You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam sesh as we journal through life together as a community. My name is Alex Gallner and I'll be your host so here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt in a groove and you just start writing. After a few minutes you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this and we'll move on to the next prompt.
After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt, and we'll just keep going on like that till we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like, or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate, or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this. So, welcome to the party. What's up, party people?
It's Alex Gellner here, your guide on this amazing journey of self discovery and personal growth. You know, I was just thinking about one of my favorite things about journaling. When we journal regularly, we are left with a powerful record of what we've set out to do and then, of course, what has actually happened. Now, I don't think that that's Anyone takes down 100 percent of their goals, but over time, we should have some pretty strong evidence of our own self efficacy.
At the very least, we can check in with ourselves and become aware of anything that's going on under the surface, so I think journals can be really helpful when it comes to believing in yourself. We've all faced moments of doubt. Times when we felt like we weren't good enough or strong enough, but today, we're going to change that narrative. Today, we're going to be embracing our inner strength and igniting that self belief. So, I hope you're excited because this is going to be awesome sauce.
Today, we're going to be jamming through five journal prompts to help you to believe in yourself. Open up that journal and let's get this party started. Here comes prompt number one. Write about a time when you felt proud of yourself. What did you achieve? How did it make you feel? Prompt number two. Think about a challenge you're currently facing. Write down the negative thoughts that come up around this challenge. Now, challenge each of those thoughts with a positive affirmation.
For example, if you're thinking, I can't do this, counter it with something like, I am capable and strong enough to overcome this. Give it a shot. It's going to make you feel awesome. Prompt number three. Describe a moment when someone else believed in you. What did they say or do that made you feel supported and capable? How did their belief in you impact your actions and self view? Prompt number four. List the qualities or skills that make you unique.
How have these qualities or skills helped you in the past? How can they help you in the future? Prompt number five. Visualize your future self who has already achieved your current goals. Describe this future version of yourself in detail. What have you accomplished? How do you feel? What advice does this future self have for you right now? I don't know why I'm doing this, but I'm going to do it anyway. Wow, party people, that was an incredible journaling session.
Remember, believing in yourself is a journey, and every step that you take brings you closer to the confident, capable person that you're meant to be. So keep those journals close, and revisit these prompts whenever you need a boost of self belief.
