I've got many friends in the police force and they go to work every day to look after us and they all deserve

So they're saying ten police officers arrived at the property.

So it's right to carry out a warrant.

And they're alluding to the fact that they were ambushed by this guy.

Which is chilling. It's chilling in every sense. And I also feel for the people of poor Punker. This is a small regional town of around one thousand. There were kids at school yesterday that school was placed into lockdown because he and right now they are still being told to stay indoors, keep your doors locked like that is terrifying for the people there.

So as soon as he was on the arm, the schools were notified me and held to lock their doors and staying How scary for those children at school, for the parents whose kids are at school, terrible for the home.

So as poor Punk is still under lock and key, like a people still being advised to stay indoors.

This is happening in their town, and understandably worried that there wasn't many places open last night because they were heeding the advice of police staying indoors.

Melbourne's heavy hearts, especially in the Victoria Police Force, because they have lost two of their own. Two police officers at work yesterday morning, gunned down in Poorpunker. And this is a situation that has got so many consequences for so.

Many and it's still unfolding. I know, I was watching the news last night. I got really upset watching the news last night like these. We're very close to the Victoria Police in here. They come in every couple of weeks. We've met so many incredible men and women in the police force who turn up to work proud of their jobs to protect our community day in and day out, and losing one of their own hits. The police and the entire community very very hard.

Chief Commissioner Mike Bush, who's only just recently moved here to Victoria, he was in on the show a couple of weeks ago, and he was on location and spoke last night.

Firstly, I want to acknowledge how fine and brave officers that'd lost their lives today and the line of duty police officers went to execute a search weren't at that address. They were murdered in cold blood.
