Impatience is a brutal joy killer. It's an entitlement to having our expectations met, the way we want it when we want it. Expectations that are probably a smidge unrealistic to begin with.
And when we don't get our way?
Heavy sigh. Tapping foot. Snarky comment. Full blown meltdown.
We have to fully understand and prepare for the fact that all good things worth while take time.
And that the best way to combat impatience? Like the entire month of December leading up to Christmas Day - joy is often most found in the anticipation, the preperation and the hope of a wonderful blessing.
The blessing itself isn't even that big of a deal in comparison.
Refuse to be impatient. Find your joy in the waiting.
