Welcome or welcome back to day eight of our series called the 12 days of chaos. And if somehow you have landed in episode eight here of this series, jump back to one and pick up where we started with it. But it is just simply a little fun way to have a play on the 12 days of Christmas song that will help keeping keep us going to sort of keep our house tidied up during the holidays. So that it isn't an added overwhelming moment in the midst of all the other things we have to do.

And today is December 12th. If you're listening to this on time, my goal had been to start this series on December 1st and ended on December 12th, and I still have four days to go. And in the midst of doing this series, I have fallen behind with my Christmas stuff as well.

So yeah it's like tis the season to just sort of feel like there's perpetually more and more to do and and choices to make as far as I gotta get this done and maybe I have to leave this behind this year I just want you to take a beat don't overstress yourself somehow if you look back at Christmas's past. Things always, it works out okay. And nobody is remembering back to, you know, some horrible mistake.

Usually it seems like a big deal in the time and then it's forgotten or it becomes a funny memory in the distance that is just, you know, something you share. It's the mistakes tend to make the memories. Yeah, so I'm just saying don't take any of it too seriously. You've got this. Yeah. Yeah, you've got this. So I just don't want you to stress about it. So let's talk about what today is. And you're gonna love this. I actually, I played around with chat GPT. I'm just very new in that realm.

And I thought it would be fun to see if I could get it to sing my 12 Days of Christmas song with my lyrics. And it acted like it was going to. And it helped me tweaked the lyrics so that it had more of a rhythm that sort of matched the song. And I totally have saved this. So when I do my printable next year, I'll revise it. So it feels a lot more like the song because I just sort of did it on the fly and didn't put as much time into it as I could have.

So anyway, I have it down now where it actually sort of lyrically matches the song a little better, but it won't sing it for me. And I don't know if it's because I was using the free version. I am not about to put you all through me singing it, but I will try and print it on our 12th day as like in the show notes. And if you want to just sing it to yourself, I think it'll actually sound the way it should. But anyway, I digress.

Jumping into what day eight is, and if you are looking at your printable, it says eight washed dishes. Washing dishes appears again on day 10, so I will change it when I get to day 10, but we're going to stick with eight being washed dishes. When I plugged this in and played around with chat GPT, now sounds like this. So eight washing dishes, seven dusting. Oh, wait, eight. Wait, let me rephrase that.

Live podcasting, guys. Eight dishes of washing, seven things of dusting, six floors of sweeping, five minute tidy, four clearing surfaces, three scrubbing bathrooms, two fluffy pillows, and a so that to set priorities. So I hope that you can have fun with that. The sort of end-all thing that I want you to get out of this is just set a five-minute timer, have some fun with this, just try each of these things for five minutes.

And even today, while we're doing just five minutes in each space, the total is 10, 20, 35 minutes. With 35 minutes, we can have touched a lot of important places in our house to kind of keep things up and rolling. And that's all we need, you know, just to feel a little bit better so that when we then focus on Christmas, it's not like we've let everything slide. And that's the whole goal of this.

I have been going live in our podcast community. That's also where you can get the printable to download. If you're wanting to get there, I put the link in the show notes each day. It is bit.ly slash joylovinghomecommunity. And just as a reminder, the membership is also open right now. That is a $10 a month membership. We do new themes every month. We have Work With Me Wednesdays where we do Zoom calls, where we work collectively to get ourselves up and moving and going.

And it is just an encouraging space to have some accountability. So if that sounds good to you, you can check it out on my membership part of my website. All right, I will stop there. Until next time, continue to choose joy.
