You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam session as we journal through life together as a community. My name's Alex Gallner, and I'll be your host. So, Here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt and a groove, and you just start writing. After a few minutes, you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this, and we'll move on to the next prompt.
After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt and we'll just keep going on like that until we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this, so welcome to the party journal party. What's up party people.
I've been busy traveling, which is super fun, but I've also been a bit challenged because I've broken my routines and it's already easy enough to get off track and find yourself in a distracted and unfocused state. We're often surrounded by noise and stimuli, which can make it harder to get into a focus head space, and when you just, when you throw yourself off course with your routines, ugh.
Fortunately, journaling can help you clear your mind and sharpen your focus, and that's why today we'll be journaling through five journal prompts to help you sharpen your focus. This first prompt helps you to identify the things that keep you from focusing on what's important. Once you know where you're getting derailed, it'll be easier for you to make a plan for avoiding those distractions in the future. So your first prompt of the day is, What are my three biggest distractions? All right.
Moving into prompt number two. You just told us your biggest distractions. So now how can we eliminate these distractions to remain focused? How can you eliminate these distractions to remain focused? All righty. We all have places where we feel calmer and more focused than anywhere else. It could be your favorite spot on the couch or a cozy cafe near your house, but taking the time to reflect on where it is can help ground and center you when life gets hectic.
So your next prompt is, where do I feel most at peace? Where do I feel most at peace? I should say you. Where do you feel most at peace? Nice one. Now, when we don't have a firm idea of what success looks like for us personally, it can be hard to stay motivated when our goals seem distant or out of reach. Writing down your own definition of success, we'll give you something concrete to refer back to when things get tough. So your next prompt of the day is, What is your definition of success?
What is your definition of success? All right, let's keep it moving. Breaking down larger tasks into smaller, more manageable steps helps to keep focus and clarity on the ultimate goal. Now, by breaking big goals down into smaller components, it becomes easier to identify necessary steps to take towards meeting that goal. Your next prompt of the day is how can you break down large tasks into smaller, more manageable steps? How can you break large tasks down into smaller, more manageable steps?
All right. Nice job JP Fam. Journaling has been proven. Time and time again is one of the best ways for busy people to reset their mindsets, unwind from stress and gain clarity about their goals and dreams. All things that lead directly to increased productivity and focus. Writing regularly can help you keep that focus sharp so that every day starts off strong.
If you're looking for more prompts to help you stay focused and productive, I recommend you take a look at some of the programs that we have in our app. It's a little different than these journal Jam sessions in that we use timers and prompt sequences, but you can set your own music and your own pace, and if you don't find what you need on there, just let me know. We'll be releasing new guided journals regularly, so. Just let me know what you like and we'll make what you need.
You can hit me up on Twitter and Instagram at journal party, omg. I would love to hear your thoughts and please send in your request for different prompt themes and that's our show. Folks, thank you so much for journaling with us. Please leave a review and spread the words so that we can make this an even bigger party next week. And I hope you have a wonderful week this week. Party on.
