What's up party people? You're listening to the Journal Party podcast, where every week we get together to jam out to some tasty grooves while we journal through guided journal prompts as a community. My name is Alex Gallner, and I will be your host. I've just returned from Vermont of all places where I got to visit some family, so just trying to get back into the groove over here.
I think I gotta do a little bit better with my eating habits while I'm traveling because my belly is swelly and I've been having some really weird dreams. Dreams are a funny thing. Sometimes they make perfect sense, and other times they are complete nonsense or seemingly so. But whether they're logical or not, dreams are always interesting. I think they're worth exploring. Otherwise, what a weird experience to have on the regular.
Sometimes it's hard to remember your dreams, although keeping a journal can probably help with that. What we're gonna be doing is a little bit different than a dream journal, since I highly doubt that you just woke up with a fresh dream to analyze. But still, I think we're gonna have some fun. Today we're gonna be exploring five journal prompts about dreams to help you to explore your own dream world. Here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt and a groove, and you just start writing.
After a few minutes, you'll hear a little bell sounds like this... and we'll move on to the next prompt. After a couple minutes, you'll hear the bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt and we'll just keep going like that until we're finished. It's pretty simple. It's pretty fun. So let's get it done. Here comes prompt number one. What is the latest or most recent dream that you can remember? What is the latest dream that you can remember? Here comes prompt number two.
Do you have any recurring dreams? And if so, what do they entail? Do you have any recurring dreams? And if so, what do they entail? Moving along to prompt number three. Are there any symbols or objects in your dreams that have meaning for you? Are there any symbols or objects in your dreams that have meaning for you? Getting through it. Here comes prompt number four. Have you ever had a dream that came true? And if so, what happened?
Have you ever had a dream that came true, and if so, what happened? Alrighty. Here comes our last prompt of the day. What do you think dreams are for? Do you think they serve a purpose or are they just random thoughts our brains come up with when we sleep? What do you think dreams are for? Alrighty folks. That's our prompts for the day. Dreams are such a fascinating topic and there's still so much that we don't understand about them, but that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy journaling about it.
I started cracking into Carl Jung's book, Man And His Symbols recently, and I just think it's so cool how our subconscious mind is always communicating with us through symbols and images and our dreams. So let me know if you've ever gone down the Jungian rabbit hole. I'm definitely considering doing a few episodes around his concepts and I would love to connect with you all on that. So go ahead, hit me up on Twitter and Instagram at @journalpartyomg.
I would love to hear your thoughts and please send in your request for different prompt themes. Please also join our online community at journalparty.com. There's been a lot going on behind the scenes there, and pretty soon I'm gonna have some really exciting news to share there. So definitely check that out. And that's it. That's our show folks. Thank you so much for journaling with us and please leave a review and spread the word so that we can make this an even bigger party next week.
And I hope y'all have a wonderful week this week. Party on.
