Getting a child’s attention in order to focus on learning can be a daunting task, especially given the amounts of technological distractions that exist in their environment. Attention-training applications have shown minimal promise for increasing attention; likewise, decreasing digital multitasking is an ongoing issue. I discuss the research in these key areas of attention training and digital multitasking and address how these two concerns impact cognitive development/achievement on this episode.
