You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam sesh as we journal through life together as a community. My name is Alex Gallner and I'll be your host so here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt in a groove and you just start writing. After a few minutes you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this and we'll move on to the next prompt.
After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt, and we'll just keep going on like that till we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like, or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate, or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this. So, welcome to the party. Journal Party. What's up, party people?
It's Halloween week, and if you're feeling the chill in the air, It's not just the autumn breeze, it might just be your fears creeping up to say hello. I'm Alex, and today we're tapping into something we all carry, but often keep in the shadows. Our fears. There's a part of all of us that wants to shove our fears down under the bed and pretend that they don't exist. But today, we're going to face them head on. That's right.
Today we're going to be jamming through five journal prompts to help us uncover, understand, and maybe even embrace our fears. So grab that journal. Find a cozy spot and maybe even light a candle if you're feeling the Halloween vibes, and let's get this party started. Here comes prompt number one. What is a fear that has been with you the longest and how has it shaped parts of your life? Prompt number two. When was the last time you felt true fear, and how did you respond to it?
Prompt number three. Is there a fear you feel ready to let go of? And if so, what would your life look like without it? Who or what has inspired you to be brave in the face of fear? Who or what has inspired you to be brave in the face of fear? What small step could you take this week to challenge one of your fears? Wow, party people! If you journaled with me through these prompts and you were brave while you were doing it, I just want to give you major props there.
Fear is no easy thing to face, but when we bring it into the light, we give ourselves the power to transform it. Now, As we wrap up, I hope you can carry these reflections into your week and maybe even notice a shift in how you feel about the things that once scared you.
