Welcome member one to another episode of the Just Agains Cast. I believe this episode one seventy nine. I am your host, Rob aka Zen. Joining me today are my lovely friends, some of my favorite people in the world. Ryan, how are you well? It's probably doing everyone doing okay? Hopefully this what is it Sunday? And everyone recording? But it is a Sunday. But yeah, we're getting ready for another JSB Games Cast. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm excited video games. Although I'm excited, but
I'm also like very low energy at the same time. Sure, so it's like it's a weird thing going on on the inside of me. But I am genuinely excited. I want you guys to understand. How are you all right? I'm here exists within a frame of mind, relatable within a frame of video game mind. I think I don't know all the weird relationships with video games right now. I'm not sure, Parson, do you want to
talk about it? I do? All right, Well, floys, all yours, let's talk about this is This is our new segment called JSP Games Cast Therapy. Yep, and Drew, I was Strand Stambougle. That's fine, that's fine. Uh, so yeah, you know, last month the game came out, a little game called Street Fund six hum. We've talked about it a lot. They have that game has its claws in me. Bad. Yeah, dude, bad. Like I cannot stop thinking about this game. I can't stop playing this game. It's I have three hundred hours
within a month. That's insane. I want people to understand that I cannot get Drew to put three hundred hours into a Trails game within a month. That's how big a deal this is. Yeah, pretty wild? Like IM, I don't understand how this is possible to be perfectly ones. Like when I look at my playtime on the PlayStation screen, I'm like, there's no way that says three ds. No way, it's a go. Is the glecting the system? I mean it's probably more of like a month and a
half, but that that's still like averaging what five hours? Basically pretty much this game. This game is good and more I play it like, fuck the haters on Twitter, fuck the pros, fuck everybody. This game is so fucking good and I will die on this hill. I don't think many people are going to argue too hard against I don't know. I feel like every game. Mh, but I I legitimately love Street Fighter six and I cannot stop playing it. Um, I've started messing around with other characters.
I'm not start with ken fordit uh just to kind of see, you know, try and see what other characters do, especially characters that I feel like, man, this character just gets to do whatever they want. Well that's the case. Let me play them and see if that's actually the case. And then you know, you kind of starting to learn, like what a
character's weaknesses are. And playing other characters is also just kind of makes you appreciate the options of the previous character you were playing, because now those tools are suddenly no longer available to you, and you're like, well, shit, I don't have those tools anymore. I have these tools, So how do I use these tools to do the same thing that I was doing with
last character with different tools? And so like, in that aspect, it's almost like playing a brand new fighting Yes, it's true, that's why I enjoyed playing multiple characters. However, I kind of put that on pause for the sole purpose of there was an execution barrier that was kind of limiting me, and that execution barrier was using dry cancels off of loads, which is far more pertinent to Ken's game plan than DJs. So, to give a
brief context, DJ uses drive very differently from how Ken does. DJ uses drive about just as much, but instead of doing like drive cancels in the strings, which he still does do, he primarily uses it from neutral or as a quote unquote link. He doesn't use drive cancels, and that's a lot easier for me as a player to do than drive cancels. And to explain what that is, a drive cancel is canceling any button, any special cancel button with forward forward, and it will cancel that move and then you
will dash forward and you have a certain amount of advantage. Now that doesn't sound hard, but when you're in the heat of a match and like you're trying to do something and you hit a button and you try to hit four four or it can be really awkward, specifically if you're playing on stick.
I feel like this was something that was more difficult on stick than it is on any sort of leverless option, whether it be hit box or pad or whatever, to the point that like, if I wanted to check out these other characters, I was like, maybe I should switch over to hit box because you know, if this is an execution thing, and like, this is not something I want to have to waste time in the lab practicing because it feels like something that comes naturally to other players that maybe I should just
sort of cut out the middleman and make it easier for me. However, Capcom said, fuck that, We're going to make it easier for you, and they're releasing an update that just allows you to drive cancel using a short cut, and I love them for it. Yeah, it's a it's a
good move. I know a lot of people were asking for the short cut for the drive button, so it's cool that Copcom is like listening and making those justine and like, I like how they did in a way that doesn't necessarily break or abuse anything, like, for example, charge characters won't be able to abuse it because you have to be able to or you have to input it from like a neutral or forward moving position, so charge characters can't
store a charge while doing it, which I think is really cool. So it truly is just like a quality of life upgrade for players who choose to play their fighting games on stick that wasn't afforded to them that PAD player or lead a list players had access to. And I think that's really cool. I think finding a way to sort of even that playing field is the sort
of quality of life upgrades I want to continue to see. And I would have said I would have found that cool if if like the situation had been the other way around, you know, like if it was something that like stick players had a significant advantage for that you know, PAD and leadless players didn't have, then I would be like, Okay, well that doesn't really affect me, but I think that's really cool. I'd like to see that
Capcom is actively supporting their game. This feels like a very different Capcom than, like it only sixteen Capcom. It's very wild. There's a key person that is not in a position right now, that's very true. I didn't realize he was the problem, the big problem. I really didn't. Well, I thought street Fighter four was fine. Well yeah, and then it comes post Street Fighter four where things fall apart. Yeah, that's fair.
Fair. And I don't know how directly how much direction Ono had in four, you know, because I think like four was Ono's like first project lead. I'd have to go back and look at that stuff again. Yeah, I'm not I'm not too familiar if that is or not. I felt like he was at the lead to something else before, but I don't. I think that was the first into into like the fighting game. Right, it's like a fighting game for them, but like protected them forward to be like
the head of everything to come after that. Well, I know he wasn't the head of Marvel, but he wasn't a head of cross teching and that did not go over wells and being a good game eventually. Yeah, but there were like a lot of issues with cross Tech and right the DLC being on the disc and um, but it's funny to bring that. It's funny you bring that up because Street Fighter five did eventually become an okay game, very much the Street Fighter cross Tech and eventually becoming a good game. The
first few years of that game was an absolute dumpster fire. Same with Street Fighter fives. There's a definite parallels between the two. Mmmmmmm. Well, for what it's worth, I'm happy he's gone because Three Fighter six is an amazing game. Yeah. I think every I think everybody, uh as far as cap gob goes, is happy that. I Oh, no, it's
not. But like the more I play a Street Fighter six and the more I use its features, Like, this game is so well designed for It's not only just like new players like it's it's so it caters so well to new players, it caters so well to players who really want to try and improve it just it caters to every level of fighting game player that I have
not seen, you know in any other fighting game that I've played. Yeah, yeah, we've It's like, I mean, we we've mentioned that before, right where it's just like this is a complete package, Like this is the this is the stand out like next to like an MK or something where it like penetrates through to a casual audience in a way that like no other game in this series really has, right, And it has like a staying
power that like a lot of those other games didn't really have. Um, you had a really good single player mode, you have a really good multiplayer mode. You have you have a host of multiplayer modes both silly and serious. You have a really strong neck code to go along with it. You have a really good training mode. You also have bonus Capcom games in the lobby, right, you have avatar battles. So it's like there's so much in here just for everybody, you know, It's just a complete package.
And like every day I feel like I'm finding some new future, Like over the weekend or before the week before the weekend. I entered a tournament last week t and US on Wednesday, and I had replays for the matches that I lost and a couple of my buddies and I want to sit down and wash the matches and wrongst that I hadn't saved them. Well, what's cool is that Catcom just stores all those fucking replays on a server that you can access in the game, and you can just go look at, like by
date, all of your matches. It's crazy, Yeah, I think. Um. I also read that the game does a really good job of like keeping track of like the matchups that you're struggling with, and like recommending videos to you or replay data towards things that you're losing to, which I also find very very good. Right yea, I love stuff like that. Like
just I cannot rave enough about this game. And again, like I eat, breathe, and sweep this game, like it's so fucking goods and it just makes me want to compete more and it makes me want to play it more like it's a complete one eighty of how I felt when I first played Street Fighter five. So I think Capcom has earned a good deal of faith for me going forward. So I look forward to what this game brings.
I mean, we have we have the patch tomorrow on Monday, July twenty fourth world, we'll have Rashid and we'll have the new short cut, and I'm all about it, all about it. Did they say anything about fixing the input buffer though? I think the way the input buffer is designed right now is intentional, and I hate it. I feel like that's something they're
gonna end up adjusting. That's the while. And I hate the rain on the street Fighter sixth parade because I agree with a lot of things that you say, like as far as what they've done with it, But I'm sorry, the input buffer in this game is the worst it's ever been in the street Fighter modern game, Like it's worse the Street Fighter fives like then, And to me like that, like for me, that's such a big detractor for me, Like if I'm if I'm trying to do something and it stores
a level two for jury when I just simply cross under an opponent and I try to do like Crouch medium punch, but it buffers a level two on me and I get destroyed for it like that to me, Like it ruins it for me in that it's it's very annoying and like I agree with everything
else. Don't get me wrong, I agree with everything else, but that input buffer, the way they have it is atrocious to me because there are so many things that come out for me that I don't even come close to inputting, but it just stores it and it gives that input instead of what I'm actually trying to do. I get the feeling that like that, that's one that's also been a very constant thing, right, um that I feel
like Capcom probably is taking notice of. I feel like that's something that probably comes after either sure um if I was to take a take a stab at it, but I'm willing to bet that that's something that they tweak and adjust. I hope. I don't know. I don't know, like I'll tight they'll make it right, but I imagine that going to adjust it to something
degree. Yeah, I mean, I hope so, because I like, I want to play the game, and I like the game, but I mean that input buffer to me is such a detractor like for me personally, and again that's me personally. Um, I absolutely just didn't Again this is me personally. I get it, but I cannot stand it when I input something and it doesn't give it to me, or like it gives me something completely random that I wasn't even close to inputting. Hm did it ruins the
fun for me in that regard. That's fair. I think that's fair. Unfortunately, it's not something I can comment on because I ultimately haven't really had that issue too much. Um Like, it just has not come up for me. Maybe it's because I'm playing a charge character. I don't know, but I mean for the people that affects, I hope I hope that capcom addresses it. Yeah, Like I said that, that's my biggest detractor of
the game. I agree with everything else, but that part just like it just it just infuriates me whenever things like that go the way it does. Yeah, I think that's probably the biggest thing that I hear from people like that. That's that's the one that like you hear a lot of like random complaints, right, and it's like that you can sift through the ones that
are just like you're fucking complaint for taken complaint. But this is the one that, like I feel collectively seems to be an actual larger issue I play, I see could I see this come up like a lot from many different levels of play. But we'll see what happens, you know. Now, I hope it does get a fixed and I hope it does get adjusted. But I mean everything else so that you know Drew mentioned went the game,
I definitely feel the same way about the direction of where it is. Like as far as like initial launches for street Fighter six, this is the best one they've had since street Fighter two, Like, like it's it's that that good of a release, Like I felt like everything else that was spot on, but my god, that input buffer is like, oh it's it's the worst of any street Fighter game. I think you can make the argument that this is probably the first version, the best first version of probably any fighting
game. Yeah, I feel I agree, honest I could agree with that. Um I struggle to think of anything that had a better first version. You know, so if this is their base, like I feel like we can only go up, you know, yeah, well you would think, let's let's let's see if it actually stays that way. We've seen We've seen some people find ways a mess good things up in the past, so we'll see. We've seen fumbles. But I have I have a good feeling.
I think good feel Yeah. But I think with this crew that's running, that's running the show right now for scree Fighter, I think there are I think I think they're on point. I don't think they're gonna do anything that's gonna be like yeah, yeah, they'll be all yeah, I don't know. I choose to remain positive. Just fix the input buffer. That's that's my biggest thing. Just fix the input bupper. We stay positive in this house. Oh, I started playing some theater of them again. I revisited
the game. Now that a good deal of DLCI bought six months ago is finally out. Um all said, a good deal, a good deal of it. In other words, right, I'll continuating I guess over half over half, but it leads on into November. Oh jesus, I'll pick it up in November. Well, I mean it's just like every two to three weeks or so they release another pack instead of just releasing it all at once.
Where right, next baby um but um. The packs that I have come out Corona Trigger, Corona Cross, every freaking Saga game, Uh, Secret, Amona Trials, Amana Near, both Mata Replicants, Original Mirror, Octopath Traveler, which is the one that I have been waiting for for so long, and only gave me five songs. But it's fine. The note
tracks that they've made for them are sick. I'm still I'm still impressed that they added another difficulty to the game, and I still don't know how that's possible because I can't read the charts and there's just notes on notes on notes, and I'm like, I don't understand how you can't part of it at all. It's just overlapping to the point where it's blurs. Yeah. Well, like that's why I like, I'm trying to play Jube, right, like our local kay how you beat and like on some of the harder levels,
it's just hard to parse like where the notes are coming from. Yeah, it comes from like a thing of like repetition, right, So like if you play this, you have to play the song enough to the point where like eventually you just end up internalizing where it is rather than like reacting to where the notes are you know, um, but it's place. It takes a lot of plays, though it's not an easy thing, like it is easier said than done, like you're gonna end up spending like fifty dollars
or so, just the fucking But it has it on free play. Oh well that's that's good. But it's all in Japanese and finding a song is difficult and you only get like fifty seconds to find a song and it's a very long menu. Anyway, theaterrhythm still continues to be tight. I I still like the upgrades that final bar line, like really give I don't think I can play that game on the TV for issues of like input latency, I tend to just I tend to just play it handheld on my switch as
opposed to like trying to play it on GV. I just I'm not about trying to like fine tune that I know you've probably done it, rob because of like you're the meeting games that you've played. Like but like it's not that bad because like the TV itself doesn't really have that much of an input
delay if it's really just like one frame. Um, so like adjusting is not difficult at all no, um, But there are definitely other TVs, especially like if you want to leave on things like UM HDR and all that shit, where like it gets very difficult right when you when your TV is approaching like three, four or five frames of input delay, then it's like, oh, this is a hassle. But yeah, my TV is is very easy. It doesn't take much at all. Okay, But so I
will continue to play theaterism. I will continue to half fi. I mean, it's theater rhythm. If you played theater rhythm before you know what to expect. I actually just found out that there was a Kingdom Hearts Theato rhythm yes, no, not ye, and it's cannon to the story of course it is. Yeah, it's a good game. Always always cannon, hey everything it's it's Yogoshima Mora music. So like, at the very least, I know, Kingdom Arts is an amazing sound drag. I just cannot care
two f's about that series. I just can't. It's a darting shame. I like Final Fantasy and I like Disney, but something about putting it together, it's just nah, I'm sorry I say shame. I don't know. It's more shameful that or not pet and torgal well, not that intergal. It's like the highest sin you could ever Yeah, I'll get over yourself. It is the highest sin. You don't even want to any want um anyway.
The final title that I've been playing, Oh boy, alright. I granted I'm not too far in and I'm only about two hours, but it's a relatively short game. I started to check out Trigger Trigger on Nintendo Switch, which was gatting that randomly showed up at my house because I ordered it and then I forgot to cancel it, so it showed up at my house and I was like, Okay, screw it, we'll check it out. Well, it's here, Let's let's see what I bought. Yeah, I'm
looking it up right now because I have not heard of this game. The art like, the reason I ordered is because the artwork Gordeous, Like I really I really like the artwork. And you know, sometimes I typically luck out when I order something based on good artwork tends to be in good game. It's what happened with Rudin Factory, for I do not regret that b I bought Ruin Factory for strictly on man this box art is sick. That artwork is gorgeous. Yeah, I've never played a Ruin Factory game before in
my life. I don't care for Harvest Moon, but fucking that artwork is gorgeous and I love that game. Yeah. So I was like, you know what, maybe'll maybe you'll have a game now nom So. So the game is, uh, it's very fast paced. It feels like I'm playing a super nintended the game in twenty twenty three. Uh, it's very heavily
inspired my Secret and Mana. So the point where it has like ring menus, the sort of like items system is kind of still there, like Secret of Mana's item system where like the calm bats really shallow, but you can switch between like eight different items, like I can tell that is the direction where it's going, or like the combat wants to pretend it's not shallow, like there's a dodge role like so basically like the combat is like you have
like this three hit strike right, which by the way, there's no hit feel like there's just no hit stop. Like hitting things just doesn't feel like anything. It feels terrible. It almost feels like I'm playing a mobile game, right and I'm just like this is not this does not feel good, and I'm just like, how did James tell me this was tight? And so like I'm continuing playing a long content, I'm like, you know, this game is moving pretty fast, because like it runs you through like the
first dungeon pretty be fast. So it starts introducing you to like the main mechanics, and it pretty much gives you every everything in the beginning of the game outside of like weapons that you clearly unlock, but like as far as combat goes, you have like your basic attack, and then like after you go through the first dungeon, you unlock the main mechanic, which is like the trigger mechanic, right, and so the trigger mechanic is sort of like
a reimagining of the Spirits from Secret of Mana, where like you had the eight Spirits and they were all like different elements and they can like provide elemental attacks to your weapons and all of that, right, And so I have like the fire trigger and the water trigger, and they give you like in your three hit string. You can customize the moves all right, Like you can go into the menu and you're like you'd say, Okay, the first attack is gonna be this, second attack is going to be this, and
the third attack is gonna be this. However, those moves a lock to like, well, these moves can only be used in the first attack. These moves can only be and I'm just like none of this like really changes anything. Like they have power values in terms of what you're doing, but there's really no reason to not use the thing with the highest power, is it? Not like difference in like attack startup and stuff like that, So like one path would feel or not that I could tel Like that's what I
was, That's what I was going to like try. And like the second weapon you unlock is the bow, and like the bow I can already tell is broken because like you're fighting it from a distance, um, but also has these moves like one is a jump forward, one is to jump back, and like clearly there's like all this movement inspired around like the bow attacks, but the thing is and like you would think that movement would be useful for like, Okay, I can attack and like dodge enemy attacks and whatnot,
right, but the enemy AI is dumber than a bag of malants at the bottom of a frozen lake. Damn, that's pretty stupid. I'm saying right now. Granted I'm in the first two hours, but like the enemy is kind of just stand there and like they may attack once, maybe you don't kill them. Actually, this kind of sounds like my game. I mean, I'm kind of planning to see how much of a hot messes go.
I haven't even gotten to like the characters in the story yet, we haven't even gotten There's also one aspect of the combat that I'm not like really a big fan of, and that's there's a stamina meter. I feel like
this was reminiscent. I feel like this is reminiscent of Secret tomorrowl there was something in secreta mono like this where like so every time you swing your sword, it takes like a little bit out of the stamina meter, and if you attack when the stamina meter is zero, your attacks do no damage.
So like you're expected to like mash your way through these enemies, but you have to stop at a point to let your gauge fillback up and then start swinging again, and like that just kind of interrupts the fund that you're having because it's not like you have to be strategic versus these enemies, because they they're just they're just you're you're shredding through them like paper. And like the fungier ones, they're not hard. They just take more hits, and they
might take more hits than your gauge allow. So you're like you have to stop swinging, wait for the gage to fill back up, and then start swinging again. I say, I'm not saying that. Yeah, yeah that that does not feel very good. And then you have a supermove, which they haven't really indicated like what powers it up. But when your weapon is glowing, you can unleash the supermove and then it does a super move which does a ton of damage. And the animate like all the animations WOK like
really low budget and cheap. I feel like I'm playing like a very low budget DS shovelware game. I mean that's kind of them. But the appearance would have you seen, like right, Like that's the vibe I get whenever it's a trailer for it, like I expected this. It's probably like a low budget um probably a very it is a fool game. It is a
food review game, so take that for what you will. I know they did Alliance Alive, and I think Alliance Alive has like a pretty big could following, but it's like it was either Alliance Alive or like the other one that was like a Saga Spiritual Successor. And then like a well, um oh did they they did that game? Just like they're just making knockoffs of
every popular JRPG. They're all over the place, because like Kalidia Effect is just knock off persona, right, I mean I don't have not played it, so like I can't really get into details about it, but I mean there is a persona vibe to it. I don't know how much i'd say have to knock off, but there's a vibe there. Well, I can tell you this is knockoff Secret Amana, and Secret Amana is already a knockoff.
I haven't replayed that for this podcast recently. Um Like, and then the characters are like very so the pace of the story is moving like so fast, right, Like it's very it's very generic. Like you you have a hero who wakes up. He's an orphan, his his real parents died. A surrogate family like adopts him. He's got like the adoptive sister like but potential love interest like they He's got a mysterious symbol in his eye. It glows sometime, and this dude is like the most like laid back about
it. He's like, don't worry, it'll stop. It doesn't even hurt. Worry about it. His dude, his eye is like glowing red and there's a symbol in it, and dudes just like, no big deal, no big they don't hurt, so why bother. It's fine, don't worry about it. I'm just like, what is going on? Like are these characters real? Like there's conversation between like Kim and his adoptive sister and like his adoptive sisters, Like it's it's the classic anime trope, Like his adoptive
sisters like cooking dinner for them because it's just them. They're orphans, Like we're big on anime tropes here, Like they're orphans. She makes dinner and she's just like, well, I need to get ready for when I get married, and like brother mode kicks in. He's like, what are you talking about? You're not even seeing anybody. And then she's like, well, you know what if I don't see anybody, maybe I can just settle
for you. It's not like oh, and like they just throw it all out on the table like they're not even fucking trying, And I'm like, bro, what is going on a real conversation? Listen, she has her eyes in the prize, all right, she knows what she wants. Priorities, Like priorities. Every conversation is like that. Like just anytime there's a
story, conversation like this just keeps happening. So like you get the second party member, we're just character name the leaves, and she just shows up at your house after you finish the first dungeon, and like she walks in and she's just like, hey, I want to hire you for the job or for a job. And then your adopted sister's like, okay, well i'm gonna leave you two alone and I'm gonna go shopping for no reason other
than just to like remove her from the scenario. Because the second your sister leads, she's just like, hey, uh, siance, and somebody's trying to kill you and I'm here to stop them. And I'm just like, what is fucking happening. Weren't you just about to hire me for a job. Couldn't you've just opened with hey, someone's trying to kill you, and then like some bullshit happens of like they're trying to kill you because you're you're
the chosen warrior of Chaos and there's the chosen Warrior of order. Like there's there's two gods, there's Order and chaos, and like there's a secret war and now they're taking for Stranger of Paradise, you do chaos there. So I'm saying, so, now, yeah, right, the two gods were at war, but now instead of the gods fighting each other, they have proxy fight for them, which is the Warrior of Order and the Warrior of
Chaos. And so Release is coming to try and stop the Warrior of Order and the Warrior of Chaos and fighting each other because that'll stop the war. Because there are people who want to kill the Warrior of Chaos to prolong the war, to like stop the duel between the Warrior of Order and the Warrior of Chaos from happening. And I'm sitting here thinking, I'm like, isn't this the same thing, Like if you stop the warrior of Order and Warrior
of Chaos from fighting each other, isn't that prolonging the war? Just like killing the warrior of Chaos is like, I don't understand what your goal here is, lady. This sounds pretty amazing. It's it's a fucking hot mess, bro, It's so it's so wild and like like the character deliveries are
just like what is what is happening? You're not real people, You're not real people like Cian the protagonists, like, hey, look I'll go with you for now, but if you're lying to me and somebody actually isn't trying to kill me, I'm out of here. And I'm like, huh, you'd be happy. You wouldn't be happy if someone wasn't trying to kill you, Like, I don't understand what are you getting? Huh? Are you
going to see this game to the end? I don't know. My time is limited and like I really want to play and then said I'm playing this so like I don't want to play though, because we're gonna start trails when I get back from you know, I don't know what's going on. I've lost control. I like this game is awful, is very bad. This is where he is now, This is awful game territory. So like my relationship with games is like, so I can't play normal games because every time
I'm playing normal games. I'm like, I couldn't be playing street Fighter. But then instead of playing street Fighter or normal games, ocide to boot up this fucking hot track and then like, I'm very serious as to where this goes? Why am I compelled to play the bad game? That happens? Man? Sometimes, like you, you either see a game or you started for a little bit and you're just like, this can't be this bad. Uh, And then you start it and you're like, it's pretty bad,
but can I get worse? And now it's you're just playing it just to see how worse it can get. Because you have to know. You gotta know that the bad game rabbit hole. Yeah, yeah, in somebody telling you that it's bad, it is not enough, right, You have to experience it. You have to you have to know. Right, I've been there, I understand. This is why I haven't played about here Chronicles for man, you had like you usually play that game. This is not why.
It's true, that's true. I don't know what to make it. This game that's fun, honestly, sounds like sounds like a goofy fun time. At the end of the day, sounds like a pretty goofy fun bad game. Have you played dolls on it? You can play what I have not, So what if I save it for the next time. I'll come to Jack's and we just get drunk and play through it together. I'll do it. Sounds like a fun time, all right, That's what I'll do, and then we can give the full JSB drunk review. Yeah, which
means I can return to the other game I was playing. I'm just kind of tight. I had one more and you weren't expecting it. Oh my god, drew playing Street Fight or six? What are you taking me for? Somebody? You know? I was being serious? What have you play? What else have you been play? It is Capcom Adjason? Have you been playing Extra Primal? No, that's that's not Capcom and Jason, that's Capcom. Wells, I mean that's somewhat beg to differ. Yeah, Oh,
have you been playing Extra Problems? Sounds like a very entertaining story. I haven't downloaded. Yes, Uh no, so I checked out Gravity Circuit recently. Oh yeah, Ravit CERC just actually recently came out, and that game is just MegaMan zero. Went straight out. It's just MegaMan zero.
That's right down your alley, like Okay, it's it's like Mega man X meets Mega Man zero, which is a weird phrase to say because like Mega Man zero, it's just an evolution of Mega man X, but like there are aspects of both in there, Like it's very clearly directly inspired on any answer. Um, looks like it. Yeah he even has robot. Yeah. Uh it looks like a very well polished like game Boy color game. Uh, Like that's the aesthetic that was going forward all about it. Like
I think it looks great. Yeah. Um, I haven't played much of it, Like I've only played through like the intro level and like the first level because I decided to play the game on hard. That might have been a mistake. I made them it down to normal just to like learn how to play the game because the game itself is fucking brutal. I could not beat the first boss. Okay, that's not true. I beat the first boss, and the first boss was a piece of cake, and I was
like, it's really hard mode. And then I played through my first level and that was hard. And then I got to the boss and then I couldn't beat the boss and I was like, huh interesting, Oh so you equipal I think we'll end up beating the tutorial and be like, oh, this game ain't shit, and then it's like, all right, well his actual game now, damn game's got mans game and in fact have hands. I think part of it is, like, so movement in that game feels
really cool. It takes a lot of mechanics from Mega Man zero that I feel weren't fully explored, specifically from zero two where you had the chain rod which kind of operated like a hook shot to a degree. This game kind of takes that mechanic and fully flushes it out, and I think that's really cool. Like you're able to use it to like swing from platforms and like
keep your momentum going. Like it's very clearly this game was designed to be like speed run by people at a certain point, Like I definitely expect to see this game on Summer games done quick that it's going to be a really
fun run. I'm sure. Yeah. Well, like movement in the game feels really cool because like you have like instead of a MegaMan style dash, your your character gravity circuit or kai uh he just runs right and like you can hold down the button to run and the access like your MegaMan zero dash and so like you can run and then like swing and like do all these things and it just moving around feels really good, right, right, you have a slide. Uh. The only thing that I was having an issue
with is the game expects you to fight in close quarters. Instead of buster shots, you have punches. Get a close personal. Now you're damage. Your hook shot can do damage, but a lot, it's not a lot. And also the problem with that is it doesn't build up what the game's
main mechanic is, which is the birst gage. And the birst gage is like special that you can do when you're a birth gage is full, kind of like the Nova strikes and Mega man X, where like if your meter was full, you can unreach this powerful attack, and like you can unlock all these different like burst moves like ones a supplex and others ashore you can the others like a rider kick, Like there are several burst moves that you
can unlock, and like it's definitely clear that like there's a lot of depth here with this combat because like you can do like juggle combos and like when you beat an enemy, like they'll explode, but you can like pick them up before they explode and like you can throw them at other enemies, so like you can keep a string of like a tax doing by like throwing enemies.
That b One of the coolest things is like I'm going through a level and like an enemy throws a grenade at me, and I hook shop the grenade, catch it, and throw it back at the enemy, And I'm like, this game's fucking tight. That's very cool. Like I'm watching the trailer. It looks crazy tight. I gotta lie. It's really really cool. I definitely recommend it. It's like twenty bucks. It's on everything. It's on Steam, it's on Switch, it's on PlayStation. Um, it's
really really cool. I have enjoyed what I played so far. I may just double dip and get it on Switch so I can play it while I'm traveling. Uh if I don't just have it on on BF five for some reason, because I was like, I've lost faith in my Uh I lost faith in the Switch's ability to like run games competently. Yeah, Um, so I just I should have just bought it on steam Deck. But I forget. I forget I own a steam Deck. Um, it's a game
here, bro, It's not amfortable. It's a handheld, it's not amfortable. I'll say the same thing about the switch. I mean just looking at it as it's a device that plays video games. That's you know, I'm very simple. It's like, okay, I can play the video game and in bed. Well. See, like my thing is is like when it comes to portable game or portable consoles, like if I go on a bus ride, I can like whip it out and play for like fifteen minutes and
then you like put it away. And that's something like the three d S or the PSP or the Vito was like really good for it because like if it in your pocket, you didn't really need to have like a very special case for it. Like the Vita and the PSP had slip covers, and the three DS the screens were protected because of the clamshell design. Right, Um, that really doesn't work for like the switch and the and the Steam
Deck unfortunately. So like this is this is very clearly anything and I understand that, but like it's really hard for me to play You used those consoles to play games portably the same way I did PSP or three Yes, it's very it's very weird to describe it like that. And not get it. It's definitely a mean thing, but like that's just how it is. I guess, I don't know, maybe that way they do. But riley S are good at tight and I definitely recommend it. Hell yeah, all right,
I'll go it to look see when I can't. Um, I think that's it, okay, all right, all right, it's a good state of games. I like that. I like that I actually brought content. I brought contents. Fuck yeah, hell yeah I did. I will give you an A for your for your segments. Uh, Ryan, Rob, what have you been up to in your neck of the woods? Um? Not really a whole lot. Um, I've really been on the Nike Grind a lot. I'm still on Nike. Oh boy. Yeah, in deep.
I am very much in deep and uh to the point where I have not booted up a mental moria in like a week. Oh it's that bad. The last remaining members gone. It breaks my heart too, because I do I do me much more. But same. Yeah, I'm I'm very much like just right now, just all in on Nike as far as like the gotcha games are concerned and everything, And it literally got me essentially, uh, the new character they released, which is a which is a U
character that's a banner. It's a pirate girl named Mast. Uh yep ka look her upright. Yeah. I was actually gonna post a photo over in the in the uh I got her. Yeah, but it's funny because she definitely reminds me of a marine marine. Yeah. Yeah, this is big marine energy. Like you could just tell me this is a marine skin. Yes, And I think there was even like a fan art piece of the outfit swap of marine and mast. It's just like the difference. Yeah,
you really can't. Yeah that is blatantly marine. Yeah. So, but she's she seemed cool. I played through the uh the event story with her, and uh, she's Yes, she's very much a goof and it's very very good. Um. So, like I've been trying to pull for her, I haven't gotten her yet. I've got any other banner characters, um, but like, um, I haven't been able to get this one yet.
They're actually pretty like lenient on your like wish list, like when you wish for certain characters and stuff like that, because apparently with the way things level and everything, and once you start limit breaking them, it takes like a lot of resources to limit break them, so like they're very very generous on when you pull duplicates and stuff like that, just so just so you can still be able to do everything you need to do, for like the
limit breakers are in this game, the core breaks and stuff like that to be able to keep enhancing the characters and stuff. So I haven't I've hit a little bit of a barrier, but it's not too bad because like the resources, like I said, they just come to you very very quickly, so like you're not like stuck forever in a certain spot and everything. If anything, it's like maybe a few days that you're stuck at like a certain
spot before you can level level things up. Where sometimes like as much as I love about Mental Morning, I kind of felt that way, like I'd be stuck in a spot for like weeks before I can advance past it. Weeks, weeks and months that at that. That's how idol games work. Yeah, you gotta get to the wall and then you gotta break it, and and your only uh like reward for breaking the wall it's a new wall,
Yeah, a bigger and thicker wall. So um so like I haven't quite hit that yet, especially with how like I've been kind of like playing the game and stuff like that. Um and like even like their reward and stuff there, anything's pretty generous as well, So like, you know, I'm that's kind of I think that's part of the reason why this has grabbed
me a little bit more. And also the fact that's on PC, Like like like the game sitting right there on my PC, I could just go ahead and just play it while I'm waiting for something or something like that, you know. So yeah, um so I've been very much in on that. Uh. Dj Max dropped a new DLC pack with some new tracks. They did, they absolutely did. They keep adding on to that twenty year
old rhythm game. They can they keep adding on to it. Um As a it's a pretty cool pack though, Like it had some pretty pretty cool songs. There's one song um called Addiction where like the music video, it looks like the like the character that's in the background of it looks like a could literally pass as a character, but it's like a dog on rop up
character because it's like that exact same design or yeah. So like um so it's um you know, so I got back into that and it's been a while since I've by DJMax like as far as rhythm games going or anything, but I saw that there was a new pack and I'm like, oh, okay, that's resolutely design. Oh yeah, you just pulled up it's all. Yeah. So so I've been playing that and then one other game.
I'm trying to go back to some games that I haven't finished yet that I'm trying to get back into to like try to you know, complete a little bit more. Um. And the game I kind of revisited today that I haven't played forever was Ender Lilies. Okay, Um, that's a game I would like to go back and finish that that That game is gorgeous. It is you know, we're talking about the artwork and stuff like that earlier and
everything, and that game is just absolutely it's it's beautiful. I like the soundtrack as well, with like you know, like the soft melodies and everything and everything like that game to me is definitely a definition of pure art, like with the way it is um and like, yes, it has a lot of your you know, has the Metroid Vania stuff that you expect and everything. Like I just got a new ability where I'm able to air dash
now um around the map and stuff. So like I'm trying to go back to certain spots and trying to revisit areas that now I have the air dash that I could try to like go to other spots I wasn't able to before, like dancing more into into the into the the actual main story. Um End of Lilies. Oh yeah, I had the Menia checked that game out. Yeah, I'm surprising you haven't yet. Yeah, it's pretty true core. Yeah, I have so many games, but no, you decided to
just dump your ass into freaking Trinity Trigger or whatever the hell is. I know, right, had emission because I'm bad games Like fuck the Beautiful Game. I I gotta go down the frabbit hole. I spent forty dollars on it. Could have spent twenty five on it. I spent twenty. I think it's on what it was on cell. But like, oh yeah,
the team Seller's hoever. Yeah, but um, so, like, yeah, there's certain games I'm trying to go back and like trying to finish and like that was a cool game to kind of like revisit and uh and um you know kind of like play around with and everything and trying to remember everything that was part of it, and it's just like, you know, this game's cool. I kind of want to play this more again because of the fact that like it's it's very much enjoyable experience, and like the boss fights
are are kind of fun. Like the boss fights are really fun too, like they have all the multiple phases and stuff. Um, but it's just
like, yeah, this is something charming about those fights. And then you like they of course, you know, you get to see their backstories and everything and see like how tragic everything in it is and like that's how they ended up the way they did and stuff, and it's just like, uh yeah, like the latest one I just did, um where where I was able to get the air dash afterwards if I got everything, like man,
her her story was pretty tragic. Um. But not gonna spoil it in case you know people haven't played it, but yes, there's a lot of tragedy and you know your main character being like the final last like priestess to try to purify everything and like learning more about her and stuff like that, it's just like, dang, this everything's cursed. Everything's it's literally what that is. So like as you traveling through this world that has like the rate
of death going on around you. But but it's so but it's so artistically well done though. It's beautiful, right, Yeah, it's it's a tragedy. It's it's a beautiful tragedy. It's a beautiful tragedy. Yep, exactly what it is. Uh man, that might be the podcast title. Um
beautiful tragedy. Yeah, um. But yeah, I definitely, like, I definitely really enjoy playing this game, and like I said, I'm probably gonna go back and play it more because of the fact, like I do want to try to finish it. And now, like it's always weird because like I'll play a Metroid Venia for a little bit and then I'll get stuck. I'll beat my head against a wall and be like I don't know what
to do. I don't know where to go. I'm gonna take a break from this game, and then I'll come back to the game like three months later, and then like I'll see something new and be like why did I not see this before? And then and then progress through more stuff and everything. I don't know if that's just the nature of the way some of these Metroid Venias are or it's just me being an idiot. You know, so I'm calling me, calling me. You know what I'm saying, why not
both? Yeah, it could rigged in my case, it could very well be both. Um. So yeah, like I said, just kind of like going back and trying to revisit, uh some games and anything. Um, there was a game I was going to start playing, but I don't know if I'm allowed to start playing it yet because I you, guys, I could your chronicles for oh I had. I had a little bit of an inkling to start that game up today. But I'm like, hmmm, Rob and Drew, we're just talking about this. Wow, this would be
a funny joke. Um, maybe I should wait a minute there. That game. Every day I'm gonna pull the trigger like soon, like it is imminent. It keeps going up on my personal like to play a list and yeah, every day I'm staying, I like, do I start it now? Well, It's like it's just like I enjoy got I got the title screen one day, I was like, oh, I'm almost there, and
then I tuck it off the steam deck and I like another day. But it's so weird because like I enjoyed Vactia Chronicles so much, like I realized. Yeah that game, shout said Lysia. She's still best girl. Um, but like, man, like, I'm like, I want to play it, but I don't know yet. Like I feel like I feel like I have to dedicate a day to be like, all right, I'm gonna give you the attention that you deserve. Yeah yeah, like you just want to give it a good block of time. Yeah, yeah exactly. So
maybe that's what it is. So that's kind of where I'm at with it. I'm I'll be honest, I'll probably start it soon and you guys are gonna hate me for it. But no, let's listen. Maybe started, Yeah, someone has to start, and then I'm gonna be like, well fuck now I have to play it, all right, gotcha? So whoever pulls the trigger first, it's just gonna snowball for everybody else you can play. Just don't spoil it for me or I will kill you. You will kill us. I don't. I don't want to be murdered, so you
know, I might want to. I like my life. Here's up. Some doubts true, you're not wrong, but anyway, yeah, boy, that took an end of Lily's turn. Um beautiful tragedy, beautiful tragedy. Outside of games. That's pretty much it stopping kind of you know, on the art grind and everything. I did, uh finish a commission um, and then did a fan art of Sailor Mars finally Yeah, that you can
check out. Um. I had pretty I had a pretty fun little take on the censored version of the Mars one, like, yeah, she was in a hot spring, so let's put some steam around everything. There you go. Yeah, that was I thought that was pretty creative on my part. Pat myself on a back. Um. But there's two other commissions I'm gonna be starting up this week, and I kind of, I guess, kind of a little bit of an announcement. There is a event that's going
to be happening down in Gainesville on September thirtieth called Kirby Khan. It's put on by a group called the Black Market, which is based in South Florida, but they're going to Gainesville and then Atlanta for this thing. Gainesville is gonna be the first stop, and I got approved to set up a artist table down there, so I will be back selling arts and prints and this time, since it isn't eighteen and no event. That means I can sell
the ludes, so the big ludes. So there may be some ludes available for purchase via sticker and print, So purchase your ludes so I will have more information obviously on that when I draws closer than everything. But yeah, I got the email this morning from them basically saying, hey, good stuff, You're approved. Oh yeah, so good ship. There we go. I just gotta plan everything together. I hope I can get the day off
from work, which I should be able to. It's not a blackout date or anything like that, and there's nothing really going on, so um, but you know, it is also a night event as well, because it's like a big concert and everything, Like there's gonna be two stages of concerts and stuffing like that going on. Yeah. Yeah, it's a pretty big like show that's going on. Yeah, So it's it's definitely gonna be like
the biggest thing that I've ever gone to by far with it. So but um, I think with like my style of art and the way I've been doing things, I think it will be a perfect fit for things. So definitely going to be looking forward to that. But just stay tuned for more information on that and everything. And also I've started doing something new with my Patreon stuff, which I apologize is kind of becoming a promo thing here, but but uh, and Patreon members are getting free stickers and I will be
sending out a batch of stickers to people on Monday. And yeah, so become a member on my Patreon. You become a member on my Patreon, you'll get sticker drops, you'll get discounts on my store. And also if you want a commission done, you'll get a discount on commission and you'll received the top priority. That means you move up the line because you're a Patreon member. So yeah, so I like, I like, I like the Patreon offers. Yeah, these are good offers. So that means you'll sign
up? Right, Yeah it is there a Hawkoopie's coming up. Sometimes I'm just saying, I'm just saying that could be. They could be. Yeah, listen, we might be in a chicken in the egg scenario. You know what I'm saying, which the hawk come first, come first exactly? Yeah, Yeah, all right, well we're gonna we're gonna figure that out exactly. We'll discuss that. We'll discuss this off air. So um, hell yeah, but yeah, that that that event that that you're going to.
Is that a Saturday Saturday night? Yeah, Saturday night starts at six pm and goes till two am. So are you are you just gonna day trip? Probably on a day trip down there. Um, I we still need that. I still need to discuss side because I think Lee's gonna come down with me. I'm gonna say, I'll hop with you guys if you want a third Oh okay, yeah yeah that actually that actually sounds like a good plan. That be fun. Yeah, I haven't had thing out with
y'all. Yeah, I think it would be a good idea. So sure, all right, another thing we'll work off air. Yeah, exactly. So but that's uh, that's been it for me pretty much. So uh it's been uh yeah, all on all good times. Cool. I love that, love that everybody's doing cool stuff. Man. I'm proud of y'all attempting too. You know you got some art stuff, truth and playing video games. Bro, this is I'm gonna I'm gonna tear up over here. On my end of things. I've I've played a video game or two.
Um, I did finish on a Fantasy sixteen World credits on that game. UM, I'll keep it very co wick. I'm planning to do a spoiler cast for it. Um. I'm gathering the crew for it, so that'll probably come within the next couple of weeks. Um. But I did very much enjoy my time with that game. UM, it's cool. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna go too too deep. UM, I'm not gonna bore the masses here. I'll get that out on a spoiler cast. UM. I have I started like a dragon eshan Oh. Yeah, so that was
it is. It was on sale on Humble Bundle. Um, and then I get the bundle discount so like it dropped it down to like twenty five dollars or something ridiculous, and I was like, I have to pick this up. So I picked it up a couple of days ago, and um, since I couldn't take a nap today, I decided to play the first hour and a half of it. Um. And you know what that's that's
a that's an RGG Studio game. You know what I'm saying. Like the it starts off wild and it does the thing where it's like, uh, it starts off it seems like it's a it's a future event, right, and then like you get caught up in like what's going on, and then like we're going back to the past and how they started, um, which is kind of typical for them. They do that a lot um and and
I'm in for it. It's so weird seeing like the Yakasa cast in in this like Edo period, like not as themselves, you know what I mean, Because it is h cosma ky to you. It's like model but it's it's realma um Sakamoto, I think his name is um. So it's just really funny it seeing like Mogima but it's not Mogima. It's somebody else. And I'm just like, mentally, I'm trying to like get the names right, but I keep thinking of their yakas the name instead. It's very weird.
Is it supposed to be like their ancestors or something like that? Probably? Yeah, I'm sure that. I'm sure that's in there somewhere. Um. I think that's what which would be funny like their ancestors. Yeah. I think I heard something similar to that too. UM. I wonder if there's something like explicit in here that like directly tie us that, UM. But all the trappings of a yah Becauza game is in here, right. Like I've already gone into like a few side stories, um, and it's
like yep, this this is this is the goofy goofy stuff here. Um. And then the main story is it's some serious good it'll period shit. Um, I'm I'm in it, man. I don't know if I'm going to like try to blitz through it in the way that I did like Lost Judgment too, right, where like I put a lot of my time into it, um, but it was going to be a game that I try to play at least a little bit in the background. I don't know how long it'll take me to beat it, but um, I'm enjoying what's here.
It is the beat them up style of game, right, um, which you know what you're gonna get out of those games, you know what I mean. It's just as JANKI and and silly as as the mainline games, except this time you know, you have a you have a sword, you have a gun. Um, you have your bare hands, and then you have sword plus gun as your stances. Um. And gun is just really fucking funny because it's just I feel like I don't know if you actually
do have a limited animal. I think you do, and you're just fucking blasting. You're just standing there just like nah, I don't want to engage. And just like rapid fire hit triangles, it's really they just fucking die, right because I'm like, you know what, maybe this is the way I want to play this game. I believe it. But it's funny. Um But like the gun plus sword style is very much like a breakdance kind of style, right, It's very loose and fluid and you're doing lots of
spins and shots, and it's it's the fun style. Um So I might I might switch between those two. Um but yeah, so far it's good. It hasn't took in me. I want to know where it goes. I'm you know, I'm a sucker for their storytelling. I think they tell some of the best stories in video games. Um. It's always really cool to just have like stories focused around grown adults rather than like the angsty teens
and all that jazz, you know what I mean. Um So, there's there's something just very like even though it's it's out there, there's also something very grounded about it that I can like appreciate, um, so I'll keep chucking along on that. UM. I think since Slash Recording, I started Entrepot Traveler too. UM. I am what is? What is? Steams say, probably like thirty hours into the game, twenty five to thirty showers. UM, I'm just about done with all of the chapter two's um.
Since with with Octopaths, you know, Drew talked about it a lot, but with octopath you know, every character has their own chapters that you can go through, and you go through them minute in any order. Really, UM, but I what I like to do is like do everybody's chapters ones, then do everybody's chapter two. You know that kind of deal, like try tod Yeah. Like I feel like that's like the proper flow of things. If I was to, like, for on the way Gate keeps you
level wise, ye, the game keep You Too. Is why I don't understand, like, and it's still always going to be my one complaint about Octopaths. I don't understand this open world format when a game clearly like still wants you to play in like a certain land it wants you to but you don't have to write like it's not very hard to like just keep leveling yourself up to like go do another story here or there. Um sure, and quickly do whatever it is you need to do to progress this main story that
you want to do. I'm sure up to a point. But um yeah, I feel like they could definitely do shovel You in like a better way. UM. But now the the you know, I echo a lot of true sentiments. Um. When when you talked about the game previously, it's it's really gorgeous. Um. I think the the initial trailer for that game
does not do it justice. It just for how far they take their engine, which was something that I was looking forward to, um because like the first time we saw the game, like obviously like I do love HG two, like do not get it twisted. I love this fucking art style. Um. But I also want to continually see like advancements, like I never
want them to get like complacent. Um. In and when I first did oh Chet story and you have like the chase sequence going on right, and I'm just like, oh, this is really fucking cool, Like this this looks fucking great. Um. And then like the way that some of the three D models and stuff, as far as the environment's look are really fucking good. And um, like the level of depth in this game goes a lot farther. UM, so I'm like, yeah, this looks great.
The boss pacer are really beautiful as well. So like it it It doesn't many they pushed themselves forward and I'm like, yo, this is this is a fucking fantastic direction. You guys are going keep it up. Um. You know it still has the battle system is still you know, the same um same chorus systems there, um, except everybody now has like a super move or whatever, um, which is neat um um. But yeah, it's it's it's pretty good. UM. I look forward to doing the eventual
spoiler cast for it. UM. I think right now, like if I was if I was to do like a top three RIB characters right now, um, it would probably be like, oh, Chet, Tem Tem and Osold. It's probably the current top three RIP characters. UM. I feel like i'll Chet should just be the main character. I just want to see i'll Chet interact with everybody. That's that's really what I'm here for. I think i'll Chet is like the perfect just main character and she's just here for
food. Yeah, I understand. So we wanted to be Ochet Traveler. I want this to be oh Chet Traveler honestly, truthfully, Like, if I could just have a chapter where it's every character plus oh Chet, I would be satisfied. Um, because her interactions with people are very fun. Um. I did like a couple of the dual chapters, right, So that is something that is pretty new to this game, where they're they're attempting to have the party members interact with each other more, which is something that
I appreciated, something that was like in the first game. Um, I want them to do more of it. I want more of that, right, and I want to see more character pairings. I don't know if everybody gets to pair with everyone else. I think that seems probably asking for too much, but I do want to see more interactions with more party members, and as long as the game keeps giving me more of that, I'm cool.
FYI for what it's worth. And this is something that I will shout out to the game that they do this because in the first game, the skits were missible. Yeah, after you finish the characters chapter, if you go into the journal, um, you can watch skits for that you might have missed, And that's something the game doesn't tell you, so I felt I should mention it just in case. Uh. And I do believe you share a sentiment that I had where I wish those skits were voiced. I
do, I really, I really do. Um. There's it's just it just sounds better, right, Like, like I want to hear these characters voice these lines because like I love the way that they sound and in all their little like the little cadence with with how they speak and stuff like that, Like I just want to be more immersed in that. Um. And and those little skits are fun, right, So it'll be really cool to have those voice And I hope they hope they do that in the future in
any future games that they do. Um. Out of curiosity, how many chapter twos have you done? Uh? I am most of them, all the chapter twos, But have you done the chapter twos where like characters have multiple chapter twos? Oh as far as like multiple chapter twos, go, Um, I haven't finished the multiple ones, like I've done like one routes of them, right. But then like there's a level jump, right, so it's like okay, let me work my way around while I level up
kind of deal. There's definitely a couple of me here that I would like to talk to you about. Um, I mean I could do. You want me just boot it up real quick and tell you which ones I haven't done? Yes, all right, Well I don't want to. I want you to do. Oh my god, I want all right, so live right now. I am loading up Octopath Traveler too. Um. What else was I gonna say about this this game? Um? That game fucking ever
made. It's a great game. Um. I I don't know. I want to see more where the stories go, Like I want to get to like a mind blown state, you know what I mean? Um? And I don't know what I'm going to get to like that because every every story is well, I'm like kind of whatever about partitio. Um, but I mean he's a base level base level everybody is good. I think at base level, everybody is good. I'm going to to set that now, right. Um. But I don't really care for him all that much and his
story is kind of whatever to me. Um, Jay, you hate my son. I don't hate your son. I just said it's whatever. Um. So I'm not like super invested into storyline, but it's fine. Um, I need to do Oh chet terror root, which is one that I was heading towards. Um. Oh, Chet's other thirty seven glasses roots. Um, I need to do he Cary's level two part chapter two, which is I think that's the one I'm directly heading towards because I was going to do he caught in him and moved my way back east. Um. So
wait a minute, and at it? Are all the characters first initial that name all Optopath? Yes? Yeah that is okay, yep, gotcha. Okay, So what have you done? Like both of thrown As chapter twoos, both of Chassie chapter twos, because I am on thrown A chapter three, yes, Cassi Cassie chapter three. Yes, the chapter twos are the ones I listed. Ah, that's why. Yeah, I'm mostly through all of the chapter two mm hm. So that's where we at an Optopath.
Um, I'm gonna try to have that game beaten within the next couple of weeks, so by the time Drew gets back from EVA, I should have that game completed. Uh. And it was around the corner, isn't it? It is? It is one week? It absolutely is. Um, where's this? You're gone? Go? I'm saying, I'm saying, but Yeah, that that game's gonna land very high on on my Game of the Year list. Like it's it's optopath, it's more optopath, like it's playing
at the end of the day. It's you take a fucking fantastic video game and you make it more fantastic, and it's like, well, this is still a fantastic video game. Um. There was something else I was going to mention, uh, and I got so thrown off track floating up optopath. Oh what was it? Son of a bitch? H I'm saying, Oh, I guess that's it. If I can't remember it, I'll remember it next time we look at seem real quick? What has Robbed been playing sort by last plane? Oh, sir, I put an hour into a
taxic cilger repoint. Um. So I finally picked up the new Taxicoger remaster. Um, Hey, that game is great. UM. I don't know how I feel about the remastered look like, I kind of wish they gave me the option of using, um the non filter that's in place. Um, just like on a larger screen. It just there's something about it that just kind of like feels very muddy, Like the character sprites. UM. In a way that is it's fine, right, um, but I think
I would rather it less smooth, if that makes sense. Um. But the voice acting is is great. Um. Both both audio tracks, I've been flipping back and forth. I think I'm going to land on the English audio track for it. Um. But um, both audio tracks are are
fantastic. And it's it's the tactics that I'm kind of looking for in a way like I want this game where I could just build up in like all these cool jobs and it has like a story that's like very engaging, m very interesting from the jump, and I'm like I want this right now. I'm in the mood for this right now. Um in a way that like I want to play Final Fantasy Tactics, Like I'm down for this like very
serious story. Um. And I'm looking forward to playing more because I haven't played I played the first release of Tactics Sugger, I haven't played much of like the PSP version, right um or the the was it PSP or was it Vitas? Yeah, I played a little bit of that version, but I never play played it to completion. Um. So this, this game in a lot of ways feels very new to me. Considering how long ago I've played played it originally. Um so, I'm very excited to go through
more of that. Um So that that's basically what's on my plate as I worked through octopot Traveler too in tactics oger Um with a little bit of like a dragon in the background is kind of my current rotation. Um So yeah, uh anything else before we get out of here top of my head? All right, Oh, I guess, uh, I guess the question I had earlier was answered, Uh, nobody got into the tech and eight beta. Huh No, unfortunately not. I was looking for for the email and
I was like, dang, yeah, I was sad. Yeah. Yeah, it sounds like a sounds like the net coade for that game is kind of kind of iffy. I'm hearing sounds. No, No, Harada thinks it's wife, he's he's he's yeah, wild, very wild. They're gonna fix that game. Yeah. Yeah, they don't have it. They don't have a choice. They actually legitimately don't have a choice. No, they don't. Whatever release date they thought they had in mine is going to get
pushed back. Yes. Um so, yeah, that game looks fun though from all the clips that I've seen it's it's very aggressive, like I'm gonna get fucking lowed down. Um, but Lily looks very good and I'm always here for a very good version of Lily. I am just looking forward to because my girl June's back. Yeah. Like she's my like of female fighting game characters. She has always been my favorite. Like and the fact I only got the player in Tech and two and the Tag games makes me sad.
Yeah, she was she in the Bata. Yes she is. She was playing on the Beata and she looks like I've seen too many clips. She looks really really cool too, Like they they like gave her a mixed bag of like her original move set and unknowns move set, but that made it all like angelic looking, uh okay. So like she she has like a from the gameplay that I saw and everything, like literally she has moves that takes away life but makes it gray life so she can gain it back.
So she has so she has a character mechanic where she can use her life as a resource, which I've always thought was pretty cool, especially like when you look at other games like DNF Duel that use your life as a resource. Yeah, that that's a that's a very interesting mechanic and makes you think about reflex management in a very different way. And I'm for it. Oh yeah, so all right, but that's that's pretty much it. Let's wrap up, let's get out of here, let's begin to sign off.

We talked about Oshinoko. Um ha ha ha that it is. That story. It's very funny because it was actually going to be a filler episode because we went to record and Jenny was like m Ia, she was not responding to anything, and me and Ash are just like, uh,
what are we doing? So we just hit the live stream and we're just like, Okay, We're just gonna bullshit for an hour and see what happens. Uh. And then right as we was getting to wrap up, she hopped in there and like I guess, the filler episode became the cannon episode and we ended up talking about as scheduled. So, Um, we talked about a lot of things. I got a chance to go see the demon Slayer on stage, UM that they had a one night showing of UM.
