Episode description

Dylan Palladino, Comedian and host of We're All Psychos Podcast RETURNS for an extremely WILD and informative podcast. We recap how far he has come since we recorded his last appearance (from ep 167). We talk snacks, dating the wrong person on purpose, and how to take a relationship one day at a time.  We also cover Avoidant Attachment Disorder in adult relationships, which is CURABLE.

We go over the finer points of avoidant attachment on our instagram! But as a little preview, here are the Adult Attachment Styles:

ADULT ATTACHMENT STYLES

AVOIDANT (dismissive)
  • Devalues Desire and Importance of Relationships
  • Exceedingly Self-Reliant
  • May Become Vulnerable In Extreme Crisis
AVOIDANT (fearful)
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • High Anxiety In Relationships
  • Vigorously Fears Rejection
  • More Dependant in Relationships Than Dismissive
  SECURE
  • Can Trust Easily
  • Communicates Boundaries With Ease
  • Compromises Often as Always Positions Themself as Flexible and Cooperative
  • Self Aware of Emotions
ANXIOUS

  • Fears outcome of sharing needs
  • Always living in "survival" mode, Central Nervous System (CNS) very sensitive
