You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam sesh as we journal through life together as a community. My name is Alex Gallner and I'll be your host so here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt in a groove and you just start writing. After a few minutes you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this and we'll move on to the next prompt. After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again.
And we'll move on to the next prompt, and we'll just keep going on like that until we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like, or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate, or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this. So, welcome to the party. Journal Party. What's up, party people? Welcome to the hundredth episode of Journal Party.
I can hardly believe that we made it this far, and I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this journey. This milestone means the world to me, and today we're going behind the scenes to share how this podcast came to be, the highs and lows along the way, and what's coming next. So, where did this all start?
Well, a couple years ago, I was laid off from my job at a startup and after burning the candle at both ends in the corporate world, I knew I needed a change and I wanted to create something meaningful, something from the heart that could help people. And I was sitting there trying to figure out what that might be when a reminder on my phone went off to journal and boom, that was it. I knew that journaling was the answer. And so journal party was born.
The podcast has evolved a bit since then, but the core has always stayed the same. Five prompts, some groovy tunes, and a space to reflect, grow, and connect with yourself and our community that's growing. Along the way, I've experimented with some different themes and music styles. I did a country episode once, that was pretty cool. Weird, but the essence remains, creating a space for you to journal and jam out at the same time. And it hasn't always been easy.
One of the biggest challenges was when I was on the road. I actually went on the road for a, I guess a couple months with my fiance, Alex, last year and recording the podcast from different locations definitely tested my skills, but it was also a lot of fun and I hope that I can maybe do that again in the near future. I've learned to adapt and keep the show going no matter where I am, and that's been an adventure in and of itself.
Through all of this, the most rewarding part has been hearing from you, our amazing listeners. At first, it sometimes felt like I was just Shouting into the void, but over time I started hearing how much this show means to you all and how it's helping you to journal more consistently and how much you look forward to it every week. And that's really what inspires me to keep this thing going. And I'm incredibly grateful for this community that we've built together. All right, we are done.
Ready to get this celebration started, party people? I hope so. Today we're going to be jamming through five journal prompts that will help us to reflect on our milestones, honor our journeys, and envision what's next. So go ahead, open up that journal, let's dive in. Here comes prompt number one. Reflect on a moment in your life when something small turned into something significant. It could be an idea, a relationship, or a habit. How did it grow and how did it change you? Prompt number two.
Think about a time when you reached a personal milestone. How did you celebrate and what did that achievement mean to you? Prompt number three, write about something you've been working on recently. What progress have you made and how does it feel to see your efforts paying off? Prompt number four, what are you most proud of in your personal growth journey over the past year? What steps did you take to get there and how has it impacted you? for joining us.
Yeah. Okay. Last but not least, here comes prompt number five. Imagine your life a year from now. What do you hope to achieve, explore, or experience? How will you continue to grow and evolve? And there you have it, Party People! A hundred episodes of journaling, growth, and community. I want to give a huge shout out to my fiancée, Girl Alex, spelled with an I, who has been my rock through this entire journey.
Her support and encouragement have been crucial to making Journal Party what it is today, and as a matter of fact, it wouldn't be here today if it weren't for her. So, Love you, babe. Thank you so much. And I'm also excited to share that in the future, I'm thinking about adding a new segment to the podcast, some interviews with experts and personal growth, mental health and related fields. I think it's going to be a fantastic way to bring more insights into our community. So stay tuned for that.
