Saxophonist Gary Hammon has been playing jazz since the 1960s. Having started on the saxophone as a junior at Garfield High, he then went on to study at the New England Conservatory of Music in 1969, the first year Black students were accepted. Listen in to hear about his storied career as a musician in Boston, New York, and Seattle!
