Welcome back to the 12 Days of Chaos. Day two. As if I could have created a self-fulfilling prophecy, all things that could have become chaotic in today's day have happened. So it is 4.37 Eastern Time as I am recording this podcast that I had intended to put out in the morning. And then the day just spiraled. And that's okay, because days will do this.

And instead of getting frazzled and giving up, which is becoming the theme of what my 12 days of chaos is, I'm going to push through because imperfect action is still progress in the right direction. And so I'm going to embrace that and roll with it. If you are not sure what I'm talking about as far as 12 days of chaos is concerned, pop back to yesterday. I just determined on the fly to create a just a fun little activity for us to do as a companionship to my 12 days of Christmas ADHD guide.

The 12 days of Christmas ADHD guide will get you ready for Christmas. The 12 days of chaos will help you keep your house in some semblance of order while everything else is chaotic around you. They are lovely companions. Do one, do the other, do neither, do both. It's all, it's a pick your own adventure world right here.

Joy living podcast world right now. So with today being day two, yesterday, well, with today being day two, and we're modeling this off of the song, then today would be two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree. For us, it is two fluffy pillows and a, oh my gosh, what was yesterday, and a so that peeking at your schedule. That one doesn't roll off the tongue. Sorry for about that, but we're going to have some fun with it even as it goes along.

So what I'm wanting you to do today, the two fluffy pillows is about making your bed. I haven't done this yet because I will post this podcast and I'm going to jump live into both of my groups and we're going to do this together. So if you have not made your bed yet today, jump in there with me and let's go do this. If you have already made it today, go make a kid's bed and surprise them. Just go fluff the pillows on your couch. Something that makes you feel like you did a little bit of action.

And then go peek at your schedule one more time. Make sure there's nothing you've forgotten. Or in my case, something happened that I had not accounted for. And I'm going to go write it in as if I had planned it because I'm going to give myself credit for what happened today. I had to drive my daughter twice for follow-up visits to wisdom teeth extractions that is more than a half hour there and back.

So two hours round trip today because she was having an issue post-surgery that they couldn't figure out what was wrong, decided nothing was wrong. We get all the way home, about an hour goes by, and she discovers the actual problem, which is problem, and it's going to involve them cutting again. But that's okay. That's for another day. So anyway, I'm giving myself credit for that. I'm going to go back to my calendar.

I'm going to put down both appointments. So when I look back in life and go, why did I get nothing done today? Part of our ADHD brain's problems are... Is that we never remember all the things that we did. So we don't see ourselves as doing anything and yet we're exhausted at the end of the day because we don't realize there was a whole lot that happened. So sometimes you go back to your calendar so that you can give yourself credit for all of the things that you've done.

And that's why I love tackled lists more than to-do lists and why I love pending lists that can pen decisions before they get crossed off. So anyway, I feel like today is a very rambly day. Y'all will forgive me and we'll go make that bed. Do it now. Even if you're listening to this at 8 p.m., make it before you crawl into it. It's still gonna feel better. Go check your calendar. Ask yourself so that, in this case, it may be so that you can keep your head on straight. That's okay.

There's a reason for all of the things. And then if you don't know what I mean about my group and you want to see what it's like to do some live things with me, my one saving grace today is in my membership group, we do work with me Wednesdays. And so four different times in a Wednesday because I've got folks all across from East Coast to West Coast all the way to Australia. And I try to give different times so they can all join me. And I have done two of those so far today.

And thanks to those Work With Me Wednesdays because I work alongside you working. My kitchen is in order, my main spaces are in order and I was decorating my tree with the last group and that was so great. So don't hesitate to think about joining the membership group. I am actually going to open it till the end of the year and you get there by going to joellivinghome.com slash membership. It's $10 a month. You join anytime, you cancel anytime, you give it a go, and there's...

Themes every month. And we do these work with me Wednesdays where you feel like you have this body doubling effect of some folks just working on things with you. It's so wonderful. I braggingly will say I have attracted some of the loveliest, loveliest people who have joined that group with us. I consider them all friends now. I think they're fabulous. And I'm so excited that they're joining me on these experimental journeys we do every month.

So give yourself a gift of considering that membership before the new year and just enjoy being in an accountability crew of really like-minded, lovely people. So consider that. If you're not ready to do that kind of commitment, that's okay. I also have a free podcast community and you get there by going to bit.ly slash joylovinghomecommunity. I'll put links to both in the show notes.

Consider those as gifts to you as a gift to me I am going to ask across these 12 days of chaos for you to consider giving me the gift of a review they mean so much actually to this to the success of the podcast while costing you nothing and I would just love it if this podcast has moved you in any way you felt like just connected to it or have learned one valuable lesson and you don't mind dropping a review into wherever you listen to your podcasts, that would mean the world to me.

So thank you in advance. And until next time, continue to choose joy.
