Look, the sun just came up. It's coming up as we speak because millionaires wake up at five o'clock, not a millionaire, but hey, fake it till you make it. So I'm waking up at five o'clock. I got folders on on the pot and it's Bruin, so you might hear some birds trip in. Or you might hear a little bit about me because that's what I'm fixing to do. Look, I'm starting this podcast because a couple reasons. One I've always wanted to to There's nothing else to do. Don't at all. Um so let me tell you, my name is Ernest. I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Grew up in a Christian home. The best parents I could ask for played baseball the way through high school, played one year college baseball and and something that's just stayed consistent throughout my whole life is my passion for music. It started a super young age. I'm gonna say like first grade. I've always wanted to do exactly what I'm doing right now, and I'm getting to do it. It's pretty, pretty wild. I'm a singer songwriter. Super lucky toe have songs cut by people you probably know And ah, and I put out my own music as well. And that's a day one grind thing and I'm gonna keep doing it. I love making music. I spend a lot of time in ST Thomas, Virgin Islands. Shut up, V I and ah, lot of my music is inspired by my time in the Islands. A lot of my music is inspired by my love story. Ah, with Delaney, my wife, Delaney. Royer Um super badass graphic design artist. I'm gonna have her on here on this podcast soon, too, because she's also a Nashville native. And, yes, you can expect this podcast to be a lot of different things. I have a I have a lot of different types of friends, a lot of people in the music business, a lot of people that have started their own personal endeavors here in town. Business owners, I look very forward to getting to share. Ah, a lot of those relationships with you people. That would be you if you're listening. You're the people cake boring you to death. Look, today is gonna be an awesome episode. I got to my best friends on here, one of them being Mitchell. Tim Penny Mitchell is another Nashville native born and raised right here. Great songwriter, great artists, and taken over Music City by Storm

he gets up there. Look, I'm no Mitchell for a long time. That's my guy. And I look forward to grilling him in this interview here in a minute. So I'm doing a co write today with Mitchell and Dallas Wilson Dallas, another Nashville native guy I grew up with. I've known ever since about the eighth grade and just one of the best guys I know. Super talented songwriter Ah, here in natural. He wrote Mitchell's big song. I don't deal with bitches no more. He's written a bunch of great songs and more so great guy. He also owns his own business. Dallas was some wedding films, which is just crushing, but anyways yeah, look. Two of my best friends,

spk_0:   3:42
both super talented three guys born and raised in Nashville. Hop on a podcast. This is that tune in just being earnest, just being Curtis just being just in earnest.

spk_1:   4:01
That's what horses air for. And

spk_0:   4:03
that's fun. Horses aren't for right off in the sunset with the girl Your dad, Mumba said. You never end up with Dundee season. You get rolled around in a wheelchair. Still there, Tiuna Lynn. But church folks still care. Then Dan in Praise the Lord, that's what. Horses or four.

spk_1:   4:29
What's up? Y'all? I'm Ernest, and this is Episode one of just being earnest. This is gonna be exciting. I've got two really good friends, one special guest and ah, the other ones. Mitchell temping. Um, now the got Dallas Wilson Mitchell temp. Any two guys I've known since Ah no Mitchell's 10005th grade. And I met Dallas, probably around eighth grade, and I didn't know they already knew each other when I met Dallas. Music industry is a small world. We're gonna get into that in just a second. I want to start by thinking a couple sponsors I don't have yet off the bat. I want to think truly hard salts are truly decent. Um, also shot up four roses. Couldn't afford five. So, uh, so four roses. Good bourbon. Good bourbon. I've also also like, um, Eagle Rare. Um, I kind of, you know, if I was on the brain ing department would have been rare eagle, but I guess that's the hipper way to go about it. Also shut out. Lighter fluid. Any brand works for me. It's been helping rednecks start fires since. Ah, since 20 since 8 40 They didn't put in the notes what year it started. Actually helping somebody guess Around 19. 100. Ah, In my last, my last shot out would be the moonshine dude helping people pass admissions since 17 76. Shout out George Washington, inventor of the first car. Uh, do a lot of people think George Washington cut down a cherry tree for no reason? How do you think he got his

spk_2:   6:02
teeth? Exactly he needed would And I know that is a fat because Robin Williams told me yesterday that that was that was true.

spk_1:   6:10
Yes, Dude, more people need to be fact checking facts with Robin Williams because he has all the time. He's a genie. Um, OK, so if you're just tuning in you probably are cause it's the first episode. Um, I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as my two other guests today. Um, we all make music. Were all creators were all goofballs. Um, I got a project out called locals only, and I'll probably play a little clip of that on the podcast. One of the songs, let's say, Ah, sugar

spk_0:   6:52
little can teams sat Border bar 10 Missed up in order she holds a I got a wine A settled by both this time that's me in this boom lightning turn into the rest of the night Like shells on the wave swept me away Four minute we had. So I'm asking way too fast. She had a states I plain kids must, it'll know with those wings. Tooker. Her name was stay so sweet with now with grease mixed weak in the knees right down to your soul. She's a damn good Be anywhere and we're back and back.

spk_1:   7:54
Dude. Um OK, Mitchell, what's up? Hey, man, Been a while.

spk_2:   8:00
Yeah, we do. I would just write a song today, though.

spk_1:   8:02
We wrote a good song today. Yeah, it happens pretty quick. Do what do you think about Zoom riding during quarantine?

spk_2:   8:07
I think it's about a school of zoom sex, you

spk_1:   8:10
know? Yeah, it's just not the same. Just kids can't touch him while right with them in cells. Love. Zoom writing. You gonna get a long way? Ah, but we actually wrote a song in person today. We stayed primarily six feet away from each other. Still are we

spk_2:   8:27
kind of always done that? Dude, I just don't want to be any closer. I don't think you want.

spk_1:   8:32
You stink. I stink. Uh, Dallas always smells great. Dallas, say hi. What's that team? Dude, Um, these air two guys, Probably two of my best friends in the world. I'm happy it worked out today. I was gonna have Mitchell's. I guess I was gonna have Dallas as a guest and we were scheduled to write today, So I was like, Yes, we're both guests. Guests, I guess. I guess your guests, um

spk_2:   8:58
can I cuts on this podcast?

spk_1:   8:59
I hope you do. You do? I mean, if my youth ministers listening to it. Hey, fucking sorry. Sorry. You know what you're tuning into? You remember? You remember church camp, so

spk_2:   9:11
let's take time for this plane going by.

spk_1:   9:14
Take your at off s. Okay. Uh, do you remember when we first met? First of all, who's Keith? Uh, Ernest Keith Smith. There you go. See? A lot of people don't know. I have 34 names, but yet, Earnest, Keith Smith is my full name. Dallas asked me if I remember when we first met. This is cool. I was playing summer baseball. I think we're playing it like Brentwood High or burn wood. Civitan, one of those two and Dallas was subbing in for our shortstop. Ah, Shortstop. Shortstop? Yes, She s e d. You know, Don't fuck with me. Um, Dallas is filming for a shortstop. I was pitching a great game. Also having a text My girlfriend at the time, But I didn't have texting. Next. Girlfriend X Growth. Yeah. You're grounded in you. You took my phone? Yes, I'm grounded. I don't have my phone. Can I borrow your phone to text my girlfriend? You're actually throwing a no hitter and on your phone the whole time? Dugout? Yeah. Who is his kid? Yeah, I think a lot of my success in life has been from Not necessarily know what's going on around me. So

spk_2:   10:21
the evidence is the best thing that's happened to any of us. Is that a word? The EVD naive Ebony Evan, Evan er

spk_1:   10:28
Yemeni and civilian everyday, right? Grandma? No. Heavy. Like, not

spk_2:   10:32
naive, but how you say in the EVD? Hey, so you're

spk_1:   10:36
asking the worst guy

spk_2:   10:38
said I'm talking with my ass.

spk_1:   10:40
I'm pretty neat. Nave. So, um no. What is the horse

spk_2:   10:45
say when you don't know what he's doing?

spk_1:   10:53
Okay matter. All horses, air accepted, sexual orientation of a horse I'm looking identifies a cow. You're able to go. Actually, your drinks are cheaper. So you write any, um, you're gonna get taxed less look, so we're gonna we're gonna get We're gonna nose dive into this. Um, Mitchell, I got some questions for you. You know me pretty well, right? Yeah, I think. Do you have Do Do you have a first memory of me? I've never asked you this question. No, I have a first memory, but I want to see if you have

spk_2:   11:26
let me know. You're just always around because my brother Rafe is keys. Best friend and raise three years younger than me and we're all with the same high school. So Keith was always around. I mean, I don't have, like, a specific first. I just It's kind of like, but I just always feel like you've been there.

spk_1:   11:41
I have a 1,000,000 stories, and and I always will.

spk_2:   11:46
I'm fully aware of that. And prepared for

spk_1:   11:48
my first memory of of you would have been, uh, Rafe was over at my house one day shutout. Wraith, Um, and we were a two man band in my garage. And I had, like, a first act Strat. Yeah, and Rafe was playing my terrible drum set. We're rocking out. And all I wanted to do because you were in eighth grade. I was in fifth grade. You were in m o band called Vincere. Yeah, and rest in peace. I mean, we can get deep into the fact that most of the music you listen to trickle down to me through Wraith. Therefore, I mean, I tell people all the time, heavily influenced by your musical inspirations just from being around, cause I'm always

spk_2:   12:28
ready. Ipso facto. I'm your boss

spk_1:   12:30
at the

spk_0:   12:30
end of the day, my boss,

spk_2:   12:32
But we learned together, man.

spk_1:   12:34
Um Yes. So with me array for jamming out in the garage and ah, the under oath CD DVD, the reinventing, your exit the I think we all had. We watched that DVD and they're just rocking out slinging guitars around so and all I wanted to do is that so I step. I think we're playing sweet home Alabama, of course. Who dig you dig in continued to do slowly the guitar didn't know that strap locks were a thing. And my guitar went flying across the garage and smacked into the wall. Broke it. And then several minutes later, you pulled up a fresh 16 year old fresh in a Mercury Mercury Mountaineer. The, uh what? Your cousin Whitney there. Ah, and your Aunt Whitney? It was hers, right?

spk_2:   13:24
No, I gave it to her later. It was Jr Roper sold me that car Lexus into the Nashville. So much parents. That car They bought me that

spk_1:   13:30
car. Yes, Yes. Oh, wakey, Rafiki. Squeaker fi. You drove me and Rafe back to lips. Come for something. The school we all went to. But I do. I don't I don't know that that was my first. Well, that was my first memory and my mom was gonna have a heart attack because

spk_2:   13:47
you're riding with a six fresh 16 year old

spk_1:   13:50
that she didn't know what

spk_2:   13:51
she would have done. The other things we're doing with fresh 16 year olds at the time

spk_1:   13:55
she would she would have been relieved. 1000 with? Yeah, Been relieved that I was in a car. Um, it's been wild. I mean, we we all grew up together. Music has been a big part of our life from Jump Speaking for Dallas to his dad. Ah, songwriter Session drummer played on tons of Brooks and Dunn Ah, George Strait hits wrote all my friends say from Luke and ah So when I met Dallas and we clicked at that baseball game way start talking music, I think I gave him a ride home that afternoon. Maybe you you actually gave me a ride for two months because I was grounded. That's right. And I and I ah, and his parents didn't know e would eventually be the worst influence he ever had. I don't think No, I remember. It's funny, cause in that phase, I had, like, something happened that summer. I got grounded and You were like you became one of my best friends and you were the first person I started writing co writing songs with were 16 right? And we ended up talking music that whole baseball game, and we would hang out in Mitchell studio with Mitchell is in college on Friday nights. I go to Sonic, we meet Mitchell students. It is grew up herself, and he wasn't even there. But we'd be trying to, like, wrote down. And

spk_2:   15:09
that's how my gear used to

spk_1:   15:10
break. Yeah, Yeah. I mean, Rafe would always break your gear when I was there. On purpose. No, but I do not remember connecting that dot that night we were talking and I was starting. People are new. Uh, Rafe in Mitchell, I think

spk_0:   15:24
I think we went over

spk_1:   15:25
toe. We went over to ah, your parents house that night, and then we all connected the dots that, uh, your grandmother Mitchell's grandmother knew douses Dad, let's talk about that Two seconds. So Mitchell Mitchell didn't have a choice bum ahead early. Um, Mitchell's grandmother, Donna Hilly, was the queen of Music Row president of Sony a TV for years and made a lot of power plays in the music industry. Ah, as a woman and has been Ah, what a light tower for women getting into music business ever since. Talk a little bit about, uh, being Donna Hilles grandson when you're a kid. What was that like?

spk_2:   16:11
Yeah, I mean, well, first off, she was a grandmother first, but I did get toe, you know, very lucky to grow up in a with my grandmother being who she was and saw how she handled the business of the music industry, how she handled it the right way. And also how she walked into a room and kind of just took it over by being this presence of powerful but still this Southern belle type thing from Alabama. And I was very lucky to grow up and learn the business because I love the music business just as much as I love writing songs and running. And I definitely got that from her, and yeah, very lucky to have that.

spk_1:   16:43
Yeah. I mean, the from the moment I met you and Rafe, we would always go to your grandmother's house because you always as long as I've known you, you've had a studio at home

spk_2:   16:51
because Sheila, and that's another testament to her. She let me have a room in her house, every every house, every aspect of it for me to create stuff. And so I started building studios when we were 13. 12 years old?

spk_1:   17:03
Yeah. I mean, ah, your your studio at her at her house on Linden. Have over here was the first my first studio experience wear hanging out. I mean, looking at mind too Well, I mean, my studio experience was finding your porn magazines. You're actually making music maximum. There is close to porn. I mean,

spk_0:   17:24
we have a We have a

spk_1:   17:25
lot of, uh Well, it's funny. Definitely the first porn DVDs saw race stole out of your room. Ah, it was bare. Which remember, you know, they're wench project? Yes.

spk_2:   17:38
It came free in a magazine that from Ronnie gave us.

spk_0:   17:41
Yeah, we don't have to dig deep and Irani thinking

spk_2:   17:45
deep into everything. Very nostalgic.

spk_1:   17:47
Yeah, but So So that was Lyndon house. Um, we we could We could talk about the Linden house a little bit if you want. If you want Teoh,

spk_2:   17:57
I mean, yeah. Uh huh. Historical house, Historical House. The big white house on Linden Avenue is still there. They redid it because it caught fire and it's very haunted. I use to be like a Civil War hospital. My grandmother pot and redid everything. So there's a lot of ghosts in there, which I definitely believe it goes. We've seen him yet felt they're there, but they're always nice. They're just kind of scary and people fucked up.

spk_1:   18:16
People are skeptical about ghost. I have been, too, but, I mean, they're really shit. They're very riel, and they aren't all necessarily scary. But stuff happened in that London

spk_2:   18:26
house for sure, and they just freaked you out. I think there's a difference in, like, demons and ghosts. And these were just ghosts. And they just, like, kind of wanted to Seibu High. But they have a sense of

spk_0:   18:33
just like all of us. Hey, I just just just sliming fucking doors and making no excuse

spk_1:   18:39
me. Good ghost. Do good ghost.

spk_2:   18:43
Anyway, they let us be. We got there, were fun.

spk_1:   18:45
Yeah, So the now we're getting back to what Dallas is saying. How we'd hang out atyou. Grandmothers. She moved over to Brentwood. Think maybe our freshmen, your high school or something like that. And that was the hang out. That was where off fully got into making music. Um, even if it were wrapping, I mean, we all grew up on all different types of music from hard core rock country Scream. Oh, rap R and B. Craig. David, I know both of us absolutely love some Craig David

spk_0:   19:14
taking it down.

spk_2:   19:15
Yeah, that kind of fast that we've been doing that

spk_1:   19:17
dude 77 days was like that Open mom. Open my mind to a whole new realm of music. But, um, yes. So it's really cool. Mitchell and I started Ah, we started making music in the same room and then fast forward. Ah, to 2013 or so. Um, I met the Warren brothers. And who were Sony riders at the time? I think so. I think your grandmother signed them.

spk_2:   19:44
Yeah, she signed him because they were funding. And she said, If your right, my Tom Douglas and get this funny, you have you have a job and yes, later, that was it. They were like, You don't hear music gets Now if you're this funding you sounding around with Tom Douglas you're hired. Yeah, You got You got a job. You're a songwriter.

spk_1:   20:00
Did the Warren brothers saw that in in us? And they signed us to our first pub deal. Uh, ironically, through Sony because you were adamant Will not pull in the the grandmother card to get anywhere in the music business. And you didn't.

spk_2:   20:14
And she had already passed away at that time, and the industry moves quick. And so it was just It just felt right because of the warm brothers for believing in us. And it's kind of what we needed at the beginning, because again, we were so naive. We needed someone that has some respect to kind of tell you, I think I think you you can do this.

spk_1:   20:31
Yeah. They nodded their cap for us and we got in a ton of rooms that first year two were right. And we wrote so many songs out. Some people notice few people off. You have just a few people off but Mitchell on me. We're gonna be a duo, Dude. Yeah. Brentwood. David Davidson. William Davidson lines Deal.

spk_2:   20:50
Plenty opportunity. Just not yet.

spk_1:   20:51
Yeah, not yet. We're gonna wait till you see what these careers. First thing on the other one ship. That's exactly right. Um, no, it's crazy. So, what are we in six years? Seven years down the road. And we're still writing songs today. Both of us. Our own artists now, songwriters. Um and I won't. I won't get sappy, but I definitely am Where I am today because you you didn't mean to at all. But you did light a little bit of a way. It led me to some dark places. And I use God and my family to get out of those

spk_2:   21:24
we have. We've all done that. It works. We all kind of inspired each other. Man. Just going in and doing this shit and and just making music is it starts there, and then you become in the business. And then you start getting all fucked up in your head how politics work. But before politics were the reason you fell in love with us so much that you can deal with that bullshit now

spk_1:   21:42
all you wanted, all you want to do whenever you got done doing whatever you had to do is meet back up with studio. We hang out. I mean, all of my high school memories are at the studio. That's what all my friends would say. The studio, It's really just race grandmother sounds. We go party and debauchery cause nobody's gonna come check on us downstairs. Um, I lost my virginity in your studio. That's you know that. I

spk_2:   22:03
know. Well, now that smell makes sense. That

spk_1:   22:05
was that. That was, uh I think that was Rafe, but that was it. And I don't know if this is

spk_2:   22:13
you on the church pew of the Rheiman.

spk_0:   22:15
Yeah. I mean, let's I don't want to just weaken brush over this, but you know what I mean. Sometimes I'm like, Yeah, I mean, it's a cool place. I mean, you won't talk about

spk_1:   22:24
the worst sex ever. Right? Then it already finished. We're sexually start talking about it. Already done. But on arrived on the on the pew from the running like her

spk_2:   22:33
mother got a a pew from the original Rheiman. And I put it in my studio

spk_0:   22:38
eso I want an erotic it. I mean, the music country

spk_1:   22:43
music gods were just smh ella. Well, but for real. Oh, wait. That's good stuff. Good. Yeah, it's crazy. Um, let's talk a little bit about quarantine, because this sucks.

spk_2:   22:55
Yeah, it's pretty fucking bullshit.

spk_1:   22:58
You've been touring like crazy for the last three years. Yeah, and now that's come to a halt for the, um, foreseeable future. What are you doing on quarantine? What do you feeling like?

spk_2:   23:13
Um, feeling pissed off. I'm doing a lot of nothing. And, um, you know, I wanted a break. We've been going hard, super hard, and, um and then all of a sudden, I get a break forcefully, not like on my decision. And then you're sitting here like shit. I really do want to get that. I need to get back out and play music financially. One reason, because I have a 1,000,000,000 people that believed in me and my crew and guys that down the road that left her family, including my brother, they all need. They all have jobs, and they don't have them right now because of this. And it's just one of those tough things where you want to be politically correct. You want to say the right thing, and at the same time you're you have your own fucking opinions and you kind of dealt and learn, learn What's going on? You're like, man. At some point, we, uh we can't burn the village down to save it. We've got to go out and make our own decisions and be smart. And where it comes to is we all need to come together is be fucking smart. And don't touch each other. Don't sneeze on each other, Don't You don't have to get too close, But there's a way we can run this business and do this thing and not kill the entire economy.

spk_1:   24:11
Yeah. I mean, in my opinion, Will Totally, It's never gonna be like it was, though. I don't think everything's

spk_2:   24:16
gone. Me and greets are gone. I mean, that was one my favorite parts. I mean your your fans and these people that are supporting your whole life they're not gonna pay or by me angry if they can't shake your hand or hug you and same thing, we we want that engagement as well like that.

spk_1:   24:29
So that's where you win a lot of offence.

spk_2:   24:31
Well, and also it's where you realize what you're doing is helping like when someone comes and tells you personally face a face even even more than on instagram or on Facebook when they look you in the eyes and say, Hey, this song is estimate or whatever. That's why we did it as kids, cause we have those artists we wanted to walk up to me and going to do the same thing. I don't know if those I don't know how those are ever going to come back. Um, with this yeah, time,

spk_1:   24:53
it's gonna be interesting. And as an artist, you have always been great about that. Because I know as a fan of music, you've always had your whatever your Mount Rushmore of artists that you like to meet her that hasn't you have got to meet through doing this. And that is such a huge part of it is finally getting to get that face time. Yeah, um, it is gonna be interesting to see how we all just to this, but we'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. Have you been doing Ah. Have you been doing a Pallotti's on quarantine? Getting those quads looking good?

spk_2:   25:21
Yeah. Yes, I have been doing Pilates.

spk_1:   25:24
That's good. You know, if you're

spk_2:   25:25
exactly what I've been doing,

spk_1:   25:26
we Mitchell insisted we didn't have video today because he didn't want to make John Langston journalists. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so All right. What? Your first stop laughing. What? What was the first project you put out? Would would you call the first project? You put out the Black Crowes

spk_2:   25:46
now telling all my secrets. It was I mean, sorry. No, that was sorry. That was my last brother. But trying to matter was the French fry. Put out where? Pictures in my little Do you have a jacket?

spk_1:   25:57
I have ripped so many guitar parts off of that project, please. Its name. I did it

spk_2:   26:03
all myself in. My little studio didn't Didn't have a master.

spk_0:   26:06
What's the westbound string? Has these bound chain and myth is the damn Tina? Yes,

spk_1:   26:13
yes. Pretty much walking in Memphis.

spk_2:   26:15
Actually. Think I have the CD in my car somewhere,

spk_0:   26:17
my dear track on that. It's full

spk_2:   26:21
on double. What? My Guitar Apartments fund that used to write like guitar parts first now is a songwriter. It's like I got the cords. I'll do stuff later, but it used like that whole record was driven with, like, get

spk_1:   26:31
some or part because we're learning John Mayer influences.

spk_2:   26:33
Yeah, and Matt Words and Dave Barnes? Yes, directors. And

spk_1:   26:37
yes. And that's why I was always just trying. Yeah. I mean, whatever years behind you. But I know me and rife sat around all the time learning your guitar parts and then also trying to learn Matt words. John there, Dave. All that, um And then So you

spk_0:   26:54
have

spk_1:   26:54
always been super independent with what you dio, um, and wanting to own your stuff. And then so you you did that. Then you did a black crow album

spk_2:   27:02
with? Yeah, with Matt Swanson out and Turlock California, and that kind of opened up mop. My entire realm was meeting him. My Why we have riser house today. Riot. The JV with Sony Records. Anything became from this this God thing that introduced me to this guy out of

spk_1:   27:19
nowhere. He's just a huge music fan and believed in you.

spk_2:   27:22
Yeah, and have the resource is to believe in someone and do what it takes to get it out there. And it's I don't I don't exist without Matt Swanson, that's for sure. Not in this capacity by any means. So

spk_1:   27:34
it's pretty crazy how, um yeah, dude, roadblocks. I feel like For most people that have some kind of a success story, a roadblock has really just been a set up. Not a setback, Absolutely. Because you write that down. Hey, somebody you got to get that, Um, it's just been doped to see and inspires me to because, like your call me Keith Snow Ernest, I've always had a bunch of nicknames. But like finding my voice in my artistry has probably been I wouldn't say hard, but it's been a long road to get here because we are so influenced by so many different things. And I just make whatever music I feel like making that day

spk_2:   28:16
at the time. Yeah, period, I don't like boxes. Men. No, I don't like boxes And like new boxes with Corona on him. Just

spk_1:   28:24
a box. No, no boxes. And and it's weird because the more legit your career becomes, the more imaginary boxes there are that other people don't see these boxes, right?

spk_2:   28:38
Put them around you and it's like men. I don't I don't do box.

spk_1:   28:41
Oh, hey, silly socks, as I do are boxing now Kilic boxing out when Kobe's shooting three. Yeah, yeah, because you're gonna get the rebound. Remember that one rebound?

spk_2:   28:53
Yeah, we did write us. Did we

spk_0:   28:56
wrote so many? Him on

spk_2:   28:57
the rebound, Something like that.

spk_1:   28:59
I don't either. Also don't care.

spk_2:   29:01
It doesn't matter.

spk_1:   29:02
It's so it did suck. That's that's why we're here today writing songs that don't suck. Uh, what you got coming out soon you got You got music out. You've got more coming

spk_2:   29:13
Tons of music coming. We have so many songs were just like this new day in time. And I've and I've talked about All my team is we're just going to start releasing stuff, man. Everyone deserves that. We want music. Gotta Lewis Capaldi cover. We just did that. Were that were coming out with its great And can we if you ought to hear that, but yeah, Just tons of stuff, man. We're gonna just just be looking at your phone on a random day. And here's a new song.

spk_1:   29:35
Yeah, I think that's gonna be the big adjustment for artists and labels and stuff. Now that you're not tour is like OK, well, I gotta feed. Yes, and I'm hungry. That's gonna be the fun part for artists, though, because now we're going to get to put music out. Amen. Um, Dallas, I got a question for you. Thanks, Mitchell. Would you just hold on just a second? Yeah,

spk_2:   29:56
man. Of course. Dallas, Come your brother. Well, you're five

spk_1:   29:59
feet. Dallas. We wrote. We wrote some songs early on before, I mean, when they were just terrible. But in the moment, you're absolutely dominating songs. Would you just shed a little bit of light on the time I wrote a song for you? Ah, slash your significant other? We haven't thought about this in a long time. Yeah, I know exactly we're talking about. Yeah. So you you had a significant other. Was it an anniversary or Christmas present? I think this was a one year anniversary of dating my high school sweetheart. And this song, I think, solidified another five years for me. And that still doesn't know that you wrote that song, right? That's why we leave your name out. But I think that it's my first cut. It was my first taste of ghost writing, huh? And it totally did it. Bushels. Expiration date back Another five years is sure. Let me tell you what you also did. You convinced me to line up candles in the bonus room. You said you need to line up some candles into the computer. And I made a slide. Didn't really do that. Yeah, blacked out. It was complete.

spk_0:   31:03
Well, black down. No, no. Do tell. So,

spk_2:   31:08
um what was the song? I could I could sing it if we sang one lyric of it. It was

spk_1:   31:13
incredible, wasn't it? Doesn't matter But it was a sweet love song that we recorded on garage

spk_0:   31:19
So beautiful I got it, Got it under the covers in a suite Three liquors

spk_1:   31:25
Don't say anymore because somebody might steal

spk_0:   31:28
it No, she whispered in my ear Oh, all those times and long for a kiss, baby human guy How I'm iss all the time to each other

spk_2:   31:42
Sing it Or did you have keys?

spk_1:   31:43
But he's saying I sang it, but But Keith wrote it and he goes right. And what was so brilliant? This is This is a prophecy. Over Keith. Ernest. Sorry. No, I mean did Look, it's also tell people all the time I'm able to categorize who knows me how by three words ago, if you call me Keith. You knew me. You knew me. 3 2008 if you know me a snow or snow flow. You knew me up until $2004. Every

spk_2:   32:09
time we call you Keith, on the pockets of the videos there it's parentheses.

spk_0:   32:13
Earning Ernest Snow. You fuck that up. So I think it

spk_1:   32:19
was prophetic in your career because you were You're writing for other artists back then and then? Yep. You know, here we are. And now you're always just the guy behind the scenes making it happen foot. But now its it's stepping out and doing it, and it is cool. I mean, we're talking about We're talking about it earlier. How, um, like, weird we did today when we wrote was essentially exactly what we were doing in high school. We all got together. We're just friends hanging out.

spk_2:   32:46
Except someone pay this now.

spk_0:   32:47
Yes, yes, yes. Not much, but but it's all

spk_1:   32:52
good. Um, let's see here. Probably got a couple more things. Oh, so sports aren't happening. You're a huge sports fan. Yeah, You're Titans guy. Heightened up. Tighten up. Dude, how are we gonna tighten up this

spk_2:   33:05
year? We're gonna have Ah, we're gonna play sports this year. I'm just gonna just leave that up

spk_1:   33:10
about Hey, Goodell. Goodell. You a Goodell? Why don't you grab your note pad? Cause timpani says we're playing sports. I swear

spk_2:   33:19
to God he was drunk. Like, here's the thing. If you don't this there's gonna be so many people go insane if we don't Bigger something the fuck out soon one of it being we need fuckin sports.

spk_0:   33:32
We need fucking sports. But think about

spk_1:   33:34
do There's a really niche, I say Niche. It's a huge amount of people Keep better a very keys crowd and they keep bagging me. Oh, uh, sorry. Had Teoh? No, But, dude, I said it was a nice crowd. It's actually a huge crowd of the betting community, bro. Yeah. Are there betting on the weather? You know that, right? People are literally betting on the weather.

spk_2:   33:58
Yep. That's while you know it's tough. It's tough, man. We need we need sports back. We need to figure it out. No.

spk_1:   34:04
Who did the Titans again? This I don't want Last night was the draft. Um, what do we do? And we

spk_2:   34:10
got an offensive linemen to protect Tannehill, which we need a big old big. Oh, boy. 66 Taylor Luan. No, No, Taylor, we do have Taylor, and he's amazing. Now we

spk_1:   34:19
just know we're not other boy.

spk_2:   34:20
Tell the one he is in credit. That's my jersey. Got the authentic 77. No big deal. Um, yeah. I mean, we know what we won last year. Derrick Henry is a beast, And and we got a quarterback that stolen it on, you know, throwing it on the numbers again. So we decided we need to protect that. And since we lost Conklin, we picked up. We picked up the new new big boy and I like it.

spk_1:   34:39
Yeah, sports in general is super moment. Um, based and the Titans came out of last season. I mean, you can't You can't ever expect a team to start the next season with the flame they had. They ended last season with, but Nashville is a city that will get the fuck behind. There's

spk_2:   34:57
a general flame on our on our logo. So that's

spk_0:   35:01
one of

spk_1:   35:02
one. I don't know of any other NFL team with a flame in their logo,

spk_0:   35:05
but we're far. Fire. Fire for fire! Fire for fire! Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire! fire Fire. The Titans

spk_1:   35:11
are going to tighten that spiking the problem sprains. Um N b A for two seconds. LeBron James. Yeah, well, yeah. You beat me to it. Because look, if you know anything about the 10 pennies, these motherfuckers will argue. Dude, what color shirt am I wearing? Right now? It's a grey green shirts kind of navy. So that's close. Uh, thought you're gonna work. It's got I don't know. Mitchell, Tim, Penny and Rafe Timpani will argue to the grave. And I think the number one thing that you all agree on is that LeBron James is the best basketball player

spk_2:   35:46
that's ever lived, no doubt and even did. And now we got the last dance. Siri's coming out with Michael Jordan. It's incredible. It's good. So good watch. It's it's inspiring. It's everything but LeBron still the best. And then Michael and then Kobe and then shot.

spk_1:   35:59
Yeah, but don't you do not agree that there's a little bit of just stop comparing and appreciate?

spk_2:   36:05
Yeah, I'd agree. I'm not only comparing, you asked me to compare.

spk_1:   36:08
Yeah, well, I didn't

spk_2:   36:09
mean you got Kobe. Kobe and Michael were the same player. They walk the same way. That's creepy videos or creep for the same player. So you can You can do that match. But LeBron's different. He's bigger. He plays opposition.

spk_1:   36:21
Michael Jordan with magics body.

spk_2:   36:23
Yeah, just a different thing. So, yeah, I'm with you. Quit comparing. But he's the best.

spk_1:   36:26
Ah, I asked that to set up. This is like after the Kobe death tragedy, um shook the world. The Lakers had a little bit of a rough start coming out of that, which is understandable. But then they were absolutely on fire, and I totally believe that they were getting ready to go on to win the ship. What? What happens? What happens to the N b A. This year? We done.

spk_2:   36:51
I know. And that's another thing because LeBron deserves another championship. They were gonna win. They're killing it. This he's still a still the M V P should be the M V. P. And yeah, what are we just gonna cancel? A. An incredible year that was almost into the playoffs. Like this is just

spk_1:   37:04
and you can't go back and have a playoffs with no fans. Because now fans, air defense, that's not environments. The whole point of

spk_2:   37:11
view. I don't know. Just fucking We need to fucking play sports again. You like if you If you don't want to come, don't come like if you don't want to come, don't come. And if you do be respectful, Don't sneeze on Giulio,

spk_1:   37:23
Dude. And and I think that's really well set. If you don't want to come, don't come and let's not sneeze on each other. It's that

spk_2:   37:31
simple. Is that

spk_1:   37:31
that's bottom line? Um, let's see here. I want to just wrap this up really quick and say first of all

spk_2:   37:39
time. He said that? Sorry.

spk_1:   37:42
Uh, the Rheiman was hell around. I'll have the world know that I have wrapped up a few terms, but today I'm talking about wrapping up this fucking broadcast number. Wait, don't We're gonna finish talking about how much bullshit as you come on. My butt is my first guest and start saying Betty as shit like rabbit. I understand that. Mike Side, Let's shut the book. Finished the ship. You should the fuck up. I hate this. Um, no do thank you for being my first guest. Obviously. My easiest ask. Fair enough that we were going to write a song today, and it just Would you help me out a lot? Ah, I Oye, thank you for being on just being earnest. Dude here, I'll ask you one last question. If you're just being earnest, what would your next single B

spk_2:   38:44
Oh, man. Probably a song we wrote together.

spk_1:   38:47
And that's what I like to hear. Okay, well, I'm

spk_0:   38:53
gonna let the music take us out and look, we're gonna call this Just noticed just being earnest, just being just being just just being there, just being
