'how do i tell you'

how do i tell you that i never meant to cause your ache

i never meant to rob the moon from your sky

and yet now i'm starless

far removed from any good i possessed.

how do i tell you the only good thing

is for you to stay away from me;

i'm worthless if i can't make your eyes shine.

how do i tell you that my world has stopped turning without you;

there's a huge difference between living and alive.
