Episode description

In today's episode, Jay sits down with Hadar, a leader of Sicarii 1715's Phoenix chapter. Sicarii 1715, an offshoot of the larger movement known as Black Hebrew Israelites, is a group whose followers believe that African Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans are the true descendants of the 12 Tribes of Israel. The Southern Poverty Law Center classifies them as an anti-American and anti-Semitic hate group. Jay attempts to unravel the fundamental beliefs of this group and get a general overview of the group's motivation and aim. This episode is not meant to promote a message but rather understand it. If ignorance is the root of all evil, then knowledge is the root of all good. To close yourself off from evil is not virtuous, it is cowardice. Instead, embrace the evil with love, empathy, and compassion; for only that will destroy it.
