Okay, do you Uh, Ross and I were just getting a little football, back to porth, back to fourth off the air. I have given up on the season. If you not heard where I'm at, so that we can literally have a what should have been? I know it was a pick them numbers wise, but a sure thing for the Vikings and we sucked so and what made it even worse is the Packers were getting shut out and then uh the New Orleans quarter what out? And the Packers ended up somehow
winning in like the last whatever minutes. So you know, my team loses the Nemesis wins. I have a reason to be upset. I tell Ross, hey, man, Bills look solid and you're still nervous. Oh yeah, completely. Even yesterday, like going to the fourth quarter, I'm like, I we might win this game just being a Bills fans, just the Ears of football. Yeah, I mean, it is not over till it's over. And I've said, how many stuffy how many picks? Four picks,
five turnovers and nine sacks? I mean that's good. Right, have not seen a defense like that, that sort of stat line since the eighty five Bears. If you play in a fantasy league with the defense good day for you. Yeah, and fine Miller comes back in two weeks, So that's what that von Miller. So that's a positive. That's However, you have this team scoring seventy points and two is looking awesome, Yeah, Tyreek Hill looking awesome. You haven't seen a performance like that a nineteen sixty six
don't leave? What ll out? Yeah? What's the battle? But he's not playing. What's that? He's not playing? No, but he will come back. He will. So I said they scored seventy without him, So I'm not feeling very good about Sunday. Okay, all right, Yeah, I thought you were looking into the future though, so I was prognosticating. I don't know, man, you're playing them what you're at home or down in Miami at home? Well, that's good, so they can't try to roast you on that. True. So I mean, you've got an
amazing defense. You've got a good offense. When when Josh Allen isn't just saying if it and just the own it down the field, you know, ninety yards, but like with a slight flick of his wrists, right there there goes the ball. Yeah. So yeah, I put two that Miami teams looking so good, like a good team. However, this is the nonsense I'm then presented with of this is this is the ultimate Whoever came up with this should be a political spin room person. Go ahead, ross your
defense and the numbers comparable to already said that. What's that? I already said that. I understand that. She said that. I'm having you reiterated because I didn't retain it. Eighty six Bears, eighty five Bears, eighty five Bears. Yeah, you haven't seen a stat line like that, so I don't know. I thought that was pretty good, and then I thought everything was lost because it didn't balance out. Packers won, Vikings lost. Happy for Ross I eat in another the Patriots, Patriots, even though they
won, that was a horrible game. Did you see anything from it? I did not, so just other division rivals doing away with their own thing. And then an amazing thing happened. The worst team in football, the team that everyone is I think there's lawsuits in this already, the team that they think is tanking it for the draft pick, ran for like one hundred and eighty yards on the Cowgirls in the first half and just destroyed them with
their quarterback. Really doing nothing and that was supposed to be the most vaunted defense this year. So Stagic is not going to be in a good mood. Oh, I didn't even hear is he? Is he doing the weather this morning or he call in sick? Yeah, we'll have to. I think it's Ray, but I wouldn't be shocked if he was. Can you believe Arizona and it just beat him a little. I'm not gonna lie.
So I was at the gym this morning at like three am, and they have all the big TV's up and stuff, and like they're showing this score and I had to do a double team, like there's no way, dude. They lost to Arizona and after the performance we've seen from them in the past two weeks. And I got to watch all three of my cowboy friends all together, having to watch all that after giving me all the grief over the Vikings thing, because we were in the first games, Dallas was in
the second game. These individuals spent the entire Viking game trash talking them rightfully so because they're really not good. And then what happens with Dallas happens, and one by one, each of them left before the game was over. Out of there. So by the time the final score flashed, I looked over and the last dude was then he was finally leaving the only one who had the I guess respect to us stick around and take his rebuttal on that.
So alright, six thirteen CA c O Day radio program. You know have. Being a police officer has some perks. This might be one of the weirdest ones. Uh. Pennsylvania State Police trooper Ronald Davis committed his ex girlfriend, but he did so using police power. I'll give you the details of this. We've all had a crazy X. Not sure this is how it works. We'll do it next. Hang on, this is one oh six one FM Talk in the Triangle and News Talk ninety four five w PTI
and the Triad. All right, good morning here on the Case radio program. Checked this out to Pennsylvania. All right, So, uh, what is this guy's name? He's at Pennsylvania State trooper all right, a Pennsylvania State Police trooper basing false imprisonment charges after he allegedly violently detained and then forcibly
committed to a mental health hospital or treatment program. Ronald Davis was arrested Thursday and accusations he used his police authority to help grease the skids on an involuntary commitment of his ex. I guess she was. Let's just say she was reaching out to him a lot. I don't know, man, everybody probably says, oh, you know, I have an ex. Wu's a nightmare, but for a different reason. I don't know. At what point though, you can just unilaterally be like, yeah, you know what, we're
just gonna sticking in a hospital. But you know what, I bet the calls stopped and the text. How long was she in there before they figured it out? M okay, so with her claiming as he exaggerated her mental health problems, Yeah, I probably can't do that. Here we go. How long four months? Well? Okay, all right, Well that's the video. Yeah, that's the that's the arrest video. The whole thing is weird, man, I don't even know why it's on video. Ross.
You have a crazy X back in the day that like text you call you stick things to your I have had several. Oh wow, I've probably had more than a handful. If you could have involuntarily committed one just to get a little piece and quiet, I mean, would you definitely not would would be horribly wrong. Why are you right? Inappropriate? Why are you right?
There's so many names? What do you know? I told you I knew it was I knew Markie was amazing when I met her because she was so not like anybody else said dated because she was not insane, because I thought that was normal. I dated these girls over and over, and I thought these dysfunctional relationships, I thought that was normal. I thought it was like and then suddenly, after dating Markie for like two weeks, I was like, this is so easy. It was like those women were completely insane.
She didn't accuse you of anything just to start a fight for tons of those examples, right, yes, yes, yes, yes, not that somebody would do that because they craved drama twenty four to seven. But you can't, you know, abuse your police powers to do it. I wonder how many people Boston Paul's had thrown in the clink back in the day when they were uh going after the likes of who is who is the famous arrest?
I can't remember anyway, six twenty two k c O Day radio program, Hang on, oh no, I'm sorry we took the Ross is staring at me like I'm crazy this morning. Now I'm crazy because I'm updating my word right now and so I'm having to literally not be able to use my word document because it said it would take a minute, and we're about six minutes into this bad Boy all right? Anyway, two eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seventy four the phone number. Okay, here we go,
speaking of you know, couples. In the news, a woman is in custody after police say that she drove two hours to shoot her estranged husband in bed Ross. You saw the story, you saw the mug shot. Is is something and you believe or don't believe. You know, I haven't seen the evidence. I've just seen I've odd just seen the must much and yeah, you know she's seen some stuff, you know, like what rough life, like meth. Probably, I don't know, maybe, I mean,
I don't know. I'm just what's on her face? I think that's her face. She didn't she didn't start for Miami yet. That stuff under the eyes and some charcoal or something singing camouflage. She was hiding in the shadows before she shot him in the in the bad Yeah, did did she look remorseful? Though? In the mug shot. You're using to judge this woman, I would I would say, no, she did not look remorseful. M would you say that she looked something opposite of remorseful or just even
you can go just even? Or was there something she sort of like she was happy? I would say I was happy, pleased, joyful. Maybe there's other words you could use, you know, like one that starts with oh, she was ends with ike. Think about it. Yeah, she looked like she had no more cares man, and no capacity to probably think past this instant gratification. The eighty year old man told police that he and his wife had been separated for months getting a divorce. He changed the locks.
However, some keys and other items had gone missing. He thought the wife had taken them. Let's see here, she was driving over. Well, if you want to, this is where you commit somebody. She kept driving very far because she moved away a couple hours and I would drive back, like literally almost daily to beg for him to take her back. After the two began arguing and separated for several days, that's when they say that
she decided enough was enough. She showed up one more time, told him she's not changing the divorce, you know, denial, and the husband said, yeah, well so sad. So she pulled out a gun and shot him as he's lying in bed. According to police, he was able to get out of bed and actually take her down after she shot him. Called nine one one, good lord man, what was she doing? So she oh, she was hooked on forgery and theft charges as stolen check. So
I don't know if it was meth. It might have just been pure greed or or all of those. Because sometimes when you really like meth, you really like stealing money to get meth. So yeah, sorry, just look at one more time. With that, we'll tweet out the story at Casey on the radio, and you can decide if we've judge prematurely. Now here we go, all righty go man, word document back, very happy. So Joe Biden last week goes to the Latino or the Latin Conference or LATINUS
or whatever the hell they're calling it at the White House. Goes to the Congressional Caucus for Hispanic lawmakers annual awards dinner. They're you know, they're retiring numbers and well they're nuns. I don't know that they have numbers, but you know it's a big deal he's being asked to speak for. And then he keeps referring to him as the Congressional Black Caucus. And you know some have wondered, why do you keep wheeling them out? Well, lo and
behold, here we go. He just can't within one week's time decide not to go to this award show and honor L L. Cool J. Remember, Ross, you know what L cool J stands for? Right? What LLL cool J stands for? I'm sure I knew it at some point. At this point eighties love cool J. Okay, when I learned that, I lost a lot of respect for him, I thought it was gonna be
something much cooler as an initials guy myself. There's a story there, but it was Ladies love cool James. But if you're the president of the United States, you got another the great artists of our time, representing the groundbreaking legacy of hip hop in America. Ll J cool Ju. By the way, that boy's got he got, man's got biceps bigger than my thighs. I think he's spent. By the way, do you find it creepy how often he come on somebody's bicep size didn't he just do that to the governor
of Maryland. He did just do the same thing. Yeah, it seems like it's like a like a like a safety net, like a like a crutch whatever joke, you know what I mean. Like, but that sounds like something somebody would use if they were having I don't know, intellectually diminished episodes, you know what I mean, find that thing to fall back on. So he can't get the name right. And then some people also were like, I don't know that you should call him a boy. So yeah,
that's nice. One statement, one sentence, and multiple people offended for different reasons. L l J. Cool boy. Yeah, all right, six twenty eight, hang on the show. After the show's on the iHeart Radio app. Search Casey for the podcast on the iHeart Radio app. All right, we'll get into We'll get into the Senator Menendez stuff. I know,
a corrupted Jersey politician. I too am shocked this morning. And remember this dude had some previous legal troubles and people stood behind him, and you know, one of those was an accusation he was doing the whole adrenochrome thing, but he was potentially hooking up with some pretty young kids in the Dominican Republic, and then when you couple it with now all this stuff, you
got democrats running around going you gotta resign. We'll get to those details here in just a moment, because just to put in perspective, because Ross was offering stats there about the Bill's defensive effort yesterday, which was very good. But the big talking point is obviously unfortunately your division rival of the Dolphins, and I was just looking at other games in an old time score situation because they you know, they said obviously a Dolphins record, but they did not
send here we go the NFL record. All right, so this is how many how many points people scored in recently? Let's see here. Oh, now that's not loading. What's going on with the Twitter and the internet this morning? Ross? Did you have problem getting the Twitter to load the videos and pictures? Did you take the update? Wasn't there an iPhone update? Maybe that's what it is. Let's see here, Yes, you had too. Let's see four touchdowns from scrimmage in the same game are Kane and most
it was it was just stupid yesterday. If you watched any of that Dolphins game, because we kind of had it off on his side TV and like every time we turn over, some Dolphins player was running into the end zone trying to see who had the most of all time, and then it just shut the little thing. So well anyway, but yeah, it was. It was absolutely crazy. Here's so TWOA had three hundred nine yards four touchdowns, which is good. Then they had a backup in who continued to scoring
them. The defense did what they did, so m I mean, yeah, it was a it was a crazy football day, all right. Let me get over to non football people are a little upset, little upset following a round of applause given in Canada about what is this guy's name? Do do do do do? Oh? Wait? Yeah, so this guy comes over, he's uh, he's where's this the Canadia? They have the caption here, So it's Ukrainian President Zelinski, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau standing on the
stage, bunch of clapp and seals recognizing Yaroslav Unka. Okay, all right, he is Canadian by patriation, but originally he fought with the first Ukrainian Division of the Second World War, immigrated to Canada and they fought in a very specific capacity that group they were under knots. They were under the Nazi command structure. Now I understand that it's that tenuous, you know, second connect there, but it was part about screwing with Russia too on the flip
side. But they took orders from the Nazis. Man So he goes to Canada after all this. He wasn't running a camp or anything, but he was serving in that capacity. Goes to Canada and then on one of these days like all right, all you veterans show up, got a big thing here, thought, you know, I did fight in a war. I'm
gonna go down there. So the question is is that on? Because I love making fun of Trudeau, it's so easy, But is that on Trudeau and Zelenski don't get me started on the you know, all the Nazi back and forth on the Ukraine stuff, or is it just look, they didn't check a giant group of veterans who looked like they're immobile almost so they probably are not a big security threat, and they thought, well, you know, kind of fits in with all the rest for I'm going to sit there
and do individual checks. Is they're making it sound like Trudeau's people invited specific members there and I have not seen anything, but you know, Twitter gonna twitter. It was introduced to Parliament as a ninety eight year old soldier who fought against the Russians, a hero. So obviously they did not interview him and ask him what he was up to or he lied. Let's see, here is what said. It's from the article the red and black flag has
historically represented the Bandera movement in Ukraine. Stephen Bandera, national Ukrainian politician. Right, so he's like, we're against Russia. The Germans don't like Russia now, even though they just had an agreement with them, and we're gonna go ahead and we'll just join up with them. The enemy of my enemy. So but it's not one of those things they talk. If you watch a World War two documentary, you get a lot of because you know,
Nazi gold and stuff. But all told, Bandera and his fellow collaborators, this guy included, are said to or has suspected to done, or committed the mass killings of up to one hundred thousand Jews and Poles over the course of the war, though they couldn't individually connect this guy too any specific deaths. So yep, but he got himself, he got himself Canada's highest honor, and the fact that he had Ukraine blood was what drew him to go
see Zelenski. So you're shocked, I'm sure, all right eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four Beck told that I did have. Yeah. Here is, by the way, from the event we have here in the chamber today, Ukrainian Canadians, Ukrainian Canadian world veteran from the Second World War who fought the Ukrainian independence against the Russians and continues to support the troops today. So no understand they realize in what capacity he fought. They are
blissfully unaware of what that means. And they're still honoring him even though they're saying he fought against the Russians, who, if I remember correctly, the Canadians were with us, right, you know, you think about Normandy and the various beaches there. What people fail to realize is those are not all US troops. They were British troops, Canadian troops, people from many many
places. So when they're fighting against the Russians, who, for the purpose of World War Two was in fact our ally, shouldn't that immediately give you pause? If you're the poor guy's got to sit up there and read that. And do you think they really did the vetting or they just like said, hey, anybody in Canada of Ukrainian heritage maybe served and just took whatever he wrote down, didn't even bother to check him. Man, is everybody
clapping seals? They could be. They're clapping very excited. Big moment may have smarily executed a hundred thousand people. I mean, not him, just him, but you know, and this goes on and on and on, am on. His name is Yaroslav Hunka, and I was kindna say he's in the gallery, but I think you beat me to that. But I'm very proud to say that he is from North Bay and from my riding of Nipissing to Miscommnian. He's a Ukrainian hero, a Canadian hero, and we
thank him for all this service. Thank you, dude, I'm chet. Look here's the thing again. I don't know what the vetting looked like for this, how any of that worked. But I am tempted to sit there and point out that if it was Trump, because remember they were trying to connect him to the anything, he would put an eagle on as being a Nazi dude, like this is Nazi code? Was was it sepack ross or the stage was shaped like something kind of and they all freaked out that was
Sepack right? Is there? Like it's a really believe They look they said it looked like an ancient ruin or something. Yeah, but like a White supremacy room or something, a ruin or something like. It was just like a room and date and they backed to way and they're like, it looks like an ancient ruin that the SS wants used for some sort of ceremony. And it was right, but it was very abstract. Well yeah, yeah,
yeah, So in this case you would argue there's less abstraction. Yes, I would, because they literally said, hey, he fought against the Russians without going what I think those were our allies. Why would they be fighting against the oh oh? And to do so they had to hang with the okay and take take orders. So yeah, less abstraction than the six or seven times somebody like you didn't even have to be Trump either, Like somebody could produce a coin that had an eagle on it. Trump didn't had
anything to do with it. And that's still somehow got laid off. Hell the Bob Menendez thing was getting laid off on Republicans and Trump over the weekend. We'll get into those details coming up here at seven h five, but it is sixty five. Take a break, you're right back. Hang on smart talk all day, ninety four five w PTI in the Triad and one uh six one FM Talk in the Triangle. So I remember thinking, like, you know, everyone doesn't want robots to take over everybody's job. But
when you've got it down to that, what's next. So I flew over the weekend and it was in LaGuardia for the first time in a long time. And look for those of you who fly for business or have made trips up to New York, and you had to go through jfor I said, LaGuardia, excuse me, JFK, And you got to go through JFK. You share. You probably understand my frustration because there's no connectivity with the terminals. It's the dumbest thing. You gotta either exit security or you gotta get
on a bus between terminals. But you can only do that if you have a very specific ticket, even though in any other airport, if I want to watch, if I'm going out of c terminal and I want to go walk to a terminal because whatever I can do that it's dumb, but I
can do it, or I can hop a train to do it. So I get up there and it's still like do you remember the real depths of covid ross right when the restaurants reopened, and so instead of seating three hundred, they could see like ten because of the level of care they were taking. Nobody would go near you stand codes everywhere. Yeah, it was stupid because he had a position the tables in a certain way to keep people away from each other, right right, and then come in with a stick and
measure. Yeah. I know local businesses around week four, it's one of them had a close because of that because they couldn't fit people in anymore. M that's all that is. All of the JFK five terminal. You can't
pay for anything in. And I prefer cash in airports. Basically, I prefer cash when I'm traveling, but really in airports just for whatever reason, because you know, you go there and if something's wrong and you're already you're already on the other side of the country, so what are you gonna do? But it was annoying because like I actually, when I was flying up there, I ran into a friend of mine too, who happened to be on the flight from Raleigh, and he said, well, let's go get
somebody eat. So we go into this bar restaurant there at JFK, and the bartender won't come over to us, and then eventually he walks over to us because my friend had not been through JFK in years either, and just points at the scanner thing. You scan it, You order all of your own food, all of your own drink, even though you're sitting in a restaurant. Just like COVID, no cash can be exchanged, nobody can really
interact with anybody. And at that point, if you're that bartender and I have to do all the stuff on here, and all you have to do is literally grab the plates or the glasses and bring them over to where we were. How do you argue that a robot can't do your job? Do you know what I mean? How do you sit there and go, no, we need a human to do this. We need a human just to you know, because it's not there yet. How's it not there? I'm doing all the work, and on top of it, mandatory gratuity. Can
you're doing all the work and you have to do a mandatory gratuity. But I went everywhere in this terminal and nothing could be paid for in cash, and the interaction wasn't there. They just point to the thing. And if you tried to tell the girl, hey, this is what I'm ordering, she won't start it. She points to the thing, and you got to make sure it's in the system and then they will bring it over. Dude, that's gonna be automated in five minutes, that model they've created up there
at JFK. Dude, you could audit. You could automate the hell out of that airport, or at least Terminal five, the Jet Blue terminal there. All right? Oh Ross, did you see my forty six dollars breakfast or no, thirty eight dollars meal I had at the RDU airport? I did. Yeah, That's that's why people can't stand the Biden economics. That's something autonomy and yeah yeah, but I mean all I had was a grilled cheese sandwich from a farm. And uh, I don't ye. You has
some beverages? Could some water? No? No, they bring water and a shot? What a beer in a shot. Uh maybe those were just they were like way in the background or in the foreground. It was like right by the plate. It was like right there. Oh wow. But like a shot of water, look like right shot of it? Did not? Was it in a shot? Maybe maybe it could be it could be water from flint? Oh wow? So it was would you say a gauvish
in color? Dude? I don't know why. By the way, they were so overwhelmed at La Farm when I'm sitting there eating waiting, waiting to go cause I got the airport early because they were already they had already moved the flight. But long story, so I'm sitting there and I'm like, hey, man, I need a beer and I need a shot. And he's looking at me like what time is it? But it was afternoon, so it was okay, and I am but like he only got me the beer because he was slammed, and I'm like, yeah, I have my
food, I have this beer. But if I don't have a shot to really kick it off and mock that idiot up at the New York Times, it won't work. And so he comes over, doesn't bring my shot, and it's like, are you gonna drink your beer, and I like, dude, I need everything that I ordered. And then the amazing photo came out there, so and that was accurate, and actually it was pretty reasonable
for a beer shot in a sandwich in an airport. So with tip of course, all right eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four is a very good grilled cheat. I've never had it at La Farm. I always get the egg scramble times as I go there. But Annie who all right? Like I said, we'll get into the Menendez insanity and oh yes, the bear attack or was it coming up? CaCO DA radio program again eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four. If you're being circled
by bears right now, stay tuned. We'll give you some advice how to get on out of that. All right, good morning everybody, and welcome. It is seven h six here on the case o J Radio programming. Remember back in the bowers of all the COVID in sanity, the conspiracy theories from horse Pace to Stanford, and where was gonna gun from? Harvard?
Yeah, it was from Harvard. Stanford and Harvard medical experts being overruled by Twitter, Twitter executives and White House staff, none of which you're doctors. I was crazy times, but the one of the worst offenses you could commit is to take hydroxychlora quin right. That was junk science. People were deep
platform people were fired from medical places for contemplating putting this out. And any doctor did at any point tried to take this route, and if it was involving a high profile person was themselves provided a high profile public lynching digitally of course. So what happened going into the weekend, dah, that's interesting. The Mayo Clinic, who I'm pretty sure is a respected medical facility, still held in pretty high regard thought of as you know, where some of the
leading minds go. It's quite the operation there in Rochester, Minnesota. Having visited and I actually had a friend who was a research physician there, and have you ever been to Rochester? It's pretty unassuming, but the facility up there that they have in the Mayo Clinic is phenomenal. So when they put out stuff, it's not some random The point I make is not some random single doctor that you can just destroy their tenureship or whatever it is. In
how you retaliate. You're dealing with the Mayo Clinic and headed into the weekend, and I'm sure for the purpose of not being high profile about this was the Mayo Clinic studies adjustment on the uses of hydroxychloroquin right, because they want to list all applicable uses that have research. Well, now research shows and I hope you're sitting down, hydroxychloroquin may also be used to treat coronavirus in
certain hospitalized patients. So they weren't like that. But in the reality is they checked, people were saying, hey, hydroxyclora quinn has made a difference. Maybe not in all instances, but there was a lot of people thinking it had something to do with some of the numbers they had in Africa because of the mosquito vaccinations and some of the other treatments they use there. They end up using a lot of this because I don't know if you know this,
mosquitoes in Africa kind of jerks, kind of not good. So now they realize that it did help in some situations. After destroying people, absolutely destroying people for making that suggestion and then begging forgiveness when they're like, yeah, that part where we wouldn't allow you to sit in your own cars in the parking lot with your windows up of a church out in the middle of nowhere while you listen to a guy and a loudspeaker from another car or from
the church itself with a speaker pointed out the window. Yeah, we can't have that. Well, we don't have all the data, but you know, we're pretty sure that's not a good thing. So is that all the
conspiracy theories? Now I'm unclear and I don't look. Here's the thing I don't want because the conspiracy theory was the drug companies are there, they are tamping down expectations and when it comes to high darkschloroquin because it's not a currently patented expensive drug, whereas the amount of money you're making from the federal government paying you for the vaccines, in some instances you then going and having to
pull back recommended usage with those like that's the conspiracy theory. Fizer and the rest didn't want you to know. And I hate it when you know, conspiracy theories come out. But for whatever reason, people were right. They may not sarily have the motivation down, but that is what happened. Whether it was a push by the pharmaceutical companies, people like doctor Fauci, you just you didn't want any questioning, which we're seeing a lot of that.
One by one man, one by one, the dominoes fall. So yes, now they're officially saying, you know, in some instances it did work. Let's see here from the Mayo Clinic website grudgingly grudged admission of glaring truth droxically and then they didn't update anybody, and they did it on like a Friday, end of the day. And Peter Navarro, I'm just looking at
someone. You have a bunch of Trump people on this, So I got a question, do we then retro all of the medical experts that were on CNN, because remember, doctors who were undergoing this course of treatment or pushing this were d platformed, not renewed, and in some cases, you know, you're not one hundred percent sure why that's why they parted ways, but they found themselves after years of relationship, not being able to get papers published,
not being able to you know, escalate into higher positions, getting just kind of stuck in place. So the doctors who were the ones on CNN and NBC and all that who are on there calling their colleagues who likely had more experienced by the way in those fields hacks that are dangerous. Or the woman who was on the steps of Congress giving the press conference the doctors up
there. Her name escapes me, but she was an absolute loon. She was was it woo But you remember that right, she's up there and she's given in. The video went viral and then it kept getting taken down. And because some of it was hydroxy color quinn and if you said anything positive, for a while, Twitter and Facebook had policies from their own mouths. People wouldn't use the word hydrops the chloroquinn because they didn't want it searching.
They didn't want to be able to search by texts, so that they had their stuff shut down. The bonkers man and now the Mayo Clinic, which is kind of the arbiter. It's like the AP style guide for a lot of this stuff has the data and they just no fanfare, no nothings, slight change on the website. You wonder why people believe in conspiracy theories? Man, are you all in on the pharmacy suppression of non profitable cures? How? How all in on that particular conspiracy theory? Are you ross?
Would you say you're what seventy five because like some people go to the extremes, you know what I mean, This is the pharmaceutical company stifling nonprofitable alternative treatments like hydoxy chloroquin because that's the that's the I mean. I haven't really looked into it, but I would imagine that would be the case, because you would want to get rid of competition. And for the same reason.
What they'll do is they'll slightly change the formula on a patent and then repatent it under a a new thing and then se anyone who comes close to it. So are they sitting in an underground bunker with the world powers running things, going to their little Switzerland meetings and parking all their jets at these tiny airports? Are they that tied into it? Maybe not, but arguably most of the way there. Fourteen Hang on one oh six FM Talk and w
PTI, two stations driving the best in talk. This is Casey O Day and Carolina's Morning News. All right, let's talk about drunt juice Frost. Do you want to start with ghost invaders or bears? The ghosts? You a ghost first? Okay? All right, yeah, all right, we'll do that. This is in California. So they're extra matt at this dude. A man was arrested for discharging his weapon negligently after an early morning shooting
in Simi Valley. According to police, officers responded to a suspicious incident where a resident claimed his doorbell had been rung and then rung again. I don't know if we're in a ding dong ditch thing or what's going on here. So he hid in the bushes. But then he started to wonder if it was actual people or something else. I say that ominously enough, or something else, perhaps not of this existence, because you know, he's hammered.
You've been so hammered or high or whatever that you thought ghosts were, you know, robbing your house with you in it, or attempting to a little home invasion poultry guy's style. So anyway, so he's in the bushes, he's hammered, and he thought the intruders were in his residence, so he opened fire, spraying, according to police, his garage through the door into neighbors, homes, trees, and nearby other items, including parked vehicles.
But police say he never hit anybody, or did he is my question, are the police in a position because you know, how it works in a movie where you're realizing that it's a ghost. At first, you get people that may shoot at spiritual entities and then they realize it has you know, it's not doing anything, but they made the effort first to realize what they were dealing with. Maybe this guy, his marksmanship is on point even when he's hammered, and he did in fact shoot the ghost burglars, but there's
not gonna be any evidence because they were ghosts. But nope, State of California, they're just like, Nah, you're a drunk dude with a gun indiscriminately firing into the neighborhood. So we're going to charge you with all the stuff because we hate personal protection, even when it's from ghosts. Wasn't the second poultry Geist movie, the one in the Tower that was said in LA Wasn't it? Because it start in Arizona and then they moved, or maybe
that was in New York where they moved. I hadn't seen that in a while. Let's see his booked for felony discharge of a firearm, which I don't I don't know what makes it a felony versus not a felony. All Right, So that's story number one. Story number two, another drunk guy. He's got a he's got a decision to make. He's got to consider whether he is going to be able to find his way out of the woods.
An Ohio man charge with falsely reporting an incident after claiming he'd been attacked by a bear and followed by a group of bears a posse, if you will, and required to help getting out of the woods. So yeah, calls nine to one one stuck in the woods. Bear keeps trying to attack me, got a bunch of his buddies circling me. He's walking for miles. According to criminal complaint, first responders called early morning hours of Friday assist
a man in the woods. Dispatcher said the man claimed he was injured, stranded on steep terrain, and being pursued by bears, at which point dispatcher said all on the phone with the man, he could be heard screaming, please help me, I'm being attacked by a bear. All right, Well that's pretty definitive, and good on him being able to make words while being attacked by a bear, because I think most of us would be overwhelmed. Not myself, of course, but you know, most people this is just
walking to school for you know, grew up in Wyoming. But the man also allegedly claimed he had been walking for days, his phone was dying, and the bears were periodically circling him, and he was going to die. So that's what police knew to be dealing with. So the search and rescue guys go out. They find him using all sorts of devices, emergency lights, sirens, all of it in an effort to scare away what they assume is a group of thirsty bears. However, nobody saw any bears and it
was only after a two hours search crews found him. He denied medical treatment even though and then they started to put two and two together. He just was hammered and wanted to ride out of the woods, and there was nobody to hitchhike, so he's like, I'll just get an EMS crew out here, then I don't have to walk the rest of the way. Deputies say that the man explained to deputies that he was extremely intoxicated, apologized for wasting
their time, but just needed to get out of these woods. All the woods can be scary, and yes, you're probably gonna get a better if you just call and be like, I'm lost in the woods. I mean, you probably get a response, depending on where it is. They got search and rescue teams. You tell him you're, you know, surrounded by bears. They send the whole army, so to speak, in this area. This was in what was he's an Ohio man, but he did this
in West Virginia. Yeah, Connawood County. So he's not even super familiar with the terrain, even though obviously West Virginia and Ohio touch in some places. But you know what I mean, Yeah, they're not gonna be pleased with that. So he's charged with falsely reporting an emergency incident. But again,
what if they were ghost bears? All right? This guy was just hammered the other guy who knows twenty seven case O Day radio program, So Bob Menendez, who had previously been under investigations for all sort of shenanigans. The senator from New Jersey is is dealing with a lot. Dealing with a lot like John Fetterman literally coming out in his shorts and hoodie to demand his own colleague resigned from the Senate after he being indicted on federal corruption charges.
There is a lot going on here too, like him and his wife had a relationship, according to investigators with let's see a bunch of businessmen who gave them hundreds of thousands of dollars to protect a fellow businessman and to basically work on behalf of Egypt. He faces forty five years in prison and remember they got him off the other charges with the kids stuff too. That now he's a fine man. Well here he is back at it, but he does
have defenders, just shameless hacks. Will share that with you coming up, Hang on your Day Smarter one O six one FM Talk and News Talk five w PTI more with Casey starts. Now, wow, you know they make a product for everything. Teacher busted after allegedly hiding meth in scrunchy at family fun night. So it's the get to know the teacher event, right, Parents show up with their with their kids. They want to talk to their
teachers, among them Sarah Duncan. All right, pretty standard stuff. However, a photo booth that had been installed I guess for the event was her undoing. As she let her hair down, her scrunchy dropped and it had a compartment in the scrunchy that was that had meth in it. So so apparently they make a drug hiding scrunchy if you're you know, doing some early
Christmas shopping for that very special relative. But it literally dropped in front of kids and she didn't see it, and you know it had meth in it. In the school not a big fan is the event was coming to a close, Duncan allegedly took a picture with two students in the booth. The juveniles sayd that she let her hair down for the photo. After the photo, the juveniles cleaned up the area and found a bluish velvet style scrunchy.
It was a velvet stygo whatever, but they noticed the scrunchy was heavier than what scrunch she's are and realized it had an affixed zipper pouch which contained a glass vial with a bunch of white powder. Eventually tested and it was shown to be meth. The kids obviously didn't test him, but police did. These students did bring the scrunch though to another teacher, but they got the principle of vice principal all of that, because again they didn't know it was
from this teacher. But Nether's photos of her, some with it and some without it. So yeah, it's gonna be kind of hard to come back from that. Now, I will say this, and I'm not encouraging the behavior, the amount of social anxiety that something that an event like that would give me, because not only are you having the kids would you got to
deal with on the day to day. But now you've got all the parents there, and you have you know, you have the good parents who actually want to work with you and recognize that they feel you're a good teacher, and if you see something, they might believe you instead of just blaming you. But that's not a lot of parents these days. A lot of parents are my kid can do no wrong. Why weren't they first? I might need some meth. Maybe not meth, but you know, just some to
take the edge off. Let's see. An interview with the police, Duncan said she had taken her daughter to family fund night did remove a scrunt sheet, so she had her own kid there too. I guess we went to the school from her hair for a photograph, but claimed it was a different scrunchy and did not have a secret zipper pocket for meth. Maybe she acts, Maybe she went out and bought scrunches but didn't read the seller, you know, a description on Amazon. Well enough, I guess maybe you could
claim that in court. Unfortunately, there's the other part where then they drug tested her under district policy and oh yeah, yeah, meth So there you go, all right eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four you want to be on the show. So I said that Bob Menendez did have supporters because you had AOC and John Fetterman and a you know, several people come forward and be like, he needs to resign, he needs to he
needs to get out of there. I think they're reasonably confident that in New Jersey they'll just put another Democrat in there. Although some people are wanting Chris Christie to run. But Christy has to be like, nah, I'm all in for president bro. So he had to dispel that. But I think, you know, that's still a possibility because he ain't gonna be president. Although Ross you want to know the other reason it's not going to be president.
Did you see who Chris Christie was hanging out with yesterday? I didn't know who he was, Buddy, buddy shoulder to shoulder in the private box with Jerry Jones. They're at the Cowboys game. Dude, somebody's so mad at me for pointing out that Arizona statistically was predicted to be the worst team
in the NFL. So I'm sorry you're you're a Cardinals fan, but that's not me coming to that conclusion, especially not after yesterday you guys rushed for a billion yards on the Cowboys. But I also said my own team,
Minnesota suck. So somebody, did you see the guy on Twitter? He's very upset, very upset, and some people think you're intentionally tanking, which I would at least respect the Vikings for doing, because at least then they'd be doing something to getting rid of all their Pro bowlers and then you know, not tackling anybody and then losing a game again. So I'd probably take that. Let's see here, the top breaking Democrat defending Mendez is Dick Durbin.
No surprise, right, but he's in Illinois, so like it's like he's gonna have a bunch of blowback from the Republican election or Republican side of the elector in Illinois. So so he came out to defend his good buddy, proving once again that you know, once these cats are in it long enough and they've kind of morphed into this final form of whatever particular particular scoundrel
or thief or manipulator or murderer that they eventually evolve into being. They're not even cognizantly aware like there's a problem there, which is the only way you could come out in any defense of what's going on with Menendez after the multiple other investigations that you basically had to tamp down, including the kid stuff and the Dominican. But Dick Durbin was ready man, ready to defend his buddy. Tell you, Dana, this is a very serious charge, There's no
question about it. But it bears reminding us of what I've said about the indictments against Donald Trump, equally serious charges. These are, in fact indictments that have to be proven. Under the rule of law, the person who is accused is entitled to the presumption of innocence, and it's the responsibility of the government to prove that case. I said that about Donald Trump, let's
say the same thing about Bob Menendez. So this idiot, this guy skiing nothing, being in a very very safe seat, having very powerful friends, is either doesn't care due to his own corruption, or is blissfully unaware of what Menendez is doing. And it's not little stuff. It's not just he's getting one secret check. They were showing a pattern there, and photos like photos of him showing up glad handing the people that are alleged to be bribing
him. Remember, we have all the paperwork from the all of the weirdly labeled Biden things and the exact dollar amounts that were then reflected in like the purchase of a Porsche. And Menendez is like, nah, this is this is about Trump. And the reason is is because he's even these guys are such scoundrels. He's even willing to throw his buddy under the bus, but do so in kind of this soft way, right, because what he means by that is not both of them have, you know, presumption of innocence
in their for we should yield on that side. He is perfectly happy to watch Menendez get eviscerated, arrested, because then they will hold it up his justification for anything they want to do to their political opponents, saying, hey, we gave you one, this is the one we're taking. I think that's kind of what they did with alf Frankin too. They realize safe seat, there's more political points from going in this direction. And then you have
a defender come in. He's trying to be the quote unquote level headed guy, and in reality he's just like, Yeah, I don't care if my buddy burns as long as they get that other witch I'm really mad about. And that's where we find ourselves, all right, seven forty four? Is he alive? Do we know he's taking it from everybody today? I didn't know. I was concerned for your well being as I had the distinct pleasure of watching that game yesterday surrounded by all three of my cowboy buddies, and
must have been fun. And they talked an immense amount of crap over Minnesota, you know, crap in the bed like they do all during the first series set of games. And then they were of course the later afternoon game, and it was so weird they all started to leave before the game was over. And so why would they do that? Why can you dish it but not take it? Oh, I could take it and listen, I don't think anybody's going undefeated. But that seventy spot from the Dolphins was pretty
impressive. Then again it was the Broncos. But yeah, I mean just a first of all, the Jets and the Giants aren't very good teams anyway, and Asota looked pretty good. I mean, are we that? Yes yesterday? Yesterday they looked pretty good. You know why they looked good yesterday and not at all the other days because they're not good. They were not predicted to be good. Yeah, but you know one isn't bad. Yeah,
not that is not bad at all. Yeah, it's well, it's a good record, right, you know, I respect to in one. I do respect to and one. You know, why are you all self serving monsters? Ross's bills are two in one? Just stop? So are they? So? Yeah? Really I didn't even look at that. Go look at us after flipping through pictures of your fan covered in poop fallen in hold. I was just thinking though before the segment, and I was honestly,
and I'm not I'm not joking around. I was feeling bad for Ray because I was thinking, he's going to check in and how many stations do you more? Do you check in on? And every morning? Live four? So it sucks, man, because you've got to hear this four times in a row. No no, no, no, no, Ross she does two check in, so well two with you, and then I've got one more than the other ones don't really care. I mean they're just more like, yeah, okay, what's the weather, But who cares about that?
But listen, nobody's twelve wins wins. And my prediction anyway was when the division get to the first round of the playoffs, probably lose, but if not, you definitely lose in the second round. So because I tell you, guys know what I think, isn't the guy. He isn't the guy, and he proved it, and he proved to throw an interception in the end zone. I'm sorry, you're not the guy. Period. My guy did that too. So anyway, yeah, just do some weather,
dry weather a couple of days here. You know, it's gonna be tough to keep raining out of the forecast, but for now we're going to I wouldn't be surprised with all the clouds around this northeast to flow and showers to the west of us if we do try to sneak something in. So it's going to be close. Clouds at some sun today, low eighties, probably stay in the upper seventies, tryad and points west. Cloudy tomorrow again Wednesday, spotty showers here and there, tryad west and into the mountains. And
then later the week. You know, as I've said, it's kind of tough. May keep showers in the forecast or add I'm back into the forecast as we go through the coming days. But nothing big. Doesn't look like there's anything widespread, as temperatures will stay cooler mid weekend beyond maybe only the load of bid seventies and over lows will stay in the fifties. So fall
kind of coming in right on target. Don't see any real big warm ups, if anything at or maybe even slightly below average temperatures over the next few days. Okay, all right, we'll just cool it on the storms for a bit and we'll be good to get all right, Thank you, sir, appreciate it. Goodnolences. So Ross two and one's a good record. Is that it's a operating under I mean it's a winning record. It is a winning record. Yes, I cannot boast to have one of those,
but it's not the winning list of records it is not. So there's that as well. And we got two more games today, so who the heck knows? All Right, some forty eight case O Day radio program, Hang on keeping you connected. This is ninety four five WPTI in the Triad and one oh six one FM Talk in the Triangle. All right, look, this is a pretty horrible story, but the contents of the story are not
what I'm going after here. It's the way that it's being reported. So, a death investigation is underway after an incident involving a thirteen and a half foot alligator. This is Panella's County, so near Tampa. Authority has responded to an area a report of a dead body seen in a waterway. The dead body was lying under an adjacent to the thirteen foot eight and a half inchalligator, and clearly clearly had been separated in places if you catch them adrift.
So now the investigative team recovered the remains and sheriff's officials are getting to the bottom about what her cause of death may have been. I know we should wait for the evidence. That's the responsible thing to do. Button please m M. However, we saw mysteries on this show. Ross anything you think might have killed this woman whose body they found Torga shreds underneath the thirteen and a half quot out her body was in pieces. Ah some yeah,
that's that is the thing that causes us. You know what, that's a very good point. I was thinking she was attempting to take the organ trail, but really, you know, it didn't go well after the first minute because she never you know, got out of Florida. So cholera maybe or drowning in the river, right, because otherwise, man, you gotta pay, you gotta, you gotta pay. I know it's I know it's tough when you play that game, but if you got de pensive, no,
it's not rainy season, what could go wrong? You could end up in a ditch like she did under an alligator that's thirteen and a half feet. So again, I'm not celebrating what happened. I'm like, are we really going to play this off like it's a mystery? Really? And not? The leprosy Ross just explained, Oh, maybe the space laser, because you can't they're not going to just use that once, right with the Maui thing or whatever that is. Maybe they're testing it out elsewhere. You guys probably
look for that. Let's see, there was another there was actually another story on this woman too. There's craziness because now they're like, Ah, this is what we have to do. This is why we have to go ahead and build all of these shelters and spend an exorbitant amount of money for the people who come to the city of Tampa because we leave them on the streets are going to be eaten by alligators, which has basically been the activist thing.
Over the weekend, the office will conduct the autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death, said Terry Williams, a nearby resident. I never dreamt an alligator would be in this area. I'm sorry, if you live in Florida. Is there a spot you can stand in Florida and say that that you would have never contemplated an alligator being in the area. Is there anywhere in the state of Florida from Pensacola to Jacksonville to Miami to Tampa.
If you're in Florida, there's a there's probably an alligator nearby, unless you're at Disney, where it would never happen. So I don't hud hold out a lot of hope for this neighborhood, to be quite honest with you, but they're working on it. They'll get to the bottom of it. It'll be okay. Uh, let's I got time to get this yeah, real quickly. A man is facing multiple charges after he was accused of running a dentist office in the back of a convenience store, and not a nice one
judging by the photos. Sixty four year old one Munaz Munos, who is a mechanic. Well, I guess when you're a mechanic, like you pry on stuff with pliers, right, I'm not. It's not that this guy would do this to make money, Like I understand the greed motivation. Who's going into the back of the scummiest convenience store you've ever visited and going, you know this looks sterile, let's do this. It has to be someone in a crap ton of pain with no health insurance. It's like, just
take my tooth out, so get a string in a door. A lot of people don't have that ability to do that. It's like it's like saw right, Like not everyone can cut out. They cut open the right exactly. So at that point you're like, I don't care what it is, I need the tooth out. You have a buddy's say, Bob down the street, will do it in the back of the convenience store. Twenty bucks. None issue, you're going you get your tooth out. It has to
be a poverty issue, I believe it or not. It looks like what they have got him busted is he was telling people he's good him anesthetics, but it was like sailing. So he's lying to him about that and they're like, why does it hurt so much? He's like, I don't know. So like that's when they turned him in, not that they were part of an illegal tooth pulling extraction, super unsanitary criminal endeavor. Oh, I see why you were upset this morning. I had not been to barstool yet.
Ross. I did not realize that every other story on the website is Taylor Slift. Every other story. What is going on? Man? Oh, I haven't been to bar stool either. Oh well, then why are
you so upset? This sporting it's just Taylor Swift. No, because I was at the gym as you do, and I'm like, you know, in between said, I'm like checking out, I'm scrolling and it's all like Taylor Swift at the Chiefs game, and I'm like, I already hate the Chiefs right right, mahomes is brother I can't stand and they ruined my life and his brother. And now you're adding Taylor Swift into the mix. It's
some bearable with her. Apparently there's being in confirmation she's dating Travis Kelsey and by the way, prepared to be annoyed because I did see somebody referred to them as Swelsey, because apparently we have to fix weird labels or combinations of names on celebrity couples. So yeah, no, I'm with Ross. They just got a bunch more annoying. Is Taylor Swift classless for dropping an F bomb on national TV after her boyfriend's course a touchdown. I mean, I
think she should probably be canceled. Taylor Swift celebration go up forty one. Nothing was over the line, even for me, which is an op ed by Dave portnoy Ah. Taylor Swift goes nuts as Travis Kelsey scores a touchdown for Kansas City. I'm pouting and stomping my feet. That's okay. Have the five stories, they're the three of them are that and then way down there, Hey it's the Dolphins. Oh wait, hold on, but before that Chiefs bear is being a blowout is even more of a reason Fox should
have a camera on Taylor Swift the entire game. She no could somebody just be like, Nah, you can't, you can't screw with this yet, the football not yours. She's never It would be one thing if she's ever if I've ever heard anything where she actually seemed to give a crap about football, But I don't know that I've ever seen it. And her fans are like K pop fans. They're a little crazy, man, They're a lot
crazy in the online space. So last thing you want them is sliding over into any chat for him where they're surrounded by actual drunk football fans or Bills fans covered in poop, because I feel like there's gonna be a clash there. One two, still scrolling two stories later, speechless to see Taylor Swift sitting next to Donnick Kelsey at the Chiefs game. Is this all Portnoy did
yesterday? Good lord man? All right? Eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four, Sorry, this was like normally normally they might space it out, or if he had just wrote the op ed, I think he was serious, but I who the hell knows. You've got these ridiculous blowouts, You've got these comebacks like the Green Bay one yesterday. You've got Taylor Swift right in the in the booth. This is what happened. This
is all a product of the writer's strike. The writers are on strike, and now you have this season that doesn't make any sense because, as you know, it's all scripted. Yes, yes, yes, yes yeah. In fact, somebody did a very good parody about that, with actual players pretending to not get their script I thought it was very funny. I think that Jacksonville Jags did it, although they ironically were supposed to be a good team, I thought, and got drilled by a really horrible team yesterday.
So Ross is saying that it's normally fixed, but right now it's not. Although the writers on Friday, who were I heard a quote by their lead negotiator where they were one hundred and ten percent on teams, screw you, We're not coming back unless you give us all the stuff. Over the weekend they made, I guess they made some sort of deal. So I also read a story in the La Times. They were following these writers and some
of them are you saying, are you saying roster you seated. I just realized, yea, yes, okay, comfortably balance you get all right. Apparently some of the writers had to get other jobs because they haven't been an I would comment, but but I'm dead. They did a whole thing about can you believe these poor writers? Some of them are having two barista so which is, by the way, I thought that's where they all started anyway, right, don't work in the restaurant industry, just trying to make it?
Or is that just the stereotype? Well whatever, So, yeah, they had to go get other jobs. Some drove uber. Can you imagine being stuck in an uber like on an airport ride, you know, something of length, and it's with a bitter, cheesed off rider who wants to tell you about why her projects are on hold. You throw yourself from the car. So yeah, that's what happens on a daily basis, how it happens if you don't have money coming in? How often on a daily basis
did you think about how the writer strike is affecting you? Like, were you even able to function? I came to no. I initially I was a little you know, I was blind to it. I didn't have. Hollywood explained it to me when they came to the raid, but then I understood it and it gave me joy. So is that the reaction you were
looking for? Because that's that was I'm saying, in your moments of depression and sadness and you're most low, you would think about it and it would like you would raise you up. Yeah, oh my yeah yeah yeah, yeah absolutely, because that's odd. I'm like, right, no, yeah, that's the conclusion I came to. I'm like, this is great, this is fantasy because it's not like there's not stuff to watch. Right, Not only is there stuff to watch, but there's right, like what one
hundred plus years of better stuff to watch. I was just gonna say, not only is there a stuff to watch, newer stuff, but you have access to everything, right, so you can go back and watch, you know, movies that were original ideas, movies where they didn't did they? What was the when you get to the story Friday. What was the kids show that just decided they need to stick a non binary character in? There?
Was the ones with Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol. Yeah, right, So now with access to everything, you can be like screw that I can go watch all the Mister Rogers right instantly, you go watch all of that. You want to watch Bob Ross paint for cathartic reasons. It's on one
of the streaming apps I saw. I felt like the writer's strike was very similar to a government shutdown, where it happens and most people have no idea that has happened, like it has actually no effected at all until they see the Barry kaides around the Stone War Memorial, which does not require goven employees because it's in the middle of a publicly accessible part. But yeah, yeah, other than that, no, it's pretty close. I remember they were
having to do that's right. They were having to do things because people cared so little. Ross. You're right. You remember when all of a sudden they announced they were just they're going to shut half of the services on the Lue Ridge Parkway and people are like, well, but you still have most
of your funding and so why would you close half of them? And the reason was is because if they took a twenty percent reduction or whatever the number was, that wasn't going to be as like people may not notice, like one bathroom's closed, maybe a ranger station. But for the most part, everything would have just trucked on been the same. You went up there,
wouldn't notice the difference. So they had to literally come up with ways to make it as least pleasurable as possible by accentuating what they claimed to be this great threat. And you saw it with that, with the park service stuff, and you saw it with people putting barricades around stone carved memorials in the middle of publicly accessible, twenty four hour day parks. You gotta get it,
man, You gotta make it as evident as possible. And if that means literally firing people are screwing others over just to maintain your control, they're willing to do it, all right, So here we go eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four It is eight fifteen. We got to talk about it. There's so many like moments where people waited into this next story and been right on the cusp of some sort of self realization. Did
you hear what happened in Zimbabwe? It was not something I thought i'd utter this morning, but it has a fascinating answer. We'll get into it next hang on the show. After the show is on the iHeartRadio app sears casey O Day for the podcast on the iHeartRadio app. So Yeah, interesting reaction over the weekend to what was described to me read good quote as quote tragic and disappointing. That was the crowning of the newest Miss Zimbabwe, who will
then go on to represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant. She is a native of She is a native of Zimbabwe, raised there, educated there, always lived there multiple generations before her. But what caused everyone to lose their damn minds is she's white, which is about two or three percent of the population in Zimbabwe, so less so than some other African nations. That being said, they just couldn't deal. Man, it could not deal.
The twenty one year old model now set to represent her home country in the twenty twenty three Miss Universe pageant. All of the now crowned Miss Universe runner ups were black women. Following her win, she expressed her commitment to representing Zimbabwe internationally and showcasing the country's uniqueness, with which she is familiar with as somebody who has lived there, was born there, was raised there, was
educated there. However, following the announcements, social media erupted demanding a black woman be crowned, given that the share of non black population in Zimbabwe's about
two percent, So there you go. The backlash. Backlash actually led her to deactivate comments and her social media, so on her big night, she can't even do a social media because people are losing their minds question and I know I saw the response where they're like, well, it's a history of slavery and subjugation in in these areas, in these countries, these parts of Africa. So from there, you know, from the sins of her ancestors,
she should never truly be a part of society. And I don't know if I guess if the effort is to heal in those situations or I don't know, changed a bunch of stuff around and crashed the South African economy out of you know, revenge. And see some of the stories we're seen in Zimbabwe and other countries. They're even getting mad. They're getting mad at people
who are part of the African move Back program. So Americans were like, I'm gonna go live in Ghana, It's gonna be great, and then they're shocked when they show up having no cultural like they don't know nothing about Ghana. They just knew that they were you know, they had some infrastructure, and they were making it easy when they went over there, like people didn't interact with them, didn't talk to them, and many, many, many came back. They're like, well, we're all of our skin colors the
same, because it's not about that. It's about, you know, what you share culturally. And the woman is as Zimbabwe and is anybody else there. At least that's what I'm told every time we see what seems to be a concerted effort to push along, you know, more minority representation at the expense of just trying to do whatever is the right, whether it's a casting decision, because nobody's gonna believe you made it for the right reasons, because
the amount of force that you're willing to provide. Disney is one great example of this, obviously, when you're looking at what they were willing to do with this snow white thing. So they're bringing this actress who wants nothing to do with the actual storytelling. They let her go on this insane pr thing and I don't know if she could have polarized people more, but she's doing it for the woke reasoning, and so when that is the demand in all
instances, wouldn't this be the woke version of that? But in Africa, you know what I'm saying, the lot of part they're saying that she shouldn't win because she's a really small portion of the population, whereas that's exactly the opposite of that is what's been happening for the last several years and nearly everything.
Yeah right, but yeah, but my point is, so if that's their belief, if you honestly believe that those who have had the least amount of representation should be the ones elevated because equity, right, yeah, right, it's exact right, exactly, So you're getting exactly what you've asked for. Yeah, but this sense, it doesn't count this time? Yeah, math, you know what I'm saying that, Man, I know, but
does ac count? Like but what if no? I like woman, Nope, I just needn't bang my head against the walls stories because I'm like, this is exactly what you want. And they celebrated all the how many stories have we seen where they celebrate this, Right, They're like, oh my god, this five hundred pound morbally obese trans person won the beauty pageant, isn't it beautiful? And you're like, yeah, but that's the and if you mention it then you're so right, then you're a biggot, horrible horrible
bigot. This is the exact same thing in this context, in that culture. It's the same thing. It's a very small percentage of the population winning the contest, but you can't have that because she's a hot white woman despite people. Somebody put posted this that, despite people of African descent making up just one percent of Germany's population, how many of the three winners of German's Next Top Model beauty pageant, we're black women? Okay, this is in
Germany. The population is one percent of the three the three finalists for their beauty pageant in Germany, how many were black women of the three? Do you have a guess? Ross, you got a guess? Of the three? L two M were the three? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, all three? So it's our point exactly, yes, So like mathematically she should have a lot less chance. And this wasn't like all three of the top people were white. In Zimbabwe, she was one, followed by two women
who look more like what people think Zimbabweans look like. That's how you say that. So the logical argument in the defense there is maybe she was just the best candidate. I don't you know whether it's you know, the pure salacious, like she's the hottest somebody thinks, or she's the they really liked her essay or whatever. I didn't watch it. I don't know, but
I do know that the numbers you then drag out to do this. You have to make this insane other argument because you realize that now you're what you actually believe is coming back to be used upon you, and you don't like the results. And rather than question, hey, you know, might being an intellectually honest and equitable here, you just freak out and looked like giant hypocrites. So there you go. Oh three of them, All three of them are black women in Germany, and one is much larger than the other
two. I'll let you guess who won. Thank you, probably no though, Thank you. Kse Is on PTI and the Triad and one uh six one FM talk in the Triangle. All right, welcome back. Eight thirty five was Hillary was talking about Putin election meddling over the weekend and not being criticized for it. Gotcha boy, get that excuse out there. I guess Hillary Clinton warned ominously that Russian President Vladimir Putin couldn't meddle in the upcoming elections.
Remember, like, there is there is a very serious possibility that the entirety of the Russia Trump collusion was formulated in a hotel room where the Clinton victory party was when they started seeing the numbers come in by what was it, Andy card I can't remember that other little gremlin's name. Who was this guy? But basically they had to figure out something, and so it was
concocted once they realized they couldn't win. To just decimate the ability and the audacity to include things you yourself were doing, like the fact that the Clinton campaign funded the dossier in part was a heavy lift, but the media was there to help you with it. And if it worked once, why not get in on it. Man. The Russians have proved themselves to be quite
adept at interfering. Remember, Trump is being you know, is being indicted because they said that he wouldn't accept the results of an election, and Hillary Clinton is still running the already investigated and debunked by their own special Council narrative, and she's going to run it a second time. That's how little they
care on any fact checking that will come their way or any pushback. Of course, she's being interviewed by MSNBC's Inside with Jen Saki, who was basically, yeah, go ahead, do you want to spread that garbage here?
I'm with you again. She claimed. Part of the reason it worked so hard against me, you know, like he's putting in fourteen hour days to screw with her campaign, and not just her own unlikability and unwillingness to go to many Midwestern states might have had something to do with it, but now Putin's putting in the you know, the extra hours, the overtime because he
was so against me being in the White House. Okay, all right, I mean I don't have to get into all the former Russian stuff and everything that's happened, but that is rich Man, and of course they're given her a platform to go out and do it. What is wrong with people, I'll tell you what it's not wrong is watching the truck drivers roast Pete Buddha
Jedge. All right, see hold on, you got to hear this idiot had some thoughts, had some thoughts about trucks and drivers and well the truckers, and for any of you listening, maybe you can react not a big fan of it, if you enjoyed the food he aid for breakfast, the clothes that you're wearing right now, or whatever device you're using to watch these words being spoken, you have truck drivers to thank for that game. That
is an old line. That is that was an applause line that a certain now disappeared union boss Jimmy Haffa used to say all the time, and it's been long recycled over the years for this, so it's not original. It's pandering, but panderonic. Everything that we count on everyday, groceries, medicines, toys, books, livestock, all of that gets to where it goes thanks to Americans truck drivers. We need to offer truck drivers support, not
just in the form of thanks or words, but actions and funding. Okay, all right, do you know possibly and I knew this even before I went to saw what the truck drivers were gonna say. Do you know why?
Truck drivers, especially independent drivers, have had a really tough time and might be in a position where, yeah, you know, maybe some additional support is needed out there and how that comports with the priorities of the administration and Secretary Bootage, because what you're going to be shocked to learn is when you demonize that mode of transportation due to carbon admissions, so when you throw them under the bus there, and then you do things that artificially drive the
price of fuel up, like limiting our own ability to extract here in the US after growing significantly under the previous administration, and you have large taxes at a state level, federal level, and local level in many instances, that's going to be far more injurious to the truck driver's bottom line, if I'm not mistaken. Because now that fuel cost and the lack of support leading up to it, that's all on policy. Man. Fuel doesn't have to cost
what it does right now. But there's a large selection of people who's like, if it's not gonna hurt, then people will never make the change, and so they don't mind watching people suffer if they eventually get whatever their political goal is. I mean, it's hypocrisy, that's old as time. We've talked about it in many different ways here on the show, many different examples, but a bootage could not have been more clueless man as to what truck
drivers may blame for making things difficult. A lot of new rags, A lot of knew this, A lot of knew that, a lot of blame going around, and he's out there irritating the truckers. Trucking is not just a response. Trucking is not a government institution. The roads are, the roads are, ease all the regulations, and why don't you let us make money? I don't want government money. I want my customers to be able
to pay me and me to be able to afford the fuel. Also, they pointed out that the administration has not shown support previously to non union drivers, blaming Buddhaggs for pandering to the unions when in reality, the majority of truck drivers are not. And then fuel prices, you name it. You know basically what you would expect there, but it's so weird. At no point did any of these guys responding go, you know what, you're right,
you're making a lot of sense. Do you really get us? How about the part where they're they you know, they're they're they're they're phasing out certain trucks and truck engines, trying to sunset this stuff certain repair, certain modifications have to be made the vehicles. They're full on on this man, and you're out there like, oh no, we get you, We're looking out for you. Oh in the racist row. Do you know I have enough time to get into that? All right? Eight forty three race agic
from the Weather Channel here. Oh did you see some guy got arrested because he was in the woods drunk and he didn't want to walk out of it, so he called nine one one and said he was being stocked by bears. I believe it or not, I did happen to catch that. Oh okay, but that's pretty smart thinking. Huh well, I mean then he kind of like didn't really he fessed up to it not being a bear story.
It just should have just went with it. Just well, the bear ran away, but thanks for coming to get a bear's Yeah, it was one that actually attacked him, but it was a team of ninja bears surrounding cocaine bears. Right, do you think that would have been Yeah, it could have been Cocaine bear. I watched that movie. By the way, Did I have it go? Yeah? I thought it would worth my time. If you want something, you don't have to think about do it to
it. Yeah, that's what I'm cool with that. But do you think that perhaps the bearing that would have been a good call maybe in the third quarter for Dak Prescott or good yeah, could have been give me a friend or something's right all around me. In this case, there were cardinals. But hey, listen, last year, you know me, I was. I was a Cooper Rush fan. You change up, gotta change it up, change it up. There. Yes, he actually opted to stay.
I think he had a couple of offers elsewhere, but he opted to stay. So hey, maybe somebody said, hey, throw right. Yeah, another job security interception. Yeah, I hope. Anyway, last it's fine. So it's fine, no problem. Weatherwise, pretty good shape. Nothing really, I guess I could say extravagant. I don't really have much in the way of rain in the forecast stept out in the mountains and to the
west. There might be some sprinkles, rain here and there, sun and clouds today upper seventies to low eighties, and then the rest of the week we're in the load of bid seventies. A lot of clouds around, but some sun doesn't mix in at times kind of get one of these wedges with this north northeast flow that we see in the fall and in the winter time time, with that northeast flow comes in, we'll get these cool, kind of cloudy days, but we don't get a lot of rainfall numbers at least
be below average. And again here and there, there might be a spotty shower or two through the week, but it doesn't look like anything significant.
No severe weather certainly. And the tropics got a couple of systems, one of the Southern Gulf that's going to dissipate, a couple out in the Atlantic which will collect, they're going to steer away, and the remnants the rennant low from what was Aphelia's kind of bringing rain to the northeast end to Wingham another those affection the coast, except for the pressure grating, which I believe it or not, still bringing some rough surfa out in the eastern parts of
out near the coast and eastern parts of the state, and still bringing in some cases even some minor flooding going on in some spots. Okay, all right, well there we go back to work and keep an eye to the sky, and thank you very much, sir. All right, there you go, race Agic from the Weather Channel. Jeff Bellinger joins us. Next hang on one O six one FM, Talk in the Triangle and here's Talk ninety four five WPTI in the Triad. All right, good morning, any
ideas afty two to Bloomberg. Update now with Jeff Bounder, Jeff, what's happening rug morning? Case the strike by Hollywood screen murders could be over soon. There is a tentative agreement between the studios and the Writer's Guild, and if it's ratified, it will end the five month long walkout. Reports say the writers gained concessions on wages and other key issues. The writer's deal could help to bring it into the actor's strike by acting as a blueprint of sorts.
Stocks lost a little more ground on Friday, capping one of Wall Street's worst weeks and months, and the futures are lower this morning now, futures down sixty three points. There is apparently strong demand for Apple's least expensive and most expensive new iPhones counterpoint Research, as Apple customers in the US have to wait ten days to receive the basic iPhone fifteen. The wait for the cheapest iPhone fourteen, introduced a year ago, with six days customers who want the
top end iPhone fifteen promacs have a forty eight day wait. Apple was able to deliver the iPhone fourteen Max in thirty nine days. Costco Wholesales teaming up with the online marketplace Sesame, pushing deeper into healthcare. Costco members will have access to online medical visits for twenty nine dollars each. Members of the United Autoworkers Union are walking picket lines at more than three dozen General Motors and Stilantis
facilities. The union announced on Friday it was widening its strikes against the automakers. Contract talks with Ford are said to be going better. The UAW did not call for additional actions against that company. A summer of extreme weather put a damper on theme park attendance all across the country. Now, park operators are hoping Halloween and Octoberfest events can help to save the season for them. The Wall Street j Cedar Fare, Six Flags, and Sea World we'll be
looking to attract visitors with Halloween events. Walt Disney started its fall themed events earlier than ever this year, and the Casey Congress is still struggling to pass a short term spending bill that could head off a government shutdown, but time is running out. A senior policy director at the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget tells Bloomberg shutdowns don't save taxpayers a dime. They just cause the government
to waste money, billions of dollars. No money is collected at national parks, there are no sales at government gift shops. And when the government reopens, workers who had nothing to do during the shutdown get their back pay. Casey, yeah, And they closed the Blue Ridge Parkway unnecessarily. That's or put barricades around war memorials. So all sorts of fun probably coming our way this week. All right, Jeff, thank you very much. All right,
to have a good day. We'll talk tomorrow. So just reading this, uh ross, this is this will impact you. Apparently during an earnings call or unveiling whatever. Olive Garden. Olive Garden has a very troubling trend. They say, according to all, they haven't run out of bread sticks, have they? I'm sorry what they didn't run out of breadsticks? It's I've said it awful. Do you want to hear what the problem is?
And it's not not really okay, but I mean they have to According to Olive Garden and uh, I guess olive Garden and then who else reported Cracker Barrel. They also expressed the same thing, the same company, and they pointed out that while the majority of their COVID, you know, pre COVID audience and diners has returned, the only category where that's largely untrue now is over sixty five. Basically retired people stopped eating at olive Garden and Cracker Barrel.
I'm sorry, have have any of you been to a Cracker Barrel? Especially? Yeah, I don't know what they're talking about. There. There's a reason they have all those rocket chairs, you know what I'm saying.
I cannot believe you are underrepresented in the sixty five plus crowd. Not a knock, but also it's a it's a good way, I guess to pretend not to understand that when you raise the never any possible from ten ninety nine to thirteen ninety nine, and you do so over the course of just a couple of years, you might have to start including inflation in some of this
couple with people on a fixed income. You found a way to You've found a way to price out Cracker Barrel and Olive Garden from retired fixed income folk. And I still don't even believe the numbers because I have eyes and I've been to a cracker barrel with them open. So now leadership at Olive Garden trying to figure out what they can do to get more senior diners through the door, and it looks like they're gonna start offering like early bird specials.
But yeah, just weird. All other demographics have largely recovered to our pre COVID numbers. And you know, one of the other things that this analysis might push forward, which could be part of a bigger discussion, because I know those people still exist. I was just in an airport over the weekend. There's also the idea that these are really these are the restaurants being honest about this, and there may very well be a much higher percentage of population.
It was scared so effectively with all the COVID insanity that it still continues to manifest in a large enough percentage to throw off earnings reports for you know, billion dollar restaurant chains. Like people are so terrified, they're just not coming out and they've receded from society, which I'm sorry is incredibly sad. It's easy enough when you're older and your kids are out of the house to
kind of recede into the backgrounds of their lives. I've not been there, but I understand that, like I could see how people get there, and you did all of this so you could control levels of power that we're previously unattainable for you under non emergency situations, and maybe by doing that destroyed the ability of part of our community to actually be able to participate in society because they're so terrified, and you gotta wonder if that that'll probably lasten the rest
of their life. That's so sad man, or maybe they're so full from the last time they went there from all the breadsticks. You think it's all the breadsticks that did it. I mean, it could be what you said to my introspection of what's probably okay, breadsticks it is you gotta have the breadsticks. Man, can't old people m
