In 2004, William gained fame for his audition on the singing competition series American Idol, where he sang Ricky Martin's hit song She Bangs. His appearance on Idol led to appearances on a variety of talk shows and commercials and he got the opportunity to record and release his own albums. Aside from the music business, William had a career in law and is currently a motivational speaker.
