But she was playing sort of not hide and seek, but a little girl was calling up to her from a stairwell above and in Paris there are these old lifts. Oh yeah, yeah, shafts that you can actually put your head around and into the lift shaft, into the shaft.

Yeah, the old ones. Anyway, she says, I learned to have the baister slightly.

My head got stuck by the descending elevator jam between it and the banister. She fell down a flight of stairs, broken neck. To this day she has no clue how she survived.

The lift came down and squashed flipped her over, so it must have flicked her out of the way, otherwise it would have just squashed her head. Oh how is she now? Fine? Yeah? I sorry, beautiful mom. Yep. Back in Melbourne.
