Episode description

Filmmaker Paul Duane joins Alan and guest co-host Andrea Cleary to talk about the NME in the 80s. We talk about how to find good music in pre-internet Ireland, political music writing, working class autodidacts, owning music vs streaming it, whether boxset rarities are ever worth it, and Paul’s current work with Bill Drummond. It’s a wide-ranging and it was a delight to record.
