You're listening to Kfix on demand. Happy Father's Day to you to those who celebrate. I love that we get the opportunity oftentimes to talk about scripture in light of specificities like Father's Day. Of course, there's no Father's Day in scripture, but to look at the different positions and necessities that are in scripture and that have been placed in life and sometimes misunderstood as to purpose and standards and things like that, but important nonetheless when we kind of shine a light
on the different persons and positions that they may or may not have in someone's life. If you don't have a parent, or you didn't have a parent that really fit the bill, keep in mind that God fills that gap. And we talked about this a little bit earlier. Second Corinthian six eighteen says, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons
and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty. And keep that in mind if you're in a place where you don't have an understanding of what a good parent is, A good father, a good mother doesn't mean that you haven't seen examples and others, and that God ultimately is there with you when family is not and to keep that in a point of strength and understanding at all times. If you have a question, theology question or life situation question,
feel free to give me a call. Eight hundred and five two zero one five three four eight hundred five two zero one five three four Sahara, Welcome to the Jesus Christ Show. Allow do you discussed I was wondering God have agenda? Well, that's a wonderful question. God does not have a gender. God is genderized, if you will, in scripture because of language and so there are there are most of the formal terms or the names for God
are in the masculine. Strangely enough, not all of them. There is a term, many terms for God, one of which is el Shadai and el Shadai actually the root word of that is shad which means breasts or bosoms and nurturing and is actually a feminine It comes from a feminine root. But God has no gender. Now, when you talk about Christianity, you have another twist to that, and that is the concept of God becoming man or
taking on flesh and coming to the world via Jesus Christ. In that sense, yes, in the flesh, God had male flesh for the sake of sacrifice. However, God that is referred to as God the Father, has no sex. There's no need for sex. There's no need for gender. There's no need for genitalia. Same with angels. Angels may manifest as male or female, but they are not married or given in marriage. They have no genitalia male, female or otherwise. Does that answer your question? Yes,
thank you, you're very welcome. What's that rock? Unto you? Very bold? I love when parents listened to the show with their children. God bless you, and Happy Father's Day. And I will tell you some of my favorite questions that have been asked on the program have been by children. I remember young Sequoia, who is no longer you know, he's an
adult now. It's been a long time since Sequoia called in, but he used to be a fan favorite as well and would call in as throughout the years, and we got to watch him grow up, and he and his mother were a very important part of the program. And if they're listening now, just remember that. I think I think about you, folks all the time, you and your mother, Sequoia, and the opportunity of meeting and
all of those things have been wonderful. But young people, I love them calling just as long as the parents know that they're calling, and the parents have taught them the premise of the show so they don't get confused about reality and interactive radio theater which is what this is, those things, and that they approve the question, then it's always a fun thing. Gender is one
of those things that right now is a discomfort to some. And I say that because you have people coming into this world, and rightfully so, demanding to be able to be who they are and to be shuffled into the deck of humanity and not set apart as freaks or somehow being seen as less. Then, and I will tell you the church has not been traditionally kind to those that may not suit their interests. And I say the church, not scripture and not God. I separate those things. The Church should be a
manifestation of God. The Church should be, you know, a tool and a guiding point for God. But oftentimes, as it is with history and other things, traditionally it has been governed by men throughout the centuries, and there you can't help but have your fingerprints, human fingerprints on things as it's gone throughout. That doesn't mean that there aren't things that are taught in scripture, but you have to understand as to what is being taught and why it's
being taught. There are things that will say that a man should not dress as a woman, and people assume that that's that's speaking out against sexuality or gender specificity or a buyinary call outs to sexuality, and it's not. It's you dealt with that is dealing with. That's a spiritual rule for other For Pagans, it was to separate themselves from pagans and things that were being done religiously, and oftentimes these things can get confused. In addition to that,
you have the terms that are used in scripture. Is a limitation on language and not a limitation on God. So when certain words have to be used to describe God or any of these things, that really comes down to the inadequacy of human communication and language to capture every bit of the details that surround God. So the term God the Father is a specific term that is used
for understanding of position and ideas that people can understand. But by no means does that mean that God is a man or or any of these things. God is outside of gender because it's not necessary to the existence of God. Gender and the biology that goes with it is necessary for procreation and for certain types of structure, and that confusion is passed along, meaning the assumption is that God has that that standard is for everything in every circumstance, and it's
not the standards for procreation purposes. So as people are rethinking and studying with a different eye towards those things, you can see that scripture doesn't always land where traditionalists have brought it. Now, this show is not willy nilly with scripture at all, and never ever think that. I know people like to put the show in certain categories that makes them comfortable. And a lot of times it's political, like people will say it's a conservative show or it's a
liberal show. It's neither of those, nor is God. God doesn't care about Republicans or Democrats. Sorry to tell you that. So this show is focused on the truth and what scripture breathes, not even what's been taught throughout the centuries. It still has to be rooted in scripture, in scripture alone, John, Welcome to Jesus Christ Show. Good morning Jesus, Thank you for having me on. Thank you fantastic. Oh okay. My question is I've been a Christian now for forty one years. I love I love you
Lord. I've loved being a Christian. But there's one thing that's always bothered me, and I just can't seem to get any resolution on it. Is I'm gay. I've been married to a man now for twenty years. Um, and I'm being teased, so to speak or whatever by all my friends because I do claim to be a Christian and they know I am. But there a thing to me is is you know, how can you be a Christian to a God that is just going to damn you the hell that God
doesn't love you? And which I don't feel that way, but I haven't. No, I don't. But I just don't have anything to bring back to them. I've searched the scriptures and and everything that I've I've read basically, UM agrees with what they're saying. I can't find anything that, excuse me that you know, explains that someone's gay. You know, it isn't. It isn't a choice that someone's gay. I've trust me, I would never have chose this life. Um. Isn't that an interesting point too?
And a lot of people do understand that when they say, you know, it's a choice, as if someone's going, yeah, I wanted to be picked on in school, misunderstood called names, um, as if somebody would choose that exactly exactly. I was a my my occupation. I was a police officer who I am now retired. And during that entire time, you know, I had you have to play the game so to speak, that I'm you know, not gay. Um, you know, it's just it
was just miserable. I never even came out until I was I was forty years old. UM, I'm sorry to hear it. It was it was terrible, and you know, it's just it's just something Now that um my husband, who you know, he was raised in the church, she you know, was a born again Christian. Well, now he's kind of stepped back and said, you know, why why are we even bothering with this?
You know his friends are teasing him as well. And John, I'm gonna stop you just for a second because we're up against the clock, but I want to talk to you more. Can you hang tight? Sure? Okay, and then we'll talk on the other side of this break. So we'll come back and talk more with John. We were chatting with John,
who was kind enough to stay on and hold tight over the break. John was telling us us that he's been married for some time to his husband, and as a gay man and a person of faith, struggling with I mean even coming out at forty or so, you were a police officer now retired, and you even by friends, you get jabbed like, why would you serve a god that hates you? Right exactly? It's just really hard to
answer. There's something like that because if you just look at the the word on its face value, I don't know if it's the translation issue or what it is. I would almost have to agree with them. But I'm sure and I hold my faith that I don't believe in a God that creates someone and creates them the way I am and just to just to damn them later on. You know. It's it's something that, in my opinion, is
out of your control. You know, it'd be like if if God damned all redheads, you know, you made me redhead basically, And that's that's how I think of this. It's it's not a choice, unlike what a lot of people think. And you know, my church they feel the same way that you know you can change and you know all the sort of stuff. No, I've I spent forty years trying to change and it doesn't work. You know, you are what you are and you just gotta you know,
use that, you know what you're given. So but yeah, I just need something or some way to be able to answer these people, some of which are a Christian that have fought Christians that have fallen away because of this issue. Sure, and like I said, I can't find anything anywhere, and I've searched everywhere for it. Okay, So let's pull us apart a little bit because we only have so much time, right, and it's other big question, wouldn't you agree it is that? Okay, So let's
look at a couple of things, some of which you already mentioned. John, doesn't make sense God to create and then to condemn you for that creation. So the only other options you have is it's a choice. It's a pollution. Somehow a pollution or pollutant got into the line and therefore or you
know, caused a malfunction biologically, it's just rebellion. You can go down the line, But more and more science has come to back up that this is legitimately part of the biology, and as that continues to go down that path it is it is a completely legitimate desire to go through scripture and take a look at it. So, seeing as this show is scripture based or or that is our focus, I will give a warning here that this show
is not wishywashy. This show genuinely focuses on mainstream Christianity, not a watered down version, but a version that looks towards the truth, not just the history, because history can be wrong, older teachers can be wrong, but that leaves scripture and the language they'rein to define the things that people need to
understand about God and their relationship with God. I agree with you that it would not make sense for somebody to be born with blue eyes or red hair, or whatever qualifier you want to put in there, and then condemned for that. I will also say that my producer, neio Is does not believe that the people, anybody on the spectrum of sexuality is going to hell based on being a part of that spectrum of sexuality, and I'll explain that in
a moment. So let's go to scripture first. Put aside what Christians refer to as the Old Testament, because there are some curiosities in there as to whether it's talking about homosexuality, whether it's talking about male prostitution and other things like that, and other qualifiers that muddy the language and the context and things like that. So let's move to really the Christians, the homosexual Christians biggest concern, and that's Romans one. You've read Romans one, I would imagine,
yes, okay. So Romans one is interesting because it talks about many things, including the difference between special revelation and general revelation, talking about the fact that it starts out talking about the fact that, yes, special revelation is scripture, and there I say in scripture that there's only one way to the Father, and that's through Jesus Christ. So the interesting thing about this scripture, Romans one says that's not necessarily true. It is true, but
not in the context that most people think it is. It says that there is something called general revelation, that someone can come out and see God in the glory of creation and know God. They may never hear the name Jesus or any of those things, but can see and meet God through God's creation. Just like meeting an artist through their work and then and then it took me a special revelation is somebody reading scripture. So it talks about that.
That is an interesting lead in, and then it talks about God giving, It talks about the corrupted people. It talks about people that specifically, the audience that it talks about is the Greek to barbarians. And then it gets
into some language that becomes problematic to those not into the binary standards. Let's use those hot button words there, so as you start breaking this down, you can see about somebody who's losing their faith, or somebody who is claiming to have a faith but not have a faith, and then it starts to
their heart, starts to darken. Professing to be wise, they become fools and exchange the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of the birds, four footed animals, and crolling creatures. This is specifically about a pagan belief system. You have to seat it in
that first, because that's the context. This is talking about pagans. Therefore, God gave them over in their lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them, for they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever a man. Its entire seating is about. This is a religious statement about the differences between Pagans and Christians. It doesn't say
for this reason, God gave you over to your degrading passions. God gave them over to their degrading passions for their women, exchange the natural function for that which is unnatural. Matter of fact, that's the only verse right there that can be applied to lesbians, because everything else is in a male context, which is also a strange sign because wouldn't they both be equally as problematic. Yes, so this is the only verse that would tie into women or
lesbians, but it's very specific in what it's saying. So continuing on God, for this reason, God gave them over to degrading passions for their women, exchanged the natural for their women, exchange the natural function for which is unnatural. And in the same way, also the men abandoned the natural function of the women and burned in their desire toward one another. Men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
Let's leave it at that, because it does go into unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife to seat, malice, gossips, slanderers. Anybody that has an issue using this verse to talk about homosexuality have to be equally equally upset about wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife to seek, malice, gossips, slanderers, arrogant, boastful, disobedient to parents. So everybody falls into that,
but you don't hear that. So when you start reading those things and you start seeing that the church does not focus on the other part of the list, but focus on homosexuality, you have to ask yourself. It's legitimate John to say, did man twist this into their own comfort or is this really talking about homosexuality, Because if homosexuality is birthed, if it's biological,
that's not what this is talking about. You can't give you can't give way to something that's unnatural if it's if that's who you are naturally right, right, So it's only if it's unnatural. So This is a belief of my producer Neil, and in order for people to hear it in its entirety, I'm going to ask you again to hold tight because I want to make sure this is explained so people aren't dismissive about it. So for the sake of that, it's imperative that I show the math of the program and my producer
Neil on this. Not wanting to put words into anyone's mouth or into anyone's faith, but there's something that's important to this, another part of scripture that is often misunderstood that I think might shed light. So hang tight, John, and I'll finish my thoughts on this when we return. We're wrapping things up. I want to get back to John a very heavy question about homosexuality. John is a Christian and is married to a man and wrestling what has
been wrestled with for a long time. I'm trying to break it down. Keep in mind this has sexual content, and also this show is focused on mainstream Christian theology, and this may make some people uncomfortable. But the importance, by way of my producer Neil, is to show math here and understanding of scripture and how you work through understanding scripture, not just stuff that has
been preached to you, but really getting to know scripture. So we went through Romans one and talking about that it's set up as pagans and barbarians. It's set up talking about theology, not biology, and that has to be
understood in the context in which it's being talked about there in Romans. So talking about people giving over to unnatural things, people come to the conclusion, maybe wrongfully, that that is a homosexual, But in context, it's really a heterosexual acting as a homosexual or doing homosexual acts, and there would be a difference. So John, you're still with us, Yes, thank you?
Okay, So let's sketch more of this out. In the story of Onen, in Genesis thirty eight eight through ten, God orders on to sleep with Onen's recently widowed sister in law. Onen has sex with her and pulls out and spills his seed on the ground. Familiar with the story at all, Yes, I am okay. So the Catholic Church and others for centuries said that that shows that masturbation is wrong because spilling your seed is wrong.
However, that is an incorrect interpretation or understanding of that verse. For a couple of reasons. It would imply that women could masturbate and men couldn't because women can't spill their seed. Secondly, this is not about that. It's that God commanded Onen to sleep with his recently widowed sister in law because of a lineage. There was importance to it. It was disobeying God that was punished for not spilling the seed. Spilling the seed when God said to produce
a child was the sin. So you see a misrepresentation of what the conclusion is. They're assuming that spilling the seed is what's wrong, and know what was wrong was disobeying God. Right, now you move towards positions. The Godhead is not about equality or inequality. Right, all of the Godhead, the Trinity are equal, but the positions are different, and that difference in position is imperative. So it is the belief and a working understanding that my
producer Neil has been working and really deep diving. It is a belief that the reason it is Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve, as the silly saying goes, is that that was necessary for the procreation and the design of the planet. Right, But just like everything else that's described in Genesis, when God creates he creates pollers day and night. Correct, that's right. But by creating day and night, does God not create dusk, dawn,
noon, midnight and all the variants between those two poles. Yes, When God says in scripture in Genesis that he creates the bird of the air and the fish of the sea, did God create turkeys that don't fly, penguins that don't fly? Are they not birds? Yeah, they're just different species. They're different spectrums. They're different parts of the spectrum between the polars designed by God. The conclusion hopefully showing as much math, and again this show
focuses on mainstream Christianity. Don't get political. This is something that has touched produced Sir Neil's heart for a long time and that he's continually looking into this in a greater understanding than just the church's presupposition based on the handling of humankind that can pollute messages. This is scripturally based. So imagine, if you will, John, that the polars were created by God purposely for creating humans, and that was a necessity. Once that necessity is fulfilled, or it
is a position for those people doing it. If someone was called to go forth and multiply, and they did not do that, and they decided just to focus on the sex part with each other, not perpetuating the call to populate the planet. That would be a breach of their position, just like owning breached the command of God. It wasn't about the spilling of the seed. It was about disobeying God the position that he gave onen. So in that case, a man and a woman disobeying creating and populating would be a
would be disobeying God's position for them in that context. Not saying that if two women were together, two men were together, or any spectrum there in between, the polls are wrong. Lastly, you'd have to ask yourself, because God does change positions. It was completely okay for incest at one point, right there was no way to populate the planet otherwise, right, not
until the vitical laws. Is that that gets an end put to it because it's no longer necessary and would call cause pollutants and problem ones, all these things to say that you can find that maybe what is being said in Romans is people that were meant to perpetuate life said no to that, and that was their position and cause, and that The assumption is that God made Adam and Eve without understanding, just like animal life, just like daytime and nighttime,
just like all the other things God created in Genesis. There's a spectrum within those polar pieces that have a place as well. And unfortunately, John, we're up against the clock and more importantly than all these things. I hope you study. I hope you learn. I hope you're empathetic and you remember these words. I am with you always KF. I demand
