Episode description

This summer, we’re excited to share a new limited podcast series from KHOL and Stio in the Jackson Unpacked feed. In five episodes, "Facets: Voices of the Mountain Life" explores the passions, tensions and healing that people find while living in a mountain town.

The fourth episode, “Leading The Change,” is about Wyoming women, who have been breaking boundaries ever since the state became the first to grant women the right to vote in 1869. KHOL’s Emily Cohen speaks to contemporary pioneering women, including the first woman on the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski patrol and Wyoming’s first Native American woman to run for national office, about how they’ve pushed boundaries in a landscape of extremes.

Jackson Unpacked airs locally at 89.1 FM or via live-stream Mondays at 7:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 3 p.m., Fridays at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and Sundays at 12:30 p.m. Support Jackson’s only nonprofit newsroom by becoming a member of KHOL today.
