Well, we're very very very short on time, so why don't you trade the first one first? But I'm glad that the show is making you think. I'm glad that the show is making you think. That's a good thing. It is. The first one was if is God, if Jesus, If Jesus is the Son of God and God Jesus office is to be God in flesh.

How is that? How's that possible? Well? One is the title that is used not only prophetically saying you know that the Son of God will come, but throughout throughout scripture you'll see that term used for me specifically as the unique Son of God, not just sons of God or daughters of God, which is every believer, but specifically talking about the Son of God.

Matthew twenty six sixty three. Yes, it is, as you say, I reply, as talking to the high priests that are asking me, they're charging me under oath by the Living God, say, are you the Christ, the Son of God, and I say, yes, it is as you say. But I say to all of you, in the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming into the clouds. Son of Man, son of God, interchangeable in this context. But it's talking about me having the nature of God and

being God. And that's why if you read are On in Matthew twenty six sixty five through sixty six, also John nineteen seven, that you will see that the law that it talks about there that I've broken as the law of blasphemy because I'm claiming to be God by using that term being the son of God. It's not the same type of son and daughter that you'd think about in the human ends. It's not that, oh, well, you know, God met Mary and Mary and God had a relationship and had a child.

That's not what it's about. It's about the unique nature of God is in me his son, and we are one and the same. That gets into the trinity. I realize, which complicates matters some more. But for the sake of time, to understand that that term being used is a term claiming that I am God, not just the son of God, but that I am one exactly with his nature. Stephen. have a theologic question. My wife suffers from multiple class and a farn of mine who is a very debout Christian as I you know, am as well. He told me perhaps it's, you know, something generational, and I didn't quite understand what he meant, and his wife elaborated a little more on it, and she she mentioned how she was sick one time, very sick. A couple of her elders prayed over her and realized that through their prayer

they said that they're her ancestors. Shimmed and that's because she's the reason why she's sick. And I don't believe that, because I believe, you know, this is what God ordained me for us to have. But you know, there is some scripture that goes along with it, I suppose, but I wanted to get your take on it so you can help me clarify this. No, this seems to be something that is reoccurring, Stephen. That is that that people often look for outside reasons. I mean, this is

nothing new. In John chapter nine, verse one, and you probably remember the story, and I'll read it to you. It says, and as he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth, and his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned this man or his parents that he should be born blind? Jesus answered, it was neither that this man's sin nor his parents, but it was in order that the works of God

might be displayed in him. So there's a lot of infirmity in scripture that Paul, for instance, with a thorn in the flesh that doesn't get taken away, that isn't pointing to a particular sin. Now you could you could argue that all sickness comes from sin, because that's not the way humans were designed. But and yes, it's generational in the sense that it's passed down. That's sickness. Genetic illnesses things like that come from the pollution of the

human body and cause things that weren't supposed to be there before. That's why they're mutations. But so in the big sense, yeah, all things come

from sin in that sense. But to say that it's some sort of family curse or something generational that's passed down through sin, no it's it's not fair to say that that's an excuse not to participate and your well being not to figure out, you know, how to get healthier, or if there is a lifelong illness or heaven forbid, a life threatening illness, that you can

understand the weight of it in its context rather than overly spiritualizing it. That doesn't mean that there aren't oppressions, spiritual oppressions and demonic oppressions, not possessions, but oppressions that weigh people down or things like that that can be prayed

over and removed. But really that that's a separate issue from day to day illnesses that people get, and sometimes people overly spiritualize them and they think that they're doing that to glorify God. A lot of times people do that to glorify themselves, to be a part of it and saying no, we don't have to bow to this, and I can get you through this, and that ends up twisting down a whole different other path. But really, you've got to trust God and see God's glory in the good and the bad.

I don't know why people assume that only the good things glorify God. Even illness points to the glory of God. Obviously I said so, and John that I just read to you. There's that context of saying, no, God is glorified in these things too. There's other scriptures that say that you should rejoice in your trials and tribulations because God is seen in those. So it's one of those things that I think sometimes Christians can get overly spiritualized on.

It's not that sin doesn't pass along through the butt bloodline. It's not that sin isn't something that becomes generational and has passed down because it is. I mean, there's just the way things you teach your children and all of these things. But in the sense of thinking of it more like a curse is to belittle the power of the Blood of Christ in the first place, and to say that, you know, everyone's going to go through these things.

It's all under the blood. And it's never about the flesh or being healthy in that sense, because I say specifically, I fear not he who can kill the flesh, but he who can kill the spirit. So it's always about the spiritual health of the individual. And I'm so sorry to hear about the illness to begin with. But God can be seen and can be glorified in all those things, and that should ye should never lose sight of that and know that God is present even in the sickness, and that it's

not always about curing everything, because not everyone gets cured. You're listening to k I AM six on demand. NOI welcome to the Jesus Christ Show. Hello Jesus Hi. I'm thirty five years old and I was raised Roman Catholic, my baptism, communion, confirmation, my mom actually my mom actually taught

Catechism for seventeen years. But I also consider myself homosexual. But I seem to have lost my way with the Roman Catholic Church, and I was just seeing if there was any possible way, I guess, to get back into the Roman Catholic Church even you know, based on I guess just what I just told you. Well, this program, we do our part not to speak for any particular church, but but to you know, no, no, no, don't be but to focus on the broader truth in scripture.

And I will tell you this. I want you back in the church now. If you choose that to be the Catholic Church or Protestant Church, that's up to you. But do I want to have a relationship with you. Absolutely, and unfortunately, the church, in many different forms, both Protestant and Catholicism, has been heinous to the gay community, and the way that they have reached out and or not reached out, or wait, they have

treated the gay community is abhorrent to God. And in that sense, it's it's absolutely important that you go and you listen, but you keep this in mind. I get these attitudes from people all over the place, and not just the gay community, but every community you can think of that wants to go into the church with their arms crossed saying, God, I want you to be the way I want you to be. And that's not fair either.

So as much as you are absolutely welcomed and I want you to be in the church, go in with that openness and that desire to hear what God has to say for you and to learn from that and to grow with that, and not go in there with a particular set or an agenda as to what you want out of God, but what God wants out of you.

But I think that's the biggest part of being in a church is sometimes you go in with that expectation of Okay, God, what are you going to do for me, and I don't want it to be that kind of relationship. It's it should be what do you have to teach me? What can I learn? And those things become incredibly important. And if you go in there with an attitude or kind of this is you know, this is what I want from you God, I think that that all is lost at

that point. I've had people call me on the program with questions and say, what does the Bible say about this? And you could just hear in the tone of their voice that they're not going to listen to it. So the natural question is, well, if if it says that you shouldn't do something, or it says that you should do something, would you adhere to it? And if you say no, then don't bother with it on any part of your life. But if you want to go and receive God,

if you want to go and strengthen your relationship with God. Absolutely, But on the note of homosexuality, on the note of the way that the church treat has treated the gay community, there are some asinine statements that are made on behalf of me and in my name that are absolutely absolutely from the pit of hell. And the way that the gay community has been treated and ostracized and treated differently and set apart and not welcomed. Not in all churches.

I know that there's wonderful churches. And it's not about being a super duper liberal church where you know, anything goes and there's no theology structure. Not about that. It's about the peace and love that comes from scripture that is real and that is honest, and that is receiving of people from from all

kinds of walks in all kinds of situations. And it's always disappointing when I get emails of how somebody was treated in the church for any reason, and that sheds poor light upon the love of God and the purpose of the death and la Cross and the resurrection and what all that speaks. I make eighty percent of them income from

playing poker, my goodness, Uh huh and uh. I just wanting to know of came in contact with a lot of good man in Christian people and they say it's evil and going to hell and oh wow. Actually I usually bring up you know, it's I mean, y'all play monopoly because that's the game of chance too, and they kind of well that's different, you know. I mean you want to you want to hear a mind blowing fact. The apostles cast lots to determine the replacement for Judas in scripture. So there's

there's the lottery is used in Uh. They cast lots in leviticiss to choose between a sacrificial goat and escapegoat. Joshua cast lots to determine, uh, you know, the size of land for various tribes. It does show its face in scripture, and there's nothing that says implicitly in scripture that it's wrong. Now, I will tell you, Leonard, that there are some things that would make it wrong. Now you said you're a poker player, right, I mean, if if I see somebody that's you know, I mean

honestly having problems, I try to go to a different table. You know, I'm trying not to take advantage, you know, But poker is a skill. It's not as much a game of chance as if you were sitting there playing the slots machine. Slot machine Okay, so there's a couple of differences. Poker is going to be one of the few times where where you can see that as a job. It's a game of skill. It takes

practice and insight and ability. So in that case it would be very, very different from other types of gambling if you're just trying to make a buck. If you're actually making a living at it, that shows that you're pretty good. If you're doing it in an honest way, then that's fine as well. That the concern comes in places like Proverbs thirteen eleven says dishonest money dwindles way, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.

Getting in that kind of get rich quick mentality is absolutely wrong. But if you are are going and you're you're an honest poker player. That's not to say that, you know, the part of the playing is bluffing and the like, but that's understood by all the other players. So yeah, it's not considered lying or fabricating it in a different sense because everybody goes into it

knowing that's part of the game. So but if you're honest in what you do, you're not cheating and you're not doing it just to stay out of work. You're doing it because this is your job, then you're fine. It's only when it becomes something that controls your life, or an addiction, or you're doing it to just try and skirt the system to you know, make a you know, quick buck or things like that. That's when gambling would become a problem. And that's when I would say that you need to

run from it. Robert, Welcome to the Jesus Christ Show. Hello, how are you? I am? Well? How can I help you? Robert? Um? I had a question, um, how does a marry couple get past adultery? And is there any scripture that can actually help us in moving forward in our lives? Well, of course there's scripture, but first I'd like to get a little bit more understanding. Or you're going through

this yourself right now? Yes, sir? And what happened. I committed adultery myself and it would eat me alive and I ended up telling my wife about it, and now we're in a situation that we're trying to get over. Okay, Aaron, was it a long period of time? Was it a one time thing? Was it was? It was more so a one time thing. More so. So you're saying it happened more than once. No, it happened once. Okay, Yeah, that would be exactly a

one time thing. So it happened exactly on time. Okay. So it happened one time, and you you brought up to your wife and you told her um about your discretion, your indiscretion rather and she she's responding and being hurt, right, very hurt, very hurting, O, very non trusting, sad. I mean she cried all the time. You know, it's it's rough. Is was this someone she knew as well? No, okay, with somebody at work or um it was it was somebody It was something

like that. Yeah, okay, Um, you weren't. Did you feel that you put yourself in in this situation knowingly and you just kind of went with you went with a rolled with it all and just said, okay, I'm just gonna give in. Yeah I did. I did. I gave into the temptation that that surrounds us every day. Well, there's forgiveness all throughout scripture. It's a running theme obviously, but there's two things that go with forgiveness. There's open forgiveness, and that's that's for your wife, that's

she's to forgive, to release it so that she doesn't have it. But that's not necessarily for you. Reconciliation is something different. Reconciliation comes with work and intent and focus and all these things. It's it's like God loves and forgives everyone, but only reconciles truly with those that receive him and repent turn away. So one you can't do it anymore. You can't do anything obviously

that even remotely appears to look like that. And you have to find out why this was so important to you, find out what about it was worth the possible loss of your wife and your family, and why that one time. You know what part of you yearns for that kind of attention that would make you do something counter to who you are. I mean, you're not a bad guy, are you? And you and you you don't want this in your life, yet you welcomed it. You brought it in your life,

right and you see what damage it? I mean you couldn't even live with it. Yeah, you told on yourself. It's not like you even got caught, right, um, exactly. The worst thing you can do is try and make things go back to normal. Quickly. Um it makes it will appear to your wife that you're just trying to cover it up and that it doesn't matter and that you don't care about her feelings. You need

to get to a third party. You need to have somebody, a pastor somebody that you guys can talk in front of and work through this um and and get through it to a place where, um, you can start building that trust. But it's going to take a lot of work, and there's going to be a lot of cants. There's a lot of things that you can't do anymore, and you shut that we're off. There's going to be things that you think are normal or or casual to go out and see friends

or do whatever, that you aren't going to get to do anymore. And you you better realize that and note that that's part of what you sacrificed. You sacrifice something on your wife's end, her trust and her love and all that she gave you, and now you're sacrificing much of your freedom to reinstill faith in your family and who in the character of who you are. There's there's much of scripture or just up, he gets a clock. When I come back, I'll give you some scripture that you can read, but there's

much a scripture that talks about forgiveness. You're listening to kf I am sixty on demand. I was talking with Robert about his infidelity and you could hear how obviously he's not happy with himself and his situation. People will make mistakes, and there are there's a great distance, a vast difference between those who are repeat offenders, who it's a it's a lifestyle. They go out and they commit adultery over and over again, versus somebody who puts themselves in a

very stupid situation and makes a mistake. So I want to give you a few things. He asked for scripture about forgiveness and things like that, and I want to give that. But I also want to give you a guideline. If you want to protect yourself, well, the best way to protect yourself is to build boundaries between that which you want to protect and the outside

world. Right, if you want to protect that part of your life, then both men and you two women have to understand that there are boundaries that you have to push beyond, even outside of the normal boundaries, to keep you from falling into that circumstance. The old saying that you get too close to the creek, you slip in. It's just a way creeks are built. The slides are the sides are slippery, and you get distracted by the

beauty of the whole thing and you're in the drink. Likewise, when it comes to your emotions and your sexuality and your intimacy levels, you have to keep yourself from being intimate. And that has nothing to do with clothes being off. You can't connect with people. Today's program has been about communing and connecting with people, and you can't do that with someone of the opposite sex in the same way at the same time. You can't You don't do that

anymore. Doesn't mean that you aren't human, and it doesn't mean that you don't connect on other levels. But you can't have those moments of intimacies. You don't share secrets with the opposite sex that you keep from your spouse, things like that, because then you build a bond with somebody else that can

grow into that intimacy level that can become a problem. And as the old saying goes, if you're if you're not supposed to go into Idaho don't go into the United States, and then you're guaranteed never to step foot in Idaho. The point being that if is set your boundaries so wide that you're not going to worry about the possibility of slipping in, and that's just don't put

yourself in those positions. As far as scriptures go, Robert, I want you to know that first John one nine is very clear if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all in righteousness. That's a process, and it's where the process you're in right now, and one that you need to allow to happen to you and your your wife will be doing the same healing from that. And finally, Matthew twenty one through twenty three is what I want you to read

about forgiving, forgiving yourself as well. Ernest, Welcome to Jesus Christ Show. Good morning, Hello sir. How can I help you? Yes, Sir, Jesus, I wander north. Why we keep Sunday as the Sabbath. I've been reading the Bible as of late and little articles in different magazines, and I can't find any work where it says to change the Sabbath to Sunday, some being the first day of the week. Yes, absolutely not that pity on that. Okay, Sunday is not the Sabbath. Christians do

not celebrate on the Sabbath. Christians tend to sell clebrate on what they referred to as the Lord's Day, which is to represent the resurrection, which took place on Sunday. Now you find this in the Book of Acts as well. Acts twenty verse seven talks about them gathering around to break bread on the first day of the week, and this shows that there the celebration takes place on a different day, and there's other Collausians two, verse sixteen and seventeen.

But the Lord's Day, the term Lord's Day only appears once in the New Testament, that's Revelation one, verse ten. But don't confuse the concept or the Lord's Day with what is the Sabbath, which is the seventh day of the week. That's Saturday. It's the day of rest, and that doesn't change. Sunday being the first day of the week, is the day that I rose from the dead, and that's the day that is celebrated by

most Christians. So New Testament Christians did not believe Saturday should be observed by worship and rest necessarily Romans fourteen five and six Galatians four, verse eight through eleven. But they had a lot of modern Christians and the early Christians regarded the Sabbath as part of the ceremonial law of Israel, and that not necessarily applicable to the Church as it stands today. So keep in mind there there's

not just ten commandments. There's over four hundred commandments in scripture. So this is one of those that that many Christians think that it's not about the day. If you remember, I was asked about the Sabbath, and I said the Sabbath was made for man, not man. For the Sabbath to show people that they had it kind of backwards. It was about taking the time to rest, taking the time to spend with God, focusing on God and the things of God, and that should be done regardless. I don't care

what day that's done on. But it's imperative that you rest. It's imperative. Scripture says, be still and know that I'm God. It's imperative that you have that downtime to sit before God and to relax and receive those are the things that are important. It's it's imperative that in a work, in a physical work sense, that you have time of rest as well, that you stop from your labor, that you literally put your tools down and take

that time to relax. Otherwise you're going to burn yourself out and you're not going to be of any value to anyone, including God, because when you get really, really super tired, you're susceptible to a lot of things physically, spiritually, emotionally, and you receive differently, and so it's important to take that time. I'm going to have that rest. But what happens is if you make it about the Sabbath, then that becomes about the law again

and then the laws who preceedes God, And it's not about that. The law was to train you about the things of God, to understand the purpose of structure and consistency and the things of God, not about trying to be perfect or obtaining Godhood in any way, shape or form. So in this particular case, when it comes to the Sabbath, the modern day Christians and

even New Testament Christians felt that it wasn't about the Sabbath anymore. It was about the purpose of the Sabbath, that is to take time to rest and to worship God and also to celebrate God. And that's done with most Christians on Sunday, the first day of the week. K i AM six on demand
