You're listening to KFI Amix on demand. Harry, Welcome to the Jesus Christ Show. All right, Jesus, good to talk to you this morning. Oh, the pleasure's buying, Harry. What's going on? Well. One of the reasons, in my mind, we don't get along. Humanity tends in our conversations to generalize about races, and we tend to demonize our opponents rather than talk to certain points, and in doing this we lose our grounding that keeps us stable in a sense. And I wanted to know what your
thoughts were along these lines. You're absolutely right, although this takes place across the planet, that it is primarily something that is done pretty heavily in the United States, and that is grouping people things ideas. Humans are very keen to demonize anything from food to the way you exercise, to your beliefs, all of those things, and they're unnecessary. John thirteen thirty four says a new commandment I give to you that you love one another just as I have
loved you. You also are to love one another over and over again. These are there. It also talks about that in Romans two eleven, for God shows no partiality, there's nothing separate. God sees things and the beauty in all things and desires that all things get along to find that peace in and that only rarely are there opportunities and things times of war, but that
things should be talked about. And many people shut those conversations down under the guise of you know, no, they're demonized that and it's unfortunate because then you break down the conversation, you break down the connection with one another, even if you have a differing opinion. And I think you're right, Harry, it just spins out into demonizing one thing or the other. And when you bifur kate and make something. This is part of the problem with the
US is having a two party system. The assumption is one is right and the other's wrong, because that's how people look at a pair of something, that one's got to be the right, one's got to be the wrong, rather than there is good and bad in all thought systems, and the deck should be shuffled. So I think you're absolutely right, Harry, that it's very easy for people just to demonize and not actually hear one another out connecting
with ideas and coming to the best conclusions. Just it's easier to demonize and say, don't listen to them, don't talk to them. And that's what the religious leaders of my day tried to do to me. There, you know, there's the drunkard. Look who he hangs out with. They tried to do that two thousand years ago as well. Right, I appreciate it, Thank you, Jesus. No, thank you for the call. I appreciate you taking the time, Harry. It's people get lost in these things,
and it's sad, it's unfortunate. They want to demonize and they're Nope, there's exactly zero benefit to that for anyone, and nothing, you know, nothing good comes from it at all at all. Mario. Welcome to the Jesus Christ Show. Martin Jesus. How are you? I am well, Mario. What can I do for you today? I had a question while growing up, you know, I was I come from a Catholic faith.
While growing up, as being the oldest, I was forced to, you know, go to church because I needed to send an example for my younger brothers. So since you know, it was something I really didn't want to do, I disconnected from the Catholic religion to this point. Now I've disconnected now that I've gotten older, what I want to learn, and this is my question to you, is how do I read the Bible. I have a Bible at home. I just don't know how to read it.
I don't know if I started like a book, or do I go to a specific page and go from there. Because I've heard many passages about the Bible, and it's interested me into getting to know the bibe, wing to know your word, but I just don't know how. It's an excellent question, and it's not easy. And as it's under one cover, it really is a series of sixty six plus books written over a span of fifteen hundred years on three continents, in three languages, from kings and peasants alike,
and a lot goes with that. Is it a history book? Yes, of sorts, it is historical. And is it a science book? Know? But there is science in it. And so there's all these little things that are throughout it, and they all point towards the Messiah and the hope. The hope that goes with that. So it seems like I'm going to open page one and go through it. I don't always recommend that because that's a lot to do and I think there needs to be a foundation of your
faith. So my vote is always to start with the Gospels, the three Synoptic Gospels, and then John and when you go through that, that gives you an idea about the importance of my life and the things that are taught there. And then you can go back and read Genesis to understand about the beginning. And as you get into Leviticus and the like, you start reading on some of it's a little dull because there's a lot of bigots and bigats
and all of this in there. So going through and going back and starting at the beginning is a good thing, but there'll probably be some things that you'll have questions about. You should keep that in mind. Another thing that I recommend even to adults is something called the Picture Bible, and it's written as a graphic novel, like a comic book, and sometimes that can be
helpful. It's not a study Bible. It's not going to give you all the in depth stuff that you're going to need when you get really deep into it, but it does give you a sketch of the entirety of it, and with the faces drawn, it kind of helps you place the people a little bit better and it will give you a little bit of stability once going back into scripture and studying. But a good study Bible is a great place
to start. The stuff that we'll talk about will have maps in there, maybe some of the language that you can refer back to that sheds light on the scripture you're reading if it's confusing or doesn't sound right to you. And that's what I would recommend. Start with the Gospels and move on from there. And if you have any questions, I'm here for you, brother, and I'm happy to answer any that I can. Paul, Welcome to the
Jesus Christ Show. Good morning, either How can I help you? My question is why are so many people reluctant to do something simple and logical to help with the homeless situation? Good question, but in what way? What do you mean by help? Well, to get them off the streets and give them a chance to get back into the main frame of society or what they don't want? What if they don't want that? What if they don't
want to get off the street. They like the freedom and if they get off the street, they'll have to stop drinking or using drugs, and they don't want that that's true. The point is though, that they are a negative portion or they're hurting other people by doing what they're doing, and sometimes you have to get them into a situation as a corrective method of changing their
lifestyle so that they fit back into the general population. Okay, So how do you do that in the United States without going against their civil rights? Well, start off with building compounds patterned after military basis. Okay, And you don't have to make permanent structures. You can use like the old counset
hut and do a bolt together structure. Okay. In this case, they would be provided with medical mental they would be fed, they would have a chance to learn a trade to you know, learn to work in a social concept again as a group. All great ideas. How do you do that without imposing on them if they don't want to go? Okay, first of all, offer it to them. Nobody has offered this. They put them up in hotel rooms, and what are they going to do? Sit around
in a chair all day? Now all they're going to do drugs or missions. There's missions and other services that they don't want to use. Apparently there's not enough. And I understand that they're reluctant, but at some point some of them are mentally ill and they need to be taken care of. And it's not a matter whether they want to be or not, no matter that it must be accomplished for the good of society and for their own good. Agreed, it is not healthy or good for them to be on the streets.
The problem in the United States is that many rules have been or laws have been watered down, and now the logical and common sense ideas that you just gave are not as easy to execute because you have groups that are defending their right to live horribly on the street, drug addled and with mental issues, and so it's not as easy as doing that because every time somebody takes a strong stance to say we need you up off the streets, you have
groups that are going out there and saying, no, you can't do that. It's their right of freedom in the United States, and so there is you'd think it would be simple, Paul, but it's not. And it's not because there aren't simple ways to deal with it's that it's been overcomplicated by giving the right to people to live horribly drug adult strung out and dying on the streets and any group of lawyers or politicians that allow that to happen are
part of the problem because it's not going to go by just simply. But yes, you should take care of women and children, you should take care of vets, and then you should take care of the mentally ill and take care of the drug addult but they're not they're not all the same problem. That's why housing is not the answer, because it doesn't matter whether this person has a home or not. They've got mental issues that need to be taken
care of with medication and care. Same with the drugs. But the picture of the down and out individual is there's very few. So yes, they need to be taken care of, but it has to be done by pushing past so called freedom to live in your own filth. And I'm not sure why that freedom is seen as good or that it looks like that's what the forefathers were talking about with freedom and liberty, but there are those that want
to make it more difficult. So the ideas are good, it's a matter of someone fighting for them and pushing past those that are looking at their civil liberties and saying they have the right to be disgusting and sick and farrell and die in the streets. It's going to take that first. Patricia, Welcome
to the Jesus Christ Show. Thank you Jesus for taking my call. Pare of the Catholic I'm of the Catholic faith, and I've read several times that today, July ninth, there's the day that Mary passes before us and we should say at Hill Mary to her. Can you give me your thoughts on that? Well, this show is not a denominational show of any specificity, and this is something you should talk to your local priest about. But there July ninth. There's actually many days that revolve around Mary in July. But
July ninth, our Lady of the Atonement is usually what is celebrated. Whether it's a feast or a special mass is dependent on you know where you live. But there are many throughout July for Mother Mary. July first, July, second, July third, our Lady of La Corol, and fourth our Lady of joy Um, just many of them. Our Lady of Iron is July sixth, so there are many of them. I'm curious as to what it means that she passes by you or has some sort of earthly connection.
Is that what you believe? Maybe, and I'm not sure. I was calling to kind of get your thoughts on the possibility of Mary passing before us. There Again, Catholics have a different focus on Mary than particularly you know, Protestant believers and the like, So it would be definitely something that I would talk to your priest about. I would be curious as to what the
purpose was for and what was to be gained by it. But the only thing that I know is that there are sometimes special masses on this day and some feasts that would be associated with Mary. So that's basically what it comes down to. For the sake of this show, let's see. Um, let's talk to Gilbert. Gilbert, welcome to the Jesus Christ Show. Yeah, welcome, Jesus pleasure. I've been trying to get to you for a couple of years. Well you're here, Wow, Gilbert, how can I
help I would you explain to me? Uh? You know, when when Jesus was trying to fulfill the prophecy, he was showing his to me, he was showing his human side when he was trying to when when he went to a cave and hid to avoid uh not fulfilling it, and he consciously knew that if he didn't fulfill it, then he wouldn't fill the role. Uh so are you are you talking about are you particularly talking Gilbert about the you know, if this cup can pass from me? What do you mean?
Or the temptation? Well? No, when he was being chased by the Pharisees or the authorities of the of of Israel, the Israelites, I think he went and hit the last He went and hid in a cave to a avoid being uh caught, because he knew he would be killed before his he was due before the prophecy. You know what I'm talking about? Um, mixing a couple of things up. But what's the gist? What's the
gist of your concern? Um? If if if God knew everything before, after and presently, Um, how how how is it that he was able to or even us we're able to get receive free will, but yet we don't have that uh freedom of choosing something that God wasn't aware of. And Jesus was I guess aware of what could happen. But at the same time, his freedom of will could have changed all of the prophecies, and yet he didn't but if it was somebody else, they could have changed what the
what would have been the future. So I'm just a little confused as the You know, my my interpretation of free will that it's it's something out of God's hands and and most and what I've got gathered from your your show is that free will is something that God has control of but kind of gives it, gives you the freedom whenever he wants. Well, it seems like no, there's a lot of confusion here for a couple of things. I mean,
there are stories about um the prophet Elijah takes shelter to cave. There is um versus specifically about being chased to do this is but you've got it twisted around. So I want to separate from that, okay, and let's look at the free will concept. Just because God four four knows your decisions doesn't take them away from you. They're still free. God knows that you're going to do it, but he doesn't mean that you're forced to do it.
So the old show the Newlywed Game, where the newlyweds would be one would be taken into the room, the other would be asked questions and the one that is in the room has to write what they think their spouse is going to say, and when they get it right, it doesn't mean that their spouse didn't have free will to write it. It just means that they knew them well enough to know what they were going to put on that page. Now you add to the dealing with God, you're dealing with a God
that is outside of time. Literally, as hard as it is to understand, it is one thought simultaneously everything that's ever happened, So there is no now or when, or then or learning. God doesn't learn these things. He knows them inherently by knowing everything about you instantaneously. So it's kind of a hard thing to put. It's God can't know. He can't be ignorant of every decision you'd ever make and when you'd make it, he can't. So, but knowing it doesn't mean he forced you to do it. Even
you know, people say this about Judas. Yes, somebody was going to somebody was going to absolutely betray me that night, but it didn't have to be Judas. They could have been someone else. Judas chose to do it with his free will and the others did not, And God knew that. But that didn't mean they was forced to do it. It just meant that God knew what was going to happen based on the free choice from Judas. And I know the questions are weighty, and they've been wonderful today. I
love that you're thinking so much about all of these options. They oftentimes seemed simple, and yet the difficulties are things made by the community. Think about how complex life is due to sin, for instance. More and more or you see on the news, you can hear about these groups just running into a store, grabbing what they want and running out, but really not in any hurry or worry. They just take and in doing that, you pay
the price because loss prevention goes up. Calculating loss into the cost of clothing or electric goods, whatever it might be, is now passed on to you. More and more companies and storefronts are just giving up. Forget it. We're not going to have these stores in certain locations. You have multiple poll multiple businesses in storefronts, leaving San Francisco, once a shining beacon of freedom of thought and interest, creativity and art, now decimated. It's synonymous with
filth and feces and urine and crime. And this is one of those things that I've told you to look out for when it comes to politics, because then people blame it on that and not on humans. Humans are the only constant in every problem. They say religion is at the root of most war, not even close, not even close. You go through history, it's ideology, it's money, it's land grabs its power. It's not religion like most people mistakenly think. But what is that The root of every single war
consistently is humanity. So right now the battle with humanity. Yet again, the crazy part is that twenty percent of the population through crime, controls and
effects the other eighty percent, price is going up. Think about everything you have, everything you pay for, and how the majority of it is based on someone trying to harm you, someone tried to abuse a system somewhere, someone not following the rules, and you pay for every single piece of that, from seat belts and and you know, the airpack to keep you from going into that is because people drive recklessly or don't want to obey things.
There, yes are some accidents that just happen, but your alarms, the locks, all these different things you have to do to protect yourself, and that you have to pay more for the vast majority of what you buy is to protect yourself from a small minority of people that want freebees or to live the way they want to live. And that's the same thing with your faith. You have to take it seriously. You have to work towards what you
believe and spreading that. And it starts with you because the damage that is done to the entirety of the church, to the faithful is done by individuals and it's all blamed on me. So if you go walking down a street punching people in the face and saying, hey, that's from Jesus Christ,
I'm the one that deals with that. You have to live what you believe as an ambassador of the church or it just becomes another another type of country or town or city where the small minority will create the most amount of crime. And I don't mean minority by minority persons like a skin color or a race. I mean a small amount of people ruin it for the large amount of people. And it works the same in faith. When you utter my
name, try to be above reproach so that it means something. And remember, even though there's a lot of chaos going on, in the world. Remember these simple words. I am with you always k IF. I am six on demand
