You're listening to kf I AM six on demand. Since the beginning of time. It's easy to throw up your arms and look at the world and say, what is going on with the world. It's auguring it's going to h e double hockey sticks in a basket. And that's not untrue, unfortunately,

But it's better to look at why so. Scripture has said many times to be in the you know, in the world, not of the world type thing, not being wrapped or cloaked in the world, meaning to always have your eyes set upon God, the promise of heaven, and to be here presently in the world to figure out the puzzles that will strengthen you as a believer. And by puzzles I mean life's trials, because life has them for Christians and non Christians alike. God has them for the faithful and the unfaithful

alike. And that is something that will be until the end of time. It's been said, this is not the perfect world. It is the best way possible to the perfect world, which is Heaven. But alas here you are in the world, seeing things go by on the daily, hearing them in the news, or seeing them on social media. The concentration of that is overwhelming, for sure. More and more are you consuming this news and all put it in quotes because the actuality of it is that it's just clips,

photos and videos of the world. There was a day when you sought out the news to understand what was going on in the community, to understand what your part was to correct it, or what to be on the lookout

for so that you could do your part as a community member. Look for the people that we're not living up to the standards of the community and the promises made therein people that are doing bad things to the community, people that are trying to live off the promise of the community without being a part of the community. And a lot of that comes down to entitlement. As a matter of fact, if you want to play a game with yourself, you can sit and look at every sin and yes, every crime, and it

comes down to entitlement. So a lot of what you see in the news is people holding cameras up while others are doing whatever they want, regardless of community standards, and every single one of those acts our entitlement. The world is sitting dressed in entitlement now instead of humility. Tis the focus of all things now is entitlement. And with entitlement being at the center of every sin and every crime, you go through the Ten Commandments, anytime you break one

of those is based on entitlement. Now you get to a point where the way to humility, the cure for entitlement, if not given, if not learned, if not understood, becomes humiliation. So the world either understands and cloaks themselves in humility, or God teaches the world, maybe you by way of humiliation, breaking down hubrists, breaking down the things that make you say I'm entitled to that I'm entitled to get to where I'm going more quickly than

someone else. So I will speed, or I will cut the off, or I will make dangerous moves on the roadways to do what I need to do because I have justified it in my heart. But if somebody else does it, then it becomes a possible road rage because two people are entitled, and with that entitlement and that lack of humility to see someone else on the road and think, you know what, I'm going to drive on the road with humility, giving grace to those that believe, Hey, if you're gonna

if you need to go somewhere that fast. It is not worth my life, it is not worth my time. Here you go, there's an open roadway for you if you need it. It doesn't make you small, and it doesn't make you weak, and it doesn't make you unseen, because often in anger, in entitlement, the core factor becomes you don't see me as

a human being. That's why the wave is so popular in driving, because the wave is a way of letting someone know, Hey, if I did that on accident, and I apologize and you give the wave, you're saying I see you. Most people just want to be seen. They want you to know that they exist and they're worthy as as much of the roadway or

anything else as you are. So really, this big package, this ball of pride and entitlement and the lack of humility, becomes entangled, and it's one of those things that nobody wants to step up and say, I will break myself, I will find myself that humility. And this has to start with those that believe the people of faith are the leaders and should be and

should lead by example. And trust me, I understand those that struggle with that finding that place in your heart to define the moments in life to be that example. My producer Neil and I have talked extensively about this because although his heart is in the right place most of the time, he struggles with that. It's hard not to get wrapped up in your own existence. Everybody thinks that they are the star of their own movie, and for the lack

of a better term, that's very true. You live your life from your point of view, from your place out in the world. You actually don't

really think about others for the most part. You are on the roads or in a mall or going to an event with hundreds or thousands of people daily, and you continue to look at how it suits you rather than how it suits every talking about entitlement and the issues that you see daily, whether it is smash and grab robberies, whether it is the horrific treatment of others, like driving and hit and runs, where someone in a car can hit someone

and take their life often and drive off like they rolled over a cup from a fast food restaurant. Story out of Las Vegas of two young boys driving a car and video that videoing themselves as as they hit bisyleck by bicycle drivers and laughing even killing a retired cop who was just out for a ride and laughing. That kind of entitlement is beyond what you can imagine. I'm sure,

I hope. But even in that circumstance, one of the kids, and I say kids because they're under eighteen, but certainly not eighteen in mentality or not an adult in regular mentality, one would hope one of a said, you know it's going to be nothing will be out. The idea of zero consequences, the idea of being able to get away with whatever you want to do, is fuel for entitlement. There is there is nothing in the eyes of people that do crime that doesn't reek of entitlement. Along with that

comes the need for humility. Unfortunately, humility is not something you can purchase somewhere and put in your pocket. Humility often comes from humiliation, and those consequences can be quite interesting, to say the less to watch James four one through twelve. What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this that your passions are at war within you. You desire and you

do not have, so you murder. You covet and you cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel you do not have because you do not ask. You do not ask, and you do not receive because you ask wrongly to spend it all on your passions, You adulterous people. Do you not know that friendship with this world is supposed to be with God and not with this world. Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. So this is how it starts. It starts in

a placement of what is referred to in scripture as passions. But what that is his entitlement. You're making friends with the world, is being in that world, is going okay if you can't beat them, join them, and finding yourself justifying just like others, why you do the things you do, and how it's different from the way the rest of the world does the things

that they do. Talking about entitlement, the world of entitlement that continues to captivate people watch and say, oh my gosh, look at these smash and grab robberies. Look at people latently walking in to a store, taking things and leaving. You might have heard in the past couple of days that big stores are closing. Target is said to be closing nine of their locations.

Why because of the loss, all the theft, and putting their employees in front of people who don't act human, and their employees are being threatened, and for their safety and for all of the loss, they're just closing stores. I bet that's not something you've ever seen in your lifetime. And again, the entirety of this all traces back to entitlement. That is the center of all sin, that is the center of all crime, the justification in

one's mind to ignore the rules and to do whatever they want. They are the people that have justified in their heads that they can do anything, go anywhere, ignore rules, ignore laws, ignore the things that make a community a community, society, society. And unfortunately it doesn't take much for others to go, well, the heck with it. I'll do that too. I'm just going to do that. If they're going to do it, I'm

going to do it. You have to find your faith, find your humility, and be better than that to walk in a way that people can see, walk in a way that is so different that there are those that will have to ask about that hope with light that lies within you, because people of entitlement have no hope they don't know hope, they don't know love. All of this is done for their own gain. As a matter of fact,

it is. There used to be rules inside of these types of gangs or individual who would be like, yeah, i'll go do that, but even you know, don't snitch and all these things doesn't matter anymore if you put money behind it and reward money. Then you've got people calling others out easy peasy because they're so entitled. There's no there's no commonality. Even in thievery. It's just about the individual, and it's sort of understood that hey,

I'm just trying to get mine, but you're taking it. You're not getting, you're not earning, you're not taking anything into your own hands and learning to be strong, learning to give and be a part of the society. Second, Thessimonian three ten says, for even when we were with you, we would give you this command if if anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. Working as part of how a system stays together,

doing your part is imperative for these things to work. The breakdown now is that as stores close as people, especially mom and pop shops just say hey, we can't do this. Anymore. Can't live like this. We're being threatened, being shot at, have knives pulled, have tear gas, bear spray put in your eyes. I don't want to do it anymore. The very center of the American dream to be able to design your path. Shops that have been handed down from family member and generation to family member and

generation can't stand. You see even corporate owned stores, like I said about Target closing up nine different stores in the United States, and in this process is not a store going out of business. What you should see is a breakdown and being civilized. That's what a civilization is. It's a group of civilized people that come together in agreement of laws and order, and if those are not seen or utilized, it's done. There is no white or yellow

paint on a freeway that can stop your car. You have to participate in that and see that as a wall that helps you understand how you need to act on the roads. But it's not magic, it's not going to prevent anything. It's still on you, and those invisible or those visible lines in this case only matter for those that use them. But you can see people more and more doing things that before seem done. Civilized and that goes back to entitlement. So you have to answer your own questions. You have to

ask yourself, what are you entitled about? What are the things that you do that are excuses for you to break the rules because everyone does it, and believers sometimes can be the worst. I've seen believers justify all kinds of things, even against scripture, because what they want to see, what they want to be instead of what is, and the power of entitlement pulls down over and over and over, continually taking good people with it because now it

becomes the force of the ocean and the tide. Well, everybody's doing this. If I don't do it, then I'm going to be left out or I'm going to be the sucker. You have to be stronger and better than that. The chide the tide needs to be changed. You need to push in the opposite direction to write this imbalance. As believers should be uniting against these things, coming up with ideas, trying to find civilization again and being

civil to one another. And it should start with the people that believe that God has a plan. Wrapping up some thoughts on entitlement and the lack of humility and the desire to just grab what you want. The nickname for these types of crimes are called smash and grab. And how interesting is that? How base is that smash and grab? Just break, defile, destroy and grab what you want? And it isn't it interesting that the Creator reminds you

over and over that the enemy destroys. The enemy decides that destruction is the best method. And God, the Creator says that creating and building up. There are those that build and give. There is those that smash and grab the destruction that comes with it, not even caring about what that does to a community. Now, believe me, things are changing more and more.

You'll see people defending themselves. And it is legitimate to defend yourself, for sure, And it is a legitimate thing to want to protect what is yours. You have the right as a store owner. You have the right as someone hired by the store owner to protect those things as well. But God also reminds you the wrath of God is with you, and that there are times to find your humility in a peaceful way. Romans twelve nineteen says, beloved, never avenge yourself, but leave it to the wrath of God,

for it is written vengeance is mine. I will repair, he says the Lord, And that comes in the end. You're not supposed to be a doormat for those doing the devil's work. It's not my intent with that is to say that even when you think someone gets away with it, even when you think that the system didn't work for you, that God sees these things. So the people that may walk away thinking they're getting away are never getting away. They may be getting away for some time. They may think they're

getting away, but they are not. And finding yourself in a place to be that light to others, to return wallets to be a part of speaking up against crime. Being a good witness is one of the first things police will tell you to do. That's how you can do the best with crime is to be a good witness when law enforcement does step in to find out what's going on, To do your part of being civilized in an uncivilized situation.

But it all starts in the heart, every single bit of it, when that tiny little seed of entitlement grows, and right now it is growing into a strong, strong tree. The types of entitlement to harm a person, to take the life of a person for fun, or to think that they're not worth anything. To be able to drive over them and move on is heinous. But if there is no accountability, there is no rule of law, then the people that are on the fence in life will always choose

themselves over anyone else. The only thing that will push out the crime is humility. By way of humiliation, accountability, and no pie in the sky thoughts that they're just misguided, because misguidedness shouldn't take a life. Misguidedness is maybe taking some gum at a drug store and finding your way out of stupidity. But right now, humility is important. Accountability is important, and that should come from the people of hope, because people without hope do very,

very horrible things. Kf I am sixty on demand
