How is Maya an illusion?

What we often perceive to be the truth is tainted with the lens of ignorance (Maya). The illusion of Maya keeps us from experiencing or knowing that there is only the One. When we start to serve, seeing everything to be a play of that One, the honour we receive is the very embrace of the One.
