We often ask ourselves, “did I get anything out of worship today"? The better questions we should ask are, “did God get anything out of my worship today?, was God pleased with my worship?, was He satisfied in my worship?, was my worship focused on my needs or God’s pleasure?, was I prepared to worship God or did I just show up and hope something good would happen?". Today we are going to consider how to prepare a true heart for worship by considering the hymn, Come Thou Fount. In this hymn we challenge people to discover the true purpose of worship, to see God as He reveals himself, so that we can respond to Him appropriately by aligning our lives with His will and purpose.
