Was Jesus a Liberal?

John Arnold recalls a German professor, Ernst Käsemann, say:
“It is evident that when he uses the word “liberal”, he is not speaking of economics and of contemporary capitalism, which he loathes, but of liberation and, indeed, of liberation theology.”

But is this Biblical? Was Jesus a liberal?
