So shadow banning. Have you heard of it? I had not. It's a new word. It's a new TikTok, Instagram social media word. Fascinating. So I do these reviews, these beauty reviews, and I bet you even already know that, because I literally am more known for this than anything I've ever done, more than relief work, more than business, more than Real Housewives,
more than Forbes, more than anything. I can be in the Hampton's on a private beach, like a small beach where just it's the morning, people walking their dogs and have four different women that are walking the dogs. Say I love your videos, and I'm like, wait, the one about Kim Kardashian. Know the beauty. I love the beauty reviews. You're doing God's work. I mean literally stopped on the street, stopped at CBS. I've hit a new demo, a younger, older, everybody.
It's just crazy. So I review products relentlessly positive, negative, don't favor a brand, don't favor a celebrity. Just my opinion, like maybe my not so humble opinion, just my opinion. I like it, I don't like it. I like it Picasso. It's not at the level it's at the level. Now I'm getting more strict because I've tried so many products that now it really is to be at a premium level. And brands aren't mad at me. Brands will love me even if I said something bad about one of their products.
In fact, these brands are happy because I'm doing research and development for them. Makeup artists are following my videos to get tips. I didn't know how to do my own makeup January one, so it's really a ride and people are just getting tips because I'm speaking to the woman who doesn't have two hours and a team of stylists. They just want to get out the door and not look like a wreck, and they want to have a clue as to what to buy and what not to buy.
So I've been doing celebrity beauty brand reviews. Can't just buy a celebrity brand because the celebrity slap their name on it. Everybody has a brand now. Rihanna blew it up. She became a beauty billionaire and everybody else ran in Kylie launched her brand before, but didn't pop off until
after and really lean into it until after. Rihanna Kim was after two like sort of saying maybe before but like didn't pop off j Lo Gaga, Hill, Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande, Um Addison Ray Models, you never heard like literally it's crowded, Okay, crowded. So I just started reviewing products. No one's got a problem. That brand's got a pro. Selena Gomez, great brand. So I'm just saying I like this, I don't like this. This is legit, it's not this is a slapp your name, this is a smash and
grab whatever. Enter Kim Kardashian. I talked about her skincareline. You can find it on TikTok. The video review which actually said the product is a fine product, certainly overpriced, but most beauty is. And um, I don't think I put it at the level. And the packaging was really unimpractical and for someone who owns a private plane, which I don't think most of us do. And there you go, be a big girl, be a big brand. You can
take it. I said a couple of positive things. You know, you can't filter my reviews the way you do your photos, kardashion, So I'm just gonna say what I think. Like, I didn't give you any special treatment because I'm not scared. So it got picked up everywhere. It blew up everywhere, millions and millions of views, and here we go great. Very shortly thereafter, very shortly thereafter, my Instagram real videos went from what would be like on the average, like
a million views two fewer than a hundred thousand. My TikTok would be like on a fine video, let's say twenty a bad video thirty thousand and an hour. A great video could be a hundred and fifty thousand views in an hour. All of a sudden went to four hundred views. It would be two thousand views in an entire twenty for our period, like multiple video one after another, like good content, Like I'm talking about Rihanna skincare now and three people are viewing it. I'm like, what the fuck.
People start telling me it's shadow banning. I didn't even know what that was, but it's when some being, somebody, some algorithms, some rins er, some fixer, some something is pushing your content so people can't see it. I start talking about this and people on that are following me start telling me they're not seeing my content. Usually it comes up. It's the only reason that the people that are seeing it is because they are going to look for it. How fucked up is that? I start, you
know me, I'm a bowl in a China shop. I start jamming it through. I'm talking about it on Instagram stories, I'm posting it on YouTube, I'm posting videos on TikTok saying you probably won't see this the few of you that do, and here's why. And I'm just jamming. I'm jamming and telling my team post the fucking Kim Kardashian video everywhere. Just keep pushing the content because people will somehow find its share with each other, et cetera. So
I was shadow banned, no coincident. It happened. I certainly don't know exactly from where it happened, but it happened. Talked about Kim Gardashian skin Caroline enter shadow banning. If you're gonna take a shot at this b you better not miss. I think the topic of college is really important. I have to say, knowing what I know now, I just thought you had to go to college, like you just went to college, you know. And obviously people can't afford to go to college and get bogged down in
crazy depth. But like in my life, you were going to college you just it was the next thing you were doing. And I have to say that I think it's more Cuban who agrees on this. I I learned a lot in high school. I learned the most from a strict, strict, strict English teacher who ended up getting fired because of how militant and strict they were. And I learned so much. They're like so much. It was the most valuable class ever. I'm a writer because of this crazy high school class. I did not learn a
lot in college. It's a place where I spent a lot of money for an education to just put me somewhere until I was working, and I wanted to get out of there. I wanted to be working. I would leave. I would go to college, stack all my classes one day Wednesday at Boston University, and then go go to class till nine thirty at night, and then drive back to New York City so I could be in New York City. Like it was like a scam, just to like check the box, get through, get your diploma. No
one's ever asked me to see my diploma. I don't know where my diploma is. It doesn't fucking matter. If you're an entrepreneur, a business minded and you're not trying to be a lawyer or a doctor. I do not think that I would have gone to college. So I think it's interesting with all the debt and with what's going with Biden like talking about college as it needs to become an option. These universities are a fortune and they are for profit, in many cases for profit. There
are schools. Northeastern is like a very good school. Now. Northeastern when I was in college was not a good school. It was for morons. I don't know how to say that in any other way, but it was for the It was for people who did not know how to spell their own name. Now it's like a major school. What happened. They're paying to get better teachers. It's marketing and it's like a business, meaning now they're known as a good school. Wisconsin was a good, fine school then
now it's known as a great school. American University was not a great school. Was easy to get into. Now it's major. Gainsville was really easy to get into and I walked into high school. By the time I got to college, it was hard to get into. So, like it's crazy the marketing of it's a business, so think about college as a business. Okay, it doesn't mean that going to Harvard isn't good business. A lot of it's
about the people you're gonna meet there. If you're going to Harvard or Brown or some major school, you're gonna meet really influential people. People go to Warden just to meet the people that go there, so they can have those contacts when they go into the business world. You know they want to get If you want to get your m b A. It's a good road. But for other people, I don't know that it's worth It could be hundreds of thousands of dollars. How could you invest
that in your career in your future? So just think about it for yourself and your kids. I'm not pro college. It's a for profit model in many cases. I think I'm for college in a not for profit manner. You want to get an education. Youth has wasted on the young, Like if you really want to learn, go to school. Absorb all the books, absorb all the classes, absorbed the education.
But research schools that maybe our state schools or um you know, not a fortune that have great academic programs because you can't pay a couple hundred thousand dollars for diploma. You can't. I mean you can, but just way the pros and cons. Miconos is the most annoying place I've ever been. I've been to Miconos four times in my life. Loved it. I thought it was great, thought it was sexy, thought it was gauzy. Thought it was fun enough, partying,
enough wine, pretty water, pretty place. I get it, Okay, This time I went to Miconos. Six cruise ships, massive, massive, like super Mall Mall of the America's. There's probably a bowling alley, a roller rink, you know, a driving range, and a golf course on these ships, six of them. You could not move in the town. Like you couldn't move. It was suffocating. Forget that it was a super spreader. I think I was licking someone else's neck. And then we went to a restaurant that I went two years ago.
It's called Scorpios, like a hot place where everyone says to go, and like you're wearing gauzy clothes and you're dancing and it's good DJs, and I get that. I wanted to have fun and party dancing on your tables. I'm in turn Stiles Disney like show up, sign in, give all your information. Haven't they have like multiple iPads where you have the checkboxes. I was so disgusted, so suffocated, traffic jam for an hour to get up there, to get to that restaurant. It was a nightmare, okay, nightmare.
Poros is gorgeous, he draw, I hear is like Portofino, which is a gorgeous place in Italy and a different country. Take Micano's off your list. And from a branding perspective, that's an example of a part of Greece, or of a town or municipality, whatever you call it, that is greedy. You know, when there's a restaurant that's really chic and then slowly they start letting in um everybody and there's no exclusivity and it's on mass, and then one day
it just drops dead. It's just over, like Daytona or Fort Lauderdale spring Break or anything. It's because you got too fucking greedy and you let it get too crazy. You do not let six cruise ships in front of a town because it's going good, but all of a sudden, no one's gonna want to go there because the wealthy people that probably made it what it is that makes all the TikTok influencers want to go there are gonna
not go anymore. So then it's going to become you know this, like spring Break Girls gone wild Ship Show. Take it off your list.
