this stuff out there, and you know, everything is like what when you look into it. A lot of times it's you're getting part of the story. But it is an ad and I understand that. But the reality is, this is what is the most common thing I hear that you served within the Clinton White House or during the administration and as a result,

you're way too moderate and you came down here just around mind. But no, I is there is there truth even during the I guess the time you were working there. I mean, what's going on here? Oh? Man? You know, first off, I want to say, that's just sick and unhanded, and that uh the one and could not be more desperate, And it's kind of sad when you're going after you know, frankly are going after a decorated combat vet in the veteran but here so I'll explain the deal

on that. It is disgusting though, So by line is the military serves a whole lot of people and you'll see them everywhere. So back in the nineties I got selected to serve with the White House Military Office. So here's what they do. The folks who fly Air Force one, they're all Air Force. They work for that office. All the folks who fly the Marine Helicopter Squadron for the President, they're all with that office. The drivers that

drive staff around are with that office. The folks who work the National Security Council, and they're all folks in uniform and they're all a political The millaid who carries the football, the nuclear football. I mean, you know, there are five military aids and I was a backup to those. As a matter of fact, of something happened, we would step up and take care of that. But your job is to serve the commander in chief. So it was actually like a big deal to be selected for that. And the

communications you do are telecommunications. You do phone, radio, emergency backup, making sure that the president can access nuclear relief. If he needs to write, we provide communications to the Secret Service. Like if you see them walking around talking into their sleeves, we do all the radios for that to make sure that they can talk and protect the President, the commander in chief. So telephones, radio, I mean, all that sort of stuff. Even

drivers are provided by the military. But a couple of things. Number One, I'm a lifelong Republican. My first vote ever was for Ronald Reagan. Voted nothing but Republican ever since then. Number Two, you are prohibited strictly by law from behaving in any political in any political way when you are inside the White House working for the Command in Chief and his staff. Number Three, I wasn't even there when Monica Lewinsky was there. I was there before

that. I don't even know what that's about. Number four, it's a four year tour. I left a year early because I was so disgusted by the corruption in the White House that you just see even though you're not a part of it. So in fact, a lot of folks did. It was a very unpopular assignment to have. We thought it was going to be George Bush going in and you're proudly serving a good conservative commander in chief, but we saw a lot of corruption and I hated it, so we left

a year early. So you know what, though, I don't get anyone who's in the White House serving in that job a hard time because it's a proud thing to do, to serve the commander in chief if he's honorable, and you're doing a lot of stuff, you know, you know Dan Bongino, Yeah, does that ring a bell? Yeah, make a serv of guy. I know him as a secret service guy, but yes, yes, so a service guy who no doubt served a bunch of Democrats and Republicans

because he had a career, right right. I saw him on Obama. There's pictures, there's pictures of him obviously holding the car door for Obama. So yeah, that's right, it's I mean, it's just part of the job, you know. So do you hate him for that? Well, but I would point out that mister Vinman, I mean, in the same capacity, right, was serving in it well, but serving in a military capacity, and that's you couldn't call that unpartisan. So that's why I asked

these questions. And so yeah, let me let me tell you what. Nope, but you're right, and that Vinment is a nasty guy. Probably might even be a member of Congress. You're pretty quick, right because he's But all right, so the knock, the knock on the I'll get to the positive stuff here in a moment, but the knock is that your your short, short residency in North Carolina. I know that some people that we

have a lot of transplants. That's generally a campaign issue. I saw that they were floating video from a traffic stop with you, So it seems like all we've heard about is the background there. And I'll let you respond to any of that. But I'm kind of curious whether it's you or Sandy or whomever gets in there, what they're going to do because historically the first district has been a ready blue check and we have a much more competitive race.

So why with all of those things that people may have questions about, do you still feel that you're the superior candidate? Well, I feel I supirit to candidate because all the things that are going on about me are untruth or have truths just straight out lies from a desperate opponent. Now, I want

to tell you this is our fifth run from public office. She's currently over four A new ad just came out from a pack called Rolling Seas, and we found out about it because the radio station called us and said, hey, we're fixing to run this this ad. Here's a twenty nine thousand dollars buy. I just heard it on another radio station. It's paid for by Democrats and it's for Sandy and against me, So have a listen for it.

At the end, it says paid for by Rolling Seas pack and they are supporting Democrats and Don Davis, and they want him to take on Sandy in the fall because she's lost to him. Once lost a butterfield. Before that, she took on Tilla's, she took on Greg Greg Murphy, and she just seems to be desperate to somehow get into office. And I think she's going to be like the dog that caught the car if she ever does. She has no record of success in her entire life. I served in

might you know. I served my country. I raised a healthy, happy family, been married to my husband for twenty nine years, who's a West Point graduate and a great guy. And I started a business that she's actually called a more profit here, and it was a business to stop soldiers from getting blown up by IED's we save countless lives. I will never apologize for that, and I'll never apologize for running success business that gave over one hundred

folks great jobs. And you know, a business person, you pay yourself last, and I did. And my friends know how we struggled those first years of me paying myself last and making sure all my folks had a paycheck, a good paycheck and benefits. So you know, I mean, yeah, I'll ask your opponent. I'll ask I'll ask your opponent this as well.

But just with the the nature of the ads that are going back and forth, if the if the voters tomorrow say the person we want running is Sandy or they write somebody in, I guess, are you still going to get out there? And because this is an important congressional seat for Republicans right everything's razor thin right now, and the ability to potentially flip this is a big deal. So how do we make sure that the primary doesn't kill the

ability in the general for Republicans to get that seat? Well, you know what, I think Republicans have to come together and support the w uh Frankly, I think my opponent has integrity challenges. It will be very hard for me to do that, but we have to flip the seat. It's going to be very difficult for me, frankly, because I uh, you know what. An officer doesn't lie, toe ter, steal or tolerate those who

do, and it can be hard. Well, and and again I'll because I'm sure we've talked to Sandy during our last run, you'll probably call in and I'll ask her the same same question. There. What's your website, Laurie, It's Lori buck Out l A U R I E b U c K h O U T for congress dot com. Okay, all right, so the h in there. I just want to remind folks they're googling it. Yeahuse God only knows what some of the weird stuff we've seen in congressional

races and fake websites. Now, so all right, I'll also take a look at the Rolling Seas pack, which is supporting Sandy. Okay, all right, Well, we got it out there and I'll be listening for it and others should as well. Lorippreciate the time this morning, Okay, thank you, thank you, and take care, yeah you too. All right, there you go, Lori buck Out here on the Kcoday radio program or my whole button apparently doesn't work anymore. All right, we'll we got more

interviews coming up, but got Ken Boone from the Weather Channel. He's hanging out and let's talk to him first. And ah, yes, I'd like an order of summer. You could handle that, sir, I'd be great. Well, we've got some pretty warm temperatures again. Temperatures are going to be a good bit above average here as we head through the early part of

the business week. Slightly cooler as we get into midweek as we'll see some showers and even storms, but still temperatures are going to remain above average. That's a trend that'll carry us through the end of the week. So out here today, we'll see a little sunshine mixed in with the clouds from time to time, and then late this afternoon into this evening there is a slight

chance that we could see a few showers move through. Temperatures today upper sixties to near seventy fifty tonight, more sunshine mixing in with the clouds tomorrow all the way up into the low seventies, and even better chance for showers rumbles of thunder overnight Tuesday night and through Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon load to mid sixties and then back to sunshine Thursday with highs again in the upper sixties to near seventy degrees. All right, Ken Moon Weather Channel, Thank you, sir.

We'll you tomorrow. Hey, I'll be back tomorrow. Right, very good. We'll talk then and we'll come back. We've got Jeff Bellinger and we'll grab one more quick candidate to get to know you in just a few Hang on, Jeff Ellinger from Bloomberg News. Jeff, what's going on? Well, Dwarring Casey, you always happy to make your mondays complete. Stocks that started the month with a positive session on Friday. Gains for the major

averages range from a quarter percent more than one percent. Futures a little bit lower this morning. S and P futures down ten as back futures are down two the now futures are down one hundred and sixty eight points at the moment. No big surprise that we're seeing some caution on Wall Street. We'll be hearing from Fed cher Jerome Powell today and also a lot of economic indicators will

be coming up in the lead up to the Labor Department's employment report. We get that on Friday, some quarterly results from big retailers will get attention. This week. Target kicks things off with its report tomorrow. Jet Blue just announced this morning the merger deal with Spirit Airlines has been terminated. Jet Blue says the companies mutually agreed to end the pact. Until now, they had

been appealing a decision by a Boston federal judge who blocked the merger. Private equity firms trying to buy Macy's not taking no for an answer, they've increased their offer. Macy's rejected the original twenty one dollar a share bid from ourk House Management and Brigade Capital, saying it lacked compelling value. So over the weekend, the two suitors sweetened their bid to twenty four dollars to share,

hoping Macy's will find that more compelling. Half of all Americans who have applied for a loan in the two years since the Federal Reserve started hiking interest rates have had their applications rejected. A survey by bank Rate found that younger people and parents with minor children were the most likely to be denied. Whole food setting its sites on the Nation Cities. The Amazon owned grocery chain announced this

morning it plans to open you small format stores in urban areas. Whole Food's Market Daily Shop outlets will be a fraction of the size of the chain's current stores. They will not have buffet bars or meat counters. They'll be designed to serve urban customers who want to get in and out quickly. And Casey, a crafts retailer, is struggling. Sources say Joanne is considering filing for bankruptcy and turning control of the company over to lenders. Joeanne sells fabric and

craft supplies. It has about eight hundred and fifty stores across the country. Casey, Yeah, I know why they're hurting too. They were mean to Ross. If you go in to buy fabric and you're a dude, all the women customers are judging you say so, well, yeah, so don't do that. I guess all right, Thanks, Jeff, appreciate it, Okay, have a good day. Yeah. Was that Joe Ann's or Michaels

Ross? I can't remember. Joe it was Joe Ann's. Your wife sent you to get there, like you're getting to give you the stink guy? Yeah, why is there a man in here? What's going on? All right? We had a couple of different candidates call in. I'm gonna go. We're gonna chat real quick with one. Just reminder for the state wide and national candidates, even though tomorrow I open it up for everybody else.

Well, you guys can still call in. So that's you know, so market down, get ready, but don't call and try to schedule something. You'll have to call in. All right. We chatted with well, one of the candidates for NC State Auditor Republican nomination here is Charles Dingy. He's another Charles. How you doing this morning? Good? Are you good? I got to open it with the smart ask question first, Uh, pro or against using state vehicles to monster truck other vehicles? I didn't think i'd

have to ask this. Okay, all right, that's you're against? All right? So what do you think that maybe we should have a maybe we should have a driving test requirement for anybody looking to run to be a statewide official. I don't know, man, Look, if you're at a demolition derby, I wouldn't I wouldn't make That's fine, go ahead and do that, but downtown Raleigh not so much. And the other candidate we talked to

from was from the triad. I can't remember. I'm sorry, but let's let's talk about you in your background, your triangle, your business owner. What makes you qualified to be auditor? Well, I mean, first off planet simple, I'm going to be a thorn in the side to every level of government. That's my goal of what I plan to do with the office. In terms of what makes me qualified is I've got management experience, I've got a background in banking, and I'm a small business owner. You can

bind those three. That makes me uniquely qualified to be the best person to actually lead and direct this office. And that's what it's about. Being the state auditor does So how does the office roots teeth? The question I asked one of your opponents. But I think a lot of people are wondering, is I've done one hundred stories on the money having anything attached to COVID and where it went and how you literally have trillions unaccounted for and rampant theft.

But somebody drilling down at the state level, what does that look like and how high is that a priority for you? It's definitely high on the list. I mean people across the state. As I've traveled over ninety counties have come to me and said, we don't know what happened with all this COVID money that came in, and nobody's looking. I mean, even the federal

government has admitted that they don't really know where the money went. So for me, those are federal funds that would be under the purview of the Auditor's office. If they came in in the form of grants, or if they came in through the General Assembly for funding, it would be under the purview of the state auditor. If any government entities received COVID funds, that's under

our purview. And those are the things that we're going to be looking at to put out there in a way that's simple for anybody to understand exactly what the government did with your mind and hold them accountable to it well. And that is that's where people wonder if the teeth are there, because we've seen you. You've been a part of the Republican Party. You've been very active

to kind of behind the scenes for people don't know like it. Republicans talk a good game, but it seems like when it gets drilled drilled down to investigations and people being held accountable. I I wonder if Republicans have the stones for it. I mean, okay, all right, well go ahead, No, I would agree with you one hundred percent, because half the time they go up there, we elect these people, they say one thing and

they do it completely opposite, and it's ridiculous. I mean, we have gotten complacent with allowing government to waste our time and money and nobody holds them accountable. That's not what I'm gonna do, though. I'm going to be out there to be a thorn in the side every single day, and if I can't remove get somebody removed from office, I'm going to make sure everybody

in the news knows what's going on. I'm going to be at those local meetings for whatever agency or entity it is, so people know these people wasted your money and here's how you can get rid of them. I'll be at the General Assembly lobbying day in and day out. If we find out that people wasted your money and there's nothing I can do about it, I'm going to be out there using this position as a bully pulpit to get rid of these people. Because it's time that people are actually held accountable.
