So yesterday, and I really never leave the house. I'm always been in to pajamas. I don't go out, but I always go to my daughter's games. And so like, I want to be snack mom, and so I bring all my popcorns because I left over popcorns from my birthday party last weekend. I'm like, I'm gonna be snack mom even though there's another snack mom today. I'm gonna zubble down on the snacks. I was big with cinnabon. The popcorn will be a hit great, So I put
them in. I put on my cute outfit, like a sweater like this, and my jeans because if I'm leaving the house, I'm wearing something. I don't care who I'm seeing. So I'm holding in air mez bag. I've got a chair that I bought online that's got a cross body strap. I'm gonna sit at lacrosse. I got the popcorn. So I drive to my daughter's school and I park and the guy says, I said, where's blah blah blah, And he says, oh, that's not here. I said, okay, I
got back in the car. He gave me directions. I park. I think I'm there, I see a field. I get out. I take all the shit across the street. I'm walking and my guy's like, no, that's not here, But you could walk there. These like athletes at this college, so you could walk there. So I walk there like a mile and change, sweating with all the shit to get to the little crossfield. No problem, it's Chili Brins scores
three goals. Great, I'm going. Then she leaves and she goes to her dad after and I'm sitting there and I'm like, how am I gotta walk back to the car? Right? Shit, I parked over there, so I'm like hinting, And the bus they let me come on the La cross bus, the softball slash lacrosse bus to go back to the school. You want to ride back to the school. Sure, I forgot that. I wasn't at the school. I get back to the school, the car is not there, Like, where's
my fucking car? Then my car gets stolen at the school. Car did not get stolen. Gotta walk another where I drove to a couple of miles. My phone's running out. I'm on the phone with Paull. My phone's running out. I'm like, what he's like this is not funny. Like I'm on the side of the highway and Brin's I'm like, where am I going? I don't know where I'm going, and I'm look, I'm kind of nervous. I'm having anxiety. I don't like this right now. I don't like the
way I feel. I don't know where I am. I lost my car, no one's here, I don't can't get an uber, my phone dying. I'm freaking out, like i'm me also I'm like a public person. But plus I'm walking near a highway and like in the middle of the city and I'm freaking out. And then her sports teacher, her sports coach stops me on the side of the road and goes, are you okay? Do you want do you need a rye? I go, oh my god, I'm so horrified because like everyone thinks some action together and
I'm not. And so I'm like, oh, he's a shit show mess. So I get because I left the house. I'm home. I'm fine. No, I'm not. I bang my head, I bleed, I get stitches. I'm a disaster at home too, but it's worse in the wild fucking a. So she just says to me, I want to give you a parents teacher conference. I go, Okay, she goes. Your daughter is superb. She's perfect, She's an angel. I love her. Everyone loves her. I'm like, thank you. So that was her coach who I'm shouting out and that was my day.
So Jennifer Lopez has launched a cocktail brand. Now, Jennifer Lopez works very hard. And I've heard before from people that know her and have worked with her that she wants it really badly, like she wants to be a Latina billionaire, and she works so hard that I'm surprised that she isn't. But she's always had this incredible drive and work ethic and you can see it, you can energetically feel it. And I've talked about it with her
beauty line, which I reviewed. It's funny because people were like, do you like it or don't you? Because I talked about it. But there's so many celebrity beauty lines that and I don't even love a lot of them. But I notice the way that Rihanna's hustling it and she's made a connection to this fan base. And you see Selena Gomez really connecting to this audience and Gaga connecting also and they're doing really well, Like God didn't work the first time, and now she's come back with House
Labs and it's doing really well. And you can see Jennifer Lopez trying so hard to jump in and grab this. And it's interesting how certain celebrities don't hit in the same way that others do in certain areas. Like Beyonce had Jeans I think years ago Derrianna and it didn't hit. I've talked about that. J Loo and Mark Anthony were at Sears and they had their own respective lines and it didn't hit. The Kardashians were at Sears years ago. It didn't hit their tanning, didn't hit their hair, their
credit card. There are so many failures with many big, big celebrities that do end up hitting. So with Jennifer Lopez, it hasn't been hitting in the body Glow because I think people are realizing that Scott Barnes said that he put Jurgins on her, and I think she's launching a product and making it like it's the product, and so that's a dangerous game like anything and so and with the skincare a lot of people don't really believe that she's using. And I don't know why people would believe
that rihann is really using it. Maybe because she's using it the super Bowl or just they just believe her and Selena Gomez. They just trust her and they're not trusting Jennifer Lopez with the body and the face products. It's just not connecting. Connecting in business and with a brand is so important, and it's like seeming forced. I'm
watching it and it's seeming force. Doesn't mean that she won't do well, because she just has such a massive following that if you just even pick up the scraps of people that follow her and like her, that she should do well. But it's just an interesting thing to notice that it's not clicking and connecting and it's not as easy as it has been for other people. Addison Rey, her line got taken out of Sephora. No matter how many millions of people that she has following her on TikTok,
they weren't connecting in this makeup space. Her brand item just didn't hit. It's not easy. Scarlett Johansson, she has a brand. I think it's called Outset. It didn't click. I don't think Pharrell's line clicked. I don't think Brad Pitt's line clicked. Everybody's line doesn't click. Ariana Grande's rim or a rem it's not clicking. It's doing fine, I'm sure, and I'm sure the residual is great, but it's not
popping off. And now j Lo launched a cocktail and the bottle looks pretty and it looks cool, and people went crazy because she has historically and consistently discussed that she goes to bed early, she focuses on her health, and she doesn't drink. So the thing is, so many people jumped into cocktails after I had the success with Skinny Girl. And I've told you guys this before, and
it's an absolute fact. And it may seem like I'm just patting myself on the back, and maybe i am, because it was a long time ago, and I was not afraid to get into a category that people were
afraid to get into. But so many people Kim Kardashian does not drink, did not drink, and yet she got involved and took a million dollars from Madori to do a liquor a spokesperson deal because she saw that Skinny Girl money and had an agent that I had had, and she wanted that money, so she went from a dory and Jennifer Lopez is seeing that liquor and beauty money and she wants a piece of that. She wants
to be a billionaire. And she herself has historically said that the reason for her health and her skin and her glow and why she looks young even you know, though it could be many reasons why she looks young. Could be filtering, could be makeup, could be surgery, It could be botox, could be a million things. But it's because she doesn't drink. So now it's like cringe because she's attributing her glow to these products and attributing her
cocktails to her lifestyle which do not include drinking. So I think it still should do well because the product
itself looks good. I'm just wondering who created the brand and the brand name, And maybe they were like Srock, which was an existing brand and didn't do well, and they got Didty involved to promote it, and he took per case piece and made a lot of money because it seemed authentic, like you believed it was like this rat pack that he was part of, and this cool lifestyle and these ads that they connected it hit And so I don't know who's doing these deals for Jennifer Lopez.
I know people on her team, but they're gonna have they're going to have to adjust because they're not hitting. Now. I wouldn't bet against Jennifer Lopez. She works harder than anyone in Hollywood, and no one's gonna take that away from her. And she's wildly entertaining and she's an entertainer.
But these are not clicking and not hitting because we're in a different genre than the way that she came up, Like you have to adjust to right now the truth tellers and the social media authenticity police and the citizens' journalists and all these things that are very different than
ten fifteen years ago. So Jennifer Lopez has been remarkably successful in her music career, going on American Idol brought her back and doing these videos and these tours and the a rod era and the Ben Affleck era, and her amazing outfits and her met gala and red carpet slays. They're all amazing. A red carpet sleigh and a stylist and a good music video and a performance and a tour do not necessarily translate into a brand like Ace of Spades is jay Z's brand, and it hasn't translated.
I'm sure it's successful. I'm sure they do well, and I'm sure he has a loyal fan base, and I get it, but it has not been the same level as like Sarrack or Patrone or George Clooney and Randy Gerber's brand, which are successful because of a connective authenticity. Selena Gomez's beauty brand will exceed her music brand because there's a connectivity and an authenticity. It's just the way that it is. It just Ariana Grande was not able to convert her musical success over to her beauty brand.
Addison Ray was able to convert her TikTok to her TikTok success over to her beauty brand. Kim Kardashian was not able to at the time convert her television audience and her social media success into her credit card, her hair extensions, her clothing line at Sears, all these things. One day she made a click on the heels of Kylie doing it with her lip kits. Kylie was first. Kylie was the first, you know, near billionaire success in
the Kardashian family on that global scale. All the things that the Kardashians tried to do didn't pop off until Kylie with her lip kit. Then it came I think good American Kim ran in to have her KKW makeup KKW lip But then she quickly transferred over into shapewhere and that's where she popped off. That's where she off. So Jlo has to pop off. She has to switch, she has to curve, she has to swerve, she has to figure out how to make it click. It's a
puzzle piece and you got to make it click. And she's got to have the right team making it click for her because she's not having it. The right team is not making Jlo's booze or beauty decisions right now. And Jlo when she got together with Alex Rodriguez, let go of much of her branding team and switched over to a Rod's team and let him handle a lot of her business. And then they got enmeshed and partnered
in so many things which they had to entangle. And she probably has done the same thing with Ben Affleck. She goes with the teams of the people that she's in a relationship with because the one thing that she is the best at and her team is the best that is the music and the videos and the amazing outfits and the stylists and all that stuff. So you got to find out who's the person in that business
to pop off the brand. Products are different than TikTok and social media and products are different than a television show. And there's these mediums. Now, what's happening is there are all these mediums. You have TikTok, you have Instagram, you have YouTube, you had Twitter, you have television, you have streamers, you have music. All these mediums are different. They don't often convert. You could be a TikTok famous star, you
don't convert to Instagram. You certainly I want to do a TV show with a bunch of influencers and a producer, a big producer. Bravo said to me, it won't. It doesn't work. They don't convert. Just because you do well on TikTok for a thirty second video doesn't mean you can hold down a television show. Just because you can hold down a television show doesn't mean you should have music video. Just because you could be successful in a music video doesn't mean you should have a liquor brand.
Just because you're successful at having a liquor brand doesn't mean you'll be successful and having a product brand. Just because you're success we having a product brand doesn't mean you'll be good at Instagram. You know, like Chrissy Tigan, her niche is her cooking and her cookbooks and her Instagram. Her niche is not YouTube. Her niche is not TV. Her niche is not music. Her nieche is not TikTok.
Her niche is Instagram. So that's why you get these triple quadruple threats where you've got a Selena Gomez who had a nice cooking show that I think did fairly well. She has a musical career that's done well. She does well on TikTok, she does well on Instagram, she's doing well in beauty. Like someone like Selena Gomez has has converted. And even Justin Bieber, we don't know what you know, he has fragrances, but Justin Bieber has he converted? He
closed justice, It seems like it's probably converted. I don't know. Has Scott Disick converted his TV fan into his sweatshirt fan? He might just by the sheer force of a social media powers, but I don't actually know
