Season Six of Jury Duty will focus on the New Jersey Attempted Murder Trial of Michael Barisone… Barisone, an Olympic Athlete and Equestrian trainer, did not dispute that he was trying to kill his student Lauren Kanarek and her boyfriend, Robert Goodwin. Instead his lawyers argued, he was not guilty because he was trying to defend himself and because he was insane.
